Birdy//♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥Ahead, there came the sound of another human's voice. Perhaps there was another trainer Ajax could battle! It sounded male, and was talking to his dæmon. "You know, Mav, for a first mission, I reckon we did pretty well, don't you think?" he said, sounding rather full of himself. As the voice came closer, the sound of a Pokémon squealing in complaint could also be heard. How strange. The dæmon replied, her voice proud as well as a little worried.
~Now now, Larry, you mustn't let things like this get to your head.~ they were even nearer now. "Maverla! Look on the bright side for once! Look, we managed to capture this from the wild, even with that trainer protecting it! The Boss'll be so pleased! I bet you I get a bonus for getting this rather than a normal one. I bet you." he said. So... he'd stolen something? And what did he mean by 'this rather than a normal one'?
As the two came into view, it was visable why. Larry was a tall young man wearing some sort of uniform; all black with a hat, jacket with a paler stripe and gloves. There was no logo or anything, so it was impossible to tell what the uniform was from. His dæmon, Maverla, had the form of a large Poochyena. Larry was holding a cage, inside which was a struggling Zigzagoon- a shiny one. A shiny! How rare! That must have been what he had meant by 'rather than a normal one'. When the shiny Zigzagoon saw Ajax, it cried out loudly for help, sounding incredibly sad. ~Trainer! Help, please! This trainer was trying to protect me from the nasty man, but was beaten... they want my DNA!~
it squealed. The dæmon, who understood it, gave it a warning snarl. Larry looked at Ajax confidently. "Well, well, well, little Pokémorph. Shouldn't you be in a lab? Whatever. Just... go away and let's get on with our seperate lives, shall we?" [/blockquote][/blockquote] ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

► Hearing the voices, Ajax stopped abruptly, shushing loudly while immediately falling into a battle stance that wasn’t too different from the one Styl had used to start the battle with the Pachirisu, Meccido. Nyx drew herself to her full height, her tails flaring around her in an intimidating fashion, her face impassive as she watched the figure round the corner. Hmmm…this could not be good. Something’s fishy. First mission? Boss? As Scilde padded closer to the uniformed Trainer with the Zigzagoon, Nyx swiftly flicked out one of her tails, barring the way for the curious ice lizard. If the man was prone to capture, there was no telling if the Cielo might be seized as well—after all, Nyx hadn’t seen one in Professor Pine’s book, so she could hazard a guess that they were fairly unknown or rare. Well, the guy was practically screaming for a battle, that much was clear, especially with the creature yelling for help at his side. A shiny, too, and Zigzagoon…didn’t it have a useful ability…what was it? Should’ve read more carefully. «
►Meanwhile, Ajax was frozen for a moment, claw open and somewhat threatening. He bristled a little at the way he had been addressed; sure, the man was a good four or more heads taller than he, but the gigantic scarlet pincer, what with the eye-markings on the sides, ought to count for something, even if he was a kid and therefore shrimpy in stature. ”Oi, who are you calling little?” was his retort anyway: Ajax’s pride had taken a blow. Even so, with a trace of nervousness, he glanced at the shiny Zigzagoon yelping for help in the cage. The capturer was most certainly wearing some sort of uniform—who knows what organization he belonged to—but that meant he was probably fairly powerful, and had more than one Pokemon. Although, if he was so powerful, why had he captured Zigzagoon in a cage and not in a Pokeball? Huh. To help or not to help? If he got whipped by the guy, his Pokemon might get stolen too…and there would go his whole mission, and he’d never be able to get back to Telaseine and the Prince. Hesitating briefly, he glanced at Nyx and then Styl, wondering what they would do. «
► Styl had locked eyes with the hapless Zigzagoon. She recoiled slightly, shocked. Never before had she met a Pokemon struggling like that, with the light of desperation burning, and no hope for survival. She hopped closer, fluffing her feathers instinctively, morbidly curious but not sure if she actually wanted to help yet. The Potion had given her plenty of energy to fight, but did she want to bother? It would have to be Ajax’s decision. She grimaced a little at the thought. As she considered, Nyx watched the Poochyena dæmon closely, thinking it out. Sure, the uniformed man might be a strong fighter, but he had mentioned that this was his first mission. Chances were he would only be a little stronger than Ajax at best. Her gaze flickered to Ajax, then to the cage. Fight.
