Maeve smiled as the pokeball pinged to show she'd caught the poochyena. "Well.... This sure has been an interesting day" She looked up at the now almost completely dark sky. She sighed "Looks like we're staying here for the night" Maeve set her bag down on the ground and pulled out a sleeping bag. "Luca? Amel? Would you two go find some sticks and branches so we can start a small fire? I'd like to talk to poochyena a bit before Dinner and bed."
The Ralts and Nincada nodded ~Ok~ ~Of course~ the two walked over to the nearby bushes and began pulling out sticks and dragging them back to here Maeve had put her sleeping bag. Kemedo joined them, though Tamala stood nest to Astralon and watched Maeve.
The coordinator looked at the pokeball, and hoped that this would go better than the last time. She still wasn't sure what she was going to do with that pidgey, but for now she had something more important to deal with. She clicked the release on the pokeball, and a beam of red light formed the poochyena. The black and grey canine shook himself vigorously to get rid of the strange feeling of having been inside the pokeball, and then looked up at the woman who had captured him.
The two stood and stared at each other silently for a long time, Before poochyena bowed his head. ~You'll do~ He barked. Maeve Smiled when her espeon daemon translated "Well that's good." She looked thoughtful "You'll need a name...." green eyes flicked form side to side as she thought of a discarded a dozen or so names int he space of a few seconds beofre settling on one she thought the dark type canine might like "What about Nero?" Poochyena thought about for a time and then nodded, It was a good name.
"Alright" She waved and the rest of the team came over to greet the newest member. "Tamala is the pylenti, Kemedo is the electrike, Amel is the Nincada and Luca is the Ralts" All of the pokemon nodded, though Luca did so from her hiding spot behind Maeve's leg. "We also have Hain the Pidgey, But he's currently in 'Time Out' for Bad behaviour" A frown crossed her face again, she was forgetting something, she was sure of it. "I'm Astralon and the human is Maeve" The espeon daemon realised that Maeve had forgotten to introduce herself and shook his head. Some days he thought she'd forget her own head if it wasn't attached.
Maeve just smiled and pulled a small bag of pokemon food out of her bag. There was just enough for everyone to have a meal now and another tomorrow morning. Hopefully they'd reach the next town and she'd bee able to buy some more supplies. Maeve hadn't expected to end up with a full team so quickly.
Keme and Nero shared one bowl, Tama and Amel another, and Luca sat in Maeve's lap as they all had dinner. When they were done, Maeve gathered the sticks into a proper place for a fire, and turned to Tama "If you would?" The pylenti nodded and launched a weak ember to start the fire. Once the fire was crackling happily, and the pokemon were ranging around it in various stages of sleep, maeve packed up all of their things and started to get ready for her own bed. Luca was already curled up inside her sleeping bag, apparently deciding that the best place to sleep was with her trainer.

Along route two, all seemed quiet aside from the chirrping of Kricetot and the occasional cry of a Hoothoot or another night time Pokémon. One of these Pokémon, however, decided to play a little trick on Maeve. Well, more of a haunting than a trick. While the girl slept, it seemed to suddenly grow chilly. The dark, whispy clouds covered over the moon, and the Pokémon felt ready to make it's move.
A low moan krept into the ears of the sleeping girl, growing steadily louder until it would be enough to wake her and her Pokémon. In response to the moan, a sorrowfully, spine-chilling, soulful howl of dispair called from the trees. Dark figures darted about between the trees, never remaining for long enough for Maeve to see what they were, and accompanied with them were whispers. Rasping, inaudible, human whispers.

The fire had burned down to mere embers and the light of the moon was eclipsed by dark whispy clouds as Maeve and her team were startled awake by a low moan. A sorrowful, Other Worldly howl echoed around them, and Maeve struggled to get out of her sleeping bag with Luca's arms wrapped around her neck. Upset and frightened, Astra's fur puffed out making the espeon daemon look at least twice as big as he normally did. Tamala let out a low hiss as she did the same thing, with the addition of the flames on her back getting larger and bringing to crackle rather ominously. Keme and Nero stood side by side, a howl coming form both canine pokemon beofre they settled into a low growl. Amel backed up untill he was standing beside Maeve, chittering quietly.
They all looked at each other, frightened. Eventually Maeve gathered her courage and took a step forward. In a strong confidant voice she said "Come out, what ever you are!" This strong confidant image, was some what marred by the fact that she was wearing her pyjama's and Luca, who was still hanging form her neck. The arm supporting the ralts, trembled slightly, but not enough to really be noticed. So much for the Coordinator's hopes of a nice sleep.

