The Cacnea growled in frustration as his Absorb missed. He was still just as weak, and he had taken quite a bit of damage so far. If he didn't end this soon... no, he would not think of that. He would win. He had to think or else he would lose, and he didn't really like losing. Especially not to pink kittens. Even though he had never fought a pink kitten before.
As Lith came near once more, Cacnea took aim with his Poison Sting and fired. He didn't want the Skitty coming near, not with his health this dangerously low.

The small kitten yelped as something hit him, it stung. It didn't cause poison this time however, but it did stop him in his tracks "Lith!" She yelled "Use Tail Whip!" She commanded, the Skitty nodded and did so. He waited for the next order that soon came "Then use Growl!" again Lith did without a question, a low growl escaping him.

The Cacnea sure was glad that the kitten hadn't attacked him again, but felt his stats lower. If he was going to last much longer in this battle, it had to end quickly. He fired of another Poison Sting, keeping the battle long-range. The purple poison-tipped darts arced towards Lith, and while they wouldn't deal too much damage really, they had the added risk of poison.

(Oh, oh!! So late!!! V_V)
The cat's eyes widened and he darted out of the way, not wanting to feel the sting again. Lith looked back for a moment again and Lilly, his trainer, nodded and he would have grinned if he could and darted forwards. He went faster, trying to ignore the slight ache in his muscles that signaled that he as well was becoming tired. Lilly had recognized the Cacnea's plan and if she got her say in it she would ruin it. Silas was shouting as well, ignoring the warning looks Lilly shot him sometimes as he cheered the kitten on for once.

Cacnea was annoyed that the kitten wasn't poisoned yet. Urgh! How annoying. Well, he'd just have to keep trying. To get Lith poisoned, then attack... that was the plan. The cactus Pokémon growled none too fiercely, not enough energy left in him to be much of a threat. He knew really that another attack would most likely finish him off, but thankfully the Skitty hadn't attacked for a while. He aimed his tired arms at Lith, sending out another Poison Sting. It was a weak one again, but was still able to poison.

The stings hit him and he nearly stumbled once more, poison spreading through his veins. He was poisoned successfully, but not too badly as the faint traces of antidote still ran in his blood. The kitten continued running toward the cactus Pokémon, eyes narrowing lightly and another small growl rolled through his throat, although it was just a small sound of annoyance than an attack.

Cacnea cursed himself in annoyance. Of course! The antidote would stop the little kitten from being poisoned! Oh, how stupid. There wasn't enough time to attack, however, before the Skitty hit him. Cacnea was thrown into the dirt with the Tackle. When he got up, he was groaning, aching and tired, wishing he could rest. Another attack would definately finish him off and win the battle. Cacnea's arm weakly rose, shooting a jet of Absorb at Lith. However, the beads were a lot smaller than they usually were.

The Skitty growled at them once more and jumped out of the way, listening to the orders that his trainer still could call out. She didn't seem to think however how he should proceed, instead she was getting more worried. The Daemon by her side on the other side was getting annoyed, he wanted this to end. He pecked Lilly for a bit and then looked at the Skitty pointedly, she would have blushed before she ordered another tackle. The Skitty did so, the faint absorbs that still rushed out of the Cacnea's arms hit Lith.

Cacnea saw that Lith was still using Tackle, and simply running through the Absorb as though it was nothing. He let the beads return to him, feeling a little energy come back, but, as he thought while his heart sank, it wasn't enough. He was still so weak that it Lith's Tackle hit, he'd win the battle. He was so weak... he didn't have the strength to dodge, did he? The Cacnea sighed. He tried to move out the way, but his aching limbs were so slow he might as well have painted 'free hit' on his front. The Tackle struck him, the easiest hit yet, and he toppled over a little comically. The Cancea was out before he hit the ground.
Cacnea was defeated! Lith gained two levels!

Lilly blinked. She couldn't believe this, the Natu besides her did the same. Then both of their eyes met and a huge grin spread out over the younger female's lips and she cheered shortly "Yes!" She cried out. She walked over to the kitten and picked him up, cradling and burying her nose lightly in the warm, pink fur. A sigh escaped her and she looked at the Cacnea, a frown over her eyebrows. She could just leave, but it felt bad in a sense. She digs in her backpack and bit her lower-lip "It must be here somewhere.." Her hand hovered over it however and then she let out a small sigh "Sorry." She muttered, before half-turning.

Cacnea remained on the ground, still fainted. Lilly would find him really easy to catch if she just tried, since a fainted Pokémon is nearly always caught due to the fact that they can't put up a fight against the Pokéball. If Lilly waited too long, however, Cacnea might return to conciousness and run off.

(YEEEEEEEEP] She let out a small sigh and finally decided to take the red ball out of her backpack. She walked over to the fallen Cacnea and crouched, making the pokeball suck in the pokemon. Used: Pokeball X 1She held it in her hand and watched it, biting her lip. She didn't know if she would keep it, but she also just couldn't leave it alone like that. The cacnea's pride would be hurt and he would bully the ones weaker than him. Lith looked at her and let out a small 'Skitty' questioningly. Silas did the same, although it was just a ~huh?~ coming out. Lilly didn't bother looking at the both of them and bit her lower lip softly again, making the tender flesh pale and send waves of pain through it. She hoped that this would work.

The Pokéball swiftly absorbed the fainted Cacnea, the Pokémon unable to make any effort to resist. However, inside the Pokéball, Pokémon for some reason begin struggling. Cacnea made the Pokéball shake so hard, it would be very difficult for Lilly to hold on. The cactus Pokémon was surely going to get out! A small crack of thin light appeared around the edge with the strongest shudder of all, which normally happened when a Pokémon was released from their Pokéball. Oh, no! This must mean Cacnea would escape! However, then, the light faded and the shaking stopped altogether. This was all the signs for a sucessful capture. Lilly had captured a Cacnea!
Cacnea was caught!

She smiled, then decided the first thing she would do was go to a pokemon center. She looked back, blinking slowly and then realized she maybe could wait for a bit. She looked at the pokeball again, releasing the air out of her lungs "A moment.." She murmured "I'll heal you soon enough." A small, thin smile covered her lips and she looked up, then at the natu at her side "Right, Silas?" The bird nodded and hopped on her shoulder. She placed the pokeball in her bag and picked up the skitty and smiled "Good work, Lith." She murmured, before continuing her path.

As Lilly, Lith and Silas continued along the path of Route One with the Pokéball of their new Cacnea in tow, they were not alone. A pair of beady black eyes traced them as they moved, following them soundlessly. Not a branch or leaf rustled as the Pokémon went by. However, once it fell behind, that was a different story. Racing to catch up, a merry jingle rang from the bush. The Pokémon sighed. The woman was bound to have heard that.
A determined looking Chingling floated out from the undergrowth, ringing itself confindently. The loud, rich pealing sound was made as it bobbed up and down. It then looked at Lith, then at Lilly. Aha, the woman was a trainer. Chingling's eyes narrowed, a smile appearing. It wanted a battle. Yes, that would be fun.
