Well... I Suck At This....

Well... I suck at this. Spriting I mean. It's all very,very bad and obvious to see where I got it all from - despite me trying my best. I've made a sprite, and I was just wondering what people thought and if anyone would be kind enough to help me get rid of the white background and make it a lot cleaner and neater and everything... Well here it is (the different forms will depend on things like weather or maybe just different forms from where they are found, I'm not quite sure yet):


Fire -- Ice -- Ground -- Water -- Electric -- Grass -- Dark

OKay. I have decided. These are evolutions of Female Ralts and they are all part psychic and part of the above types, and I will make them evolve via different stones: fire stone, Nevermeltice, Sun Stone, Water Stone, Thunder Stone, Leaf Stone, Dusk Stone.

Aww, don't be too hard on yourself. =) I think it's great in terms of cleanness and coloring, and I see you colored the outline, which is a nice touch. I love the idea of weather patterns too. X3 Yay for Castform! I think the only problem is that it's pretty obvious which two main sprites you used (as you said), Celebi and Kirlia, so it's difficult to make a completely new pokemon out of that unless it'll be a branch off of Ralts/Celebi. But that's really for Birdy to say, not me. n_n

I know! If I can get them accepted, what you have to do is evolve Ralts with stones! A little like Eevee! But in that case I should probably make a couple more... Oh well... This is fun! ^_^ Despite it being obvious and my lack of spriting skills! ^_^ THanks everyone.

Maybe evolve Kirlia? Like the Gallade, but this one's for females or something...

I suppose, but then wouldn't it be too similar to Kirlia to evolve from it? Maybe it could be only female Ralts evolving?

Right decisions made. My only problem is that I don't want sprites that have that white bakcground stuck behind them all the time.... Can someone help me and tell me how to get the background to match whatever site it's on please?

You'd need something other than MS Paint. I think maybe GIMP could do it? Save as a PNG file, make sure the background is clear (no white colour on it)... I would offer to transparentise for you, but I can't use Photoshop now...

If you have Microsoft Photo Editor, there should be an option there where you can turn white into transparent. If you have the program, I can explain more thoroughly (it's how I used to do things).

GIMP is kind of difficult to learn, though, from what I've heard. I like to use SAI (and sometimes Photoshop too to brighten things) but I can't remember where I got my crack from (ehehe) and you need to install it in Japanese first before sticking the translator file in. When I started to work on the computer, I used a free program called Serif Photoplus, and that uses layers and stuff so it's easier to draw with. www.freeserifsoftware.com/ <- There's the site. Sadly don't have those programmes... Well I could just leave them as they are and add them to the Pokedex, in hopes of getting them accepted since none of them are FLYING types ^_^

For the grass, you used a Leafeons ear XD
The fire, a Flareons?
The ground, an Eevee?

I like them, though, better than I could do at this point in time

The Dark-type's ones remind me of Absol tails, and the Water-type's seem to me to be that Gen IV fishy thing (Lumeon? Not so sure, have not actually met it before). The Electric-type... Hmmm, Swablu wings or something? *Fails*
