Pichu nodded, not entirely convinced that the hide-and-seek trainer would be OK. He desperately hoped that Sai and Nate would pull this off... the mouse's stubby little fingers were crossed, as were his toes. He gave a weak smile, not entirely sure what was happening in the battle, but clapping for the Riolu anyway was he pulled off an excelent Counter attack.

Mankey growled. She would hardly let this puny first-timer defeat it. The monkey snarled, watching Nate rise up from below. There wasn't much she could do in the air, but then again, that also meant that there wasn't much Nate could do. The Mankey watched Nate fixedly, aiming to strike just as Nate went past. As she did this, she twisted round, moving to one side. Nate shot past her, then started to come down, Quick Attack missed. Mankey intended to Scratch him on his descent.

Flare just kept a eye on pichu to make sure he didn't go off anywhere but at the same time cheered Nate on while watching his battle. He really hoped Nate didn't get too hurt. He hate seeing others hurt.

Sai had been so caught up in trying to think of strategies to keep Nate from wasting movement he was kinda caught of guard when the Mankey dodged him." Um uh, Nate, try a Blaze Kick on your way down even if you have to take a hit from that Scratch." Nate nodded, feet catching aflame as he headed downward, prepared to hit Mankey with Blaze Kick and take a Scratch in return if necessary.

[Birdybot]

Pichu had by now taken his worries to the back of his mind, and was cheering for Nate and Sai. This was actually exciting! Adrenalin was pulsing through his little veins, and a big grin was pasted on his cute face. Pichu knew that Nate could do this! Yay! And he wouldn't really get all that hurt! Pichu's cheeks crackled with sparks in his excitement. ~Nate, Nate, go! Mankey's almost finished! You can win! Yay!~[/color] he called, bouncing up and down.

Mankey laughed at the eccentric, over-confident Pichu. Pft, it thought it could win? It could think again! Mankey could see that the Riolu was actually coming towards her. What was with that? Maybe he was just stupid. The monkey easily slashed a line across Nate's arm, and was celebrating a short-lived victory before Nate's Blaze Kick connected with her fluffy chest, sending her backwards with an oof. Another attack would probably finish her off. She breathed heavily, too tired to attack; she used a Leer instead.[/size]

Flare was glad that Pichu had finally seemed to stop worrying, now he could enjoy the match like everyone else. That's how it was supposed to happen, right? Well, it didn't matter much anyway this one was already almost over. He scooted a bit closer to the mouse and cheered for Nate's successful Blaze Kick.

Nate grasped his arm for a short moment after Mankey scratched him, but that did stop his Blaze Kick from connecting and Nate cheer when it knocked the Mankey back. Sai was cheering right along with Nate." Good job, Nate, lets wrap this up!" He was just about to call out an attack when Mankey leered, causing Nate to jump backwards in fear and also lowering his defense." Nate, don't let it psych you out. Finish this with a fancy Blaze Kick." Nate shook his head to focus and his feet caught ablaze. He smirked at Mankey and began front flipping in its direction, planning a quick hit to the head.

[Birdybot]

Mankey's eyes widened as she saw the blazing back paw approaching her from the front. It appeared... the aim seemed to be directly in favour of her head. No! Not her precious head! She ducked, desperate, but Nate simply had switched his path a little. The Blaze Kick easily collided with her, forcing her into the dust. She writhed around for a bit, resisting the faint and defeat, but it was no use; she fell still just a few moments later.

Mankey was defeated! Nate gained two levels!

[Saitoshi Hanazuru]

Flare cheered, seeing Nate's impressive, acrobatic Blaze Kick hit and defeat the Mankey. He hopped he'd learn to use cool fire attacks like that someday soon. Oh, he so wanted to battle and get stronger." See, Pichu. I told there was nothing to worry about." He said, excitedly.

Nate did a quick back flip for distance after landing his hit on Mankey. So, he was extra excited when he looked back and saw that he had won." Yay! Yay! I did it. Woo Hoo!" He squealed, turning and jumping into Sai's arms. The eevee morph pet the Riolu's head and smiled." Good Job, Nate! I'm so proud of you!" He said, swinging the puppy around a bit. He then turned to the Mankey, grabbing a spray bottle out of his sash and spraying the monkey with it, rubbing it in with the help of Nate." That was a exciting battle you gave us. Thanks for the great challenge." He said, smiling kindly at the Mankey.

[Birdybot]

Pichu smiled. He smiled at Flare, then at Sai and Nate. He cheered for their victory, glad that they had not only pulled it off alive, but actually defeating Mankey as well. They had... saved him! Saved this entire tree and all the birds and bugs living in it, even the tiny specks! And of course, the tree itself. Pichu carefully began to climb down.

Mankey seemed angry at Sai, even as he healed her with a Potion. She bared her teeth for a moment, then looked pensive. ~Aren't you gonna catch me?~[/color] she asked, wondering what the reason for this was. True, she wouldn't put up a fight if Sai descided to use a Pokéball, but she still wondered why he wasn't throwing the red plastic stuff already. Hm.

