It was much to everyone's surprise as to what the Giratina did next. The legendary ducked his head, tapping it to one of Khera's empty Pokéballs. Well, in his opinion, this was the best way for him to watch over Khera's team. After all, a daemonless boy was bound to attract attention, and Giratina didn't like attention too much, just as attention didn't like him. And so, he put up no struggle as the Pokéball captured him for Khera.
Electrike was so shocked to see this, he didn't notice the battle begin. Nor did he notice the Will-o-Wisp flicker too slowly towards him until he felt the blue flames scorch his furry hide. With a yelp, the dog twisted round to face Ralts, snarling. He was ready now... sort of. He knew he would have been on full alert had he not had a stabbing burning sensation in his right side. A burn, right? Yeah, that was what Will-o-Wisp did. The burn was not good, it hurt.
Electrike's mind went through a number of options he had now. He could attack, flee, use a stat-changing move, or do nothing. He would attack! Yeah! Psched up and ready to fight, the Electric type charged at Ralts. This was without a doubt a Tackle attack; a simple, basic move. Not too strong, but fairly nice accurate.
Giratina joined Khera!

Khera watched, surprised, as Giratina disappeared into one of the capsules around his waist. He knew they'd been put there for some reason, but at the time he hadn't been able to fathom why. Would Giratina be alright in there? Wouldn't it suffocate, or be crushed to death? Ah, it didn't matter. It would probably be okay. If it wasn't it was its own fault, either way. Oh, papa, that's so cruel. No it isn't. Besides, the professor gave me those. He wouldn't give them to me if they were dangerous. Yes he would. In the other lab, you have memory of a person who offered to give you knifes out of your hands. That looked cool, actually. You should have- Don't be silly. I would not have been able to itch anywhere at all.
Ralts, busily chatting away, appeared to be assuming that the battle would just stop while she was distracted. Not likely. The Tackle hit her head-on, so to speak, and she went skidding backwards to rest at Khera's feet. Ow. That hurt, papa, that hurt. I know. What should I do now? Um, um... Try the offensive mind waves that you were talking about. That sounds like a good idea. O... okay.
Placing her hands on her temples, Ralts concentrated hard. A rippling wave of purplish energy burst out from her, although it seemed to be losing velocity fast as it travelled. This was her Confusion attack. It definitely needed a little work, to say the least.

Electrike could see that this attack clearly had a short range. That was good, he could take advantage of that. He felt a little pain from the burn, but did his best to ignore it so that he could concentrate better. If he were able to get away from the Ralts, he would be safe. Unfortunately, in order to use a Tackle attack, you needed to get very close to the opponent. As a result, when Electrike attempted to get away, the Confusion caught him anyway. He winced as the waves gave him an odd, headache feeling which faded completely once the attack ended.
That hadn't been a very pleasant experience. Electrike felt a tad weaker afterward, too. That wasn't good, was it? No, he was certain it was a bad thing. Really bad. The canine Pokémon wanted to hurt Ralts now, hurt her a lot. Well, he shouldn't do that, either. He should fight how you were supposed to fight, with strategy and junk like that. What if... yes, of course! A thin wave of electricity was sent from Electrike to Ralts. This was a Thunder Wave, intended to paralyze the opponent so that they might be able to move less. Electrike moved out of range as well, just in case.

Ralts watched as the jolt of electricity coursed towards her, confused and slightly perturbed. It didn't look like it had enough amps to be dangerous, although it might sting a bit. Why was the Electrike doing this? Worried, she shuffled out of the way. It didn't work; the electricity seemed drawn to her, and she winced as it struck her foot, pulsing through her body. It didn't hurt too much, but it was uncomfortable, and her muscles didn't feel as if they were moving the way she wanted them to. Attempting to raise her arm, she found it pinned to her side. That was definitely not good.
I should have moved. This is bad, papa. It's not your fault. It's because of your ability. Khera replied, pulling information with ease from his memory. 'Trace' copies the foe's ability. You copied the 'Lightningrod' ability from electrike, and now there is a weak ionic charge over your body. Any electrical attacks will be drawn to you. Oh, I see. That's not very good, is it? Not in this battle, but it's no major problem. I doubt Electrike is a high enough level to utilise any offensive electric moves. Normally your other ability, called 'Synchronise', would have kicked in by now. Ooh, synchronise? What's that? All these special powers I didn't know I had, dada! This is so wonderful! Synchronise passes on a status to the opponent. In a usual scenario, Electrike would have become paralyzed too, but it's already burned so another status affliction can't be applied. Wow, confusing. Just don't worry about it for now. Use that attack again, the mind wave one, please. For future reference I believe it's called 'Confusion'. Confusion. Got it, papa.
All this took place in a relatively small amount of time; perhaps a few seconds, perhaps less; so there was not much of a lag before Ralts raised her other arm and pushed forwards with another pulse of energy. This one had slightly more 'oomph' to it, but wavered just the same. Still, it was all the little pokémon could do right now.

