ooc// I has decided, song titled threads are my theme!
ic// Sean rested a bit, so that (hopefully) Puck and Charlotta would be ready to fight foes in the jungle, because he knew that his new additions, Comet and Anne, would require a Pokemon Center for healing. When he stood back up, he turned to the Gardevoir Daemon beside him. "Dear, you ready for number two?" Presta smiled back at him "After this route, always" And they walked side-by-side into the forest.
Into the Unknown.

A fluttering of wings announced the arrival of another Pokémon. Two Pokémon were decending on Sean, but only one would he fight. The two Pokémon landed in trees either side of the path. The first Pokémon was a Pidgey, and it preened it's feathers slowly, a relaxed Pokémon who had a cheery, carefree nature. It hadn't seen Sean; it was too busy trying to get a spodge of mud out of it's lovely down.
The second Pokémon was a Starly. It, too, hadn't noticed the Sizor 'morph. It twittered, the pretty noise sounding a little nervous. However, the Starly did seem large and strong. They both looked to the sky, and though they were about to take off; they'd only be time to fight one of them. Which would Sean challenge?

Sean did see the two bird pokemon. Good. Bird pokemon were among his favorites. He decided on the Starly, they were a crowd favorite. Charlotta wouldn't be a good bet in this situation, but Puck would do just fine. "Go Puck!" He called as the pokeball exploded in a flash of light. "Covet on the Starly" The Cleffa did as he was told, the last battle had turned out wonderfully and he had no reason to doubt his trainer now.

Pidgey flew off, as predicted. However, Starly clicked it's toungue, pleased at the offer of a challenge that was being presented to it right now. Good, it loved challenges. Spreading it's wings wide, it soared easily over the top of the Covet attack, before swooping lower, diving down in a Tackle attack. It didn't look like it was too strong; the Flying type was simply testing Puck's strength.

"Puck, dodge it" Sean commanded and the pink pokemon did just that. "Now, Sing" Sean plugged his ears, as did Presta, as Cleffa began to sing a hypnotic song that would hopefully put Starly to sleep.

Starly listened to the song, it's hypnotic rhythm making it sway gently. That was a pretty sound, it was. Puck was a good singer. He should enter Britain's Got Talent or the X-Factor. Starly's eyelids drooped, and opened as he realized. Whoops, almost fell asleep there. Silly. Well, he was awake now!
No he wasn't. His head drooped as his eyes closed, breaths deep and regular. Starly was asleep!

Sean smiled, this was going perfectly. "Now Puck, use a Pound quickly" Sean knew very well that Bird pokemon didn't sleep long due to their abilities most of the time being Early Bird. Puck lunged at the starly with it's feet out, hoping to get a good hit in before the bird type woke up.

Starly was struck by the Pound, of course, and it swayed. Ouch, that must have hurt the poor bird. Well, no time to feel sorry for it; it was stirring. However, it muttered something, before dozing on. Phew. Starly was still asleep, but for how long? It seemed like the next attack might wake it up; that is, if you acted quickly, because otherwise there might not be enough time to get in another attack.

Sean marveled in his luck, he'd get an attack before the Starly woke up. A Pound could be avoided by chance but Covet couldn't be as easily. "Covet now Puck" The Cleffa nodded and sent the hearts out again at the Starly in an effort to hit the bird before it awakened.

Starly stirred again as the hearts were still in dodging distance, but, thankfully, still slept. It wouldn't be long, however. The hearts shook the bird's form, and then, at last, it woke up about halfway through the attack. Woah, it felt oddly as if it'd experienced pain. And why was a Covet hitting it? And what was a trainer and Cleffa- then it all came back. Oh no! It much have falled asleep from the Sing! Oh, dear. There was no telling how many attacks it had endured, but thankfully it's sleeping would mean it would have lost less energy, but it still ached!
Starly twittered furiously at Cleffa. ~Oh, I'll get you for that, puffy!~ it yelled, lunging into the air and swooping quickly towards Puck in a Tackle attack.

Sean has learned in the last battle how best to handle Tackle attacks with Puck. "Now, Charm" Puck made a ridiculously cute face as he had done with the Mareep, hoping to drop Starly's attack enough to not get hurt much from the Tackle. "Now Covet" The Hearts again flew at Starly, he'd need to change strategy a bit though, he was being redundant and that was easy to block.

Starly squeezed it's eyes shut, knowing how Charm went about affecting Pokémon. However, it couldn't help itself but look. Oh, dear. It felt it's attack slip away, but thankfully not quite as much as the large amount which would have been lost otherwise. It gave a little chatter, a flutter of it's wings, and then it launched itself into the air, wind ruffling it's feathers. Thanks to the target's sudden change in whereabouts, only half the Covet struck, too.
Starly would have smiled but for it's beak. Picking up speed, it then shot forwards quickly in a strong Tackle attack.

Sean knew that Aerial Tackles were next to impossible to block from the sky. He had watched plenty of contests on TV to learn good coordinating strategy. But it would be better to attack from ground level with a physical attack, so that Puck wouldn't fall as far in a collision. "Pound" He ordered and Puck jumped up and tried hitting the Starly in a collision, but a bad aim would end in a lot of pain for the Cleffa.

Starly was thrown by the Pound to the ground, obviously unable to continue with the Tackle attack in it's present state. That had hurt, as one would expect. Puck was proving to be a serious challenge, despite his size and looks; he'd even managed to knock the bird out of the air! That took strength. Well, Starly had that! It was strong, and tough! The bird was, however, weakening from all the attacks that had hit. Another one or two attacks would probably even finish this.
However, Starly was still determined not to give up. Sweeping back up into the air, he flew so that his claws barely missed brushing along the ground, speeding quickly in a Tackle. It couldn't be called an aireal Tackle, it was more a case of using wings because they were faster.

Puck had been expecting another Aeriel Tackle though, and got hit by the speeding Starly, his side was starting to get hurt a bit too much for his liking. "Puck, Pound" Sean called, it would be good to hit it head on again, that had worked before.
