Starting over again.

Sakura skipped happily down the lane to Pine Labs. It had been a tough journey to get here, but she had sleptwell the night before and was brimming with enegy. Tylin's short legs were a blur as he struggles to keep up with the girl. She grinned, fully aware of his plight, but teasing him by moving even faster.

He let out an angry cry and bounded to her shoulder. "Sakura, that's not very nice of you!" He said, thwacking her in the ear. " I'm much small than you and you are TORTURING me by moving faster." He glared at her after he said that, but she pretended not to notice.

"Its not MY fault that you are small, Ty. You shouldn't of settled as such a small Pokemon. If you had settled as a Charizard, or a Meganium, or a Blaziken or an Empoleon we wouldn't be worring about you being so small." She said, stretching her arms up then folding them behind her head as she slowed to a walk." But no, you had to choose an Eevee, and a pipsqueak one at that."

Tylin's golden yelllow fur bristled in annoyance, but he restrained himself to just sticking his tounge out at her.

Sakura laughed and then pointed ahead of them. " There it is." She said, smiling. " Pine Labs, and the start of our next adventure."

She sprinted the last bit of ground between them and the lab, skidding to a halt outside the door. With a grin at Ty, she knocked on the door...

Professor Pine was inside the lab as usual, and he heard the knock without too much difficulty. Hurrying to answer it, he smiled. This was partially the warm, welcoming smile he always gave to new trainers, and partially because he was pleased with the oppertunity to send off another new trainer into the world. He opened the door not too long after Sakura had knocked. His daemon had settled as a Noctowl and was preening her feathers on his shoulder. Looking at aty made him remember when his daemon used to change. He'd hoped that she'd be something tough or fluffy, but of course a daemon can't choose what they settled as. "Welcome to Pine Labs. I'm Professor Pine, and this is my daemon, Telepa. Come in and tell me what Pokemon you want." he said, leading Sakura inside.

The girl and her daemon nodded a greeting to the professer's daemon, and Sakura followed him into the lab. " Hi, I'm Sakura, from Kanto. I'm a Breeder in Training. As I'm sure you've guessed, I'm hear for a Pokemon."

Sakura smiled. " I've been researching Enera Pokemon and I know exactly who I want to start with if you have it. I'd like to start with a Pyrenti. Female if possible."

Tylin smiled. " What she didn't say, was that if you don't have any Pyrenti, she wouldn't mind a Taleo"

Professor Pine nodded. Pylenti and Taleo were definately some of the most popular Enera region Pokemon, probably because they evolved into very large and detailed feline and wolf like Pokemon. Anyway, he needed to show her any Pylenti he currently had in his lab. Moving over to his filing cabinet, he dug around inside until he found three Pokeballs containing Pylenti. "I believe these are the Pylenti we currently have. Take your pick!" he smiled, releasing all three. The first Pylenti seemed very calm and carefree, stretching out and relaxing at Sakura's feet. The second one seemed very friendly and playful, leaping about before rolling over next to Sakura, begging for its tummy to be tickled. The third one seemed more nervous, watching Sakura curiously from a safe distance.

Sakura glanced at Tylin and he hopped down to the ground as she knelt down to examine the young Pokemon up close. She held out her hand to the one at her feet, petting it and going over its body to check its health. She ran her fingers though its fur, checking the shine and softness of its coat. She smiled. A lovely specimen of a Pokemon. Of course, belong to the Professer, it would be.

She giggled and indulged the second Pyrenti, scratching at her belly playfully.She examined her closely, noting a nice healthy glow to its flames as she rubbed the belly. She grinned. This one was darling and just beautiful.

She turned her attention to the shy one. It would be a challenge to get it out of its shell, but it would be a fun challenge. She held out her hand and slowly moved toward its, murmuring soothing noises and smiling friendlily. Once she got close enough she gently stroked its head and scratched its ears. Yes, a challenge. Was she up to it though?

After giving all of them a good look over and some attention she stood back up and backed off a few steps, thinking over her decision. She caught Tylin's eye and nodded towards the one she liked. Her daemon looked over and back, then nodded.

He stepped forward to the one in the center. With a smile he said, " Your boundless energy is what drew us to you. We would like you to accompany us on our new adventure. Would you like to come with us?"

All the Pokémon in Professor Pine's lab generally want to go on adventure as they see all the trainers, whether they were rookies or champions, visit the lab. At least, when they were given the oppertunity they almost always chose to go with the trainer unless they were mean. None of the Pylenti thought Sakura was mean, so the one she had chosen nodded with a huge grin. It was incredibly pleased that it had been selected. The others looked a little disappointed, but mostly happy for their fellow Pokémon.

Pine returned the two others to their Pokéballs, and handed the Pokéball of the chosen Pylenti to Sakura. There, she was now ready with her first Pokémon. Telepa swooped over an grabbed a drawstring bag containing the starter's items from a shelf, dropping it into Pine's arms where he handed them over to Sakura. "Now, you're all set to start your journey! You have your Pokémon and items, so head out to Route One and I hope you have good luck!" he smiled to her as it was time to leave.
