Brian shot along the grass. Yori, his Shelgon Daemon was clinging to his jacket as it flew with the passing wind. His shaggy blond hair blew back as well. A bright and excited grin was spread across his face. He had began his career! He was too find the starters that had escaped! He took out the piece of paper from his inside coat pocket and examined the pokemon he was to find. He nodded after reading it fluently and put it back in his pocket. The second before he looked again to where he was going, he tripped on a log and sailed about ten feet in the air. He landed with a very loud thud and then stood up. He turned to the hollow log that he had tripped on. His head and shoulder throbbing. He turned around to see if Yori was alright. "YORI!" He called. "YORI!" There was no response. The intelligent Shelgon rest atop his head with a grin. "YORI!" He called once again. Yori then jumped back on to his shoulder. "I'm right here you idiot!" She snapped. Brian frowned at her and then began to jog through the grass some more. Then, his speed changed and he resumed accelerating through the swaying grass.

Through the grass, there came a rustling sound. This was fairly far away, and at the charging speed Brian was running at, he would have missed it. Unfortunately, that would have had the consequenses of his current mission going down the drain, for the rustling was caused by one of the escaped starter's Pine had asked Brian to find. The Bellsprout was startled by the hurrying man. Why was he in such a hurry? From the look of him, he'd just been to the lab. That was good! Bellsprout wanted to go home!
The spindly Grass type made his way over to Brian. ~SSSSSTTTTTOOOOOPPPPP!~ he yelled, mainly to his daemon, for she would understand his speech. ~Did you come from the lab? So did I!~ he shouted at the top of his lungs.

Yori heard the Bellsprout shout STOP! loudly. In fact, it made her head shiver a bit. "STOP!!!!" Yori shouted right in Brian's ear. He stopped but he was going so fast that he slid and fell to the ground. He then knelt and looked down to see a Bellsprout. The Bellsprout seemed somewhere between spastic and cheery. His only polite option ws to put a smile on his face, which he did. He wasn't sure at all what he was to do now. The Bellsprout would surely state what it needed or what its request was.

Bellprout was glad that one of those strange Pokemon who are always with humans but are always Ditto until they mature translated for him. He nodded a thanks to Yori, then looked at Brian again. The man could help him get home! Then there would be no more plodding through endless seas of long grass in hope of seeing something homely. He couldn't help but let the tiniest of whines slip through his throat. How silly and pathetic. Well, gotta keep going, or he'd never get home. ~I came from Pine Labs. Some Pokemon ran out, and grabbed me on their way. They went their separate ways a few hours ago, and since then I've been wondering about, trying to get home. Can you help me? Please? Are you a trainer, with you warm red and white cosy Pokeballs? Or a ranger with your magical stick?~ Bellsprout asked. If Brian was one of those, then he'd be able to help him, surely!

Yori translated what the Bellsprout asked to Brian. He thought over about how the other starters had departed. they could've been anywhere! But if it was only a few hours ago, then it means that they can't be gone that far. Then, he focused on the question but found it a tiny bit silly. He smiled and answered to Yori,"A Ranger, the one with a magical stick". He flicked the tip of his Styler. It's voltage bar lit up considering it had all fifty orange cases. Yori then translated what Brian said, to the Bellsprout. Then ending it with a small giggle.

Bellsprout smiled. A Ranger? That must be the big word for a magical stick human! Then... this Brian would be able to use his special stick catch him and return him to his Pokeball and then to the lab! ~Oooh, it's fully recharged. Do you know how to use it? Could you catch me? Hey, you could practice on me! I won't make it easy!~ Bellsprout challenged, bouncing about excitedly. Little leaves trailed off it- the attack it could use against the Capture Styler.

Yori translated just in time for Brian to understand. He whipped his Styler out and lashed a circle which blocked the prevented the leaves from hitting his Styler. He then angled his Styler and spun it in circles around the Bellsprout. His Styler moving with the Bellsprout so the Bellsprout would not escape or wreck his Styler. Just a total of six spins and he'd be able to get the Bellsprout. His orange cases blinking off and on on his Styler. Which meant that it was on. But when he catches the Bellsprout, one will disappear or however many it takes to fully capture the Bellsprout.

