Tyra's face brightened with excitement as the lab came into view. It had been a long trip, but there was the goal, right in front of her. "Look Kavi, that looks like it!" she exclaimed to the Seviper daemon slithering on the ground next to her.
Lifting his head up to be able to see a little better, Kavi replied, "It certaintly does. We've finally made it." The trace of relief in Kavi's voice was clearly evident. It hadn't been easy for either one of them to travel across the various terrains and uneven ground, but it was obviously been a little worse for the slithering daemon than his bipedal companion. Tyra's unreasonable ideas of how much ground they could cover in a day didn't help.
Tyra bent down, extending an arm toward the snake. "C'mon, Kavi, you're too slow, I wanna get there as fast as I can!" Tyra exclaimed. Being able to see her destination had made the already excited Zangoose-morph even more impatient. She wanted to get her Pokemon and start training and fighting NOW.
With a sigh, Kavi slithered up her arm and settled around Tyra's neck like a loose scarf. As soon as her daemon was situated Tyra took off, running as fast as she could, barely stopping in time to keep from smashing into the door. She pounded on the door a few times and waited to be let in, shifting from foot to foot impatiently.
((BTW, is there a way to use hex codes to color text? I'd like to color code the dialogue, but I don't want to just use the preset color list, and I can't seem to figure out how to make it work. ^^; ))

ooc// It works with me by just going like [ color=code]blah[/ color] withought spaces. Just like the normal colours, just replacing the colour's name with a code.
ic// Pine answered the door almost immedietly. It sounded as though someone had ran to the door; he heard them almost smash into it. They'd also knocked very quickly; a clear sign that this person was impatient. Most people were when they came here. The Professor swung the door open. Telepa, the Noctowl daemon on his shoulder, raised an eyebrow at the sight of a Zangoose 'morph with a Seviper daemon. How ironic. Once or twice they'd seen similar people; an Espeon 'morph whose daemon, although not settled, liked being an Umbreon, and a few others like a tough guy with a Skitty daemon and such.
"Hello, welcome to my lab!" Pine grinned, waving Tyra and Kavi in. "Come in, please!" he said, walking in and motioning for the 'morph and her daemon to follow. He leaned against a desk, looking at Tyra. It wasn't a judgemental look, it was a friendly look. Well, it was polite to look at someone, right? Especially if you were asking what they'd like for their starter. "So, any ideas as to what Pokémon you want as a starter?" Pine asked.

As the door opened, and the two were invited in, Kavi noted the Noctowl daemon's glance. They got that reaction a lot, what with their unlikely situation, and while it wasn't insulting (hey, it admittedly was ironic), it did remind him of the issues they had with Tyra coming to terms with her Zangoose genetics. Instinctively, the Seviper pressed himself a little closer to Tyra, glad that those times were over.
Tyra, on the other hand, didn't notice, nor did she notice her daemon's reaction. She was preoccupied as she walked right into the lab, grinning. She was going to get a Pokemon! As she was asked what kind she wanted, though, she paused. Thinking for a second, she answered, "Hmm, something tough. Like....a Bagon, or...a Skarmory! Do you have any of those?" She may not have definitively decided, but both of those seemed good from what she'd heard, although anything strong enough to keep up with her would be nice. Now just to wait and see what Pokemon this lab had on hand.

Professor Pine nodded. "Yes, I think I've seen a Bagon and a Skarmory here somewhere. I'll go get them." he said, walking off. He hadn't gone far, just to the filing cabinet, so Telepa was able to remain perched on the edge of a chair. Her eyes still fixed Kavi in her gaze, but the previous expression was gone. Instead, it was a look of interest. How many times had she seen Pine attempt to make Seviper and Zangoose get along? It was countless, and they'd all been fruitless attempts. Yet here before her were a Seviper and Zangoose, living together in perfect harmony! It touched the daemon's heart. The bond between human and daemon was so strong it could even let deadly enemies live in peace.
Pine returned at that moment, three Pokéballs at hand. He grinned, releasing them. In a flash of red light emerged firstly the Bagon. The Dragon type stared at Tyra, then walked up and sniffed her curiously. He then sat down beside her, not too bothered. The Skarmory was next. It swooped over her head, circling the 'morph for a moment before landing on her other side. It looked at her, smiling. From the third Pokéball came an Ekans, who did nothing. Pine sighed. "Oh, man. How did you get there?" and returned the snake to it's Pokéball.

Tyra and Kavi waited for the Professor to find the Pokemon he was looking for, Kavi looking calm and relaxed while Tyra fidgeted with the ends of her jacket impatiently. She really wasn't good at waiting. When Pine had found the Pokemon he was looking for, though, she broke into a huge grin and watched as the Pokemon were released. A Bagon, and a Skarmory, just like she'd always heard about....and when the third began to materialize, she tensed up a little. A snake? She WAS better than she had been, but still, outside of Kavi she had to hold back her aggression against Sevipers... But, as the form solidified into an Ekans rather than a Seviper, she calmed immediately. Which doesn't mean she could resist instinctively giving it a predatory look, but that didn't cause any damage at least. Kavi, too, let out a small sigh of relief, glad that Tyra hadn't done anything she'd later regret.
With the Ekans back in its Pokeball, the morph could turn back to the other two Pokemon. "Hmm, Bagons are strong, but that Skarmory seems more energetic...." she thought, looking back and forth between the two Pokemon. After a few seconds, Tyra stopped and nodded. She'd decided. "I'll take the Skarmory!" she shouted happily. Personality, from what she could tell, had won out in this case.

Pine smiled, pleased at Tyra's choice. Well, he would have been pleased with whatever she'd chosen, but still. Skarmory was a good Pokémon, and it was clear it was very pleased by this. It was fluttering it's wings, hopping from one foot to the other in delight. Pine returned both Pokémon, then handed Skarmory's Pokéball to Tyra. He then passed along a variety of items which were to be recieved by all new trainers. "Well, here you are. This should be all you need to start you up. Well, erm, good luck! Have fun and I hope your journey lasts long!" he said as he waved her off now she had done all that was needed to be done.
