The Glameow this time could guess at what was coming her way. Considering the fact that the last attacks had all been the same- Sand Attack, Tackle- she knew what was coming. Sand Attack. She moved swiftly away from the point Shae had thrown the sand, breathing a sigh of relief as she saw the sand shoot safely past the spot she was a few fractions of a second ago. However, in her relief, she'd forgotten about the Tackle attack bit. The next thing the proud cat knew, she was clambering to her feet from being sprawled on the ground. She had to stop to catch her breath; she was weakening. A few more attacks, and Shae might just win.
However, Glameow could attack back, of course. The Normal type cat mewed angrily, glaring at the fluffy fox. Just as Shae found that she didn't have many moves at her disposal, Glameow didn't either. She raced at the Eevee while she was still reasonably close, paw pulled back ready for a Scratch attack.

Shae completely missed the glameow's next move, and Vera's yelled instructions caused her to turn just in time to have the cat's scratch attack rake her other shoulder. The fox pokemon hissed in pain. But shook her head when Vera asked if she wanted to come back in. No, Shae was going to make that Glameow pay for hurting her and insulting her new sister. The eevee ran at the glameow in another tackle, forgoing the disabling attack she had previously used as a precursor.
On the sidelines Vera reached into her saddle bags, pulling out a potion. It was starting to look as if one of the pokemon would need it by the time this battle was through, though which one she wasn't sure yet.

Glameow smiled as she saw her Scratch work. Now, acording to her amazingly intelligent, failproof mind, Shae would use Sand Attack. It took her completely by surprise to see that the Eevee wasn't doing what she thought she would do. Hphm. This battle was just one blow to her ego after the other, and she wasn't too pleased about that. Baring her teeth, the cat nimbly dodged the Tackle.
Glameow knew that she didn't have much left in her. One hit, probably. Well, she thought it would be two or three, but that was because she was arrogant and thought she was better than anyone else. No, one attack, and she would go down. Glameow zipped forwards for another furious Scratch attack.

The Glameow's outstretched claws caught the eevee over one eye, and Shae let out a low hiss. If even one more attack landed she'd be done for. Shae barked a warcry and and started to run at the Glameow. She put all the energy she had left into this attack, running full pelt towards the cat pokemon. This had to work, had to hit, Otherwise she would loose as soon as the cat attacked once more.
On the sidelines, Vera bit her bottom lip as she watched. She hoped her hyper little eevee was going to come out of this alright. A glance at Kael told her that the Riolu was just as worried about his new friend. Jax had a snarl on his face when he saw the damage Shae had taken, but he also looked proud, for she had given just as good as she had taken.

There was, most likely, an awful lot of tension afoot for Vera and the others watching the battle. Glameow looked at Shae as she came nearer and nearer in a Tackle attack, knowing she should avoid this at all costs. Shae came closer and closer, and Glameow bent her legs, ready to spring to safety. She leapt- too later. Shae rammed into her, and she slammed into the ground, skidding a few feet.
Glameow didn't even cry out in pain. She didn't make a snide remark, she didn't even retaliate. The reason- she couldn't. She physically couldn't. The cat had fainted at last, and was unable to deliver the blow which would have defeated Shae.

Vera let out a sigh of relief as Shea hit the final blow and the glameow was knocked out. Had the other pokemon been any faster, it would have been her precious Eevee lying unconscious on the ground. "Well Done Shae!" Vera smiled down at her little fox. The eevee gave her a tired but happy smile, and Vera smiled back. "Come Here Little One". When Shae approached her, Vera gently sprayed the eevee's wounds with the potion, watching as they faded away. Vera smiled and ruffled the fox's fur a bit "Why don't you go be with Kael for a little bit? I've got some things I need to discuss with Jax and with Kinta"
Vera pulled two pokeballs out of her saddle bags. Hopefully in a few moments both would be occupied. The Tauric Arcanine morph hoped that Kinta would agree to travel with them, for she wished to learn more about this strange pokemon. And the Glameow, arrogant as it was could be a huge asset for her group once she'd got it properly tamed, and as a breeder she was rather good at taming pokemon and then helping them to reach their full potential.
"Well?" She looked at the Kinta "What do you say? Want to come along?" She held out the pokeball to the combination egg/bird pokemon. "I promise I'll let you out quickly". No matter what Kinta said or did, she would then move closer to the Glameow and toss the other pokeball at the fainted cat.

