Brian vs Sean

The judge stood ready, beside the centre of the battlefield. A strong Arcanine was at her side, ready to sort things out if it went wrong. She waved a flag and blew a whistle. "Let the battle commence!" she called.

Sean and Presta stood at one end of the arena, Sean holding Comet's pokeball. "Good Luck Brian" He called to his opponent as he threw the pokeball and the Ledyba appeared. "Go Comet!" he called as the bug type got ready to attack

"Same to you!" He said back. Yori was on his shoulder. Seeing the Ledyba, he was pretty sure he had this battle in the bag. he grabbed a pokeball, pressed the button, and threw it. Unleashing shiny red light. His Dookbi, Penelope came out. A pokemon only found in Enera. An Ice type, against a bug type. He was aware that type advantages sometimes mean nothing, but that really was not the case. They were both level 50, he had teh type advantage. However, Sean had the battle advantage. Brian was a Ranger! That was much to think about, but now, Penelope also stood her ground, ready for battle.

Sean looked at the Ranger, and the strange pokemon the ranger was using. He flipped open his pokedex to view it, ah it was a Dookbi. Oh no! Dookbi was an Ice Type, Ice was a stalemate with bug, but against flying Comet would have problems, but Comet was a strategist, as was the coordinator who trained him. Even now he was thinking how to beat the towel cat.

Okay, we need to go for speed he thought. "Comet use agility" The Ledyba shimmered as it's speed increased tremendously, "Now use a Comet Punch" He ordered and Comet flew forward towards the Dookbi, his hands flailing.

Brian was going to allow this attack to slide. "Ice Ball!" He shouted. Penelope did not move, but let out an Ice Ball, hrad, small, yet powerful. It was an Ice Type move of increasing power. Hopefully if Penelope was able to continually cancel out Comet's attacks with Ice Ball, this could give him an easy win!

Comet saw the Ice Ball shooting at him a bit too late, the Comet Punch connected with the Ice Ball and shattered it a bit, but it still felt like it's hands got frozen solid. "Comet" Sean screamed. "Use a supersonic" He called, a wave of sound came out of Comet's antennae, hopefully confusing the opponent. "Now use an agility" once again Comet gained speed so he could attack quickly and painfully

The Supersonic was effective more than brian would have liked. Penelope spun around, completely disoriented. She just drifted in circles. Brian began to panic when he noticed Comet was creating more velocity so he could jam into Penelope.
Brian had no choice, he let the confusion take its toll. The sad thing was, Ice Ball was still in effect. Penelope launched an ice Ball, about in Inch longe and wider thanthe last, but it was at least 5 feet away from Comet. Brian was just preying Comet moved towards it for no reason.

Sean was relieved when the Ice Ball was sent way off target. It was his chance to win before the confusion wore off of Penelope. "Now Comet, use a swift attack" Comet spread his wings and several stars shot out aiming directly at Penelope, thankfully this never missed, so it might just knock Penelope off balance, opening way for another good attack.

The Swift was right on target yet Penelope was only knocked off her feet. She tipped over but slowly stood up, shaking her head and dancing around like a drunken thug. She started to gain more conciousness but was still seing quadrouple vision. making her attacks haywire. She still felt tingly and off balance. But on the brigth side, she knew that there was a general area to launch an attack to. "Ice Ball!" Brian commanded, picking up Penelope's return-back-to-Earth state. She launched a small Ice Ball, slightly to the side of Comet, but it was still possible to hit.

Penelope seemed to not be too harmed from the swift, this wasn't good, she also seemed to be getting over confusion, that was even worse. "Comet" Sean called "Use a Silver Wind to blow the Ice Ball back" He commanded and the Ledyba did as he was told "Ba" He grunted as his wings beat fervently to bat the Ice ball back to it's source of origin.

Penelope's vision was still blurry, but she could see Comet almost perfectly, and she was able to dodge on her own ungracefully from the Ice Ball. "Iron Tail!" Brian commanded. This was a good Ledya, for a bug type. Penelope the Dookbi, dashed as fast as she could towards Comet, ready to pin around to whip him with her tail.

Sean saw the tail coming in time this time, so as Comet turned to avoid it Sean called "Bug Buzz" Ledyba's antennae quivvered again, sending another set of waves at Penelope, except these were meant to harm rather to hinder, unfortunately because he didn't avoid the Iron Tail Comet got sent soaring across the arena, this Dookbi was causing some problems.

The Bugg Buzz caused Penelope to take a few steps back so she wouldn't fall. But it wsn't very effective. " Ice Ball!" Brian shouted as Comet was still gliding through the air. It would be nice if he could get a win from this tournament. But he was a ranger, and his needs as a trainer were not dire.

Thankfully Agility had Comet buzzing at hi speed, but once again the Ice Ball nicked him as he tried avoiding it. Sean saw that the situation was getting dire, if one more Ice Ball hit him, this fight was over and he had lost this round of the tournament, it didn't help that nearly every entrant had a type advantage over Comet, but that's why he was so determined. Sean realized something he could do. "Supersonic" He called to the Ledyba, this had worked last time. But the same strategy would be expected. Comet's antennae buzzed sending the waves out again. "Now use Comet Punch" Comet shot straight at Penelope, this was a longshot strategy, but it was all he had left.

"Dodge it!" Brian commanded with a grin. It seemed they had the upper hand for now. Penelope dove out of the way of the Supersonic and had no choice but to launch an Ice Ball at Comet. Who was glided at her. The Comet Punch nailed her and she was sent back more roughly. She skidded into the ground, but she was still able to get up. The question of the moment, was if the Ice Ball hit. An Ice ball more powerful than the last one.
