Character
Name: Abigail "Abby" Mist
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Pokemorph: None
Appearance: The first thing that you would notice about Abby is her hair. It's a pretty silvery colour, and she wears it in twin braids all down her back. Her eyes are blue and seem to be very watchful. She wears a pretty blue T-shirt, a blue jacket when it gets cold, blue jeans, white sneakers, and a green two piece for swimming. When she enters a contest, she wears a beautiful blue gown, she ties her hair in a single ponytail, and she wears blue slippers.
Personality: Abby's last name really suits her; she's like a mist you just can't penetrate. She always seems to know more than most people, but everyone thinks she's stupid. Mostly because of that one little problem she has.
She doesn't talk.
She hasn't said a word since she was six years old, and she doesn't plan to. She's perfectly content with her daemon being her voice. She always carries a sketchpad and pencils with her so that she can sketch Pokemon that she sees. She can see the natural beauty in all Pokemon, and her sketches really show it. From what her daemon translates, she's very cryptic.
She is only seen when she wants to be seen. She's very good at hiding and remaining completely unnoticed. She hates wearing anything pink; it brings up bad memories for her. She knows perfectly well what people think of her, but she chooses to ignore it.
History: Abby wasn't a very happy child while growing up. Her mother didn't pay any attention to what she wanted. All her mother cared about was making her child just like her. She dressed her up in uncomfortable pink clothes that were so tight she could barely breathe. Her mom never listened, so she started to feel like her voice didn't matter anymore.
That's when she stopped talking.
The doctors at first thought that she was autistic, but she eventually went to one that figured her out. It was 'elective mutism'; she simply chose not to speak. Her mother didn't like that. It was an imperfection, and it frightened her. She left Abby with her sister, Abby's aunt, and never came back.
Abby came to see her aunt as her new mother. Her aunt loved her very much, and always tried to treat her like a normal girl. She tried talking to little Abby, knowing that only the daemon would answer her. Despite her happiness, Abby still had no will to speak; she felt that this was easier on her.
Her aunt lived on a Pokemon ranch and raised all kinds of Pokemon. Abby spent more time around Pokemon than humans! She always seemed to have a special connection with them, and they all loved her very much.
One day, she was going through the basement and found some old ribbons that belonged to her aunt.
"Abby, where are you, dear?" her aunt called. Abby came out of the basement, brushing dust off her clothes. "There you are. What were you doing down there?" As usual, Abby didn't answer. With a mysterious smile, she simply indicated the small blue ribbon in her hand.
"Oh, you found those, did you? Well, I guess it's about time I told you an old story. You see, when I was your age, I was an excellent Pokemon Coordinator. My Pokemon and I pulled off some of the most amazing and beautiful routines anyone had ever seen! After I won my Ribbon Cup, I decided to retire undefeated. I loved being a Coordinator, but I love doing this as well. You should be sure to do what you love as well, Abby."
With that, Abby made up her mind. She wanted to be a great Pokemon Coordinator, just like her aunt! She was supportive of the decision, but made sure to tell her something very important before she left.
"Remember, winning isn't everything. I may have been undefeated, but that doesn't mean that you have to be as well. Defeats can teach you as much as victories. Just go at your own pace, and you'll do great."
Career: Pokemon Coordinator
The Daemon
Name: Arthur
Form (If settled): Hoothoot
Favourite Form/s (If not settled):
Appearance: Arthur is like a normal Hoothoot except that his eyebrows are larger than most.
Personality: It's hard to describe Arthur. Sometimes he can be strict and proper. Sometimes he can be a total punk with foul language. Sometimes he can be like a doting mother. And sometimes he's just plain nuts. But all of the personalities have one thing in common; a love for Abby and a hatred of all who harm her.
