The lock rattled as Blaedyn struck it, rattling even more as he moved away. It was certainly weakened, and the little metal bar was glowing hot. Metal was softer when heated, and the door was weakening, too. This was good, the cage was becoming opened, slowly but surely. Ralts' parents watched weakly from inside, barely able to keep their eyes open, but clearly proud of their child.
It was now Meowth's turn to attack the lock. The cat yowled as it slashed madly downwards, adrenalin enhancing its movement's power. The first strike made a loud, steely groan, painful to the ears. It slashed again. This time, the lock broke with a sigh and the Gardevoir and Gallade were free.
Ralts squealed in delight, hugging them tightly. ~Mum, dad! I was so scared!~ it murmured, the family reunited.
The parents nodded weakly, looking at Lith. ~Thank you, trainer! Thank you so much!~ the Gallade called.
The Gardevoir was talking to Ralts, but was not a private talk; Lith's daemon still had the right to translate for the human. ~My child, you are clearly mature and independent now. Perhaps you... want to travel with this trainer?~ she asked.
Ralts frowned. It was a tough decision, but in the end, it shook its head, speaking to Lith. ~I don't want to lose my parents so soon after I've saved them, but I promise that some day, I'll come along with you! I'll meet you again, I promise!~ it called, waving as the family of three moved away before any grunts could return. Meowth stayed with Lith, smiling.
~We make a good team, don't you think?~ the cat commented.

~Yes, we did it!~ Blaedyn shouted after Meowth slashed the lock open.
Alexucard gave a relieved howl as well. "Finally, they're free!"
Lithalia was clearly overjoyed at this fact, her eyes positively beaming. "Great job, Blaedyn!" she exclaimed as Blaedyn ran and jumped into his trainer's arms. Catching him and holding him tightly, she continued, "You've been doing so well through all of this." Then they watched the happy reunion between Ralts and its parents, feeling as happy as they were. In response to the Gallade's thanks, she replied, "Oh, no, it was no problem at all! I was just happy we could help you all out," she giggled.
But now the psychic family had to leave. Lith's smile dimmed a bit when she realized she couldn't be with them anymore, but then lightened up as she spoke. "I understand how you feel, Ralts, and it's perfectly fine! I'm just gonna miss you lots." Putting Blaedyn down, she knelt down and gave Ralts a big hug.
Blaedyn wanted to say goodbye, too. ~Bye bye, Ralts! It was really fun battling with you,~ he muttered sadly with a little sniffle while he gave Ralts another hug.
As the happily united family walked away, Lithalia yelled after them. "Bye! I can't wait to see you again, Ralts!" Blaedyn and Alexucard also joined in in saying their farewells. They all watched as the three disappeared; then Lith heard what the cat Pokemon beside her had to say. "Yeah, we did, didn't we?" she replied with a big smile. "Does that mean that you...wanna come with us on our journey?" she asked, hope in her eyes. She was excited at the idea of gaining more members in her team.
"Hey, we could use another member!" Alex added. "And you did great with that lock. I'm sure Blaedyn wants you to come along, too," he smiled, hoping to gain new members as well. Blaedyn replied with an excited nod and a smile stretched across his face.

Meowth grinned and nodded, blushing a little. Yes, it would love to come along with this trainer. She was brave and strong, kind and caring. Meowth felt it would be much happier with her. After all, every Meowth sought to be with the nicest humans, for it was in the nature of a Meowth to want to be pampered. This Meowth felt that a trainer would be so much better than the wilderness. Training, getting stronger and fighting would still be easy to do, and there were bonuses and luxories such as a warm bed, stroking and the like. Oh, and it doubted it would be considered vermin in towns if it was with a trainer, either.
Still grinning, Meowth stepped forward. It could barely contain its excitement; it was shaking with the emotion. The cat Pokémon extended a claw and tapped the button of one of Lith's empty Pokéballs. That was all it took, one simple touch. It was absorbed inside, and the Pokéball began shaking. Gently, before it stopped altogether after barely a second had passed.
Meowth was caught!

Lith giggled when Meowth "caught" itself; the shaking of the pokeball on the belt around her waist tickled. But mostly she giggled because she was excited that her family was growing bigger and bigger, and she was growing as a trainer as well. Still laughing with the same excitement the Meowth felt, she took the pokeball off the belt and held it tightly in her hands. "How about we call you Amira from now on?" she declared with a wide grin. "It sounds kinda cute, dont'cha think?" Meowth's pokeball shook a little as if she liked her new name. Lith giggled again. "Good then," she smiled in response.
After clipping the red and white sphere back onto her belt, Lith patted Alex on the head and lifted Blaedyn into her arms. "Come on, guys; it's been a long day, and we should try to get to the next town soon." The Growlithe daemon beside her let out a bark in response, and the Riolu in her arms nodded, blinking sleepily. With that, the trio made their way down the beaten path into the dense, thickening woods, while the sky darkened overhead as the late afternoon shifted into early evening.
