Hawk sprayed the Potion onto Ace, his starter, as the group advanced along into the forest region of Route Two. Salia, Hawk's daemon, trudged behind in a Luxray form, looking around slightly. Meanwhile, the Pokemorph in question looked at the egg he held critically.
"So guys, what do you think will be in the egg?" Hawk asked.
"I'm hoping a fellow Flying type!" Ace said, with a smug look as he observed the forest from his perch on Hawk's shoulder.
"Somehow, I doubt it will be. But shall we press on?" Salia commented.
"Alright." And so the group continued forward.

While the question of whether or not the Pokemon in the egg was a flying type remained unanswered. The more pressng question would have been of the nature of the large tree following the group through the forest. This tree seemed to be interested in Ace. Pidgeys were very common, but not one that followed a Pidgeot-Person. But another sound could be heard in front of Hawk A screeching sound as a Skarmory landed. The Tropius gave it's own howl, and both of the Flying types seemed ready to fly off, not wanting to battle each other. So Hawk only had time to go after one of them, which would it be.

"Woah, a Skarmory and a Tropius!? Alright, which one which one... Ace, Air Slash Skarmory!" Hawk shouted, holding the Pokemon Egg in his arms carefully. With a quick flap of his wings, Ace shot at the Skarmory and launched a slice of air from his wing at the Steel/Flying type Pokemon.
"Hawk, are you mad!? That thing is resistant to almost all Ace's moves!" Salia shouted.
"He can do it, I know it." The Pokemorph replied.

The Tropius flew away, not wanting to get in the way of the Metal Bird's victory, even it knew not to mess with a Steel/Flying type. Skarmory was intrigued by the small Pidgey charging at it. How cute. The Air Slash pinged against the armor. It may not have hurt tremendously, but it did annoy the Skarmory. It glared at Ace with a Leer Attack, this would make it vulnerable to Skarmory's attacks.

"Ace, use Sand Attack and make it fly faster with a Gust!" Hawk ordered as the Pidgey got hit by the Leer. The smaller bird then kicked up sand and with a flap of his wings, launched it at the Skarmory, accompanied by a strong wind.
Meanwhile, the egg began to shake from where Hawk had put it down, cracking slightly. But the battle meant no-one noticed.
(Needed that last bit, egg is overdue. Also, don't bother about it until after the battle, we can say the hatchy was watching. BTW, it's a Budew.)

(yeppers, thankees, and It gives me more to write about, and writing is good)
The Skarmory's armor blocked most of the Sand, making it fall off. But some of it did reach the eyes of the Bird. It gave a howl and used a Peck, launching at the Small Pokemon, hoping sheer size would help it's low accuracy.
The Egg shook violently, a little green bulb poking through the Teal. The Egg fell away completely, revealing a little Budew. It looked at the battle, had it picked a wrong moment to hatch?
(I'll give you stats and sprite after the battle)

(Yep, perfect, thanks.)
Ace had to hold back a chirp of fright as he flew to the side to avoid the lunge from the large bird.
"Ace! Try to use the forest! It can't see well!" Hawk ordered, not noticing Budew. But Salia did, and the Pokemorph had to repsond to the emotions coming from his daemon. He stared stupidly at the Budew. "Uh... Ace? Just fight your own way!"
The Pidgey chuckled as it flew behind a tree and launched an Air Slash, cutting it down and watching the natural club fall towards Skarmory.

Skarmory saw the tree falling and leapt up and flew out of range quickly, Skarmory's were dreadfully fast, despite their metallic shell. It had barely seen the tree in time though, time to even that playing field up. It used it's wings to shoot sand at Ace, a Sand Attack of it's own.
