This giveaway is closed. Just waiting for a few more members to finish their applications, then I'll lock it. It's what you've all been waiting for, folks! Jaxamar was our thirtieth member, and so this is born! Woot! Right. This is NOT a giveaway where you just take a legendary. They are super-uber-mega-rare, after all. True, there are more than one in Enera, but still. To obtain a legendary, you must write an RP sample as the legendary using the form given. This can be about how the legendary meets your character, or just the legendary doing something. Purely for fairness, these legendaries will NOT be all that much more powerful that normal Pokémon. It's not fair if a Pidgeot and an Articuno both use Aerial Ace, but Articuno's is more powerful. These legendaries as more powerful, of course, but not by much. NO SHINIES. Shiny legendaries don't exist here, sorry. You may, of course, get legendaries later on. I sorta intend to have another one of these when we hit the 100 milestone, so look out for that. Also, you might meet one on a thread, so look out for that ;P About the two choices. Well, if I don't think your post is good enough for you to get your first choice, you might still get your second choice. You may pick any legendary (not shiny, obviously) for your first choice, but for your second, since I don't feel that people should be able to get one of the 'uber-legends' like Arceus for an average post, you can ONLY pick one for a second choice from the following; Mespirit Uxie Phione Registeel Regirock Regice Reggigigas Right. Now that's over. OK, there's one more thing. This is first come, first serve. If a person posts a post which is a WIP, no-one can ask for their choices. However, if their post remains unedited for a week (unless they tell me the reason), then I will allow other people to ask for their legendary. SO FAR; Articuno- RoseQuatz, level 5 Mewtwo - Level 6, Rolly Mew - Level 5, Aeryenne Raikou - Level 7, Halofire Entei - Level 7, Angel Suicune - Level 6, Birdybot (thanks guys) Lugia - Level 7, Arienette Celebi - Level 5, Jaxamar Jiratchi - Level 5, RDSR Azelf - Level 6, Wolf Dialga - Daesiggil, level 5 Giratina - AlphaSuicune, level 5 Cresseria - Level 8, Ichigo Manaphy - Cheyenne, first choice, WIP Darkrai - Ninja, level 7 Shaymin - Basset, level 5

Username: Birdybot. Character: Sulteron Koagle First Choice: Suicune Second Choice: Jiratchi RP Sample: Great black clouds came together, veiling the vivid blue sky from view. The sun shone for a brief, desperate moment, before the many thick layers of water droplets blocked even it from view, shrouding the world below in shadow. As the strong north winds began to blow fiercly, raging through the plains, the clouds were blown together, crackling with static electricity as they did so. The first clash of thunder wrang through the air like a badly tuned church bell, it's eiree peal accompanied by a flash of light which lit up the area again. Rain spluttered down from the scene, each one like a mysterious pale blue marble. They drummed down on the earth, kissing the thirsty plant, but scolding the Pokémon and humans with their icey pouding. Then, more unusual than all of this, there came a ghostly, spine-chilling howl, echoing through anyone's soul.
The wolf lifted his muzzle to the heavens as the great howl escaped him, flowing purple mane waving out behind her. The storm would make her safe. No-one in their right mind would come through it now. If anyone tried to hurt her, her brothers, Raikou and Entei, would help. She knew they would. The hum of a van peirced the other sounds, lighting a spark of fear in Suicune's chest. The men. They were still here. Team Tsuasa. Suicune ran. This was not the legendary's normal swift, graceful run which made her a blur, however. Suicune's front left leg was twisted into an awkard position, and she was weak. She limped, barely faster than a man. Her breath came in rasping pants as her flank heaved up and down, fearing that each breath could be her last.
Bang! The first gunshot echoed through the forest, meeting the rough bark of a tree with explosive force, sending chunks of tree everywhere. Suicune whimpered in fear, but she kept running. Her blistered paws send painful shocks as they drummed against the earth, but still she kept going. She stumbled, sweat as well as water dripping from her soft blue fur. Her eyelids were drooping, and she fought to remain awake as she fled from the man on his motorbike. Her lungs were rasping for air, but the alveoli inside refused to expand. Her muscles were roaring at her to stop, lie down, take a rest, but she knew what would happen if she did. She would likely never wake up unless someone forced her too, and no-one would dare do that.
It was hard now for Suicune to even perform the simple task of intimidation and warning with the storm, and the rain and hail began to subside. No... Suicune would not end this way. This man... surely he did not realise what he was doing? Another gunshot, this time scoring a line in the flesh of her front left paw, the injured one. It was tiny scratch, but all the same she howled in pain, her rage and frustration showed clearly in the sound which would have driven a normal person away in fear. But the man kept going. She could barely keep up a run at all now, making sure her terrible paw, now dripping in blood, never touched the ground. A cackle, and a shout of "Bow down to me, legendary! You are defeated, and my work here is done. Adeu." before there came a final bang. Suicune's right flank exploded in pain as her vision turned black.
"Suicune? Suicune! WAKE UP!" a girl was weeping when Suicune was able to pay attention. A male voice, that was somehow still the female's, responded; her daemon. ~Sulteron, apparently sometimes people respond to orders better. SUICUNE! WAKE UP NOW!~ he commaned. Suicune's weary eye partially opened. Through her hazy world, she could see a shiny Espeon Pokémorph shake her head to a panic-striken Umbreon daemon. "Oh, Jizu, she's not gonna make it, is she? She's gonna die, right here, in our hands, Jizu!" the girl, whose daemon, Jizu, had called her Sulteron, was weeping. The daemon became an Eevee, cuddling up to her and whispering soothing words.
Suicune was making this Sulteron cry with her weakness. She felt... she was being cared for. That was so unusual. That really didn't happen. Most people would just lob Pokéballs at her, but this Sulteron was helping her. Suicune's paw touched Sulteron's arm, making the girl look up, her face lighting up in joy. It was clear that she was fighting the urge to fling her arms around the wolf. Suicune gave a weak chuckle. ~You called you daemon Jizu and your daemon called you Sulteron, correct?~ she inquired, recieving nods. ~Well, Sulteron. You are helping me. Most trainers would simply attempt to catch me, but you... you are helping. Helping me heal.~ she nodded, deep thanks in her eyes as they moved from Sulteron's eyes to Jizu's, and then the bandages wrapped tightly around her chest and left leg. They were stained with crimson.
Sulteron hesistantly stroked Suicune's fur soothingly, Jizu changing yet again, still stressed; he was now a Noctowl, shuffling his wings nervously and never staying still. Suicune attempted to get up, but Sulteron shook her head. "No, Suicune, you can't. You might hurt your leg even more." she explained. Suicune nodded slightly, purple flowing mane shivering as she did so. ~In what ways did you treat me?~ she asked, wondering how well her wounds had been taken care of. Sulteron looked intelligent and like someone she could trust, but since she was just a child she would probably not be the more experienced of doctors. Jizu seemed to cringe, as if the memory pained him.
Sulteron, too, winced. "Well, you were out for hours... I gave you anesthetic, so if you still feel numb, that's why. Your leg has a big wound in it, and the joint is not lined up proberly. I don't have any casts with me, so I couldn't secure it, so you'll just have to try and not move it. Your flank wound was horribly deep. I took out the bullet, and made sure nothing was damaged. It narrowly missed the pleural fluid. One of your ribs was knocked, and I can't fix that. I didn't have any stitches, so I used several plasters instead, then the bandage." she explained the damage, watching for Suicune's outrage as she listen calmly to this. No outrage came.