« ► Only a few moments had passed by since Ajax’s initial outburst, and with this practically inscrutable exchange between himself and Nyx, his confidence was bolstered and his temper tugged at him. ”Heh, a lab? You wish. Maybe if you two had shut your trap you’d have gotten back to your precious Boss okay, but now you’ve gotten yourself in an opportunity to ruin your big mugs!” Ajax growled back, sweeping his claw outward and seeping just as much confidence as Larry. Styl resisted rolling her eyes at this point, while Scilde glanced back at her Trainer, startled. « [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Birdy//♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥Larry was surprised as Ajax made his move, lunging out with his claw. What? The grunt managed to duck in time, eyes widened in fear before an angry look crossed his face, the man clearly none too happy with what had just happened. He moved towards Ajax, glaring at him. His dæmon kicked Zigzagoon's cage, making the shiny whimper and fall silent; it was evident now that it was covered in cuts, bruises and burns; warnings as to what this man could do.
Larry then spoke, surprisingly calmly at that. "Well, little Pokémorph, aren't we smug. Team Tsuasa have captured this Pokémon for its lovely shiny gene, and perhaps we'll have to capture you, too. At any rate, we certainly shouldn't be so... barbaric. A battle, little Pokémorph?" he asked cooly, with a flick of his wrist having a Pokéball from his belt in his hand. He smiled, not waiting for Ajax's response before releasing it.
The Pokémon solidifying from the red light was a horse-like one. He tossed his fiery mane, snorting and rearing onto his hind legs to intimidate his opponents as he emerged. This was a Ponyta, without doubt, and a rather cruel looking one at that. Zigzagoon gave a squeal of fear; well, this explained the burns, at least. Ponyta shot an Ember at the racoon which made it faint, then turned to Ajax, flicking his flaming tail from side to side expectantly.

► While Ajax might have noticed the Zigzagoon’s burns and oozing scrapes normally, he was too angry at the moment. It did not miss Nyx’s watchful eye, however, and she stiffened slightly, suddenly leaving her Ninetails form and transforming into a pale Skarmory, wings still folded but talons ready to strike in case something happened. In any case, she knew that her human hadn’t really swung to hit the guy—it was more of an instinctive, aggressive territorial gesture, not to mention that he was several meters away—but she did know that he was being unnecessarily mad, and that of course would lead to poor judgment, which could only bring trouble. Not only that but…How many Pokemon did he have? And what had he said? Team…Su…wasa? Ajax hadn’t heard any of this. ”Silence! I’m not little! And you’ll never capture me, or my Pokemon, or Nyx!” the Scizor-morph practically snarled, standing on his tiptoes (he was still a good almost three heads shorter than Larry). «
► Styl, having hopped closer, tilted her head curiously at the burned and beat up Zigzagoon, suppressing two opposite emotions, a shudder and a smirk. A shudder, for there had that raccoon been beaten and slashed, all because his fur glimmered, just as hers. And a smirk, for the man did have a point—Ajax was acting like a barbarian. She then transferred her gaze to the eyes of the Ponyta, snorting and ready for battle, and her fur lifted a little, clicking her beak digging into the ground with her small claws. ”You want a battle, you got it! Sci—“ He was interrupted as Nyx stamped on his foot, which would have been painful had his feet had skin rather than steely red exoskeleton. He glared at his dæmon, and she stared flatly back at him, bringing back a small amount of rationality. Oh. Right. Weaknesses. Scilde’s an ice-type.