Pichu, on the other hand, rushed up to Sai. ~That was amazing! Sai, Sai! I wanna be just like Nate when I grows up! OHOHOHOH! Can I... can I please join you? Now?~[/color] the mouse squealed in excitement, bouncing up and down.[/size]

[Saitoshi Hanazuru]

Flare smiled back at Pichu. Then at Nate and Sai, too. It was an excellent battle and so much fun to watch, too! Oh, he could only hope to battle like that when he started. He hugged the little Pichu and helped him climb down from the tree.

Sai held a pokeball out toward Flare, letting the red light recalled the fire type." Thanks for the help, Flare." He smiled at the pokeball before setting it back on his waistband. He turned back to the Mankey, not even flinching at her angry tone." Calm down, You have no reason to be angry with me." He shook his head slowly, not letting up on his smile in the slightest." No, I am not going to catch you. I only battled you because you and Nate both wanted to battle. I have no intention of taking you from your friends and family." He said as he rubbed on the last bit of the potion and gently messaged it in.

Nate looked over at the excited Pichu, blinking his large, red eyes at the little mouse." I think it'd be loads of fun to have you join our family but that's up to Sai." He said, turning to his eevee morph trainer.

Sai nodded with his trademark smile." I'd love to have such a cutie travel with us, but I don't wanna just take you from your family either. If your parent don't mind then you can come with us I promise to bring you back to visit anyway." He said, picking up the pichu as he ended Mankey's massage.

[Birdybot]

Mankey sighed as the Potion went into her skin, healing her. That trainer wasn't so bad. He was kind, gentlemanly- sort of- and helped her out when she had been weakened, even if the weakening had been in aid of a battle. Well, she had lost the battle, and she would certainly keep her promise after that. ~Thanks. The battle was fun. The massage felt good, too. Well, I lost. I will keep my promise; we will leave. See ya!~[/color] she called, grinning as she led the other Mankey into a dash in the opposite direction.

Pichu, on the other hand, looked down at the ground, fighting back tears. Odd... he had seemed so happy just a second ago! A tear slid down his cheek, cutting a small passage in his fur. He looked at Sai, hurt in his eyes. Sai must have touched a painful memory there. Pichu wiped his eyes, sighing. ~My parents... Sai.... I don't have any family. My parents were both killed my Team Tsuasa, and my siblings... I don't know. They went in the back of the van. I hid and wasn't found. Sai!~[/color] he cried, hugging Sai for reassurance at the end.[/size]

[Saitoshi Hanazuru]

Sai stared blankly for a bit in shock. His arms fell to his sides, causing him to drop Nate with a dull THUMP. The riolu rubbed his sore bottom and looked up at Sai angrily. He was about to start fussing when he saw the hurt look on his trainer's face. Tears had welled up in Sai's own eyes as he knelt down and wrapped the pichu in a gentle hug. The tear overflowed as he though of how alone the little pokemon must be." Of coarse I'll take you and you'll have the kindest family ever." He said wiping tears from his eyes. He wanted to do all he could for the little pichu. He'd probably end up babying him.

<ooc> Seeing as to how Birdy is on vacation, I'll be modding this thread. And unfortunately, the muse did not strike me this fine morning... excuse the shorrt post =P

<ic> The little Pichu hugged Sai back, crying just as much. He had never been as happy in his short life. He was going to have a new family, and see new places, and be like Nate... it was exhilarating.

~Oh, thank you, thank you! And we can play all the time!~ The little Pichu's tail waved around happily. Now all Sai had to do was capture him, and he could go on all sorts of adventures!

[Saitoshi Hanazuru]

Sai smiled happily, picking up the little pokemon and twirling him around for a bit. He set the Pichu on the ground and got an idea." Flare, Center Stage!" He yelled throwing a pokeball that released a shiny magby.

"Hiya, Sai! Whadda ya need me for so soon?" He asked with a grin. Sai just grinned back and handed him a Pokeball. Flare looked questioningly at Hiroki and then at Sai. The pikachu Daemon pointed at the Pichu." He wants you to catch your little brother." She said with a smile. Sai nodded.

Nate smile a bit and hopped back into Sai's arms. Flare looked at the Pokeball for a bit before, slowly walking close to the Pichu and tapping him gentle with the Pokeball. The ball absorbed him in a flash of red light and began shaking.

The ball didn't shake for long. After all, the Pichu had wanted to be captured, right? Still, being captured was always a surprise at first. The ball fell still, then flashed, giving the signal that the Pichu had been captured.

Sai smiled, seing that Pichu was caught. He was happy to add another member to their family and such a cute one, too! He looked down to see Flare pick up the pokeball and bringing it to him. He smile and pet the fire pokemon on the head as he took the ball from him." Well, looks like we're off to the next route and our next adventure!" Sai yelled, returning Flare, before taking off at a full run toward the next path.