There was no reaction to Maeve's call. The unseen Pokémon making all this was now smiling, however. Well, I say no reaction- at first, anyway. The air grew cooler, freezing. Another howl rose, this time seeming to be nearby. The shadows grew in number, the whispers louder. They were nearly audible. Then a Pokémon's voice spoke, much like the whispers but audible. Maeve's daemon would be able to translate.
~Show myself... are you sure? You're scared, insolent child. I can see it... smell it... taste it. I like the taste of your fear, child... very well.~ the voice murmured. What looked like a Psybeam attack mingled with a Confuse Ray pounded the earth, forming a bright, strange fire of psychic energy. When it died down, a shape was standing there...
A Mistreavus. She smiled, eyes narrowing cruelly, as the whispers, shadows, and howls all went away. ~You like them? Well, you'll like me a whole lot more!~ she yelled, beaming a Psybeam at Maeve.

Maeve stared as a Misdreavus appeared in a rather spectacular display. Mentally Maeve noted down the entrance as something Luca might be able to use in contests. Then he caught what Astra was translating. Green eyes glared at the pokemon for moment, beofre going wide at the sight of a relativitly powerful psychic attack headed straight for her. She hunched over to protect Luca and whirled so the attack would hit her back, rather than the young psychic type.
The patter of swift feet could be heard, and then A rather heavy body landed on Maeve's back. A quite yelp could be heard, as Nero took the blow intended for the human, though, being a dark type, he took no damage for it. Maeve rolled with the weight pushing her down, Curling her body around Luca before surging up again to face the Ghost type. Quickly she put Luca down behind her, With Amel, Kemedo and Astralon all coming in close to surround the vulnerable Ralts. Tamala and Nero had both stepped up to stand in front of Maeve. Of all the pokemon, the Pylenti and the Poochyena were the two best able to fight the ghost type. Unfortunatly, nero's only offensive attack was Tackle, a normal type move that had no chance of affecting the ghost type.
The two looked at each other, before Tama took a step forward. ~Your Mine~ she snarled. A low growl came from the Pylenti as launched an Ember attack at it, using the weak fire type move to gauge her opponents skill.

Mistreavus watched as the foolish Pokémon rushed about to protect each other. A smirk crossed her face. How silly... when they would all fall when she was done. It seemed that the Poochyena was an able foe, but the girl wasn't fighting him agaist her. Perhaps he only knew Normal type moves. That made the Ghost type chuckle. She was much better than all these Pokémon, and she knew it.
Oh, so someone was actually fighting her? Wow, how amazing. Mistreavus watched the Pylentyl carefully, sizing her up. Hm... she seemed fairly strong, but was that just all looks? Mistreavus raised a whispy eyebrow. She doubted that Tama would manage to defeat her. As the Ember attack came towards her, she floated higher, and the attack flew harmlessly beneath her. This might be a tricky battle.
Mistreavus then prepared her attack. The gems around her neck glowed purple with energy, the same colour her eyes flashed before her mouth opened and she shot a beam of Psychic energy at Tama. This was a Psybeam, and another powerful one. Gee, this Ghost type wasn't cocky for nothing, was she?

Tama hissed as she was hit by the psybeam attack. The kitten would have to watch out for them, they hurt. Her lips pulled back as she snarled at the ghost, before she ran at it, jumping high to try and hit it with a bite attack. Being a dark type move, it had a type advantage over the fellow ghost type.
Maeve, Astralon and the other pokemon watched closely as Tamala battled the Misdreavus. Oh how they hoped that Ghost kitten would be the victor in this fight.

ooc// Oops, just realized, meant to be Psywave, not Psybeam. My fault.
ic// Mistreavus grinned a ghostly grin as she saw that her Psywave attack had worked a treat. Wonderful! If she kept using that move, the battle would be hers to win. She thought this before she saw Tama using a Bite. When she saw this, she realized that it might not be quite as easy as she had first assumed; Bite was much more powerful that Psywave, and it was super effective like her move. She was clamped by the cat's jaws, shrieking in pain as the attack struck her.
She needed to get Tama off her. To do this, Mistreavus acted quickly and used an attack; Astonish. This move was stronger than Psywave, and was super effective as it was.

Tama yelped and let go as she was hit by the astonish attack. By Arceus that hurt. The ghost cat fell straight through a tree branch and landed neatly on all four paws on the ground. Looking up at the grinning Misdreavus. For moment the Ghost Cat wondered if she could float like that, But then shoved that thought to the back of her mind to ponder on at another time. Right now She had to get that Annoying Ghost back for the damage she had just done.
The Pylenti's lips pulled back and she hissed at the Misdreavus. "Tama! Flame Wheel!" Maeve shouted from the sidelines. Tamala nodded, summoning the multiple balls of fire that made up one of her most powerful attacks. The kitten held it for a moment, Before launching the Spinning wheel of the fire type attack at the ghost.

Mistreavus could see the Flame Wheel coming. Her eyes went wide in alarm at the sight of it, and she knew that this would not be a good thing. She had learned about attacks, and from this knew that Flame Wheel was a fairly powerful Fire type attack. She attempted to dodge, but in her panic did this much too early and was struck by Tama's attack. A low hiss escaped her as she dropped close to the ground before wobbling back up.
Mistreavus snarled. She was mad right about now. The Ghost type wanted to get Tama back for that. Well, she would make sure that she did. The small Pokémon sent out another thin Psychic type attack; Psywave again.

Tama hissed and raced straight through a tree to avoid the Psybeam attack. It was a narrow escape, the Pylenti's tail disappearing through the tree right before it was struck by the psychic type attack. Mere moments after the other ghosts attack was done, the cat pokemon jumped out at Misdreavus, mouth open in another bite attack.
On the sidelines Maeve and the others kept their eyes trained on the two combatants. Despite the bad lighting of the late night hour, the attacks the two launched at each other were more than enough for the group to see by. Maeve hoped to every god and godess she knew that Tama came out of this in one piece, for that other pokemon was powerful and seemed ruthless.

Mistreavus felt Tama's jaws clamp down on her painfully, giving a long wail of pain. That wasn't the nicest of things to do to her, in her opinion. She was beyond anger now, as she shook the cat off her. Floating out of reach in case Tama decided to attack her again, the damage done to Mistreavus would be able to be inspected by her opponents. She was weakened now, with not much left in her. One, maybe two, attacks like that, and she'd be defeated.
Mistreavus knew this. Well, all the more reason to fight, no? The Ghost type fired her weak Psychic attack, hoping for a hit this time. The Psywave moved towards Tama swiftly, streaking through the air with it's faint purple-pink light.

As she was shaken off, Tama twisted neatly in the air, landing on all four feet. She hissed at the Misdreavus, lips pulled back to show her teeth. Before she could launch another attack, a psywave was thrown her way. The pylenti bit back a yowl as she was hit. Arcus damn that Misdreavus for having psychic type attacks. With a snarl, the cat like pokemon raced up a tree, before jumping off it, mouth stretched wide in another bite attack.

Mistreavus gave a hint of a smile as her Psywave attack hit Tama successfully. The Ghost type was pleased that she had managed to deal another blow on the Pylenti, but was a little anxious still to see how the cat and her trainer would retaliate. Mistreavus watched as a Bite came her way. Knowing how strong the attack was from personal experience, the Pokémon tried to dodge. Unfortunately, she was unsuccessful in her attempts and found Tama clamped down on her once more.
Mistreavus growl, using aggression to cover up her worry. She was fearful as to how much longer she could last. One attack, maybe? She didn't know. She did know, however, that unless she didn't get Tama off her soon, the battle would be over and the cat would gain the levels. She attempted an Astonish, hoping to get Tama off and cause her damage.
