♥♦♣♠ Ajax & Nyx ♠♣♦♥ ► "What was it doing in our PC? That was surprising, it just appeared there...I don't think it looks like it might be able to take on the Pokemon League and win, don't you? I feel kind of bad about doing this, but I guess it's good in the end that it'll go to someone who wants it, rather than sitting in the PC all the time," Ajax remarked as he and Nyx entered the Trade Center, stopping short to whirl around and take in all the bleeps, bloops, flashing lights, pings, and otherwise common sounds found the area. "Well, I didn't want to take it out of it's Pokeball, since I'd feel bad if I had known some other kind of..." He trailed off abruptly; in fact, he certainly had 'known some other kind of life and been ripped from it.' Looking downward, he stayed rooted to the ground, claw hanging lifelessly at his side. «
►"Look, I miss Prince Léon too, but you're not going to get anywhere if you keep freezing whenever you think of him, okay?" Nyx started off bluntly, her voice softening somewhat. "He sent you here to help you benefit, so I feel bad about saying this as well, but just try to have as much fun as you can, okay? He and Lycia would have wanted that." She paused for a moment to let that sink in, then motioned to one of the open trading stations with her tail. "Now, let's try this whole trading business, I'm curious to see how it works!" «
►Rubbing his eyes, Ajax grinned sheepishly. "Yeah...sorry...being weak. Being stupid." Screwing up his face, he walked purposefully towards the chair and plunked himself in it, gazing at the keys around him surrounded by screens and panels. "I think they want us to put in this bit of information, what we're requesting and the Corsola we're offering...help me type? It's so hard with this," he complained light-heartedly as he and Nyx set down to punching the keys. «
► Ajax Reiotir offers a Corsola, female, lv 5! ► Ajax Reiotir is requesting a Horsea, ♂, lv 5!
►"Huh? A Horsea? But aren't those more common than Corsola? W-what if we get ripped off? Nyx, I know we're trying to get to a Kingdra here, but...why don't we just try the Safari Zone for a Lapras or something? Geez, don't try to rip us off!" Fret, anger, fret. « ► "Don't worry. If we request a more common Pokemon, we might get one with a special move or carrying an item or something. It's highly unlikely, but the chance is still there. We'll probably get more choice, too." «

I hope you don't mind, but can I edit this? Reasons; a Dragon Scale costs, like, $5,000 in the shops so I don't really want to trade Pokémon with items, you haven't included personality, and not so important but I tend to use the default stat layout for other people's so they can edit however they like... Is this OK, Krows? Result One:
Name: Species: Horsea Gender: Female Level: 5 Ability: Swift Swim- Boosts the Pokémon's Speed in rain. Attacks: Bubble, Smokescreen Personality: Horsea is a little shy, being a fairly timid Pokémon; one of the reasons her trainer no longer wants her. She will do her best, even if she does get scared, since she has a big heart. OT: Terry
Result Two:
Name: Hippocampa Species: Horsea Gender: Female Level: 5 Ability: Sniper- Powers up moves if they become critical hits. (3x power for a critical hit move instead of 2x.) Attacks: Bubble, Smokescreen Personality: Unlike a lot of unwanted Pokémon, this Horsea has turned to aggresion and violence. She is a strong Pokémon, but she abuses this by beating other Pokémon and even her own trainer sometimes. OT: Alisa
Result Three:
Name: Weedy Species: Horsea Gender: Male Level: 5 Ability: Swift Swim- Boosts the Pokémon's Speed in rain. Attacks: Bubble, Smokescreen Personality: This Horsea was not abandoned for being mean or weak, but rather being girly. He might be a male, but one might not think that at first. He is most definately a Pokémon homosexual, and is very kind-natured and loving. OT: Fisherman Ron

