Larina was walking down Route 1 with Pip as a Taillow on her shoulder and Aston in his Pokeball. She'd be able to travel faster if her Rhyhorn was in his Pokeball. She looked down toward the ground to see if there were any markings about the people she was searching for. It would have been easier to get a canine type Pokemon for her first to track easier but Larina needed a Pokemon handy if there were heavy obstactles in tha way. And frankly, there weren't many rock or ground type Pokemon running aorund in a forest. There were several markings o trees, spiral shapes carved into them . This was definately the Sky Riders, they were on the right track. Larina nodded and stood up (after crouching down by the trees) she stopped walking and looked to Pip on her shoulder, "We're on the right track Pip. They're close by - as long as there are no distractions or interruptions we should be fine." However, Larina and Pip were in Route 1 forest - and there was likely to be a distraction of some sort. A battle most likely.

Disguised in the bushes was an Oddish. Her leaves blending in so it was hard to notice. Though the rustling was pretty distracting. Knowing sooner or later it would be given a way, "Oddish" the Oddish chimed. The name swaying like a beautiful chorus in the breeze. Slowly and dramatically, she approached. She was still chiming happily even when she stopped moving.

Larina and Pip's eyes moved and locked onto the source of a rustle in the bushes. Larina quickly reached back and in a split second her bow and arrow were armed and pointed at the bush, one of her eyes was squinted as she was ready to launch the arrow if anythign dangerous came out. Pip jumped down from Larina's shoulder and before his feet even touched the ground he transformed into a fierce Mightyena - his teeth bared he growled at the creature in the bush. Slowly a small blue ball with green leaves emerging from its head crawled out of the bush. Larina, seeing the creature, relaxed her body and lowered her bow - replacing behind her back. She made a high pitched, short whistle and Pip stopped growling and jumped into the air, transforming back into a Taillow and fluttering in the air for a moment he swooped back onto Larina's shoulder. Leaning closer to her ear he said, "Larina, that creature is an Oddish. It is a poison and grass type, Aston would be at a great disadvantage in battle."
Larina nodded in reply. It was disappointing to know, her shiny Rhyhorn would be at an extreme disadvantage if the Oddish had grass type moves. But there was nothing she could do about it. Aston was her only Pokemon, she reached a hand to her only full Pokeball. She hesitated over it for a minute and then grabbed it quickly. Throwing it toward the Oddish with tremendous speed she put a spin onn it. As the Pokeball hit the ground it erupted in a flash of red light and the shape of a Rhyhorn emerged. Aston shook himself and stretched his brown stubby legs. He turned to Larina and Pip behind him and said cheekily, "So what do I need to do?" Pip looked at the confident shiny Rhyhorn and lifted a feathery wing and pointed it ahead of Aston. With disbelief in his voice he said, "That." Larina watched as Pip spoke to Aston. Her Rhyhorn turned around and stared down at the small Oddish. It was so tiny...He couldn't help but laugh and then shouted cheekily, "Fine. Fine. This will be easy. I'll let the little guy make the first move." So the three waited for the Oddish to attack first.

ooc// Roo seems to be taking a break from here, so I'll get your thread if you get mine until he comes back.
ic// Oddish gasped in surprise, letting out a scream-like cry as it saw the scary wolf and girl with a pointy-thing-shooter. She looked for help, turning her head to either side, making the leaves on top of her head rustle as she did so. She was alone here. All by herself! With the scary trainer.
A red and white ball. Oddish could not see how that would harm her in the slightest. What would Larina do, throw it at her? Yes, it seemed that; the Pokéball was shooting towards Oddish, so she simply stepped out the way. Then it burst in half, a bright red light shooting out! Oddish shreiked again; the red beam must be a Psybeam or Flamethrower attack! Maybe not those attacks, but definately an attack... wait, what? A huge scary rhino had been formed by the light!
Oddish then realised. Larina was a trainer, and the Ryhorn was her Pokémon. That made perfect sense. If it didn't, then Oddish was confused. But it did, which meant that the giant Ryhorn was fighting her, the little blue bulb on legs. She had to attack- and soon. She waved her leaves, and a trail of green beads escaped, heading towards Ryhorn; Absorb.

Aston watched as glowing green orbs floated toward him, what was the point of this attack? Larina watched as the orbs got closer and closer - a few of them struck Aston and he shook himself as he felt some of his energy sapped. Larina put her hadns on her hips and then shouted out, "Aston, use your Horn Attack - pop the orbs that are left adn tehn head straight toward the Oddish." Aston didn't need to be told twice. He shook his head about; to try and intimidate teh little blue bulb and then he charged toward her. His horn outstretched he galloped with his stubby legs and popped most of the remaining orbs that were in his path. He got closer adn closer to the Pokemon and he urged forward his horn ready to attack. Pip blinked in his Taillow form as he stared at the Shin Rhyhorn in battle. This might be more difficult then they thought...Firstly Aston was weak against the grass type Oddish. And secondly, the Oddish knew a grass type move that reguvinated her if it hit the opponent.... But Aston still strode toward ehr with his horn attack.

Aston, a Ryhorn, was large and chunky, therefore not as mobile as a light little bulb. Oddish's little round feet pattered as fast as they could in the 'away' direction, but it was not much use, for as stated earlier, Aston was large. And chunky. He simply reached over and butted Oddish- hard- with his impressive horn. Oddish was thrown through the air. This wasn't right! Oddish could sneak into the library at night, and she had read that rhinos were not as rowdy as people thought, and that their horns were made of compressed hair! Ryhorn's horn had felt smooth, and he seemed pretty rowdy!
Oddish tossed these feelings aside, and struggled to her feet. She waved her leavy hair, and a wonderful, relaxing scent drifted throughout the area. It was Sweet Scent.
