The girl grinned wickedly, her daemon a smug cunning Glameow at her feet, licking a paw. "Well, there's no way I'd win anyway. May as well throw a little excitement in the pot, right?" she said. Hm, perhaps she wasn't as sweet and innocent as first thought. She turned her attention back onto the battle. Well, there wasn't really anything she could do now, was there? "Paril, try your best." she said simply.
The Pikachu's cheeks sparked, ready to strike, but inevitably Bonsly's attack would hit. That much was extremely clear. The mouse Pokémon cried out as a huge amount of force struck him, and was out before he hit the ground with a large cringe-worthy thud. The girl smiled sweetly, returning her Pokémon. "See? Well, I'm off. Bye!" she said, and that was that. She dashed off back to the school, leaving Cruurtun by himself in the grounds. The grounds filled with wild Pokémon to catch.
Bonsly gains two levels!

Bonsly sat down heavily, tired out. "Nice job, Bonsly," Cruurtun said, "Get some rest." He returned the Pokemon to his Pokeball, and put it away. "Come on, Azuril, Kila'na," he said, "Let's search for a new member of the team."
Cruurtun looked around for anything interesting.

Nearby was a single plant. For some reason, it grabbed people's attention. There was something not quite right about it... but what? It looked perfectly normal at first sight. A flower of some sort, or rather, a bud of a flower. However, it twitched. Was it supposed to do that? And then, as a gentle breeze blew other plants of it's size, it remained still. Something was different.
And then, it could be realized. It was not a plant after all. It looked about, appearing to be a Bellsprout. Noticing Cruurtun, it froze again. However, it then moved slowly forwards, hoping it hadn't been seen.

The Bellsprout had been seen, but Cruurtun was carefully avoiding giving any indication that he had seen the Pokemon. His other Pokemon were unaware of the Bellsprout, the Azuril bouncing up and down on his tail, while Kila'na padded along at her trainer's side.
Muukhuz yawned somewhat pointedly, drawing a sigh from Cruurtun. "OK, we'll rest here," he said, as Muukhuz sat down. Azuril cheekily bounced off Cruurtun's head, drawing a grunt of surprise from the Pokemorph. Kila'na growled at the Azuril scoldingly, causing him to stop bouncing and look contrite.

Bellsprout was about to hurry away, but paused. It had lived it's life so far without really understanding what humans were like, after all. It wanted to know what they did. All it knew was the common wild Pokémon steriotype; trainers were mean people who ran about enslaving poor Pokémon. This trainer, however, was allowing his Pokémon a rest. A rest? that wasn't the most usual activity for trainers, was it now?
Bellsprout moved closer. While many people wouldn't really want that species on their team, Bellsprout were in fact extremely useful to have. With the strong sturdiness of a Grass type through their evolutions, they could become powerful. In their current state, they were extremely nimble and able to dodge. Bellsprout indeed moved very quickly as it rushed over to Cruurtun, watching him and his Pokémon curiously from just a few metres away, in plain sight.

Cruurtun was tapping his claws on his breastplates, a habit he had picked up recently. He was watching the Bellsprout out of the corner of his eye, not commenting on it, or really paying any attention to the conversations of his Pokemon and daemon.
Azuril was enthusiastic about the last battle, bouncing up and down repeatedly as he spoke rapidly to Kila'na. Kila'na wasn't really listening, instead allowing the stream of words to fly over her head, as she instead drifted off towards sleep. Muukhuz was sitting quietly, smiling to herself over the antics of the two.

Bellsprout's eyes narrowed, annoyed. They were completely ignoring it! It knew they could see them, because it was out in the open, and they were ignoring it! How rude. Well, it could always walk away and send out an alarm call to keep anything else from coming near. It turned to do exactly that, but then realized something with a smile. It could take them by surprise, yes. That would be brilliant. It continued moving away, as if it would retreat.
However, then, without warning, it turned around and shot a large glowing orb at Azuril. This could be recognized as a Weather Ball attack; a powerfull Normal type move, without a doubt an Egg Move this Bellsprout was lucky to know.

