Just wondering which game everyone's planning on getting (if they're getting it) and what starter?  I was thinking if people have female starters, we could possibly do starter egg swaps, which would be super cool. So like if one person can breed Totodiles and someone else can breed Chikoritas, they could trade. Not as a site thing, just for people who want other starters along with their original. n_n I myself will probably get a Cyndaquil for my SoulSilver =3 |

I usually get the water starters, but I just think Totodile is just sort of odd... I like it, but I like Cyndaquil better XD

Well, I dunno. I had a Totodile in my original Silver, but there are practically no fire pokemon (from what I remember) and both Lugia and Red Gyarados are wonderful water-types...XD Totodile has a lot of cool new attacks, though.
If there is a good fire pokemon in SoulSilver, though, I may get Totodile instead =3
Out of curiosity, do you guys prefer female or male starters? I used to like girls more, but now I try to get guy starters 'cause of the Attack increase. P:

I got SoulSilver today, I chose Cyndaquil. ^^
As for genders, I try to get an even 3/3 for my teams. This is the first Pokemon Game where I'm goning to strategically plan and make my team as well as have more than one team and use more HM Slaves.

I got HeartGold & cyndaquil (quilava now  ).
I preordered it and got it like, the moment it came out. xD;;
Does anyone else have it already & how far are you?

Having a male starter was a pain for the third gym. I only had two pokemon, and her's kept seducing my quilava! xP I had to level them up so much to win... n_n;;

How come you all have it? It isn't released until the 24th! I sooooo want. And how come everyone wants SoulSilver? HeartGold has Growlithes in it  Whatever, when it comes out, Birdy is going to get it, lock herself up and play until she realises she has to eat. |

Well, I have a few friends to help me out, so possibly I'm gonna try get all 3 starters and a ditto to breed XD I wouldn't mind giving a couple of the chilluns to you guys. I don't have the game right now, though D:< I preordered it (and the Lugia figurine) on Amazon and they're backed up. Feh. Oh, I got SoulSilver for Lugia, I've always been madly in love with Lugia since I saw Pokemon 2000 when I was 5. I do miss the Growlithes, though ;.; And the Kyogre! But since I'm already getting a fire starter, I don't need another fire type...
Haha, I remember in my original Silver game, the 3rd gym leader kept on Rollouting all my pokemon.  It took me forever to figure out to use sand attack to make the accursed Miltank miss, since I hated using stat-altering moves when I was younger.
I thought they had come out on the 14th?  Do you live in Europe by any chance? I think they come out on the 24th there, but I'm not sure...XD;

We have it because the US gets it before Europe/England. And I chose SoulSilver because you get Lugia faster than you get Ho-Oh and I like Lugia better..so...xD |

The only time I don't get a water starter is in Kanto. (I get Bulbasaur). I got Soulsilver and got a Totodile. Well, actually I ahve a crazy party containing of;
Feraligatr, Sudowoodo, Dragonite, Darkrai, Poliwrath, and Metagross.

Wow, that was quick. I got HG yesterday, but since I'm saving the game as something to do on a 7 hour plane journey, I haven't started yet. It's tricky, but I'll manage to wait.

I want to get SS or HG but what I really want is new Pokemon! So when the 5th gen one comes out (whenever that'll be, prob 2011 or 2012) then I'm getting one of them and my lil' sis who also loves Pokemon will get the other |

The one reason why I ditched Lugia for Ho-oh. x3 W00t for Arcanines!
I like Totodile. <3 It was the starter in Crystal for me, and I loved it to bits and never let it evolve. XDD
Hmmm, come to think of it, I have a Fire starter in Kanto, a Water starter in Johto, and a Grass starter in Hoenn, and I fail to play the Gen IV games. O:
