Forest Fun

[Saitoshi Hanazuru]

Sai walked happily through the forest, remembering the happy times he'd had with the pokemon in the forest near his home. Nate looked up from his spot in the boy's arms, wondering why his trainer was smiling so happily when he had not to long ago been crying. Boy, Humans were strange.Sai looked down at him and smiled." I think we're gonna make a good team, Nate. I'm glad you came with me." The riolu smiled happily and hugged Sai." I'm glad I did too. You're so nice and I get to travel around with you." They were both positively beaming with happiness and distracted from everything else as the walked down the path chatting. Hiroki, Sai's Daemon, looked down at the Riolu, sparks happily showering off the Pikachu's cheeks. She smiled happy to be getting a new friend, though sad to be lose some of her attention." Welcome to the family, Nathaniel." She said, teasingly. The riolu stuck his tounge out at her, They'd recently learned that he liked the name Nathaniel as his ull name but he wanted to be call Nate, cause Nathaniel sounded to strange to him. Hiroki had been teasing him by calling him that and they'd be teasing back and forth, though only playfully.

[Birdybot]

Many Pokémon were out enjoying the newborn summer. A group of tiny Rattata in between the stages of baby and mature played around happily, their parents watching lazily nearby. Away from the Sai, rarer Pokémon like Bulbasaur, Chikorita and so on sunbathed, some with families or friends, out of the prying eyes of humans.

It seemed as though all the Pokémon would continue to ignore Sai, when a small mouse Pokémon noticed them. Oh, boy, a playmate! Lots of them, travelling and getting more the whole time! The Pokémon, just left it's parents, rushed towards Sai. It looked up at him with large shining eyes. ~Pipi! Chu Pichu!~[/color] it grinned, which Hikori would be able to translate as ~Hihi! Wanna play?~[/color] the little Pichu was overjoyed at Sai. Ah, it was so cute too.[/size]

Sai smiled at the fresh air and warmth that summer had brought with it. He looked around spying some of the lesser hidden pokemon like the Rattata. He smiled at the little rat pokemon and continued to walk. Hiroki had decided to sit on the top of his backpack to nap while Nate and Sai talked.

Sai's ears twitched as he heard some of the pokemon that he couldn't see but on a beautiful and peaceful day like this he didn't even feel slightly inclined to disturb the peacefulness. He was fully planning on just walking with out bothing any of the pokemon until he saw heard a pokemon calling out. He looked and saw that it was Pichu and a cute one at that. He kneeled down to pet the excited looking Pichu. He didn't need Hiroki awake to understand what the little mouse had said." Sure, We'd love to play with you." He said, his tail swishing around behind him.

[Birdybot]

Pichu clapped happily at the Eevee 'morph. Yay! It could play with the big fluffy human! It grinned adorably at Sai, then closed it's ovesized chocolate eyes. ~I know! You hide, Pichu will seek! One... five... seven... two...~[/color] it squealed happily. Either it was younger than originally thought, or it was very, very stupid indeed. Either way, Pichu was counting to twenty, then it would go and search for a hopefully hidden Sai. It's tail twitched as it focused on the order of numbers, but it was so difficult! This counting thingy wasn't as easy as it looked![/size]

Sai smiled, watching the happy Pichu clap. He petted Pichu's head again, nodding as the game was decided as Hide and Seek." Ok, But you'll never find me." He singsonged happily and went off behind some bushes, sighing at the Pichu's off counting. He was used to this with the young pokemon he played with back in his own home forest. He climbed up into a tree with a few low hanging branches. He wondered if it would be hard.

Nate had went to hide in bushes oposite the tree Sai was sitting in. He sat and started to watch the other pokemon enjoy their day. He wondered if they were all content to be like this forever.

[Birdybot]

Pichu giggled madly as he pulled away his little paws. ~Thirteen... Twenty! Ready or not, here I come!~[/color] he called in a singsong voice, although the actual number of numbers he had counted through had been closer to thirty than twenty. He sniffed the air, tottering off around the place to try and find Sai and Nate. Where could they be?

After a while of searching, Pichu caught the scent of a human. He could find them now! It would be easy. Following the trail, he found it led to a tree. ~Aaaaa-ha!~[/color] Pichu cried, leaping into a branch. Hm. No. He scrached his head, then noticed a shoe on one of the other branches. He leapt up there, grabbing in his paws and grinning up at it's owner, Sai. ~Found you!~[/color] he exclaimed gleefully.[/size]

Sai had totally unwound in the tree, laying back again the thick truck and staring into the sky above. He let out a silent content sigh and the straight back up when he heard the Pichu stop counting. He huddled up, being as still as possible, though he knew that he'd be found eventually through smell. He just wanted to atleast trying and making it look like he wasn't giving up.

He waited for Pichu, thinking that it might've gone after Nate first in stead of him. When jumped onto a branch near him Sai flinched and moved his foot onto a branch to get ready to move, it was that foot that let Pichu find him. He picked up the Pichu and raised him playfully into the air." Yesh, you did, Cutie." He said with a giggle, setting the Pichu down and climbing out of the tree. Then Nate came rushing over to see what all the giggling was about. He looked at the questioningly." What's so funny that I missed out on?" He asked, blinking his large red eyes cutely.

