Character
Name: Aisa de Garde
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Pokemorph: Gardevoir morph
Appearance: Being a hybrid of Human and Human-Like pokemon, Makes it hard sometime to tell what part of Aisa is human and what is not. Her hair is a bright green, and grows to just past her ears before it stops. It falls naturally into a curve, longer at the front and shorter at the back. Her fringe does the opposite, with the middle growing to be longer than the sides. Her eyes are a bright red and quite round. Aisa’s ears end in three points. Her hands are a strange shape, for she has only three fingers, missing the outer ‘Pinkie’ finger on both the left and right hands.
Aisa only ever wears a halter type tope, in a bright green, and a wide Green Belt. Thanks to her pokemon features, people rarely realize that that is all she is wearing. She does sometimes wear a pair of elbow length white gloves with green and cream trim. When not wearing them, the gloves are looped through her belt. She keeps her few positions in a small bag attached to the same belt.
Coming in at 5 foot 4 inches, Aisa is taller than average for a Gardevoir, though she’s on the small end of average for a human. Having finished growing, Aisa is starting to fill out, becoming quite curvy, with a small waist, and well sized Breasts and hips, turning her into the hourglass shape considered the proper shape for many woman.
Aisa’s skin is two different colours. At first glance she seems to mostly be a pure white colour, a shade that does not burn or tan, unlike the pinkish skin of a true human. However her arms and part of her breasts are covered in a pale green. This shade runs from the tips of her fingers up to her shoulders, and down over both breasts. The white skin runs over the inside of both arms, threw her armpits and down to join the white skin under her breasts. The white also covers her face, running down the neck, to end just above her breasts.
Both the most and least obvious of her pokemon features is her ‘skirt’. Actually a part of her body, it resembles the skirt of a ballgown, falling from her hips in a length that brushes against the floor. The out side of this skirt is white but the inside is green. Her long slender legs are the same white colour as the outside of her skirt.
Unless you pay careful attention, Aisa shows no sign of the large horns that Gardevoir shows. This is because on Aisa, the hyper sensitive horns are only a few millimeters high, and well hidden, the front horn between her breasts and the one along her spine being covered by her top.
Personality: Left to herself, Aisa is a very bubbly girl. Unfortunately she harbors a deep distrust of humans, and rarely acts normally around them. Usually she comes across as either painfully shy, or extremely aggressive. Aisa seems to be herself around small children though; she seems to consider them as something completely different to an adult human. To the few adults she does trust, she is extremely loyal. Of course right now that list consists of a single person.
When not having to worry about when the people are going to come and take her away for experiments, Aisa is the type to paint her walls random colors and then sit and stare at them for hours. Usually very happy, it takes a lot to get this girl down. She doesn’t seem to fear anything, other than humans, and will go up to the biggest scariest looking pokemon, and pat them on the head.
Aisa has a terrible sense of Direction, often getting lost one even the shortest of trips. She’s easily distracted, and has a love of Shiny objects…. This also applies to pokemon. More than once she’s been hurt because she was paying more attention to the shiny object than to what she was doing.
Extremely empathic, Aisa often mirrors the feelings and moods of those around her. Her powers are strong enough that she picks up, not just the general, prevailing mood, but all the little underlying moods as well. What little time she has spent outside the lab and its psychic dampeners, has been spent in the company of dark types… And so Aisa has very little control over her abilities, having never needed to try and keep them reined in. As a result, Aisa can be overwhelmed by the emotions she feels. Khai can shield her form this somewhat, but not enough.
History: Aisa is the result of an experiment by a man, One who is best described as a mad scientist, by the name of Saarkay. Her mother was a Gardevoir, a test subject in an experiment to create Pokemorphs a different way, By Injecting Pokemon with Human DNA. The Scientist believed that a Daemon was a weakness to a soldier, and believed that by reversing the process and turning a pokemon human, he would avoid the issues that come with daemons. Saarkay was more than a little bit mad, but not evil, He hoped that creating a race of warriors without Daemons, It would allow for fights to occur with fewer casualties, since the daemon dies when the human dies and the reverse is also true.
The Scientist failed to check his test subject properly, and the DNA affected not only the Gardevoir, but the unborn child within her. For the particular Gardevoir he chose, was one of the Breeding team, rather than those slated for experiments. For all intents and Purposes the Experiment was a complete success, turning the Gardevoir part human, without her gaining a Daemon. The failure of the experiment only became clear when the now partially human pokemon, gave birth. For the child was half Gardevoir, Half human, and had a Daemon, Placing it squarely in the Human with pokemon features Category, rather than the Pokemon with human features category.
It was immediately obvious that there was something wrong with the daemon, For it only ever changed between Abra, Kadabra and Alakazam. Saarkay theorised that the pair represented the Dichotic nature of the Psychic power. The Ralts evolution line represented psychic power by Emotion, while the Abra line was Psychic power by logic.