ooc// Sorry, it's definately unclear in the rules somewhere, but we only have two abilities here. In fact, I already told you that when I gave you Ralts' stats! I gave you one ability, and that was Synchronize.
ic// Electrike was suprised to see Ralts attacking despite being Paralyzed. He felt a vauge sense of paralyzis coming on, but fought against it. It wasn't a strong sense, but he could tell that this was Ralts' ability at work there. If he moved closer to her, he'd be effected more. She had seemed pretty rigid just seconds earlier, yet now she was easily moving? She hadn't been healed or anything, had she? No, he didn't seem to recall Khera using one of those spray-things on her. Weird. She shouldn't be able to move right now.
Electrike was glad he'd moved out of range. Unfortunately, he'd judged the range on Ralts' last attack, and this one was a little stronger. As a result, he felt a little pain from the outskirts of the move. Still, it was nothing compared to what he'd have felt if he hadn't moved away. Now it was his turn. Should he attack? The only offensive move he knew was Tackle, and that involved going right up to Ralts. This didn't seem like such a good idea, since going right up to her would cause the Synchronize ability to have an effect. He'd be rooted to the spot right next to the Psychic type, leaving him open to all kinds of attacks. Not good. So, thinking sensibly, he remained where he was.

(( Psych! Tehee. x3
Aha, sorry, that was probably uncalled for. Just seeing if you'd pick up on it. Actually, to be honest I wasn't entirely sure on that point of the rules myself, so I figured the best way to be sure was to put it into practise. Anyway. Since when does paralysis completely cut movement? I said that one of Ralt's arms was paralyzed, didn't I? iunno, the first bit of your post doesn't make too much sence. Mebbe you should read mine a bit closer ;3 Anyway. I can't really complain since I has not been so active on hear. ))
Ralts tutted in annoyance as she found her other arm was now also frozen in place. Attempting to move forwards, her body went rigid, and she almost toppled over, blinking owlishly. Not moving was not good... although the foe didn't seem to be moving either. Well, that was strange. Hmm. His loss, in any case; he would be hurt over time by his burn, and if he just stayed at arm's length the burn would eventually finish him off. That worked for her.
Wondering what to do next, a painful pause dragged by. Khera, his face as blank as ever, gently probed her mind. Is everything okay, little one? I don't know, papa. I can't move so well. It'll wear off in a little bit. In the meantime, what can you do? Uh. You mean, anything? Well, I can move my mouth like this. And I can kind of speak. An expression of deep concentration crossed the pink pokémon's face, and after about half a second it went 'ba'. Seemingly pleased by the noise, it repeated it happily. 'Ba, ba. Ba.' Does this mean you can still use your Growl attack? Oh! Yes, papa. I hadn't thought of that. The 'ba' noise Ralts had been emitting turned to a more grumbly-growly one, as she let out a bubbling snarl. It wasn't in the least intimidating - in fact, it was rather cute - but that was the point of the move. By appearing cute and charming, the user would lower the opponent's attack. Hopefully. Khera did a quick sum in his head. That would lower Electrike's attack again, meaning all his moves would only do half damage, unless he boosted his attack back up. The longer they could drag the battle out, the better a chance Ralts would have of winning, due to the Electrike's burn.

ooc// Yeah, well if you don't know about something or whether you can do something, look it up or ask me. Also, half damage is a bit too extreme, so we tend to go for 'a bit less' damage where Growl/anything like it is concerned.
ic// Electrike now seemed a little happier because the paralyzis had spread over Ralts' whole body. It knew how that worked. Ralts would be unable to move, and if she could move she'd be rather slow. And now she was using a Growl. Huh, his Attack stat was lowered. So? He could still fight, couldn't he? What a waste of a move. The Growl had lowered his attack, but he knew he couldn't even that out again; Leer would have done the trick, but he didn't know that yet.
Wincing slightly from his burn, he knew that he had to attack some time. He couldn't continue this whole battle just standing there. But he could be paralyzed... a battle with two paralyzed Pokémon wouldn't be quite so much fun. But he had to try. He ran towards Ralts in a quick Tackle attack, feeling himself slow a little as he went on and Ralt's ability came into effect. It looked like he was going to manage a hit, though. What happened after that would just have to be observed then.