Suicune sighed, glad for the breath. This girl had been brave. The wound must have looked pretty disgusting, if she had been able to tell her about the rib and pleural fluid, the stuff cushioning her lungs. A smile passed over the wolf's face, and a glimmer of love appeared in her eyes as she looked at the Espeon 'morph and her daemon. ~Sulteron, Jizu, I thank you. From my entire heart and soul, I thank you. I know for sure that I would not have survived this if you hadn't come along. You have saved my life. For that, I am in your dept. Hm. I have an idea. We are currently on the second Route. That means that Silav Town isn't far away. Sulteron, take me to the Pokémon Center there. And, since I cannot walk, feel free to transport me easily... in a Pokéball. And once I am healed, you need not set me free. I will join you, Sulteron.~ Suicune half-announced, half-ordered.
Sulteron's eyes widened in amazement and joy, and Jizu cawed in excitement, hovering in the air beside her as she fumbled with a Pokéball. She pressed the button, and Suicune was drawn inside. She felt a tremendous force overcome the Pokéball, before it silenced. She had caught Suicune. And once she was healed at the Pokémon Center, Suicune would stay Sulteron's. Feeling like this was a dream, the Espeon 'morph stood up and made for Silav Town at a run, examining the Pokéball. It seemed that as a result of the force on the Pokéball, it had attained a blue tint and a small image of a water droplet over the button. She smiled, running on. Almost there.
To be continued in her Silav Town thread...

Username: Arienette Character: Arienette Oberst First Choice: Lugia Second Choice: Mew RP Sample:
Arienette pulled herself up the last few rocks, feeling the stone cut into the flesh on her palms. She crawled onto the top of the mountain, standing unsteadily and idly wiping the blood from her hand on her black jeans. The pain didn't even register in her mind anymore and her jeans had darker stains just visible on the fabric to mark the many slices already half healed in her palms. She bent back over the rock she had just climbed, laid flat on her stomach. Sel was looking up at her, his Houndoom ears laid back against his head telling her exactly how much he was enjoying the little trip up the mountain. "Cheer up, Sel," Arienette told him through gritted teeth as she wrapped her hands under Sel's belly and lifted him up, her ruined sneakers hooked under the heavy rock she was on. "This is going to be worth it. The view is supposed to be amazing, and all those superstitious Pokemon in the forest kept saying something was up here; something 'unseen for centuries and once again awakened', as that elderly Slowking kept saying." "You believed him?" Sel asked, eyes trained determinedly on Arienette's face. "Did you see his eyes? He'd seen whatever this is before, last time it was around. It's not in his soul to lie." Sel nodded. He'd seen the Slowking as clearly as Arienette. He had been mostly white from age, kept alive for these long centuries by who knew what forces. Sel believed him, too. Just didn't mean he had to like climbing a mountain. Arienette settled Sel on firm ground and the pair walked a few yards away from the edge of the mountain, looking for a good place to sit and wait. The sinking sun finally let its touch reluctantly leave the mountaintop, leaving Arienette and Sel in shadows. Within minutes, something stirred. Perhaps it was the wind, or perhaps a breath, or the single beat of a pair of wings. Whatever it was didn't matter to Arienette. She jumped to her feet and tried to half charge, half pick her way carefully to where the sound had come from. Suddenly, there was a WOOOSH so powerful, it sucked the air from Arienette's lungs. She fell to the ground, tearing the knees out of her jeans. A great pale form suddenly rose from the darkness. It was white with darker bits on its back and face, and its mouth gaped wide to show rows of teeth. As a ball of light began to form in its mouth, Arienette shouted, "No, Lugia!" For Lugia the Pokemon was. It had stayed hidden for more centuries than can be held in the mind and here it was before them now, a wildness in its eyes frightening to behold. Lugia hesitated, recognition creeping into its crazed eyes. It slowly closed its mouth, extinguishing the Hyper Beam with it. I am Lugia. it said. Sel didn't have to translate for his human for once, as Lugia was speaking telepathically. I am Lugia. it repeated, relishing the use of a voice unheard for ages. Arienette stared at Lugia, not brave enough to blink should the Pokemon disappear. She wanted to see Lugia every day, forever. But she did not want to risk it hating her if she used a PokeBall on it, which would not have worked anyway. "Will you train us Lugia? Will you train me?" Arienette asked. She would train with Lugia and earn its trust. Eventually, she would cross a frightening line and ask it to join her, but for now, she would wait. Lugia looked down at her, wings spread so wide behind itself, the stars were blocked. It gave no answer except a small nod, just barely perceptable.

Username: Basset Character: Hm.. either Danny or David. I don't trust Frannie with a legendary. After much wracking of my brain, I shall give the legendary to Danny. Even though David is mi favorito. First Choice: Shaymin Second Choice: Latias RP Sample: (it's from a gifted role play i did a while back, but if i have to make a pokemon sample, i'd be find doing that and if i have to make a new one, i'd like my two legendary picks to be under the WIP title, since i shall be gone at girls camp for a week and won't be able to fix it on second thought, i'll just make a whole new thing with danny)
danny is navy, lilola is black, and shaymin is green
-
Danny absentmindedly kicked at the dirt. A scowl crossed his usually happy features as he muttered to himself. His Glaceon daemon followed in his footsteps, sniffing at the dirt. Danny was never angry, what was wrong with him? Saddling up next to him, Lilola placed a paw on his leg.
After gently patting Lilola on the head, Danny grabbed a map from his pocket. "How can I get lost following this map? I mean, maps show the way!" Danny muttered, narrowing his eyes and crumpling the map up. "Don't worry Danny, we'll get to the lab. Don't worry." Lilola said kindly, nuzzling into the Pokemorph's leg.
Dropping the crumpled map up on the floor, Danny's right ear twitched as he thought he heard a small Pokemon move. Glancing toward the sound, all Danny found was a small patch of grass with a large pink flower. Shaking his head, he walked on, Lilola walking over to the clump of grass and sniffed it.
Turning back to Lilola, Danny was about to yell at his daemon for keeping him waiting, when he saw a small hedgehog poking noses with Lilola. "Who are you?" he asked, bending down and sticking a hand out to pet the little Pokemon on the head. But he was shocked when he heard another voice, higher than his own or Lilola. And it was as if it was inside his head.
"What are you? A human or Pokemon?"
Startled, Danny fell over backwards. Had the hedgehog just talked to him? No, but it couldn't be, it was just a small Pokemon, harmless enough. But then he heard the same voice again.
"You haven't answered my question yet!"
Glancing around, Danny shuddered. This was starting to get creepy. "Um... Well, I'm a Pokemorph, which means I'm part Pokemon, part human, if that answers your question." Lilola walked closer to the hedghog before sniffing it again. "This thing sure smells odd, different from most Pokemon." she said, taking a step back.
"That thing has a name, and it's right here in front of you." The hedgehog turned to face Lilola and glared.
Taking another step back, Lilola shuddered. "This, hedgehog, is freaking me out Danny, let's leave while we can." Danny shook his head. "No, I want to stay here Lilola."
The hedgehog seemed to smile before walking closer and touching noses with Lilola. "I'm Shaymin."
Danny smiled before reaching out to pet the Pokemon on the head. "Wait a minute, if your Shaymin.... Shaymin's a legendary!" Danny stumbled back yet again and yelled. He had actually just pet a legendary Pokemon! His smile returned before he sat down cross-legged and motioned for the Shaymin to crawl onto his lap. "I'm Danny and this is Lilola, my daemon."
The Shaymin smiled before snuggling into the middle of his legs. "Nice to meet you Danny and Lilola."
Danny smiled at Lilola before scratching Shaymin behind the ears. This was going to be great.