[Birdybot]

Pichu was now eccentric. ~Big human played with Pichu! Pichu found him! And now Pichu... found... you!~[/color] he grinned, tapping Nate lightly on the shoulder. The blue Pokémon, human and the human-loving-not-quite-Pokémon were very nice, and the last one on his list looked the same as his evolution! He was so happy he had found friends at last, he-

Boom.

A spine-chilling roar echoed up the tree as the entire thing shook. Dare you go down to investigate?[/size]

Sai was happy to see the little Pichu soo happy. He couldn't deny on any level how adorable the little pokemon was as he grinned. He smiled at Nate, petting the little riolu on the head, which earned a murr and a blush from the dog-like pokemon." I'm not a baby ya know!" He told Sai, onlye getting a small giggle in return from the eevee morph. Nate just pouted, making himself look even more babyish and cute in Sai's opinion.

Boom.

Sai's ear perked. That was not a friendly sound. He looked at Pichu." Stay here, me and Nate are gonna go see what that was. We'll be back soon." He picked the riolu up and jumped down from the treem seeing as he was not too far up. He wondered what the problem was.

[Birdybot]

Pichu shook. This was so scary. He liked pretend danger, but real danger was nasty and made people not breath any more. He whimpered in fear, nodding but clutching onto the branch he was on as though it was to break at any second. Was it really that far down? Would the tree-shaking booms make him fall out? He was so scared. Terrified. This didn't normally happen in his games, and he definately as not liking it right now!

Down below, another roar broke out. There was a wide, low down figure which could just about be made out, but what exactly was it? Some sort of Pokémon? As Sai drew closer, it was easier to see. It was lots of Pokémon. The sort you wouldn't want to meet. You see, Sai, Nate and Pichu's little game had woken up a Mankey. When Mankey become enraged, the whole gang does... and now, the enitre gang of Mankey, all six of them, were ramming at the tree. They looked up at an Eevee 'morph approached them. They muttered amongst themselves, then smiled an evil smile. ~Tell ya what. You 'ave one Pokémon, right? Ya only have ter' battle one o' us, and we'll go away. Deal?~[/color] one Mankey asked, appearing to be the leader. Their fighter stepped forwards. It looked no different to the rest of them, and adopted a threatening pose.[/size]

[Saitoshi Hanazuru]

Sai felt bad for the scared Pichu. He couldn't leave it there by itself. It seemed to be so young. He unclipped a pokeball from the sash on his shoulder, pressing the button to release the pokemon in side. As the smalle flash of light cleared a shiny magby was sitting on the branch near Pichu." Flare, I need you to stay here and keep Pichu company. Its scared." Flare nodded as Sai faced the Mankey.

He listened to them and saw that this was a much more peacful solution than most would expect from a mankey. He looked toward the leader and nodded in agreement." Sounds fair to me. Any terms about winning and losing or did you just want to battle. Well, it doesn't matter anyway I accept." He looked and Nate and smiled. The Riolu stepped forward, facing the fighter Mankey." This is gonna be fun." He said with a smile.

[Birdybot]

Mankey snorted. ~No terms. We'll keep 'ar promise if yer can win som'ow, yeah?~[/color] it gloated in that accent which made it sound rather dimwitted and slow. It's eyes watched Flare as he was made to keep Pichu safe. Mankey smirked. Such a puny Fire type wouldn't stand a chance against all of them.

Mankey's face now distorted into a frown, then a snarl as his lips pulled back to reveal long teeth, a growl ripping from his throat. Rather threatening, especially to the quivery Pichu clutching onto Flare like he was a safety bar. Mankey hopped from one foot to the other. It's gaze locked on Nate, and it lunged, paw back ready for a Scratch attack.[/size]

Sai smiled a bit." That's fine with me then. I guess we'll be outta here soon enough cause we're gonna win this." He said, his vision looking up at the Flare and the Pichu he was keeping company. It wasn't his strength that put him up there it was his smog attack, incase they needed to get away Quickly.

Nate's grin got even wider as he set his feet, resting one arm by his side while the other stretched out palm toward the Mankey. Nate watched as the Mankey lunged at him, waiting for his trainer to issue a command." Nate, Let's give him a Counter." Sai yelled. The Riolu nodded a bit and a Bluish aura was projected around him.

[Birdybot]

Pichu watched fearfully at Nate and Mankey getting into a furious fight. He could see that they were both of the same level. An even competition. Even still, he couldn't help but feel scared. Those other Mankey, glaring at him even though he had done nothing wrong... it wasn't nice. He looked at Flare, swallowing hard. He would be brave. The young mouse clutched his branch tightly and crossed his paws.

Mankey snarled savagly as a spout of pain jolted along it's body. That hurt! It was supposed to be what, twice the damage or something? It felt like it. The Pokémon growled, wincing in pain. The monkey then leapt up high, aiming to get in a Scratch attack from above.

Flare scooted closer to the scared Pichu and smiled at him." You don't have to worry. That human there is my friends and if he say something then I know you can trust him." He said, feeling Pichu might trust the word of a fellow pokmon. He lookied down at the match seeing Nate counter the mankey's scratch and couldn't help but cheer.

Nate smiled as he watched the Mankey snarl in pain. He knew that he'd just used his opponent's own power against him but he wanted to really fight. He watched careful as the pokemon jumped up, then looked back at Sai." Nate, dodging and avoiding isn't everything. Quick attack, please." The Riolu nodded and jumped toward the Mankey with incredible speed.