He named her Aisa. From birth until she was five, she lived with her mother and the other Ralts evolutions in the breeding colony. She grew at a human’s pace, and so was soon outstripped by the children born to the other colony members. Every few months Saarkay took her out of the colony and ran some tests on her and her mother. During these years, her mother gave birth to two more children, both of whom were also monitored closely, a younger sister who was more ralts than human, and a brother who was more human than ralts.
It was when she was five that the company that sponsored Saarkay found out about her and her siblings. They were immediately rounded up and taken away to another set of labs. Aisa never saw her mother or siblings again. Nor did she ever see Saarkay, the man who had been the closest thing she had to a father figure.
Aisa found herself in a large lab, Locked into a small cage that had just enough room for Khai if he was in his Abra for, but not any of his others. The new scientists feared what would happen if Khai were allowed into his most powerful, Alakazam, form.
The pair were subjected to many, often painful tests. Variations in food confirmed that while Aisa was omnivores, she did best when her diet consisted of Berries, fruits and vegetables. Other tests were designed to see how much pain she could withstand, how well she could control her psychic abilities or how far she could be separated from Khai before they both blacked out. That last had the unexpected side affect of every time they did the test, the pair got a little further apart before they blacked out, the end result of which being that the pair can get almost 25 meters apart, a lot further than a normal pair their age.
Aisa and Khai went through almost eight years of this, before they managed to hatch an escape plan, and actually pull it off. It was Aisa’s 13th birthday, and they were being put through a particularly painful test, involving testing the pair’s ability to withstand dark type moves. Aisa managed to convince the Mightyena and Umbreon that were being used, to target the restraints that held her instead of her directly. The pair agreed with minimal fuss, and their combined attacks freed the Gardevoir Morph.
Together with her new friends, Aisa freed Khai, Blasted a hole in the wall of the lab, and escaped. It turned out the Mightyena and Umbreon, were a mated pair, taken from the wild and forced to participate in the tests in much the same way Aisa and Khai were. They introduced themselves and Yena and Bren. Amusingly Yena was the Umbreon and Bren the Mightyena.
The next three years the Four stayed together, Yena and Bren teaching Aisa and Khai much about survival and the world in general. The dark type pair also helped Aisa to get over her fear of humans… A fear which was perfectly understandable when you considered her previous experiences with them had pretty much universally involved her in large amounts of pain.
It was Yena and Bren who found out about the trainers school, listening in to a pair of Newbie trainer who were passing through their territory. And they convinced Khai that it would be good for Aisa to learn about the Human side of her heritage, for she had learnt all that they, as dark types would be able to teach her. If she wanted to learn more about being a Gardevoir, she would need to find a Psychic type.
Aisa was initially very resistant to the idea of leaving the safe little world they had made for themselves. It wasn’t until Bren told her she would always be a welcome member of the pack that she began to consider it. In the end, it was Yena telling her she need to go and find a psychic pokemon, and Khai’s insistence that she needed to learn about humans, that convinced her to go. Though she still thought it was a very bad idea.
Her entrance to the human world was a tough one, with several trainers mistaking her for a normal Gardevoir, and trying to catch her. It took Khai beating the trainers over the head, quite literally, for them to work out that Aisa wasn’t a pokemon. Fortunately He was aided in this by another trainer, one who had been watching form the sidelines, and came to help when it seemed his fellows weren’t getting the idea.
The young Man Introduced himself as Talon, and his Absol Daemon as Sola. It was Talon’s concern for her that finally convinced her that maybe; just maybe, this wouldn’t be so bad after all. It was Talon who bought her the few items of clothing she actually wears, and Talon who eventually brought her to the Academy. It was Sola who came up with Aisa's last name, a referance to the fact that most of her family are Gardevoir.
Career: Student
The Daemon
Name: Khai
Favourite Form/s: Alakazam
Appearance: Khai appears as a completely ordinary Alakazam, except for two things. The armor-like plating on both his upper and lower body, rather than being the purplish brown of a normal Alakazam, is a deep black in colour, and the spoons that most Alakazam hold are bent around his wrists in a bracelet type fashion.
Personality: Khai is Aisa’s opposite in more ways than one. While his human’s Gardevoir half exemplifies the emotional, subtle side of Psychics, Khai is the coldly logical, power and Brute strength side. His trust is not easily earned by anybody, and he tends to be rather overprotective towards Aisa. Even though he can get a great deal further away form Aisa than a normal daemon can from its human, he rarely does so, Preferring to be as close to her as possible…. Likely a side affect of having been trapped in separate cages for several years. He feels extreme guilt every time he fails to protect Aisa from her powers.