But he really didn’t want to use…ugh…Weedy against the obnoxious guy. Especially with that nickname. UGH. UGH. UGH. “Go and no fooling around!” In a flash of red light, the Horsea appeared. Please, please do not let him do anything weird. « ► Unfortunately for Ajax, his fears were confirmed. ”Ooooh, A-jay! So nice of you to let me out of my Pokeball! Good weather, too!” The Horsea wriggled happily, fluttering his eyelashes at his trainer. With a gasp, the seahorse Pokemon noticed Ponyta. Omigosh, a battle? What fun!” Then he realized how…pugnacious the Ponyta seemed, He wilted a little, flapping his fin placatingly. ”Ehehehe…wait…we don’t have to be so competitive, battles are all well and good but we’re friends in the end, right?” He swayed from side to side in the air, making puppy-dog eyes at the Ponyta. « ► ”You idiot! Get out there, NOW!” Ajax raged. ”Smokescreen and Bubble!” Two attacks they had practiced, so at least Weedy would know how to do them right. He hoped. Thankfully, Weedy made a frowny face but then suddenly faced the Ponyta and puffed out a thick stream of black smoke right into his face, ‘swimming’ a bit to the side and then quickly spitting out a strong stream of 13 or 14 bubbles which sailed straight for the fire horse’s neck, side, and flank. As this happened, Nyx realized that Larry might possibly run away with the Zigzagoon (which wouldn’t be so difficult now that he had smoke cover), so she took to the air, hovering close above Ajax and scanning the battlefield. Scilde stood her ground the whole time, moving out of the way from the battle taking place, but not retreating closer to her trainer, either. Ajax was too busy and involved in the fight now taking place to notice, but a few lunges and Larry just might be able to grab the ice lizard if he timed it perfectly, or perhaps hurt her badly. Ajax might have speed and strength, but in this case his temper was against him. « [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Birdy//♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥Larry was a little worried when he saw that his opponent had chosen a Horsea, a Water type; super effective against his Ponyta. The Smokescreen clouded Ponyta's vision, making the horse Pokémon snort with frustration. The frustration turned to pain as the Bubble hit, the weak Water type move dealing a fair bit of damage on him. "Ponyta, you can do this! Use a Tail Whip followed by a Tackle!" Larry called, not wanting to use Ember since it wouldn't be very effective.
The Fire type nodded, tossing his mane; it was something of a habit to him. He knew where Weedy was, since he could both make out his outline where the like was shining through the black smoke, and tell where the Bubble had come from. The horse charged for the seahorse, using his Tail Whip as soon as he could see his opponent, which was when they were quite close. It seemed like his Tackle might actually hit, but who knew? It would either hit or miss, and Weedy could use the smoke to his advantage although the Tackle was still pretty accurate and the Tail Whip had probably lowered his defense stat.

► ”Yay! Yay~! I did it, just like you said!” Weedy cheered gleefully, hearing the Ponyta sort as the smoke obscured his vision and the bubbles hit his side. ”A-jay, A-jay, aren’t you so proud of me?” Twirling around in the smoke, he did a little dance of happiness. When he saw the Ponyta toss his mane, though, the Horsea got a little worried, backing up somewhat. ”Oooh, he’s coming, he’s coming!” He tried to skirt off to the side, but the Ponyta was faster, and as he cantered forward he whipped his tail threateningly, making Weedy’s defense go down. Realizing what the Ponyta was about to do, the sea horse darted upwards as fast as he could, but the Ponyta’s nose smashed into him, sending him flying backwards. Alarmed, the second the Ponyta hit, he used Smokescreen again, firing a good blast of jet-black smoke right at the fire horse as the collision sent him back. ”Owwwieee! I didn’t realize Ponytas were so…big!” he exclaimed, shedding a tear. «
► Ajax had sighed with relief when the annoying guy (Larry) didn’t comment on Weedy’s…strange behavior. At least he wasn’t making any more comments about Ajax being little. He watched closely as Ponyta gathered himself to strike, kicking the ground angrily when the sea horse didn’t dodge. He was even more annoyed when Weedy used Smokescreen, bellowing, ”You don’t use an attack without my say-so! Now you’ve gone and wasted a move for this turn!” The Horsea cowered and made an ‘I’m sorry’ expression, but Ajax didn’t care. Actually, it had been a good move on Weedy’s part, even if it had only been instinct—with the Smokescreen used when Ponyta so close, it was bound to have heavy effects on the fire-horse’s aim. ”Well, we’ll just have to use your stupid mistake to our advantage then. Get back into that smokescreen and use Water Gun!” «
► Weedy wilted a little as Ajax berated him, but hearing his final order, he straightened up again, determined. ”Sir yes sir, you’re the man, A-jay!” he positively chirruped and although his snout hurt from the Ponyta’s tackle, he dove right back into the smoke cover, firing a stout and solid Water Gun at his opponent when he was close enough. Meanwhile, Nyx noticed Scilde was still hanging around too close to the suspicious other trainer. She gave one sharp caw, causing Scilde to look up and circle closer to Ajax, looking a little disappointed she hadn’t been able to investigate further. «

Birdy//♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥Larry saw that Weedy wasn't dodging, and smiled as the Horsea was struck and accidently used a Smokescreen. "Aw, is the ickle baby gonna cry?" he teased, chuckling. His dæmon raised an eyebrow at him, and he smiled back at her. Larry then turned back to the battle, looking at how Ajax reacted and ordered a Water Gun. "You don't like that, little Pokémorph? Well, Ponyta, let's make it worse! Ember on the Water Gun!" he called.