FINISHED! Username: Ninja Character: Lee Ann M. Cornelia First Choice: Darkrai Second Choice: Celebi RP Sample:It was a simply beautiful day, there was no doubt about it. A bright, cherry sun danced across a turquoise stage, casting its warm glow across the audience below. An ever-restless breeze meandered through the woods, playing with the resident trees and Pokemon without a care and offering a much welcomed relief when the rays of sunlight became too much to handle. The occasional cloud rolled by in the heavens above, watching over the life below like a kind of god or guardian angel. And Lee Ann Marie Cornelia was there to experience it all.
She and her motley crew of Pokemon had taken this day off to simply enjoy the breath-taking wonder of the Route. A nice, spacious tent had been pitched in a clearing; the oaks and elms and cottonwoods bowed their branches, seeming to welcome them into an herbaceous embrace. A roaring fire had been built with five seating arrangements encircled around it - a foldable armchair and four ‘nests’ for the use of Pokemon. Lee Ann herself was leaned over their fire, tending to a pot of stew that simmered just above the crimson flames. Her emerald eyes lit up with excitement as her wrist swirled a wooden spoon around and around, the mouth-watering aroma of meat and veggies - along with the faintest trace of cinnamon, her own little addition - alerting her that it was done!
Her team, meanwhile, romped and played in an open space strewn with several fallen leaves, making for the perfect place to practice their skills and have a fun, safe time in the process! Queenie, the Shiny Kangashkan and her foster child, a Vulpix named Aspen, laughed and giggled together as the fire fox played hide-and-go-seek under the gentle giant’s legs, always keeping one paw step ahead to avoid the arms of her mother. Snark the Shiny Houndour and Izara were engaged in an intense wrestling match, the daemon with the form of a Growlithe. They rolled, kicked, pawed, and nipped in friendly competition, neither willing to give in and become the weakling of the hour. The only downside, of course, was that whenever Iza took a sharp canine tooth to the ear, Lee would yelp as well!
“Hey, you guys!” she called to them, a playful grin spread across her face, “Soup’s on! You can kill each other later, ‘kay?”
Two sets of dog ears instantly perked and the sound of excited panting filled the air as both took off for the young teenager, racing to finish their competition once and for all. Queenie scooped up an ecstatic Vulpix in her caring, motherly arms, lumbering over to their campsite before tenderly placing her child on the make-shift seat of leaves and moss before retiring to her own seat - one made much larger, of course. In one swift movement, Izara morphed into a Munchlax, flopped onto his hound rival, then leapt up as a Buizel and slinked back to the seat next to his human, eagerly awaiting the well-earned grub. Lee dished up and distributed the stew, each corresponding with the size of the Pokemon whom would consume it. In moments, every mouth was happily lapping up the tasty concoction, grateful bellies being filled with the yummy goodness.
The day came and went with more frolic and fun, girl and Pokemon alike bonding ever closer from the events of the afternoon - one of which included teaming up to dump Lee Ann in the river! That ended up with a group dog pile - no pun intended - onto a very wet and very hysterical teen. After a change into dry clothes, everyone gathered back ‘round the campfire, watching with anticipation as the sun took its final act of the day, sinking low under the horizon. The sky was painted a radiant shade of gold, highlights of pink and orange and red streaking across the gorgeous palette of colors. An array of purple clouds slowly drifted away, completing the sunset in a way you only saw in story books. Lee heaved a contented sigh, casting her gaze across her beloved Pokemon.
“Yep, it’s not many times you come across a day as perfect as today,” she commented, smiling lazily. Everyone agreed, shuffling closer to the warm glow of the fire. Suddenly, Lee stood up, giving her fingers a snap. “You know what we need? Marshmallows! Can’t go camping without toasted sugar!” With that she disappeared into her tent, digging around in her things for the sweet treats of pure sugar.
She returned moments later, five sticks in one hand and a bag in the other. “Y’see,” she explained, attaching a marshmallow to each branch, “you hold it near the fire to toast it. That gives it the most heavenly taste!” She passed around the treats before demonstrating with her own marshmallow, holding it just above the lick of the flames. Izara had no trouble with his Buizel paws and Queenie helped Aspen with hers; Snark, however, had to awkwardly clench it in his jaws, careful not to lose it in the all-consuming greed of the fire. Soon they were all enjoying their delicious junk food, licking and slurping as it dissolved delightfully in their mouths.
~~~
It wasn’t long before a dark sphere had risen into the night sky. Lee sighed, only a bit disappointed. It would have been nice to view a big, glittery full moon on such a clear night; even the stars seemed a bit dull tonight. She was so lost in her own thoughts that she hardly realized her own Pokemon become tense. Snark’s muscles began to tighten and ripple under his midnight blue fur as he swung his snout from side to side, searching in the night for... What? What was it exactly that made him feel this... Uneasy? Even Queenie seemed to notice something was off; she scooped up and cradled little Aspen, hunching her shoulders protectively over her foster child.
“L-Lee…” Iza began, shifting closer to his human, “Can’t you feel it? Something’s wrong…!” Even as he spoke he could feel his own pulse beginning to pick up until he’d retreated to her arms, fur bristling as he too searched for the cause of their anxiety.
Lee took a sharp intake of breath, wrapping her arms around her daemon. He was right; there was something out there! But what? She could see or hear nothing in the stillness of the night. A wavering, unusually pale hand reached for the Pokeballs around her belt and held them up, saying, “Y-you guys better return, okay?” Three separate rays of light shot from the devices, splashing around their respective residents before sucking them back in. Lee shuddered, scooching closer to the inviting warmth of the fire. Iza wriggled out of her arms, becoming a Zangoose; standing on his back legs to seem more menacing, he ‘patrolled’ their campsite, cautiously checking over every detail to make sure the coast was clear.
Meanwhile, Lee was having a mental argument with herself. I’m not afraid of the dark. she strictly told herself, wrapping her arms around her legs. No, she was absolutely, 100% NOT afraid of the dark. In fact, if it weren’t for this horrible feeling that she was being watched, she wouldn’t even be having this conversation! ...With herself. It was just... Ooh, why couldn’t she shake this sense that she wasn’t alone out here?
~~~
He was most powerful on the night of the new moon - the darkest, longest night of the month. It was the time day he dare come out of hiding, for that fool Cresslia would pursue him any and every other evening.
But not tonight.
She wouldn’t dare approach him at the peak of his power! Not any more than he would appose her at the light of the full moon. In a way, the two days in every monthly cycle were a sort of truce; a period of resting before the chase continued. He fed off of the absolute darkness; it would sustain him until the next new moon.
But… What was this?
Light?
No, fire.
From sheer instinct, he sunk into the ground, a dark shadow lurking in the dead of night. The embers came from a clearing in the woods; he inched closer for a better look. After all, any who would face him tonight would be risking their lives. He was untouchable.
Three Pokemon were circled around the fire, along with a young human female and her daemon in the form of a Buizel. The mismatched team hadn’t seemed to notice his presence yet; they continued to talk, laugh among themselves.
He continued to watch them. Humans and their strange ways... So many were twisted and evil, with vile intentions of owning the world.
But this one seemed different. She and her Pokemon... They were simply enjoying each other’s company. She did not see them as tools of destruction, but rather partners, friends even. It intrigued him. No, it wasn’t often he came across a human like this.
It was then that he realized the Pokemon - who he vaguely recognized as Houndour, Kangaskhan, and Vulpix - became tense. The hound shifted uneasily, and the others huddled together in a strange embrace. The girl didn’t seem to notice... Until her daemon spoke to her.
She pulled out three small objects and held them in the air. In moments the threesome were sucked inside their separate containers.
Another unusual act.