(( No, silly, there's been a double reduction in the attack stat. One drop from the burn, one drop from the Growl. Game mechanics say that's equivalent to an 0.5 multiplier to attack. So yeah, half damage. ;3
Don't worry, I'm not thinking that a single growl can halve the attack stat. psst, Electrike can't be paralyzed since he's already burned. Just unsure if you were clear on that ^-^ ))
The electricity rotated round Ralt's body. She managed to get a leg free and start to move it before Electrike's Tackle attack hit head-on. Ahwowowow. It didn't hurt as much as the previous time, though; less 'oomph' had been put into it, but Ralts still toppled backwards, rigid from the hips down. Ralts, fight back. Try another Confusion. Oww... okay, papa. Ralts found to her delight that one of her arms was free again. Getting up, she waved her arm before pushing forwards. The air between her and Electrike rippled, and Ralts smiled under her hood. Electrike was pretty close, so it wouldn't be too hard to hit.

Electrike yowled as the Confusion hit. Stupid Ralts, the Paralyzis didn't seem to have had much of an effect on her ability to attack. After all, although last turn she hadn't been able to use Confusion, she'd still used a Growl, right? The dog felt even more health slip away as the burn leaked a bit of it out. He wanted to hurt the Ralts so hard she fainted! As much as she had been saying 'ow', she hadn't shown any signs of weakening. As for Electrike, he was feeling quite low. He reckoned he would be able to take perhaps one, maybe two if he was lucky, more attacks. He... he supposed the smart thing to do right now would be to simply leave the battle. After all, it wasn't as if the fight was fair, was it? He had a weakened attack and was burned. Ralts was paralyzed, but it hadn't done much. Other than that, she was acting like she was fine. However, Electrike wasn't the sort of Pokémon who would give up. He charged at Ralts in the hardest Tackle yet, his hatred and anger at Khera and Ralts pumping adrenalin around his body.

Ralts was hit hard by the Tackle. She went flying, and hit the ground with a dull thud that sent twinges down Khera's spine. He waited for her to get up, but there was no movement. Khe... I can't move, papa. I can't move. Ow. Ralts was a Pokémon with naturally high HP, but she'd been taking a beating, and the Paralysis had stopped her movement again. Khera watched as she twitched fitfully. Apparently he'd numbed the feeling of physical injury for her; she seemed in a worse state than she had let on. Are you okay? Um... I don't know. I can't move... and I feel hurty... Can you do anything? Nyeh... don't... don't think so...
Khera's eyes fixed onto the Electrike, and he gave a rumbling growl. He should be protecting the Ralts, and yet this Electrike was attempting to hurt her. This conflicted directly with his purpose. The Electrike needed to be removed from the equation. No, dada... I can do this on... my own. I will not stand by and watch you get hurt like this. Another growl ripped from his throat. But that's what trainers do. Didn't you know that? What, allow their partners to be beaten until they lose consciousness? Ridiculous. Either way, Ralts seemed in no fit state to do anything right now. Hopefully the complete paralysis would wear off soon and she would regain movement; but until then, she was practically a sitting duck.

Electrike's face first bore a smile as Ralts was kicked into full paralysis. However, the smile soon faded and guilt wore into his mind. Oh... he could see what he'd done to poor Ralts. The poor girl was just paralysed, unable to do anything, clearly in pain. No one should be made to just sit and feel pain like that, not even if it was an annoying Ralts. Part of him was nagging himself to use a quick Tackle and end it, she was clearly a beginner and needed to learn. But it just didn't felt right.
He winced from his burn, feeling close to fainting himself now, but nothing like Ralts' condition. He promised himself that when Ralts regained enough movement to attack, he would fight again, but it just didn't seem like the morally correct thing to do. Attacking while the opponent could do nothing... well, that was just cowardly, wasn't it? Electrike did nothing, waiting for Ralts to do something. However long that took, he'd wait. Maybe Khera would use a human's magic anti-paralyse-majig.