Ponyta nodded, knowing that while Ember would be not very effective, it would hopefully stop the horribly effective Water Gun hitting him. The horse's vision was even worse now, since his accuracy had been lowered twice now. Still, it should be easy enough to do this since it didn't involve finding Weedy's whereabouts. As the Water Gun came close, Ponyta had his Ember fully prepared. He fired it, cutting the Water Gun apart. The attack didn't hit him, but it also fizzled out the Ember, too, so none of the two Pokémon were hurt on that turn.

► ”I – am – not – little!” Ajax snapped, and in his rage he reached outward with his claw and grabbed a good-sized branch of a nearby tree, about 4 centimeters in diameter, grasping it strongly with the pincer and then snapping the limb off violently, tossing it to the side of the route. Puffing his narrow chest, the Scizor ‘morph would have sworn when Ponyta deflected the Water Gun had he not been raised in a courtly society. As it was, he didn’t actually know any true swears, so he was reduced to kicking the ground and spraying dirt forward. Steam hissed as white haze was added to the black smoke when the fire and water collided, making the battlefield even more clouded up. ”Weedy, get back in your Smokescreen and stop acting stupid! Another Water Gun, this time at the back where he can’t deflect it!” «
► Weedy looked aghast when he was insulted by the other Trainer. Who…who was this? Who could do this?
He stole a glance and the Zigzagoon, fur ripped off in some places and full of abrasions as well as shiny burns. ”I’m fighting best I can, Ajax!” he responded, wilting a little. I…I’m acting stupid? I’m doing my best…I know you get mad, Ajax, but why? He closed his eyes and shook his head. I’ve gotta have faith in him. He rescued me from the trading center, after all. He chose me. Looking over at Ajax, he caught Nyx’s eye. The Skarmory-dæmon gave him a tiny nod, as if she knew what he was thinking. « ► Confidence rejuvenated, the Horsea made a playful face at Ponyta, ignoring the aching on his muzzle and dove straight into the smokescreen. He was much smaller, so it was quite easy to see the large horse in the smoke cloud, while it was far more difficult to find him. Taking a deep breath, he used Focus Energy to regain his bearings, then feinted to one side and sailed forward, still hidden by the smoke, towards the ground, shooting a powerful Water Gun that had bolstered by the Focus Energy towards Ponyta’s lower back haunch and underbelly. It was a little dangerous to be so close to Ponyta’s hooves, but the strengthened Water Gun would be so difficult to miss or deflect, too. « [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Birdy//♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥As his opponents lost and then regained confidence, Larry smiled. He thought in his mind, "Temper tandrums not allowed, little Pokémorph", since he knew that if he said it aloud there was a large chance that there would be bad concequences. Instead, he decided to attempt to guide his Ponyta through this. The Smokescreen and steam was fading quickly, just a few wisps left. This meant that Weedy and the two trainers would be fine for sight, but Ponyta had had his accuracy lowered twice, so still wasn't too good in that field. "Look out, behind you! Tackle!"
Ponyta turned around as fast as he could, but that was a mistake; he should have run. Instead, he ended up with a faceful of Water Gun. The Fire type did not find this pleasant at all, whinnying in agony. He darted backwards, giving himself a good run-up for his next move. The horse was feeling quite tired now, but wasn't giving up. He charged at Weedy in as strong a Tackle as he could muster.

