Pokéball
The most basic capture system. It will catch most weak, fainted Pokémon, but struggles with awake or stronger Pokémon.

Great Ball
A more advanced Pokéball. It can catch stronger Pokémon and low-level, awake but weakened Pokémon, but still has difficulty with the strongest and some awake Pokémon.

Ultra Ball
This is has an extremely good catch rate, and is able to catch even the highest level Pokémon so long as they are fainted.

Master Ball
The greatest Pokéball ever made. It will catch any Pokémon without fail. Few have been made.

Cherish Ball
A rare Pokéball made to celebrate some sort of event. It has a better catch rate than normal, somewhere between a Great Ball and an Ultra Ball.

Dive Ball
A Pokéball which has a normal catch rate when used in regular conditions, but has a catch rate somewhere between a Great Ball and an Ultra Ball when used on Pokémon from the sea.

A Pokéball which has a normal catch rate when used in regular conditions, but has a catch rate somewhere between a Great Ball and an Ultra Ball when used at night or in caves.
