There are five careers you can pick from. They are;
Trainers
Trainers catch Pokemon, and try to level them up as much as possible. Trainers aim to evolve and train all the different types of Pokemon until they are as strong as they can be. They take the gym leage challenge, where they battle each of the eight gym leaders in hope of recieving all the badges. Once said badges had been earned, a trainer will make his or her way to the Elite. The Elite are composed of the Elite Four, and then the Pokemon champion. When the Champion is defeated, the victor does not have to sit in the room the previous Champion does; they merely win the title, and can continue their quest to train all their Pokemon to level 100.
Coordinators
Coordinators aim to look good in any of Beauty, Cute, Tough, Cool or Smart, more often than not, they use a mixture of all of these depending on what Pokemon they have caught. Like trainers, they attempt to catch and train Pokemon to the best they can be, but coordinators pick Pokemon for looks rather than strength. They travel around the region, earning ribbons from contests. Once all five ribbons have been earned, they go to the Grand Festival in hopes of becomin the Top Coordinator.
Breeders
Breeders try to find every Pokemon there is. They will help any Pokemon, and their main aim is not to train or look good, but to learn about Pokemon and help them survive. They often breed Pokemon and take care of them from the egg onwards.
Rangers
Rangers are there to help. They cannot catch Pokemon permenantely, rather befriend them temporarily with a Capture Styler, although, if a Pokemon chooses, the Pokemon can become part of their team. The number of Pokemon that can follow a Ranger around at one time varies depending on rank, otherwise they'll go to the PC. Unlike trainers, coordinators or breeders, rangers can travel around the region however they want. They want to help keep the region free of crime.
Students
Students of the Enera region live at Suitay Academy. In there, they can choose to be trainers, coordinators, breeders or rangers. They cannot earn gym battles or ribbons, but they can still train their Pokemon to high levels, and learn lots while doing so. They cannot enter the routes, but they can leave the academy for a while to access the 'Other Areas'.
Team Tsuasa Members
Members of Team Tsuasa live in the Headquarters. They start out as Grunts and are issued a Pokémon by one of the higher ranking staff and are then given missions. The Grunts are the lowest rank, and while the Global Grunts have some power over them yet they both have to obey the Commanders, who pass on orders from Admins, Heads of Departments and the Boss herself. Tsuasans are given missions such as stealing a Pokémon they'd been keeping their eyes on, keeping the Pokémorphs in check, patrolling, protecting and all sorts of bad things. No-one but the Boss and her two Co-Bosses know their main plan, however, and only they and the five Heads of Departments know about Connor (if you don't check the Plot boards).