Bellsprout watched as the strange line swept around it. It was weirdly pretty, a shining yellow colour. The Grass type, of course, had promised Brian some practice. Surely he couldn't think he could just find Bellsprout and circle him without fuss? Nope. Never. Bellsprout grinned, then, when the line grew close enough, he simply tapped it with a leafy arm and watched it fade away. Cool. It ran in a different direction, then shot a leaf out randomly.

Brian put two fingers around the top of the Styler and swept a slider down which had the leaf hit his Styler. A quarter of an orange case faded from his Styler. But it was better than half. This orange case would still contain the Bellsprout, but it would be 1/4 weaker than a orange case. He then, whipped another ring around the Bellsprout, trying a new strategy. To swing it around the Bellsprout two to locate, and six to capture as fast as he could so the Bellsprout wouldn't be able to vanish it in time, angling as the Bellsprout went.

Bellsprout watched as the rings appeared around it, whirling faster... faster... woah, it made Bellsprout's head spin just looking at it. He tried to make several swipes at the line, even using his leaf attack, but the line always slipped away before he could shatter it. Gr. Annoying. The twig like plant Pokemon leapt as high as he could, darting outside the ring just as the sixth one came to a close, trapping within- nothing. Bellsprout had escaped! The Pokemon grinned. However, it should be noted that by now he was panting, worn out. It seemed as though he might be caught on one more try...

Now half an orange case was gone. That Bellsprout really got him frustrated. He was so close! His wrist was beginning to ache but that did not prevent him from swirling those electric-like circles around the Bellsprout. Light blue beams shot out of the tip of the Styler and formed a swift moving circle around the Bellsprout. 1.2.3. How long would he be able to spin to get the Bellsprout in? His Styler was weaker than most as he is a Enera beginner. Though he did have a bit of experience. If the Bellsprout escaped, eh would just tackle it. Then it'd be captured!

As the Bellsprout's appearance suggested, there was not much more energy left in him. He held his head to keep it from spinning as the Capture Line went round, round, round him again and again. Phew. The Grass Pokémon gave up and sat down on the dewy grass, panting softly as it's pear shaped face was illuminated by the glowing yellow circles. Then six circles were completed.
Bellsprout seemed to return to full energy, standing up and grinning as the final ring was absorbed into his spindly body. He looked at Brian, trotting to the Ranger's side as if he had known and trusted him all his life. Wow, those Stylers sure were great things. Bellsprout seemed to be completely in Brian's control, like a trainer and his or her first Pokemon. Well, Bellsprout's Pokéball was in Brian's hand right now. All it took was a little throw, and a fifth of his mission would be complete!
Brian's Styler has 1/4 EXP! Bellprout was captured!

Feeling his Styler zap and tingle, he placed it back in his coat pocket. Dramatically, he tossed it gently above the Bellsprout. It opened and absorbed the Bellsprout in red light. Then, the pokeball shook left and right gently. So slowly and gently it got annoying! he just wanted to know if he caught it or not. He even wanted to tape the pokeball closed, that was how impatient he was getting.

Since Bellsprout was captured by a Capture Styler, and so completely under his command, the Pokéball fell silent almost at once. After all, the Pokéball did belong to Bellsprout, and so it made sense that the Grass type should return to it without a fuss once it had been captured. Once the Pokéball fell still, the other labelled ones still empty, it was time to look for more of the starters.
Brian didn't have long to wait. Before he would be able to do much, a little paw jabbed him in the back. A Teddiursa. One of the labels on the Pokéballs read 'Teddiursa'. Somehow, Brian's Capture Styler was back on full- maybe the success of Bellsprout had done it? Well, no time to mull it over now- Teddiursa had jumped onto Brian's back and was growling and snarling. Teddiursa didn't look like they would generally live in a wide, open grassy space like this- she must be one of the starters!

Brian was startled and not knowing, grabbed the Teddiursa and threw it to the ground in front of him. Finding out that it was a Teddiursa he was completely in shock of what he had done. Cruel as it was, it was his chance so he started swirling his Styler. The Teddiursa was more advanced so he needed eight swirls to get it into an orange case.