► ”Yeeess! Weedy cheered as Ponyta made the mistake of turning around, making his attack even stronger than it would have been, which was decently strong already. He remembered his mistake from last time, though, and quickly got out of the way before he could be kicked by the fire horse’s hooves. Even though the smoke and the steam was melting away, the Horsea could still see the Ponyta’s eyes were somewhat bloodshot and clouded due the Smokescreens. Ajax didn’t know what Larry was thinking, and so he assumed that the Tsuasan grunt had been quieted due to the attack, not because Larry was using his better judgment. ”Ha! Take that! Same thing, Weedy!” «
► Readying himself, Weedy wiggled his snout as he saw Ponyta coming and decided to implement a little of his own strategy; once again, he closed his eyes and used Focus Energy, the red irises glowing a little once he reopened them. As Ponyta dashed forward in his Tackle, he took the opportunity to feint forward and then sharply to one side. While the Ponyta might have been fast enough to change course and complete the Tackle successfully, Weedy was able to complete the dodge due to the previous Accuracy-lowering, and when the Ponyta cantered strongly by he shot out a Water Gun at the horse’s side. He could tell immediately the Focus Energy hadn’t worked this time, but that was okay—at least his attack had been sneakily close range. I’m not stupid, A-jay! I’ll win this and get to the bottom of why you’re always so hasty and hurried and mad,
the Horsea vowed, concerned for his Trainer. « [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Birdy//♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥As much as Ponyta refused to believe it, he could see that he was weakening. He was a stubborn Pokémon, the sort who refused to loose, but that Water Gun sure did hurt. The water stung at his side, making him actually let a sound of pain slip through his lips. How could this have happened? All of a sudden, he wasn't hitting but Weedy was- and super effective, too! Larry snarled, not liking this either. "Come on, Ponyta, you're better than them! Tackle, and make it hit!"
Ponyta wasn't sure if he'd actually be able to make it hit, but he didn't like letting his trainer down and so obeyed him all the same. He was getting quite tired now, but felt that was no reason to give up. The horse added in a move of her own accord, too; a Growl, so that the super effective moves wouldn't be quite so effective. He then lowered his head and charged for Weedy as usual, this Tackle attack seeming another strong one. The question was, with his lowered accuracy, would he actually manage to hit?

► Smiling tauntingly at Larry when the Water Gun hit and the Tackle missed, Ajax pointed his claw at the Tsuasan grunt. ”Ha, I told you guys you should’ve kept your fat mouths shut! Not so confident now that Weedy’s beating your Ponyta, huh?” He folded his arms confidently as he spoke, apparently secure enough now to stop keeping his original defensive position. Nyx did not stop her constant vigilance, however; she stayed hovering, ready to dart forward if need be. ”This time, try dodging with the Water Gun!” he directed. Ajax might have felt that his strategy was repetitive in another situation, but he was too caught up in the moment now to care. «
► Weedy winced at the Growl. The drop in his Attack was slight, but it was a drop all the same. Also, while he was quite glad that Ajax was praising him rather than yelling at him belligerently, he worried that Ajax was beginning to underestimate his foes. The Ponyta looked pretty determined to make his next Tackle hit, and Weedy could see that the fire horse was focusing all of his energy onto it, even with the double Smokescreen obscuring his vision. Closing his eyes briefly and boosting himself with Focus Energy once more, Weedy faced the Ponyta, standing straight in the way of the oncoming Tackle until Ponyta was only about a meter away—far too close to dodge. Sucking in breath, he let out a sturdy Water Gun as close to Ponyta’s face as possible. «
► The Horsea had planned to use Water Gun at a bit of an angle, so the force of the Tackle and Water Gun combined would push him into the air and away from any attacks, but the Focus Energy had made the Water Gun too strong. Instead of flying slightly upward, he whirled straight backward, slamming into a tree. ”Yowie!” So the Tackle hadn’t hit, but he had sustained the same amount of damage anyway. At least the Ponyta had hopefully been hit by the Water Gun, which would do decent damage due to the Focus Energy and being super-effective. Using these thoughts to console himself, Weedy shook his head, trying to clear the temporarily dizziness as Ajax began to rage again and Nyx refrained from shaking her head. «

Birdy//♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥Ponyta neighed in truimph as Weedy pushed himself smack into a tree, but the Focus Energy had meant that the Water Gun was a critical hit- and from so close up, there was little chance of him dodging. He was struck, and collapsed, breathing heavily. He struggled to get up, determined spirit meaning he wasn't able to accept defeat. He let out an Ember attack as he felt himself slipping into unconciousness through the effort of standing, the weak attack moving towards the Horsea as Ponyta's eyes closed.