So many humans would have sent their Pokemon out to defend them, even at their own risk! But not her. She was more worried about their well-being than her own. The child’s daemon took the form of a Zangoose, taking a few steps toward him; then turned and went the other way, never leaving the faint glow of the fire. Though he was deathly afraid, he wanted to protect his human. A common act among such creatures. This girl intrigued him. So he decided to show himself.
In one swift movement, the silhouette on the ground slid from its hiding place in the trees and into the open. Slowly, he ascended into full view, staring intently at her with his one eye.
~~~
“L-Lee!” Iza hissed, scrambling to her side, “Something’s coming!” Lee Ann sharply sucked in a deep breath of air, huddling closer to her daemon. What if it was a blood-thirsty Crobat? Or an Ursaring on a rampage?! There was no way her Pokemon could stand up against a fully-evolved fighting machine.
But it was not a vampire with a taste for young girls. Or a forest-dwelling demon that mauled younger Pokemon and raided campsites. It was a shadow... No ordinary shadow either, for there was nothing around to create such an abstract shape. She took a step back and it began to take form.
First came a wispy, off-white pillar of smoke. It shrouded around the creatures head, concealing most all except a glowing blue eye. There was a red growth around its neck - a sort of necklace - that reminded Lee greatly of a pair of jaws. Its body structure made it seem like it was wearing a tattered robe, and several appendages billowed behind it like black fire, though it seemed solid enough. Last of all came two stilt-like 'legs', which it seemed to balance on.
There was an awkward, skin-pricking silence where Lee Ann and the creature simply stared at one another. Iza took a protective step in front of his human, breathing hard.
Lee was the first to speak: "H-hello... What... What are you, if you don't mind me asking?"
<I am Darkrai,> it replied. When she didn't see its mouth move, she realized it must be using some kind of telepathy. Well, he, because she was quite sure this being was male.
'Do you know what that is, Lee?' Iza pressed, speaking into her mind. 'That's a legendary Pokemon! They're supposed to be really rare!'
Lee found that she wasn't afraid anymore. Despite his malicious, almost phantom-like appearance, Darkrai didn't seem to be up to anything bad. In fact, he seemed more interested in her than anything else. She gulped before continuing.
"Erm... Do you... Want a marshmallow?" She held out the bag to the creature, grinning slightly. He said nothing. She ran a hand through her hair. "Would you... Like to join us around the fire?" She gestured to the seating arrangements. "It is a bit chilly out..." Again, nothing.
<Your ways intrigue me, human.> he stated, casting a glance at Izara. Lee felt him shiver, and a hint of a smile tugged at her lips. She had such a wimp of a daemon. <You've proved that not all humans are twisted beings.> This brought her attention back to him, eyes widening. Her? What did she do to deserve such... Praise?
But what he said next completely baffled her.
<I would be honored if you would allow me to travel with you... For the time being.>
That was completely unexpected. Why would such a celestial being take an interest in her? She was merely a beginning trainer, with only three Pokemon to her name. In fact, she hadn't even had a real battle yet, with a real trainer! Though it was a bitter thought, she was a noob. Darkrai could undoubtedly obliterate her with one blast. But still... She could really learn a lot from him. Snark, being a dark type as well, might even get the hang of a cool new move! This was a big opportunity.
"W-well," she began, "if you really want to. I mean, you can do what you want - I'm not stopping you!"
Darkrai smiled; at least, Lee thought he smiled. Though he didn't say any more. Retracting his 'legs', he floated forward, stuck a three-fingered hand into the bag, and took a marshmallow.
That was how it all began. ((I hope the reference to Cresselia isn't cheating.. ._. )
Username: Aerynne. Character: Setsuko Umi. First Choice: Mew. Second Choice: Articuno. RP Sample:
It was that dream again. That dream which might have been a memory but if so it was of an event that had occurred so long ago that it wouldn’t even matter anymore if it was. The sensations that plagued the nightmare were always so vivid though … that there was always the fear that the dream was not a memory, but a prophecy or a vision. The black and red bubbling earth, hotter than the mightiest blaze any Moltres could conjure, keeping the Mew from landing. The weight of the air and the stench it carried was so heavy and unpleasant, that its lungs were weak and begged for rest. Worst of all were the sounds, a million screams from all walks of life, birds, humanoids, rodents and fish, as if they were all being skewered over the raging oven below. The sky could not be seen from the level of flight to which the Mew was restrained, not through the thick clouds of ash – but the sun could … a sort of black and golden solar eclipse … an omen like no other.
The mew sobbed in a tiny bubble in the ocean, hiding from what might be the reality above the break in the waves. This dream had not taken over its mind in many years and although it was never easy to recover from, this time was especially hard. The legendary pokemon stopped short however, as something heavy put pressure on its simple barrier. It grunted in surprise and rotated its fetal position from face down to face up to inspect the obstruction. It was a cinderblock, attached to a net. ’Deep sea fishing,’ the mew had heard it discussed in the minds of many men in these waters, whether they condemned the act or performed it. Seadra, Luvdisc and Relicanth squealed in the foreign confines, wiggling desperately as the cinderblocks pulled the netting over the sandy floor, tangling the creatures before starting its fast-paced ascent. The mew had watched in some times, but as in others it felt obliged to interfere.
Its barrier changed from a sphere to a sort of pyramid structure and with its angle ready the Mew sped through the netting, tearing it in several places and releasing the fishermen’s catch. The Mew sighed gently; a cooing noise and a few bubbles emit from the barrier as it popped back into a ball form. Unwilling to bring its attention to the grateful pokemon, the Mew drifted down a chasm and once out of sight, teleported itself far away. The sensation of teleporting was like waking up in a different reality. A tingling traveled up the Mew’s spine and the woodland looked foreign, though it new the area well and had been coming here for many years, just as it knew the oceans. There were still a few areas untouched by man and the dark rotten disposition of this area slaked even the most curious of their scientists. The Mew let its bubble fade to nothingness, as it seemed that today these conditions even spared it the company of other pokemon.
The mud of the earth was warm and gooey on the Mew’s feet. It tickled and the pokemon couldn’t help but wiggle its toes. It dipped its tail in a puddle, one that would soon hold life from a passing storm. The dark clouds overhead were a right sight considering the Mew’s previous thoughts, but they were surely rainclouds and the earth was hardly boiling, and between these clouds, regular healthy sunlight pierced the sky. The Mew dipped its tail in the mud and stamped around with glee before taking off in a swift burst of energy. It had never tried, but always wondered if it could break the sound barrier. The familiarity of the sky was so soothing, unlike the earth and the oceans, the sky never changed. The grim blue underside of the clouds vanished in favor of the white cotton tops that worshiped the sun. The heat here was unlike that of the mud, and so much more refreshing than the cool states of the chasms of the oceans.
The Mew summoned another barrier, feeling a nearby presence. It called out to the airborne creature, “Who is there?”
A small Jumpluff caught in an updraft fluttered up from the mess of clouds, and the Mew had time to relax before it giggled and twirled itself round in introduction, “I am Dandy, a seedling Jumpluff. I’ve only just evolved and earned my rights to this height of the sky.”
“I am a Mew, there are so few of us, we do not identify by name. It’s very nice to meet you,” the Mew finished, feeling the need to be somewhat welcoming to the young creature. It could not remember ever being so young. The Jumpluff, to the Mew’s upset, still looked a little set off. The Mew decided to try and pursue the conversation, as the silence in the clouds always seemed awkward when one wasn’t alone, as even if two flying pokemon only met in passing, as they passed, they did feel an emptiness if they did not interact, through the Mew’s telepathy, it knew this to be true. “Would you like to play a game?”
