ooc// Lol, just realised that Cyndaquil are actually supposed to learn Tackle, not Scratch. Let's just pretend that all the previous Scratches were Tackles, shall we?
ic// Cyndaquil's smug smile was wiped right off it's face as the smoke thinned, then faded into the air altogether, revealing Wingull in plain sight. The problem was that if Cyndaquil could see Wingull, then Wingull could see Cyndaquil. Mark seemed to be fine with this. He didn't really feel the need to use Smokescreen again, for that would only force Wingull to rise annoyingly above it again. "Leer, Cyndaquil!" he cried. Cyndaquil's eyes were suddenly cold, daunting, scary, as they attempted to lower Wingull's Defense.

Wingull shivered a bit, slightly unnerved by the Leer. "Stay strong, Wingull!" Ichigo encouraged. "Get in close and use Water Gun at close range, then get out of there before you can get hit." Wingull folded her wings and dove straight down, releasing them before hitting the ground. She released another jet of water, and flew back up as fast as she could.

Cyndaquil cried out in pain as it was struck hard by the strong jet of water, knocking it onto it's back. It hurt! The fire mouse snarled as it twisted over to face Wingull, wincing a little as the movement caused more pain in it's already burning muscles. Cyndaquil didn't even wait for it's trainer to give an order, it simply ran in a circle to gain momentum, then pushed off from the ground with as much force as possible, racing towards Wingull in a Tackle.

Wingull wasn't very lucky; she didn't get out in time. Ichigo flinched slightly as Wingull cried out after the hit. "Don't give up! Try Water Gun one more time!" Wingull dove in quickly again, this time coming from the left side. Another jet of water followed.

Cyndaquil knew that Wingull would continue to inflict extreme pain. It knew that each Water Gun was super effective against the Fire type mouse. Cyndaquil didn't look so good; panting and sucking in great gulps of air, wincing every now and then as it knocked a tender spot. This Water Gun couldn't hit! Cyndaquil was determined not to be hit. It rushed to one, side, but Wingull simply angled it another way and it was it. It cried out, falling to the ground. It lay there, seeming as though the battle had been won by Wingull.

"You've got them on the ropes, Ichigo! Now's your chance to go in for the finishing blow!" Kizu encouraged from his shoulder perch. Ichigo nodded and returned her focus to the battlefield.
"Alright, Wingull, one last Water Gun should finish it off!" she decided. Wingull flew straight down, then quickly changed course and attacked at an angle.

Cyndaquil moaned, trying to run out the way. Being tired, it stumbled a fair amount, and so didn't get very far. The fire mouse tripped and landed on it's face, then had a large torrent of water gush down on it. Cyndaquil squealed and stuggled with it's last efforts, then fell silent and still.
Mark sighed. Well, he couldn't win every time, and chances against a Water type weren't the best of odds. He returned Cyndaquil to it's Pokéball in the usual burst of red light, then smiled at Ichigo. "Hey, thanks. That was fun. Well done, you were brilliant!" he congratulated Ichigo, offering him a friendly hanshake.Wingull gains two levels!

"Thanks; I had fun!" Ichigo answered with a faint smile. "You're pretty good yourself!" Kizu had a proud look on his face; he was glad that she won. Wingull circled and perched on her other shoulder, cooing softly.
"Well done, Ichigo," Kizu congratulated. Ichigo returned the handshake, pleased with her results. She knew that the most important part of battling wasn't winning or losing; it was meeting new people and making friends.

Mark grinned. "Thanks. Hm... you know what time it is?" he wondered, looking about the room before his eyes stopped at the clock mounted on the wall. It was a little before half twelve. Mark's eyes widened, and his daemon, still in Starly form, became a Magikarp and flopped on the floor helplessly, before becoming a Poochyena and playing dead. Mark grinned a little, but still looked worried. "Sorry, pal, but I'm late for class! You don't have lessons for a bit; you should go catch some Pokémon! See you around!" he called, racing down the corridor, his daemon a Starly again as she flew frantically in front of him.