Azuril squealled in fright, bouncing off his tail incorrectly and falling over, causing the attack to zoom past overhead. "OK, Azuril, answer with Swift," he said, as Azuril bounced back onto his feet. Azuril bounced off his tail, into the air, and a spray of stars zoomed from him, heading for the Bellsprout. Cruurtun was perhaps a little surprised at the way that the Bellsprout had initiated the battle; Weather Ball was a rare egg move, and he certainly hadn't been expecting the Bellsprout to launch a surprise attack like that. They had all been facing away from the Pokemon, except Azuril, of course, and he had been too focussed on Kila'na to notice anything.

Bellsprout were well known for their uncanny ability to dodge attacks, what with their thin, flexible bodies. This Bellsprout was no exception. It stood perfectly still, for it knew that with the poor Speed stat of a Grass type, it didn't stand so much of a chance dodging if it tried to move out the way. Bellsprout concentrated as hard as it could, it's thin stem for a body twisting, arching and curving in all different ways to avoid being hit. It even did a sort of handstand, turning over at the end to move to a differed spot and avoid about five stars. In the end, only one of Swift's stars hit.
Bellsprout was truly and extremely impressive Pokémon. What was more impressive was it's cunning. While it was dodging in that highly impressive display, it had thought up a good idea. Azurill would probably be watching how his attack was going, so that would be a good opertunity for a surprise attack. Towards the end of the dodging, Bellsprout used another Weather Ball attack, hoping to catch Azurill unawares.

The Weather Ball attack knocked Azuril backwards, sending the little blue bolo-like Pokemon tumbling. He ended up on his tail again, and bounced into the air, launching another Swift, then pulled off a quick Charm into the bargain.
Cruurtun winced as the attack hit, then smiled as the Pokemon simply bounced back up. Kila'na was watching the whole thing with a sort of sleepy interest, blinking owlishly.

Bellsprout was prepared, and began to twist, dodging the first couple of stars in the Swift attack. However, it then saw the Charm. It was distracted as it's attack power was lessened. This distraction also threw it off time for the dodging, meaning that it was hit by the Swift attack. It groaned in disappointment and anger, falling and then getting back to it's root like feet slowly. That was annoying.
Bellsprout then waved it's leaves. What could it possibly do? How much damage to Azurill would waving it's leaves cause? Well, right now, it was none. However, a split second later, vines shot out from those leaves. Ah. That's what damage it could do with those leaves. The vines shot forwards to give Azurill a good smack, in a Vine Whip attack.

Azuril didn't wait for orders, and fired a stream of stars, clearly hoping to hit the vines and Bellsprout. He dodged to the left, but was sent spinning as one of the vines smacked the side of his face.
Cruurtun winced, watching as Azuril got back to his feet, growling in annoyance.

Bellsprout saw the Swift coming. True, it was pleased that it's Vine Whip had been a successful hit. However, it had to act fast if it wanted to avoid being hit by the Swift attack again! Bellsprout drew in it's vines as quickly as possible, but it was too late. The first stars had already struck it, and the rest followed. Bellsprout was hit by the entire Swift attack, and it looked like it had weakened him a lot.
Bellsprout would not take this! No, this would not do! It would not be tossed around like a doll! It's eyes narrowed as it saw Azurill, the root like feet moving about so that the Pokémon might get a better shot. That done, it took aim and fired a Weather Ball right at Azurill.

Azuril saw this one coming before the Bellsprout even launched it, and bounced right over the attack, launching another Swift.
Cruurtun swiped at the air with his claws, his lips pulled back in a feral grin.

Bellsprout was annoyed that Azurill had dodged the attack, but not much could be done about that, really. It dodged about half the Swift attack before it lost concentration and was hit by the rest of the attack. Bellsprout was looking relatively weak now. It would just take a couple or so more attacks before it would faint and the battle would end.
Bellsprout wasn't giving up, though. It sent out more vines towards Azurill in another Vine Whip attack.