“Oh yes!” cried the blue puff, and the Mew smiled with slit eyes.
The rules or concept of the game would be hard for a human to grasp and so a description of what took place would better suffice. With its barrier activated, the Jumpluff would bounce the Mew through the clouds, like a solo game of catch, attempting to toss the barrier downwards from above and catch it from underneath to throw it up again. It quite bonded the two pokemon, and for a while the Mew remembered what it was like before such elaborate evolution of all creatures and when sight of it and its power did not cause such confusion as to ruin any opportunity for friendship. Dandy left on his way home when the sun had reached the cloud horizon, which was long before it reached the earthen horizon, and the Mew was left hovering in the sky once again. Alone, it did its best to perch atop a cloud edge and follow the condensation until hunger became its main desire.
Username: ichigo Character: Ichigo Fukade First Choice: Deoxys Second Choice: Cresselia RP Sample:"Ichigo, is this absolutely neccesary?" Kizu asked. The Natu daemon was currently perched on the shoulder of a rather short girl with medium-length strawberry-blond hair. She giggled a bit as he complained, used to it at this point; he loved nothing more than complaining.
"I still don't see why you're complaining. After all, it's not like you're actually doing anything," she sighed as she continued. She had heard stories and rumors about a strange meteor that had crashed down in this very area recently, and had gotten curious. She could see the crater from her vantage point, and decided to tease Kizu a little. "See? I told you it was here."
"Fine; you were right. For once," he whispered so that she couldn't hear. He could be tough sometimes, but the last thing he wanted was for her to be mad at him. Ichigo, apparently satisfied, made her way towards the crater. It was pretty big and deep, so the meteor must have been huge. So why did she only see fragments of it? "Maybe the crash blew it apart," Kizu suggested.
"Maybe you're right," she answered, a bit disappointed. Oh well, a fragment was better than nothing. She headed down into the crater, noticing a particularly distinct fragment. "Perfect! That'll be a great souvenier!" she decided.
...Where... Where am I?
"Kizu, did you say something?" Ichigo asked, a little nervous.
"You were probably just hearing things; I didn't hear anything," Kizu answered roughly.
Who are you?
This time, Kizu heard it and tensed up. He'd never heard a voice like that before. It sounded like a Pokemon, but there was something different about it. Ichigo, desperate to break the tension, cleared her throat.
"My name is Ichigo, and this is Kizu. Who are you?" she asked.
...Deoxys. I'm scared; I've... been so lonely here.
"...I know what that's like. Lonliness is painful isn't it," she sighed. "But since Kizu is with me, I don't feel so alone anymore. He is my trusted friend,"
It was quiet for a moment, but a green aurora startled them suddenly. The Pokemon that appeared before them was unlike anything they had ever seen, but its most distinguishing feature was the green crystal in the centre of its chest. Ichigo gently extended her hand. Kizu was a bit wary, but he trusted her instincts.
"Friends?" she asked with a slight smile.
Deoxys' crystal emitted a small green diamond shaped aurora. It circled her, causing her to laugh gently.
Yes. Friends...
Username: jaxamar Character: Jaxamar Flameheart First Choice: Rayquaza Second Choice: Celebi RP Sample: Jax knelt and plucked a flower from the ground. Holding it up to the end of his beak, he took a long, deep breath, savouring the sweet scent of the flower. Gareth, too, decided to have a sniff, and shifted on Jax's shoulders, moving his head close to the flower. Jax sat down, and tossed the flower to the winds. He placed a hand on the side of his neck, feeling the fluffy down there.
"I'll never get used to this," Jax said, holding his other hand before his beaked face. "The speed possibly. But my strength..." Jax slammed his hand down against the ground in frustration, leaving a handprint pressed into the soil.
"What is wrong?" asked a voice, a loud one. In the distinctive, but rarely-heard cry of Rayquaza. Jax leapt to his feet and reached for a Pokeball, only to remember that the only Pokemon he had would have no chance of defeating the legendary Pokemon. "Rayquaza?" he asked, facing the huge Pokemon's head as the long body curled so that Rayquaza surrounded him. "Yes." "This is a surprise," Gareth said with his characteristic bluntness. "I was changed recently," Jax said, to explain to the Pokemon, "I didn't used to look like this. And I became faster and stronger. A lot stronger. I keep breaking stuff I don't mean to." "I see. That would be a problem for you surface dwellers."
Jax rubbed the place where his chin had once been. "What are you doing down at the surface?" he asked. "I sensed a disturbance in the balance of the world and came down to investigate. I feel that you might be able to help me in my quest to restore the balance of the world." Jax nodded emphatically, "Of course. But I'd likely only slow you down." "Do not worry. I would likely only travel at the speeds you surface-dwellers can manage anyway." "No need to be insulting." "I do not mean to be."
Jax shrugged, "All right. But I've only just started out on my journey. Why would a legendary Pokemon take interest in me?" "You are one of a kind." Jax sweatdropped. He wasn't going to get a better answer than that from Rayquaza, and would likely only make the Pokemon mad if he tried. "All right then, let's go!"
Rolly, you get your first choice, but which do you prefer? Mewtwo or Arceus? Username: rolly Character: Kira First Choice: Mewtwo/Arceus(just in case someone else gets it before I do) Second Choice: Shaymin/Latios(same reason as first) RP Sample: [[Copy/Pasted sorry >.< If you want me to make a new one I can do that too, it's just gonna take a real long while since my posts are long and don't make sense sometimes xD]] She was panicking again. No, not just panicking as screaming her head off and babbling incoherent speech. She was screaming her head off, babbling incoherent speech, AND running like a chicken with her head cut off. Morbid, he knew, but that was the only way he could describe his trainer's actions at the moment. She'd been doing this for the past 3 minutes now, and she had only woken up from her unconscious state 5 minutes ago. He wondered if she would trip at any given moment or run into the damp, cold, moss covered, cave wall.
Currently, they were in a cave, where said cave was...they didn't know. They, or rather, his trainer had been thrown over board during a cruise in a storm, and now, they were yet again, in another region they had no knowledge about. Axel continued to watch unamused at his trainer's antics, Asero sitting beside him apparently quite amused. Pyrus along with Rio was trying feebly to calm her down. Being the older of the group, he was quite used to these antics by now, and thus really wasn't all that surprised.
A sigh was heard, just behind Axel. Apparently their host, or actually, their savior was growing tired of the panicking human. 'Is your trainer always this...' He trailed off not really knowing the word to use to describe the human's actions. 'Weird?' Axel supplied to the psychic he was speaking to telepathically. 'I suppose.' He replied. 'Are you not going to calm her?' He questioned. 'Nah' Axel replied. 'She'll calm down in a few more minutes.' He smirked slightly as he continued to watch the screaming girl. The psychic sighed again and continued to watch with them.
After a while, Axel finally grew tired of his trainer's screaming and went to calm her down. Finally calm Kira sat in the circle of her Pokemon and the Psychic who had saved them. She was staring at the psychic intensely, a bit apprehensive to even twitch in his presence. 'Don't mind her, she freaked out like this before with a Gardevoir. She's just probably freaking out because your a Pokemon she's never seen before. Either that or the vibes your giving off is scaring her.' Axel explained as he laid his head on his trainer's lap. He sat beside her, curling his long tails around her from behind. Pyrus was on their trainer's other side, keeping a close eye on the Psychic as well. Rio and Asero had been returned back into their Pokeballs.