♥♦♣♠ Ajax & Nyx ♠♣♦♥ ► "What? That was strange," Ajax exclaimed, frowning as he peered closer to the screen. "I searched for male Horsea only and got two females!" He scrutinized the list for a few seconds with Nyx. As he came down to the last Pokemon on it, he exclaimed, "What?! Why would that Pokemon be named Weedy? That's ridiculous! What a stupid name!" A few people in the next trading booth over glared at him, one shushing him loudly, rolling their eyes at the Scizor 'morph. "Well...Hippocampa sounds okay, but I thought we'd have more variety like you said." He pulled a face, then lapsed into deep thought. After a while, he perked up, clicking the mouse around the screen. «
► Nyx stretched, reading the data along with her human. "What I'm more surprised about is the lack of items and egg moves. Since we were trying to get a Common Pokemon, it seems odd that no one is offering one. I suppose no one really wants a Corsola." She tapped her tail to the side, considering. "You should just choose one of these though, because the faster we have the Pokemon in our hands, the faster we can start training him or her." «
► Thinking about this for a second, Ajax plucked the Pokeball with Corsela in it off of his desk and placed it onto the dish that would teleport it to the other trainer. "Okay, I guess I'll choose Weedy, then. But we have to change his name at a Name Rater as soon as possible. Poor guy, being named Weedy. Goodness knows I need someone nice on my party," he grumped unhappily, looking at the Pokeball attached to his belt which Styl was in. «
► Ajax requested a trade! Weedy for Corsola?

Ah, sorry... I thought maybe leaving personality open was fine, but then I saw that it wasn't. D:
(Also, it seems that the Horsea does hold a Dragon Scale in the wild, and it said in the first post that there might be a chance that a lower-rarity Pokémon could hold an item, so...)
I'll leave you to reply to it, then, Birdy? Or is a reply even needed? O:

I suppose that items would be fine, but when they cost lots of money it would be bad. So, just stuff under about $800 would be fine, like berries, Pokéballs and stuff. After all, trainers might give their Pokémon berries
Anyway, trade accepted. Corsola was traded for Weedy the Horsea.

♥♦♣♠ Ajax & Nyx ♠♣♦♥ ►Ajax watched with interest as the machine began to hum, shaking a little as something inside it churned and the hum grew deeper. He jumped as a flash of yellow light enveloped the Pokeball with Corsola, staring at the empty space for a moment. ”Hey, what’s with that? They didn’t give us anything back!” he exclaimed, looking at the screen incredulously. ”Hey, that’s not—oh,” the Scizor pokemorph trailed off guiltily, as the words TRADE ACCEPTED scrolled across the screen. There was a loud ping, and suddenly a Pokeball rolled down the metallic slide, coming to rest in the same slot where Ajax had put the Corsola’s capsule. Picking it up gingerly, he narrowed his eyes as he peered at it suspiciously for a moment, getting up out of the seat and stretching, still watching the Pokeball curiously. So this Horsea was going to be girly, huh? He didn't really mind that too much--what really irked him was the name. Sheesh, Weedy. Well, he'd just have to search every town he came to for that accursed Name Rater. Eagerly, he left the Centre with Nyx, paying the lady at the front desk for the trade, wondering what his new Pokemon would be like. «
►As soon as Ajax was outside, he tossed the ball at the fountain outside the center, catching it skillfully in his left hand when it bounced back to him. There was the Horsea, swimming back and forth in the fountain. He waved to the little seahorse, coming a little closer. Nyx followed with an odd mixed expression of amusement and apprehension on her face. "Hi," he addressed the Horsea. "I'm your new Trainer--my name is Ajax, and my dæmon's name is Nyx. Welcome to the team, okay?" He smiled, trying to look friendly rather than menacing as he usually appeared. «
►The Horsea turned around, eyes sparkling. "Oh~!" it exclaimed in a high, girly voice, bouncing up and down in the water. "Oooh, you're my new Trainer? Ajax? How exciting, how exciting!" he trilled, and he launched himself forward in a spray of droplets, landing on Ajax's chest and nuzzling his neck like an excited puppy. "Ajax, you're so awesome! I'm sooo happy I'll be able to fight for you and surpass my name~" Weedy crooned, headbutting Ajax with affection as Ajax stood there surprised. « ►Was this Pokemon really a guy? He made a face at Nyx, who was quivering as she fought to hide in a snicker at the Horsea's antics. "Don't worry, Weedy, as soon as we get to a Name Rater, we'll give you a name that really fits, for you, okay?" He grinned despite himself, even though he found it seriously odd to have the seahorse cuddling up to him. «
►Trade episode finished.
