[Birdybot]

"See, Jizu? Nothing to worry about." Sulteron reassured her daemon, presently an Eevee in her arms. He was looking a little doubtfull still, his eyes on the pink and red Absol prowling in front of them. By their side was a golden Shinx.

{I guess, but I don't think Tayeko likes us that much.} was the daemon's reply, as he shook his head while looking at the Absol sadly.

"Yeah, I guess. But then again, all Pokemon are like that to start with."

{Not like this. Tayeko seems to be his almost wild.}

"Maybe he is different, but he's still our friend. He'll warm up to us, don't worry." Sulteron shrugged. All Jizu said to this was 'Mmm'.

Now the Shinx at their side, who had been listening to their conversation, spoke. ~Indeed, Tayeko seems to dislike you to a certain extent. However, I know that all Pokemon will grow to love their trainer. It merely takes time and care. Tayeko undoubtably likes you, unfortunately he seems to be proud, subtle, powerfull, gracefull, the strong silent type. Very much a lone wolf, I suppose.~ Denka said as they walked. Presently Tayeko tossed his mane and walked slower so the others would catch up.

~Have trust in Denka. She is intelligent.~ came a deep, flowing voice. It was like darkness, yet still luring; Sulteron almost wanted to give herself to the owner of the voice. Jizu gasped; he had seen it was Tayeko that had spoke. This was the first time they had heard the Absol, and where not prepared for it. The wolf gave a hearty chuckle and did something else that was new- he smiled. Well, anything could happen. For now, they would just wait for a Pokemon to appear.

[Angel]

As the Espeon Morph and 3 Pokemon walked along Route 1 there were a group of Pokemon up ahead watching them. Hidden behind a large green bush were a group of Bug Type Pokemon who were snickering at the Shiny Shinx and Absol beside the trainer. A Wurmple giggled as he laughed at the tamed Pokemon beside the strange girl and the Caterpie laughed at their strange colours. The Venonat however remained quiet, the Wurmple and Caterpie stared at one another and pushed the Venonat out of the bush and sent him rolling into the path. Ahead of the trainer appeared a large dust cloud and as it disappeared a shy Venonat's figure stood infront of them. Venonat had to battle one of these Pokemon otherwise Wurmple and Caterpie would never be his friends.

[Birdybot]

Absol prowled around the Venonat, inspecting him, all the while aware that his searching gaze would most likely make Venonat feel rather uncomfortable. He gave a growl, his teeth bared, fur bristling. ~Venonat, I know how you feel. There is no need to fight for the friendship of those two; if they force you into doing something you do not wish to, then they are not your friends. If you do want to fight, I shall accept. Otherwise, it is those two whom I shall fight.~ he snarled, indicating the Wurmple and Caterpie he could see in the bush. He could clearly see Venonat was not enjoying this, for it was shy; perhaps if he defeated them and Sulteron caught them, it would knock some sense into them. ~And if they continue to annoy you, I should remind them I am the Disaster Pokemon.~ he added, blue eyes cold.

[Angel]

Venonat's eyes widened as the Shiny Absol before him spoke. This Pokemon seemed very wise and Venoat admired him in an instant, he looked to the bush where Wurmple and Caterpie were trembling as the 'Disaster Pokemon' had seen them - they were shaking uncontrolably and hugging one another close. Venoat looked toward the ground and thought about the Absol's words. He thought over and over in his head what he was doing and what he should be doing. He nodded. He stood up slowly and faced the dark type Pokemon, seeing in the corner of his eyes that his 'so called friends' had scampered away with their tails between their legs.

Venoat smiled at the dark type and said happily,
"I'm not doing this for them. I know that I need to face my fears for myself as well as for the others around me. I need to become stronger."
He smiled at the dark type and then laughed awkwardly, though he knew this is what he knew he should be doing he couldn't help but think that his shy nature is natural. So he would be feeling a little hazy. But with all his might he ran toward the Absol with a full body Tackle attack, closing his eyes with hesitation.

Sulteron watched Venonat stand strong while his 'friends' scarpered. She preferred Caterpie to Venonat for its evolution of Butterfree, but a Pokemon was a Pokemon and as bugs went, Venonat was kind of cute. She hoped to catch him, and perhaps another on this route if she could find one. He seemed a little nervous to be fighting something with such a powerful aura as Tayeko, so this could come in handy. "Tayeko, Faint Attack before he hits!" she cried, Jizu twittering a cheer in encouragement.

Tayeko blinked his icy blue eyes. It was as if he had not heard. His pink tinted fur rippled in the breeze, powerful muscles clenching and unclenching beneath as though attempting to do something. Then it became apparent what, as the wolf's figure flickered, then disappeared altogether, Venonat's Tackle sailing through thin air. The Absol appeared behind him, the attack hopefully working as the power radiated out.

[Angel]

Venonat blinked as suddenly his opponent disappeared before his very eyes and his tackle attack was allowing his body to soar through thin air. However he was suddenly struck by the Faint Attack from behind and he winced as the power sent him tumbling across the ground in a dusty cloud. It was strange but...Venonat's shy and timid personality disappeared and he felt a rush of adrenaline pulse through his purple furry body. It was as if during a battle Venonat changed...completely. This was obviously shown as he stood up with a meniacal laugh and he eyed the Absol with confidence, his grey antenna twittered and suddenly he sent a rush of supersonic waves toward the Absol in an attempt ot confuse the foe.

Tayeko knew what these waves would do. Unfortuntely for him, Absol generally had excelent hearing, and so he could already faintly hear the mild pulsating rhythm screeching in his ears. The attack could be seen by all, and the wolf Pokemon leapt in a wide arc over the waves, landing on all fours. He breathed heavily for a few seconds, before relaxing; he seemed fine. If a little... shaky. Yes, it was clear now. Tayeko stumbled to his feet and staggered the first few steps towards Venonat. The Absol was not confused, but certainly disorientated.