Larry stood there, mouth open in shock. "I... lost?" he gulped, horrified. How was this possible? He'd caught a shiny! {You can't win every time, Larry.} his dæmon pointed out as the grunt returned the horse. Larry snarled in anger, kicking the fainted Zigzagoon's cage in anger. "You aren't getting the Pokémon, though! I'm not letting the boss down! You'll... you'll have to snatch it from me first!" he said, lifting the cage and running off. He wasn't moving too fast thanks to being weighed down. If Ajax was quick enough, he could grab the poor Zigzagoon and hide in a bush or something before taking it to a Pokémon Center. After all, who knew what horrible things Tsuasa would do with it?

► ”Weedy! Just when you were doing so well!” Ajax yelled, until he looked back at the Ponyta and noticed—the firey horse was struggling on the ground, shooting a fairly frail Ember attack at Weedy before its muzzle finally hit the dust. The other guy seemed to be in shock—just what Ajax wanted. ”HA! Take that, loser!” Styl blinked, the crest on her head standing straight up with surprise. She had expected the grunt to have another Pokemon. Weedy had cleared his head of the dizziness, easily rolling away from the Ember attack due to the slow, weak movement of the assault. The flames spluttered and died on the tree’s bark. ”You won, Weedy, you won! Awesome job! I take back all the stuff I said!” Ajax grinned joyfully, dashing over to pick up the seahorse and spin him around, while Weedy grinned back and nuzzled his Trainer, attempting to ignore the huge lump that was forming on his head from crashing into the tree. «
► However, Ajax froze and turned his head at Larry’s words, all the anger returning. ”Hey, wait, Slowpoke-slop. Don’t you dare run away; you lost fair and square, now you turn yourself in and let that Zigzagoon go!” Weedy jumped with surprise as he was returned to his Pokeball so abruptly it was almost rude, Ajax shoving the capsule in his pocket as he dashed after Larry. Nyx, who had been waiting for something like this to happen, grabbed Styl and Scilde by the scruffs of their necks, zipping off after Ajax, still as a Skarmory. Scilde only wriggled uncomfortably for a few moments before dangling and watching the chase with large eyes, but Styl twisted her small body, trying to claw and peck Nyx’s talons to no avail. She even attempted an Ember, with a dangerous glare from the dæmon she swallowed the fire in her throat and slumped mutinously, watching Ajax’s pursuit. «
► Even though each of the Ajax’s strides were half of that of Larry’s, there was no doubt that he truly had the speed of a Scizor. His head became a red blur, wings whirring behind him as he zipped swiftly towards Larry, catching up to the cage-weighted man with ease. After all, this was what he had been created and trained for all his life—catching potential thieves and assassins, getting to the Prince as fast as possible, no matter where he was. As soon as he was near enough (which was fairly soon) he flicked out his claw and snatched at a bar of the cage, coming to an immediate halt and accelerating backwards with all the momentum he had gain in his sprint towards Larry, hoping to yank the cage out of his grip and then put as much distance as possible between himself and the grunt. Since Larry was running forward, a sharp movement would probably be just the thing to open the human’s grip. In another age he might have even jumped the guy but…mistakes too drastic to be forgotten camped at the edges of his consciousness. «
► Nyx flew at a close distance, although above the treetops, nodding as she observed Ajax’s plan of attack. She only worried if the method was so effective that he’d simply end up ripping a couple bars out from the cage instead of actually grabbing it away. «
Ooc:// Does Weedy gain any levels?

Birdy//♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ooc// Oh! Weedy gains two levels.
ic// The grunt wished that he hadn't hung in the battle long enough for Ponyta to faint, since otherwise he would have been able to make a fast getaway on the horse's strong, speedy back. He felt a tug at the cage on his arm. Glancing back, he saw Ajax wrench it from his grasp, making him gasp and stumble. How on earth had he managed to get to him that fast? His dæmon hissed in hatred, while he glared at the Scizor 'morph, reaching for the cage again.
"Hey, you can't do that? How...?" he was in a little shock, making another lunge for the fainted shiny Zigzagoon. He was finding it hard to take it from the 'morph, since he was so fast. "You don't know how important that Pokémon is to Team Tsuasa! We need its DNA for more Pok- Argh! Shut up!" he yelled, at the last words extremely annoyed with himself for letting that slip. He hit himself on the head, making a last attempt to grab the cage. Ajax was just too fast, and he realised that now, running off rather than facing what was coming to him.
