It was quiet to most human ears, but Mizuki was not human. Her keen senses allowed her to pick up just about every sound that was close by. There were many sounds out here that only she could hear. This was one of the good points to being a Houndoom morph.
The Murkrow perched on her shoulder was eyeing everything closely. Karasu was keeping an eye out for anything suspicious. While Mizuki had great vision, he wanted to do something to help her out, even a little bit.
Mizuki held her new Pokeball close. This was it; she was finally going to start travelling. She had a strong feeling that this Sneasel would be a powerful ally; she'd even noted that she had a rather impressive move. She kept a very close eye on her surroundings, waiting for battle.

Driftlooooooon!
A small balloon Pokemon was floating up ahead of Mizuki, casting around for a something. It had been with a small group if about 3 Driftloon when it had been blown away by a gust of wind. Now it was looking around, calling for it's friends.
~Where are yooooouuuuuu?~ it called again, it's two arms held up to it's mouth, as if to make the sound go farther. Not that it would help. At that time, the Driftloon spotted the Houndoom PokeMorph. A small cry escaped for it's mouth. Driftloon had always been scared of Houndooms. They were extremely scary, with their big horns and evil look.
Although it's body told it to stay away from the strange creature, Driftloon's curiosity took control of it. ~What are you?~ it asked, descending almost to the strange creature's level, just out of reach. It wasn't going to get to close. Drifloon valued it's life to much.

Mizuki barely batted an eye when she saw the Driftloon. Ghosts never bothered her, not even when she was a little girl. She noticed that it was a safe distance from her; that was understandable. She had that kind of affect on people and Pokemon alike. Karasu listened to what it said and whispered the translation to her.
"I'm a Pokemorph, okay?" she sighed. "A mix of a human and a Pokemon." It sometimes annoyed her when someone asked, but not this time. She was going to keep her silent temper under control.

ooc// Oh, your daemon doesn't need to translate; Pokémorphs can speak Pokémon.
ic// Drifloon cocked it's head to one side, bearing the expression of a small confused puppy. The Ghost type clearly didn't really understand. ~A human... and a Pokémon? That's weird... Drifloon doesn't like Houndooms, no-serie. Houndooms are big, bad and scary.~ it explained. It enthasised it's point by pulling a silly face and inflating it's head to twice it's normal size. When the head returned to normal, Drifloon giggled. ~You're not like them though. You no have paws and fluffy. You really are human as well! But are you... good? You no hurt Drifloon?~ the Ghost asked, still a little too nervous to come much closer to Mizuki.

"Are you assuming that just because she's part Houndoom, she's violent?!" Karasu snapped, flapping his wings indignantly. Mizuki took a grip on his beak, keeping it shut.
"Be quiet, Karasu," Mizuki sighed. "You're starting to give me a headache." She let her gaze return to Driftloon. "The answer is no," she said simply. "I don't hurt Pokemon."

Drifloon grinned, floating closer to Mizuki at her claim. ~Yay! Good, good! Drifloon like that!~ it said. All of a sudden, a shape darted across the scene. Drifloon cried out, and a moment later was pinned to the ground. A Mankey was at it's chest. The pig monkey Pokémon snarled, as if daring anyone to go near her. She growled at Mizuki threateningly, fur standing on end. This was not a happy Pokémon. Drifloon wailed. ~Trainer, help! Help me! Get Mankey away!~ it cried out as Mankey smacked it across the face. In the distance, a little Pichu was playing. Would Ichigo go for the Pichu and leave Drifloon to be beaten up, or would she save the Ghost type from Mankey?

Mizuki had smelt something nearby, but she hadn't been able to tell what it was. When the Mankey pounced, she released Sneasel in an instant. Sneasel brandished her claws, observing the scene before her.
"I can't stand it when someone attacks someone else for no reason, especially if it's a sneak attack," she growled, glaring at the Mankey. "I'm warning you; get off now, or I'll make you."

The Pichu in the distance had disappeared off somewhere else. Looks like Mizuki wouldn't be able to see it again, but she had definately chosen the right thing to do, anyway. The Drifloon struggled harder than ever, but freeing itself with those spindly limbs was next to impossible. Mankey, however, snarled at Sneasel's comment, leaping off his victim and pushing his face close to the Ice and Dark type's. ~Oh, yeah? Think you can beat me? We'll see about that, won't we!~ he glared at her, and it became more apparent that the glare was becomming a bit more than that; this was a Leer attack, aiming to lower Sneasel's Defense stat.

"Fair enough," Mizuki hissed. She looked calm on the outside, but her crimson glare gave away her inner rage. "Sneasel, Ice Punch,"
"Right." Sneasel tucked her claws into a fist, which started to glow blue. She brought her punch forwards, chilling the very air around it as it moved.

Mankey pushed his ball-like body into the air, pulling him quickly out of the Ice Punch's way. That didn't exactly look as though it was going to be a nice experience. The moneky Pokémon grinned as Sneasel's fist went through thin air. Now was the time for the Fighting type to act. He ran up behind Sneasel and angled his foot, bringing it back. This attack wouldn't hurt very much, considering how light Sneasel were. It would be better suited to use against an Onix, because as they say; the bigger they are, the harder they fall. Sneasel weren't very light, so wouldn't fall too hard. Mankey brought his leg across anyway. This was a Low Kick, designed to trip up the opponent or buckle their legs from behind, which was what Mankey had done.

"Jump." Luckily, Sneasel was not only a light Pokemon, she was fast. They were well known for speed and agility. Mizuki was a bit relieved; even though Low Kick wouldn't have done much, it was still bad news. As a Dark-type and an Ice-type, Sneasel had a double weakness to Fighting-type attacks. Add in that Leer, and it would've been trouble if it had connected.
"Let's put that speed of yours to use, Sneasel. Use Scratch," she decided. Sneasel aimed straight for Mankey, claws poised and ready.

Mankey gave an odd sort of noise as Sneasel easily hopped over the Low Kick. It was sort of a cross between a snarl and a snort. Well, he was the pig monkey Pokémon, after all. I suppose snorts were sorta understandable. Mankey's eyes held Sneasel in his vision. He had to concentrate on Sneasel... The Dark type was what he needed to hit! But she was drawing her claw back? Looking as though she was gathering the energy together to attack?! Mankey could tell by his technique in one of his own moves that this was a Scratch. He leapted at Sneasel, aiming to show her his own Scratch. They clashed in misair, Mankey being pushed to the ground by the force. He grunted as he got up, looking around for his opponent.

The force of both attacks pushed Sneasel back into the air. Well, at least it did something. Mizuki observed the battle cautiously. She needed to make a move quickly. Sneasel waited patiently for her master's orders.
"Use Ice Punch before it can recover," she decided. The cold attack came again; this time from the air.

Mankey was still looked around for Sneasel. He didn't think to look up, after all! Why would he need to? Sneasel didn't have wings! Then again, maybe they did; he heard that sound of ice freezing again, this time from above. Fearing what he might see, the Fighting type turned his head upwards. He instantly bent over so his back would take the hit. Wow, Sneasel were fast! And they could jump high! Mankey was struck on the back, groaning in pain. He saw Sneasel's feet and without thinking, the monkey brought his own feet around in an unexpected Low Kick. He hadn't laid an attack on Sneasel yet; but hopefully, that was about to change.

Sneasel yelped as she tripped, not seeing that attack coming. Mizuki cringed; this wasn't good. The less attacks that connected with Sneasel, the better. She needed to make another move quick before the Mankey could have enough time to get a safe distance away.
"Use Scratch again, quickly." Sneasel pushed herself back up as quickly as she could, baring her claws again.
