Character
Name: November Lauritsen
Age: 12
Gender: Male
Pokemorph: N/A
Appearance: November is an average height for his age, though he is commonly mistaken for being older. This likely has more to do with the way he holds himself rather than the way he actually looks. In fact, he has a bit of a baby face. Smooth and perpetually pale, despite spending most of his time outside. It could be his hair, a deep, inky black color. Though it is the color that makes his skin appear so pale, this would not be if it wasn't for the size. November's hair is somewhat like a cloud. His hair isn't exactly curly, but rather, wavy. And big. Occasionally he pins it back to keep it out of his eyes, but those pins tend to get consumed by the mass.
Due to a lack of glasses, November is a victim of chronic headaches, though he's become somewhat used to them. His eyes are green, a deep emerald shade, and rather big, with thick, dark lashes.
Aside, he is a lot stronger than he looks. Both mentally and physically. Any evidence of said physical strength he hides, though not intentionally, under several layers of clothes. November is always cold, punny as that may sound, which may have something to do with him being as horribly skinny as he is. Even with that muscle, he probably weighs under the average amount for someone his age, considering his body fat is likely at the bare minimum.
Personality: With his seemingly split personality, deceit has always been November's specialty. Normally he seems like a nice guy, sweet and caring deeply for people and pokemon alike. He's brave, and often goes out of his way to help others, regardless of his impressions of them. November is an idealist, one who believes in the best of people and that helping even those who hurt you will eventually pay off.
There is another side to his personality, though. Since he's fairly quiet and gentle, keeping any self-expression subtle, many people are lead to believe that he has a split personality. This is because November's other side is cold and somewhat cruel, and adrenaline junkie who takes delight in violence. As he is ashamed of this side of himself, November plays up the split personality thing, and it is probably safe to say that no one knows the truth.
Oddly enough, when lying directly, November is terrible at it. On the other hand, he is an expert at deceit and leading people astray. Not openly lying, but twisting the truth and subtly leading people to believe lies. As talented as he is in this area, however, it's not something he particularly enjoys doing nor finds any reason to do.
Idealistic as his mindset is, he is convinced that all things have their place, even acts most consider as sinful, such as lying. To November there are no bad people, only those with beliefs that conflict with the majority or disturb the peace.
History: As a child, November was raised by his grandmother, who told him great stories. The stories she told were often about his parents, who were great, legendary pokemon trainers. They were heroic people, who fought in the name of peace throughout the land. The old lady herself had once been a pokemon breeder and still took care of a few that she'd formed a powerful friendship with in her day.
In her old age, his grandmother began to grow senile. The stories got darker and she often told the same one more than once. Sometimes she forgot November or called him by his father's name. And then one day she died. It was late November and snowing, and she would reach out a hand from under the covers to touch the frosted glass and whisper, "November... November..." and her grandson would pretend she was talking to him, for by this time she could hardly recognize his face.
Only after she died did he find out the truth about his parents. They were scientists. His mother used to work under a famous pokemon researcher and was said to be very good at her job, good enough to take over for her boss one day. Excepts that day never came. On parole, a man started doing odd jobs for the professor, mostly janitorial work, and got to be close with November's mother.
The two married and had November, and a year later after November's mother received a promotion, making her a heir of sorts to the professor, they had another child, a girl. The man was on parole for performing illegal experiments on people and pokemon alike. This fascinated November's mother and, in secret, the pair began sneaking money to fund their own research and experiments. They used their daughter as a guinea pig.
There were many rumors concerning the results of the experiment. Some said it had been a success. The girl was a pokemorph that could switch between any of the evolutions of Eevee. Even those who believed this, however, were sure that she'd died soon after, or that she was in captivity, or that she'd escaped and was somewhere in the wild, probably dead by now anyhow.
Meanwhile, November had been sent to live with his grandmother when his parents went to jail, only to learn of their evils many years later, when he was nine years old. After the death of his grandmother, he inherited her house and his parents' old laboratory. He travels, for the most part, occasionally returning to his grandmother's house and never having visited his parents' laboratory. It's not so much because he's scare to acknowledge them as the way they really were, but instead he's more scared of becoming like them. In her insanity his mother would often say that he reminded him of his mother, and he's well aware that he could very well be smart enough to carry on their work.
Career: Breeder
The Daemon
Name: Alu
Form (If settled): N/A
Favourite Form/s (If not settled): Doduo, chansey, cyndaquil, quilava, espeon, togetic.
Appearance: There is very little that can be used to tell Alu apart from other pokemon. November has never found any reason to give her any sort of identifying mark, as he can point her out for being his daemon anyhow. Even so, she does have a scar beginning on her cheek and arcing around the side of her head. It's not particularly large and can be impossible to see in some forms.
Personality: Alu is very easy-going and friendly. There is no one who Alu doesn't like, ever. She's easily excitable and affectionate, which leads to a tendency to come on a little strong. Even so, she brings out the best in November, being the poster deamon for the stupidly courageous. They make a good team; with November as the brains and Alu as the heart.
Even so, she has a fierce sense of loyalty and would follow November anywhere, regardless of her own misgivings. In truth, she is simple minded and maybe a bit too naive, but she means well. In a way she is the same as November. While he is determinedly set in his opinions, she is set in her's, and though they differ slightly they do not conflict.