Kinta looked at the Pokéball, thinking. It weighed the possibilities of this over in it's mind. This trainer was kind and would make it strong. On this route, it could still become strong. However, it supposed that it would be easier to be strong with a trainer. Yes, Kinta would like that. It would meet new friends, too. Kinta's decision had been made, in that case. The Pokémon smiled, nodding. It touched the Pokémon, which barely shook before announcing a successful capture.
The other Pokéball, meanwhile, absorbed the fainted Glameow with ease. The device shook gently, then more furiously as the cat became aware of what exactly was going on. Despite her efforts, in the end the Pokéball announced the second capture of the moment. Glameow now belonged to Vera, and she would most likely find it a challenge to tame this pussy.
Kinta and Glameow were caught!

Vera smiled when both pokeballs pinged to indicate a successful capture. Looking at the two, she hit the button on the one which now held Kinta. With a click, a beam of red light shot out of the ball, forming into the egg/bird pokemon. The kinta shook herself, before looking up at Vera ~well that was weird~ Vera smiled and reached out to the bird. The Kinta hopped into her hand, and was then placed on Vera's shoulder. "Do you have a name little one?" the Arcanine morph asked. ~No.... Should I?~ Kinta looked at the trainer curiously. "No no... Now what to name you..." Vera thought for a moment "How about Zoya?" ~Zoya~ The Kinta repeated. ~I like it!~ she announced.
Vera nodded and attached Kinta's pokeball to her bracelet. Then she looked at the other pokeball a worried expression entered her eyes before she shrugged "Here goes" She pressed the button, allowing the energy within to release, forming the Glameow she had just caught. ~Well, I see that you've manage to catch me. Don't think that this will mean I like you or your little band of freaks any better~ Vera growled, a sound that brought up images of a fully grown arcanine about to attack. The Glameow shivered, and Zoya fell of her perch on Vera's shoulders. Luckily Jax managed to catch the tiny bird, who curled up in his Arcanine form's ruff, shivering. Vera shot an apologetic look at the little bird, but she needed to deal with the Glameow before she could go an comfort her kinta. "I think I'll name you Amber little Glameow, and Now that that's done, I think I'm going to put you back into your pokeball until you learn some manners." She hit the button again, calling the cat pokemon back into her pokeball. Later on, when she made camp for the night, she would allow the cat out and maybe try and teach her some decent manners.
Jax snorted when Vera gave the glameow her name. ~Why do you laugh? Zoya asked. "Because, Amber was the name of a particularly obnoxious girl we met the first time Vera went on a pokemon journey, Though that Amber did turn out to be a nice enough girl in the end. I guess Vera's hopeing that this Glameow will turn out the same way."
Vera turned back to them "Sorry for scaring you like that Zoya" She offered the little pokemon her hand once more, and the Kinta accepted, having found she enjoyed the height that sitting on Vera's shoulder gave her. vera looked over her group. Kael and Shae had both moved up to stand on either side of Jax. The little Eevee looked tired, so Vera recalled her back to her pokeball, wating to give the young fox a chance to rest and recouperate after the battle, even though the potion she had used had fixed up all of the normal types wounds.
Adjusting the sling that held the sleeping Chiyo, Vera smiled and then placed one hand on Kael's head "Ready to go?" she asked. Getting a nod from Jax and Kael, Vera gestured for her Daemon and her started to walk on either side of her, as she began to make her way down the route once more.
OOC: How many levels did Shae get for defeating Glameow? I believe its One, But I just want to double check

ooc// Yep, it's one.
ic// Once again, Vera was not alone for long on Route One. Many Pokémon were braving the cold weather for food, but of course it was probably that the Pokémorph was seeing less Pokémon that other travellers did; a lot were in hibernation. Some Pokémon, the most common ones, were generally seen throughout the year, though.
As Vera passed unknowingly closer to a Sentret colony, the one currently on watch bellowed a loud warning call. This call was supposed to be a warning to other Sentret in the colony, but it was loud enough that neighboring Pokémon had learned to live in harmony near the Sentrets in return for knowing whenever danger was threatening. Some of the Pokémon, hidden of course, looked up in alarm, but relaxed when they saw that it was only a trainer or breeder or whatever.
The Sentret, being Sentret, scarpered down their holes. All except for one, though. One Sentret was abandoned. One Sentret was left behind. A weakling, deemed useless for the rest of its life. It would show them! It eyed the human, an idea popping into its head. It would beat her Pokémon. Then it would evolve into a Furret, and that would show the other Sentret who's boss! The Pokémon smiled, moving in and snarling at Vera in battle mode.