"It's not my fault I freak out..." Kira mumbled, she understood very little Pokemon speech, though she did somehow have a small telepathic connection with her Pokemon. She'd guessed it was probably because of her empathetic nature. She had such a strong connection with her Pokemon, she was able to hear their thoughts, but she was till very new to it, and could only communicate with them on a close range basis. "W-who are you anyways?" Kira questioned, addressing the Psychic for the first time. For a while now, the Pokemon has been sending vibes of irritation and dislike towards her which caused her to be quite cautious around him.
'I am Mewtwo. A creation of man, cloned from Mew, and known as most powerful Pokemon in the world.' He replied. His deep, godly like voice echoed through the large cave that they resided in. It also made Kira flinch slightly. "Most powerful? That can be debatable...can't it?" She questioned, just out of curiosity. 'Perhaps.' Was his only reply.
3 weeks, perhaps a month had passed since then. They'd taken refuge in Mewtwo's cave, waiting for the injuries that their trainer had sustained during the storm to heal. Now they stood at the entrance of the cave just a about to leave when Kira looked back and slightly frowned. "Won't you come with us?" Kira questioned for the umpteenth time, during their stay, she'd been trying to convince the Psychic to join them, having felt, apparently his lonely nature. As always, and what he would forever reply to that question was 'No.' Sadly, well only on Kira's part, they departed, leaving the Psychic. It wasn't until 2 months later that they met him again, only this time he was the one that needed rescuing.
He had been hunted down by a Team, similar to that of Team Galactic, to be captured, used and abused to become some world dominating weapon. Luckily, though they did have to battle, Kira and her team were able to save Mewtwo and runaway, going into hiding until things cooled down. Currently now, they were yet in another cave, hiding from the enemy that was still up and about searching for them. When things had cooled down and Mewtwo was healed, Kira asked once more. "Won't you come join us?" When Mewtwo replied like he always did, Kira made a selfish argument, that all her Pokemon seemed to agree to. "We saved your life, you owe us!" She declared. "Also, you can't keep running away forever! You keep hiding all the time. They're going to catch you again and perhaps next time no one will be there to save you or help you, you might not even be able to fight them on you own!" She added. They had all grown quite fond of the Psychic Pokemon and it just didn't settle with them that he should be alone, only to be captured again.
This time, Mewtwo was actually considering it. Perhaps being bound to someone was easier, but that meant that he would be putting them in danger. "So?" Kira had said defiantly at his point. "As friends we're supposed to take those risks! You don't have to be bound to me, I just don't want seeing you fighting alone again. Aren't you lonely?" Despite their arguments, he still refused, so Kira and her team devised a plan. If Mewtwo wasn't going to go with them, they were going to go with him. They followed him everywhere, whether he flew at top speed or teleported to some unknown area, they would find him. It didn't surprise them that when he finally cracked he had scolded them and even tried scaring them off once or twice with his attacks. "We're not leaving." Kira said firmly standing her ground along with her team.
Finally having enough with their persistence, Mewtwo simply agreed to travel with them, though he had many opportunities to simply runaway and leave them, somehow something always kept pulling him back. He guessed that he must of picked up the worrisome nature of Axel and Pyrus for their trainer, that he felt compelled to actually protect, or rather, just help her. That girl seemed to get in the most unusual and life-threatening situations in the world. With her the way she was, how could he possibly leave them now?
Username: Angel Character: Rima Windsong First Choice: Entei Second Choice: Celebi RP Sample: Entei roleplay is done (underneath) A strong and powerful beast was rushing through the land. Across sweet fields, through large and dark forests, over rough and rocky mountains, skimming shimmering water - passing every manner of natural element, travelling to accomplish his goal. He passed through all of the mighty land monuments in a speedy blur, searching for the one who would fulfill the mission he was to carry out. The one that could combine their power with his and join him to achieve such good in the world. The one creature that he would serve under and vow to protect. That one creature. That one mysterious, truthful, loyal, courageous creature that would help him carry out his mission. That mission though....was unknown even to the wisest and most knowledgeable of all creatures that walked the glorious lands of Pokemon...
Meanwhile, whilst the mighty Pokemon searched the lush lands, a delicate, young girl walked amoungst the Enera region, alongisde her daemon and Pokemon, just as everyday had been so far...
"That's it!" Exclaimed the voice of a young girl, enthusiasm easily spotted within the quick notation. Rima ran forward happily, giggling as she kept going - her long blonde hair flowed behind her gracefully and her white dress drifted after her. Rima kept running when all of a sudden something heavy fell from the sky and landed directly onto her head. Rima stood still as her body shaked from the impact and she dizzily stepped from one side to the other before collapsing backwards adn sliding down the strong and smooth trunk of a nearby oak tree. "Miss Rima!" Worridly shouted a small Pokemon, scurrying after the clumsy girl. His feet pattered toward her with tiny, speedy steps as his arms flailed to his side and he lightly tapped them on the girl's lap. Looking up at her, his eyes wide and full of worry he muttered, "M-Miss Rima are you alright?"
Rima chuckled and ruffed the Pichu's head, smiling kindly as she did so. Pichu blushed and hung his head low from the embarrassment - however the cute scene was rudly interrupted when a stern cough and teasing voice called from behind them, "I wouldn't worry about her Pichu - Rima's always doing clumsy things like that. She attracts falling objects." Rima and Pichu looked behind them surprsingly to see Ven walking calmly toward them as he chuckled silently to himself. Pichu pulled a confused face but Rima just took him into her arms and held him like a baby before smiling at Ven and ignoring his comment about the falling apple. After all - he was her daemon and he had teased her long before Pichu became their companion. Rima rested her head against the bark of the tree, closing her eyes as the gentle breeze blew. Ven joined Pichu and Rima in the shade and laid next to his human. Having a quick rest in the cool shade of the giant tree.
Rima then startled and sat up quickly as an idea came to her scatter brained mind - she shocked poor little Pichu in the process who just stared into space wide eyed and fixated on a certain spot which didn't really have much meaning. Ven looked up at Rima, his front paws folded over one another, "What now Rima?" Rima stared wide eyed and expressionless into a random spot before her lip twitched and a small yet cheeky smile spread across her face and she stood up facing a certain direction. "Water." She whispered. "I smell water." Ven stood up slowly adn stood beside his human before raising one side of his mouth and grinning sneakily. When there was water, that usually meant that Rima and Ven would race there to dive in. So as the human adn Vaporeon happily glared at one another they shot forward - running at full speed toward the water that they could sense. They zoomed past many trees and bushes, passing all manner of Pokemon - laughing with excitement as they did so. Whilst they ran they got nearer to the lake that was waiting ahead of them and Pichu just flopped about in his companion's arms as she willfully ran toward water.
As the joyous pair ran through the forest they were in, toward a glistening and beautiful lake surrounding by forests and mountains - a large and powerful figure was sprinting nearby. He was running over the mountains before his body tingled with a sensation. He came to a rapid halt and slowly turned his head in the direction of what he sensed. Something...Something important was coming from the direction of the forest below and heading speedily toward the lake bank. Turning his entire body around he jolted himself into that direction; hoping to meet this mysterious and important creature that could trigger such a sharp sense from the mighty Pokemon. Dashing down the steep mountain without problem, he jumped onto the bank - standing in a proud and glamorous position. Ready to encounter the important creature he had been searching for... As nearby trees rustled he stood his ground and watched carefully as the one he was destined to protect emerged from the dense forest.