"Come on, Tayeko! You can do this! Scratch!" Sulteron cried, tail swishing from side-to-side in mild agitation. She felt the shiny would not be able to use his more powerful moves straight away, but at least he would be able to use something.

Tayeko swung his body to one side, the blade on the side of his head showing how much he was shaking. He reared onto his hind legs, stepping unsteadily towards Venonat, front paws free for slashing.

Venonat took an unwise style of dodging as he took steps backwards as fast as he could. Though the errors in that were, the fact that Venonats aren't fast. Venonats have small feet. And going backwards anyway, is not fast. So the Venonat took the Scratch lie any other attack. And then, he charged as fast as he could on his stubby legs to use Tackle on the Absol. His red eyes seeing about eight different Absols. Though by instinct, any of the eyes directions would hit because the eyes were all so close together. That is, if the disoriented Absol did not dodge.

Tayeko cocked his red head to one side as he watched this. What was Venonat doing? Ah... he was giving him a hug... the Absol giggled and opened his paws wide. Venonat slammed into his fluffy chest, making him bark in pain. He had been tricked! Or had he? No, he had been tricked!

Sulteron, no clue of what strange thoughts were going through the confused Pokemon's head as the attack progressed, was a little annoyed but knew Tayeko would find it difficult to perform well. "Tayeko, let's get the naughting Venonat back, shall we? Use Fient!" she cried, trying to work with the emotions showing on Tayeko's face.

Tayeko nodded, placing one clawed paw in front of him. Bad Venonat get hurted. He thought to himself, the nodded and broke into a run. Absol are fast. Well, faster than Venonat, anyway. He whizzed along to the right towards Venonat, then fiented he was moving out and moved in.

The Venonat's expression changed when the Absol thought he was being given a hug. You could tell just by how welcoming the Absol looked and how it spread out it's paws. But, Venonat just slammed right into the Absol's chest. Then, the Venonat retreated back to his spot on the battle distance so there would be no fast shots. He was planning his next move as the Absol was commanded his.

Then he saw the Absol dashing straight at him. At a high speed. It was like a blob of wind flying in the air except with a clear Absol face with a goofy looking gaze. He began to wonder how Confuse Ray did something like that. Oh well, disorientation is good enough right. Speaking of which, a Absol as messed up as Tayeko is probably not going to do anything that bad right. And going that fast, there was no way to dodge.

Then, when the Absol dove right at him, his head clashed right into him. He toppled over as the strong Feint attack collided dangerously into him. He stood up slowly but then was able to keep his chin up and put on a fierce glare in his eyes. He then, used Poison Powder and realeased strogn smelling gas from his coat. The salty substance flickering everywhere.

ooc// -pokes rules- I maded a rule so that all attacks which rarely work will work, like Fient and Focus Punch and stuff. Except for things like Protect and one-hit KOs.

Tayeko paused, confused. Venonat weren't supposed to learn Poison Powder until level 12 or 13, and the Absol was on level 5 seemed to be faring well against it. Perhaps Venonat was one of those Pokemon who learned moves early, or maybe Poison Powder was an Egg Move. It didn't really matter, but the red rolf was curious. They'd find out if they caught it; another reason to win.

Sulteron, too, was surprised by this, but, of course, everything had an explanation to it and today wasn't the day to find out this one. Well, perhaps a bit later, if they caught Venonat, but... well, the picture was clear. She smiled at Tayeko's success so far. This battle would hopefully be over soon. She could see Tayeko holding his breath, but he couldn't do it for too long and breathed in a little of the Poison Powder. He sneezed and blinked hard, but didn't seem to be too badly effected. "Faint Attack!" she cried.

Tayeko faked a coughing fit, pretending he had breathed in another gush of Poison Powder when most of it had cleared up. He did feel a little ill, but nothing time and sleep wouldn't sure. After this battle he and Sulteron would probably camp outside for the night before moving out or something. In the middle of the spluttered coughs, his eyes flashed darker and he disappeared, the attack taking the same path as before; reappearing behind Venonat and attacking.

Venonat had a wide smirk on his face when the Absol was coughing. Obviously oblivious to the fact that it was fake coughing. Then the Absol just disappeared out of thin air. The Venonat was aware that this was a Faint Attack. He swirled around but then got smack right in the face and tumbled backward. Man, that was a nasty blow! The Venonat stood up with a vicious looking grin. He shook his coat off and dirt from the ground fluttered into the air. Then, he charged and used (Hyper Beam! Just kidding) Tackle once more at the Absol.

Sulteron watched for Venonat's reactions. It seemed as though the Pokemon spent too much time washing in his own glory to be sure for himself that the coughing was real. In her opinion, Tayeko wasn't the best actor. At least his faked coughing had worked, anyway. That was the main aim. Venonat weren't the fastest of Pokemon, either. She supposed it was their senses, the fact they were probably the cutest Bug Pokemon, and their ability to inflict good status conditions which made them so successful. "Let it hit, then use the momentum and the fact that it will probably be so pleased it hit that it'll stop, to power your Scratch to finish this battle!" she called.

A smile played at Tayeko's lips. He watched Venonat intensley. Watching... waiting... waiting for the bug to hit. The Absol braced himself. When impact came, it was surprisingly hard, and he felt the hit trigger a little of his weak poisoning to tickle at his energy. Never mind. Growling, the tired red wolf used his body weight to swing himself round and aim. He would then lash out, hopefully slashing at some part of Venonat.