Ven managed to get ahead of his human as he bounded through the last bushes and straight into the shining sunlight of the lake bank. Rima knew she ahd lost but not watchign where she was going caught her foot on a unconviently placed pebble. Her foot was caught and as she fell forward, Pichu flew out of her arms and headed toward the Vaporeon that was waiting on the other side of the borderline of the forest. Rima hit the ground hard adn tumbled through the last of the vegetation before rubbing her head in pain and swatting off any unwanted leaves, twigs adn thorns. She smiled with her eyes closed as she removed the reminance of any plant life on her body, "Okay okay - you win this time round Ven." When there was no reply, Rima pulled a confused face and slowly opened her eyes inquiring, "Ven what's-" But Rima didn't finish her sentence as the silhouette of a great Pokemon stood before her.
The Pokemon was large and mighty - standing proud before Rima. Rima saw that Pichu and Ven were frozen solid as they gaxed upon the almighty creature. Rima too was shocked. The Pokemon was covered in a mass of dangling, soft brown fur and had a silver, shackle around each pawed leg that stood heavily on the ground. There were sharp scale like things that were embedded on its back and a large cloud that ran down the Pokemon's spine like a horse's mane. On its head was a mask of coloured and yet solid fur, the sides red and the top resembelling a golden trident shape that protected ist brow. Its eyes were red and mysterious and felt as if they dug deep into your soul. Rima, Ven and Pichu were all gobsmacked and Rima stood herself up - schoked at seeing such a sight. She clecnhed one fist and held it close to her chest as her eyes widened at the creature stood before her. the fragile looking girl gulped silently before taking a few steps closer to the mighty creature and uttering the word, "Entei...."
Entei watched as a Vaporeon bounded happily through the bushes and landed by his gigantic white paws - confused Entei looked down at the Pokemon and stared deep into ist eyes. The wtaer type's eyes widened and the smile quickly disappeared from its face before he took warning steps backwards and hunched its shackles, baring its teeth at the legendary that stood before it. Soon after that a Pichu fell from the trees and waved its limsb around as it headed fro colliosn with the ground - but eth Vaporeon managed to jump and catch the tiny baby on its back before it became a pancake. The Pichu trembled as it saw the Entei and hid behind the frozen Vaporeon - both of them gazing at the Pokemon with intense and frightened eyes. Eneti was confused. These two couldn't certainly be the ones that he was to vow to serve and protect - they were meak and feeble little Pokemon, why would they need the assisstance of a legendary Pokemon when they seemed ot be coping fine on their own? Eneti scowled at them before something else emerged from the bushes. What would it be now? A Pidgey? A Magby? What manner of weak Pokemon would he see now.
But the thing they came out of the forest, didn't fall or jump or elegantly glide - it tumbled and rolled sending dust and plant life everyhwere in a large coughing cloud. Eneti carefully wtached teh dust cloud clear - he could feel the thing, the creature he had sworn to protect within that cloud. And thougnh not the most glamorous of entrances - the creature was within the dust. So as the dust cleared Entei waited - and soon saw a fragile, pretty young girl sitting there, with a stupid grin beaming on her youthful face. Eneti stared. The girl seemed almost like a doll - plus she was huamn! The one he was to protect adn serve was a human girl?! A trainer?! Well...that had to be ridiculous. And yet no matter how ridiculous the idea seemed - Entei couldn't help but feel that something great woudl come from this girl. And as she silently muttered his name, Entei gently placed one of his mighty paws forward and leant his body down. Indicating his respect to the girl in the form of bowing. He then slightly raised his head and said to the pretty young girl, "Correct Miss. I am Entei the great fire beast of the Pokemon world - my mission is to serve under you." And thus the journey between Rima and Entei had begun.
Username: Wolf Character: Damien Wolf 1st Choice: Ho-oh 2nd Choice: Azelf RP Sample: A young man, his daemon, and a Bagon stood at the base of a mountain. "Are you sure that you want to do this Damien? After all, once you start climbing, there is no going back until you reach the top." asked the Gabite looking daemon. "Yes Jet. I gotta do this. Ever since arriving in this region, there has been this nagging feeling inside of me. And now, as I stand here at the foot of this mountain, I know that I have to scale this mountain." said the young man known as Damien. Jet merely nodded his head and gave the 'after you' motion. Damien then lead the trio up the mountain's path.
Nearly three hours later, and a lot of climbing over rubble, the trio was not even a fifth of the way up the mountain, or so they thought. What was worse was that the sun was beginning to set. Damien had long since returned the Bagon to his Pokeball in an effort to speed things up a bit. Thankfully there was a small cave where they were. Looking over to Jet, Damien said, "Let's stay here for the night. It wouldn't be smart to travel up the mountain during night time." The daemon nodded and said, "Wow I'm impressed. Your actually thinking ahead for once." Damien grinned towards his daemon and said, "I have my moments." The two then set up camp and went to sleep.
The next morning, Damien and Jet had risen at sunrise and were already continuing their trek up the mountain. So far the trek had been somewhat uneventful. Damien knew that he was getting close to the top. The oxygen in the air was getting thinner and the clouds were below him now. Soon, very soon, Damien and Jet would be at the peek of the mountain. However, neither of them knew what awaited them at the top.
A few more hours later, Damien and Jet had finally reached the peek. There was nothing there. Damien began to look around everywhere- for something that might have been the reason as to why he was brought to this mountain. Jet sighed and began to say, "Damien... There's nothing here. Let's head back dow-" "NO! There has to be something here. There has to be. We just need more time and some extra pairs of eyes." interrupted the frustrated trainer. Seeing the look of hurt on Jet's face, Damien said, "Look, I'm sorry I yelled. I'm- I'm just really frustrated. I mean we trekked up here only to find nothing. But your right. We should begin the trek back dow-"
All of a sudden, a loud roar came from above Damien. On reflex, Damien grabbed Drago's, his Bagon, Pokeball and let him out. However as soon as he saw what that roar came from, Damien knew that Drago could not win against the giant bird in the sky. This bird was the ultimate Flying-type, Ho-oh. Damien almost felt like he should kneel in front of it. However something inside of him told him not to. All of a sudden, Damien heard something. A voice in his mind that was not his own.
What are you doing here, boy? Have you come to try and capture me, like so many others have tried? Or are you one of those that tries to appease me in every way? Well if you are one of those, sacrifice your Bagon to me and I'll let you live.
As Damien heard this, he realized that this was Ho-oh speaking to him. As Damien looked around, he noticed that Jet and Drago had also heard Ho-oh due to the horrified looks on their faces. If Damien wanted to live, he would have to sacrifice his first Pokemon, Drago, to this giant bird Pokemon. Damien would not stand for that. Immediately, Damien rushed in front of Drago, with his arms spread, and said, "I would never do such a thing. I would never abandon my Pokemon. I refuse to do what it is you ask."
Ho-oh, in response to Damien's answer, went to crush Damien its foot and extremely sharp talons. Seeing the attack coming towards him and Drago, Damien turned towards Drago and held the Bagon close to him, in a desperate attempt to absorb the damage and keep his Pokemon safe. Jet, who had been just staring in awe at what was happening, ran towards Damien. The daemon, however, knew that he would not make it in time. Then there was a crash.
Damien heard the crash, yet had felt nothing. Picking his head up slowly, Damien looked around. Ho-oh's talons had not hurt him, but were embedded into the ground around him. Then Ho-oh pulled its foot out of the ground. Turning towards the Legendary Pokemon, Damien saw that Ho-oh had a look of approval on its face.
Congratulations Damien Wolf. You have passed my test. The reason is that you did not shirk your duty as a Pokemon Trainer and abandon your Bagon. You are free to train here under my watch.
Damien gave a sigh of relief, thankful that he and Drago were alive. Looking up to the giant bird Pokemon, Damien said the two words that would change his life forever, "I accept."
Username: Halofire Character: Jayden Stryker First Choice: Raikou Second Choice: Latios RP Sample: A bolt of lightning rent the sky as if to break it in two, with a giant crack that shook the ground almost as violently as an earthquake might. Rain pelted from the blackened sky, driving into the ground as if trying to overcome the barrier that prevented it from falling into eternity. Powerful winds swept across a wild and untamed grassland, whose blades were bent double from the force, while Pokemon scurried to their shelters to wait out the storm. Or most Pokemon, that is.
With great, shuddering pants, a giant yellow cat padded across the earth, heedless of the tempest conditions around him. He walked with a tired gait, occasionally stumbling. His head was lowered, and it was obvious that any moment he could collapse. A purple cloud trailed from his neck down his back, and buffeted though it was by the wind and rain, it didn’t dissipate into fine mist like any other cloud would have at this point. The cat stopped, panting harder than ever, and wearing an expression that displayed it was clearly in pain. Something was wrong.
Suddenly, the great, angular head lifted, and his ears perked straight up. A howl had come across the moor, from behind him. The cat turned around, unwilling to run any longer. The source of the howl became apparent; two Houndooms raced full-speed at the cat, headed by a battle-scarred and vicious-looking Mightyena. In an instant, the cat was surrounded; the Houndooms flanked either side of him, with the Mightyena standing in front, a horrible grin etched on his features. The great cat hissed, lowering into a crouch. A moment later, it was in the air above the Mightyena, its giant claws outstretched. But it hadn’t counted on the Houndoom.
The cat felt pain as something large and muscular rammed into his stomach, and he was thrown farther into the air, away from his target. An instant later, it felt like many sharp needles dug into the cat’s neck; he just barely managed to land on his paws, but with a horrible wrench, the Houndoom threw the cat onto the ground. In an instant, the other grabbed onto his shoulder fur. The cat screamed, and there was a great flash of light as a bolt of lightning streaked down through the sky towards the cat.
The two Houndoom jumped back to their leader’s side as the lightning hit the beast, then disappeared just as quickly as it had come, leaving nothing behind.
Jayden walked along the grounds of the Suitay Academy as the rain fell around him, splashing and making puddles. His daemon, Tameya, was amusing herself by becoming a Surskit and gliding on the water, as if ice skating. The rest of the occupants of the Academy were relaxing in their dorms, sound asleep in this dead of night. Tameya loved the rain, and she had managed to convince Jayden to come out on the grounds for a while in the rain. There were a few sparks in the sky, but not many, and the rain itself was fairly mild.
”Come on, Tam… let’s go back, it’s getting late. And how would it look if I walked in the school dripping wet in the middle of the night?” Jayden said to his Daemon who, at the time, had stuck a spindly blue leg into the water and was stirring up some of the mud at the bottom. ”Oh, please… how would we look? There’s nobody up to see! But it is getting late,” she conceded. She skimmed over to Jayden before coming up on the grass, then turned into a Skitty, which he picked up and put on his shoulder. She curled her tail around his neck affectionately. With an almighty crack, a bolt of lightning hurled out of the air like an arrow. It crashed into the ground, causing the earth to shudder and Jayden to fall backwards, with only enough time to grab Tameya off his shoulder and hold her against his chest so she wouldn’t be harmed by the impact. Jayden’s ears rang; it was horribly loud, and he had sensitive hearing. The red markings on his body glowed, illuminating some of the shadows in front of him. And as soon as he lifted his head, as soon as he saw he was completely breathless. A giant yellow cat, streaked with black stripes and blanketed with a purple cloud, lay gasping for air in front of Jayden. And –after a moment Jayden realized this was not only a trick of the red light- its neck was bleeding, thick, deep red blood. Jayden hesitated a moment before going to investigate. He didn’t care what it was; it was people who couldn’t be trusted, not Pokemon. He placed a hand on the open wound on the cat’s neck. And in an instant, the beast’s eyes flew open, and wild red eyes darted around blindly, wildly, before settling on Jayden. With a roar, the beast twisted its head painfully in an attempt to drive giant, viciously sharp fangs into Jayden’s arm. Those jaws closed with enough strength to snap a small tree in two on thin air; Jayden had barely managed to pull his arm away in time. Tameya was trembling against his chest, supported by one arm. Then it hissed, hissed in the language of Pokemon, words Jayden could understand being a Zangoose Pokemorph. ~VILE BEASTS OF THE EARTH! TAINTERS OF THE WILD, DESTROYERS OF THE GREAT, INGLORIOUS CONQUERERS!~ The cat screamed in a wild voice, one with a deep rumble reminiscent of thunder. ”You’re wrong! I’m only here to help you!” Jayden yelled back, perplexed. Whatever this was, it had been through a rough time with people. Not unlike me… thought Jayden apprehensively, barely seeing the connection between this terrified beast and himself. ~YOU LIE! ALL HUMANS LIE! THEY WEAVE LIES AS WELL AS AN ARIADOS WEAVES A WEB, AND THEY NEVER SPEAK THE TRUTH! Tameya was now trembling more violently than ever, but with anger, not fear. ”Don’t you dare ever call Jayden a liar! Don’t you dare accuse him of doing things he had no part in whatsoever! He’s one of the greatest people I know, he was willing to help you as you lay there, wounded! He’s never given in to fear, but clearly you can’t say as much for yourself, insulting and attacking him because of it!” She yelled at the cat. She didn’t care anymore what it was, it had just insulted Jayden. Her Jayden. And it had done so as a Pokemon, one of the things Jayden put most of his trust in. The cat, meanwhile, listened to Tameya’s argument. It’s eyes had lost their fearful glare, its pants had become less and less, and it looked more or less surprised to see the tiny pink kitten, clutched protectively against Jayden’s chest, telling him off. With a grunt, he fell silent and lay his head back down, looking away from Jayden into the trees. Jayden took this as a sign he could now go check the cat’s wounds. Luckily, it wasn’t deep, and the bleeding had nearly stopped. ”Looks to me like you’ll be fine. What’s your name, what do you call yourself?” Jayden asked. ~My name is… Raikou. It is a name I have had since the birth of thunder and lightning and it is a name I will bear to the grave and beyond, if I must.~ The voice was much lower now, much quieter. It almost seemed as if it would be impossible to manage, but then again, only a minute before it had been screaming. ”My name is Jayden. It looks like you’ll be fine… I would say it would be smart to not move around while you heal, but there are too many people around here all the time. People who can’t be trusted. And I know that trusting people can be disastrous, but I’m not going to hurt you. Besides, I’m not even a human; half of me is Pokemon!” Jayden said in an almost uncharacteristically understanding way. He turned around and walked away. ~Thank you, Jayden. I have been hunted, pursued by people all my life. Mostly trainers who have harbored the delusion that they could capture me, could tame me. But most recently has been the threat of an organization who, I fear, may be after my sister and brother. They set their Pokemon upon me and the only thing I did was run, run until I couldn’t run. And then I was conquered. I wish to be stronger. You and your daemon have a strength about you that I cannot hope to match. I would be honored to go with you and train, and learn your ways. If you would have me, that is.~ Jayden froze. Have this amazing creature under his command? No doubt Raikou would have to be hidden from the other students at the school. Humans turned nasty when they wanted something, or were jealous. No, he would have train this Pokemon away from others, perhaps mainly in the forest. The Raikou had spoken with such conviction Jayden knew it was an offer that would crush the great cat if Jayden turned him away. ”Stronger? I don’t know about that. But I won’t turn you away. Jayden said calmly. ”Welcome to the family,” Tameya added, grinning.
Jaxamar, I was gonna give you your second choice, Mew, but I just realised someone already asked for Mew, and they're good enough to get it. Do you mind if you choose a different second choice, Jax?
