More bullies? Finally, someone to take her new rage out on. She growled softly, her eyes blazing. "Get behind me," she said, indicating the little Vulpix. "Karasu, watch the Vulpix and the egg. Sneasel, you help him; you're still tired out from the last fight." Karasu nodded and got behind her, sitting on the egg. Sneasel moved back with him, silently agreeing.
Mizuki released Drifloon for this battle. "I'm going to need you to battle. I'm counting on you," Mizuki informed. The first move was always the best, so she reacted as quickly as she could. "Drifloon, Constrict!"
"Alright!" Drifloon flew forwards as fast as he could, aiming to wrap his arms around Vinnie.

Almost as soon as Karasu touched the egg to sit down, it gave out a huge, sickening crack. Uh-oh. It seemed Karasu had put just a tad too much pressure on it- or maybe the egg was just really weak? Either way, a gigantic split had appeared down the side. Vulpix had jumped a foot in the air at the sound given off, staring around fearfully. She she noticed the egg, she gasped. She mouthed 'It's hatching'. It seemed that the small Pokémon inside was having difficulty pushing away the huge sheet of eggshell, so Vulpix carefully prised it away. From within, the small form of a Sunkurn emerged, blinking as it's eyes adjusted.
Vinnie in the battle was caught by the Constrict. Feeling the spindly Drifloon limbs begin to tighten uncomfortably over his soft orange fur, he squealed in alarm, twisting this way and that in attempt to free himself. He didn't manage to, and when the attack was over Drifloon tossed him easily and painfully aside. The Vulpix got up, really annoyed now. A small jet of flames were released from his mouth. This was an Ember attack.

"Wah!" Karasu yelped as the egg cracked. "Either I've put on a few pounds in the past few seconds or this egg is hatching!" The daemon and Sneasel watched as the shell came off, and were quite surprised at the sight of a baby Sunkern.
"...It's cute," Sneasel admitted.
Mizuki noticed that the egg had hatched, but unfortunately, she didn't have time to take a break and check on the newborn. "Can you two look after it for a while?" she asked.
A yelp caught her attention as Drifloon took the hit. She needed to do something quick. "Constrict again!" she tried.

Sunkurn stared about it in amazement, the Grass type's eyes lingering on Mizuki especially. So this was it's new trainer, huh? Cool! It grinned at Sneasel. It was... cute? Whatever that meant, it sounded like a compliment! The Sunkurn was happy. It was Mizuki's Pokémon, and she was the trainer. ((You can play as the Sunkurn now))
Meanwhile, Vinnie grinned as the Ember attack struck the Ghost type. Yes! That was always a good thing. He was pleased his move had hit. However, those spindly legs... they were coming at him again! When they touched one of his tails, he shivered, wincing. They moved on, thankfully, wrapping around his chest. He wriggled, but was bound tight. And this time, Drifloon hadn't let go. The Fire type didn't really like that, but there wasn't much he could do. Oh, wait! Maybe there was. He used another Ember attack, hoping the pain would make Drifloon's grip loosen.

This was bad. Mizuki had to think fast, or she'd have fried Drifloon on her hands! What to do... wait, there was one thing she could do! "Minimize," she tried.
Drifloon made himself smaller, getting past most of the attack. It still hurt, though, making him loosen his grip a little. Meanwhile, Sunkern was watching the battle, interested. Would it be able to do stuff like that someday?

Vinnie sighed in relief, easily breaking free of the grip of the suddenly tiny Drifloon. The Vulpix prepared to use another Ember, since Drifloon would be more hurt if he was small, but he'd returned to normal size by then. Vinnie rinkled his nose in a snarl. Pft, oh well. Didn't matter... he hoped. The fox Pokémon rolled his muscles, preparing himself.
The Vulpix, without warning, launched himself at Drifloon. From his muzzle spurted a surprisingly accurate Ember attack as he went past, but he'd judged his leap badly... he landed smack into a tree. He shook himself, cursing his luck.

Even though Drifloon got hit, he was still able to laugh when his opponent crashed into a tree. Karasu was rolling on the ground laughing. "Oh, that's just priceless! You don't see that everyday!" he managed to say.
Mizuki maintained her usual demenor. This gave her an opening; now, she could make a quick move before her opponent could recover. "Constrict, one more time," she decided.
Drifloon recovered from the laughter and charged in, ready to attack.

Vinnie felt himself being picked off the ground, those stupid annoying spindly arms squeezing again. Urgh... too tight! He chocked, before pushing the legs down until he could breath again. Hopefully, Drifloon would not want to kill him. The Vulpix struggled madly as he felt his energy sapping. Oh, not much more until he was defeated, unfortunately. To him, it seemed that there wasn't much of a way he could win now. Drifloon was pretty strong. But he could still try, right? He shot the strongest Ember yet at Drifloon, tugging all the while on the legs to try an be free.

"Bear with it and hang on. Don't let go. You can do this," Mizuki said as she analyzed the situation. Both Pokemon were getting tired; now it was all about endurance. Hopefully, Drifloon hadn't taken as much damage as Vinnie had.

Vinnie was shocked as the cords didn't loosen at all upon contact with his Ember. What? Last time, he'd been released because of the Ember attack! Urgh, this was so unfair! He tried to wriggle madly to be free, but that was difficult. The legs now squeezed even tighter, and he felt himself slowly slipping away... he fainted at that moment, defeated.
Drifloon gains two levels!

"You did a great job, Drifloon. You can let go now," Mizuki informed. Drifloon, tired, was only too eager.
"Yay!" Sunkern cheered. Sneasel smirked a bit, and Karasu joined in the raucous cheering.
"Excellent, Mizuki! You did a great job of punishing that bully!" he shouted happily. Mizuki said nothing, but turned to look at her new Sunkern. She touched her gently, noting how soft she was.
Sunkern liked the contact, rubbing up against Mizuki's hand. It felt so warm! Mizuki then turned to the young Vulpix. "Are you alright?" she asked.

Plex nervously pawed Vinnie, shooting fearful glances at Mizuki and her Pokémon. They obviously didn't like them much. Possibly something to do with their bullying. Thankfully, Vinnie stirred at that moment, and got slowly to his feet, head low. He gave Mizuki a final glare, before turning and walking away back into the wild. Plex looked from Mizuki to Vinnie, then raced for a few metres to catch up with him, following him out of sight.
Now that the two larger, bully Vulpix had gone, the smaller female gave a sigh of relief. She looked at Mizuki, too. However, whereas the other Pokémon's looks had been filled with anger, hers was filled with admiration. They shone, a huge smile over her face. She stood on her hind legs to be taller, front paws resting on the 'morph's tummy. Vulpix spoke. ~You... you did it! You defeated Vinnie and Flex! Oh, thank you, trainer!~[/color] she said, and an idea came into her head. ~Say... erm... do you perhaps... need a Fire type on your team?~[/color] she asked, blushing. Vulpix wanted to join Mizuki! Would the trainer say yes, however?[/size]

"After what I've seen, do you really think that I can just leave you here?" Mizuki asked back. "Besides, a Fire-type would be a useful addition to my team. Just try not to get in the way."
"Don't worry; she says that to everyone," Karasu whispered. "Looks like we've got two new teammates now!"
"Yes." Mizuki took out two more Pokeballs and used them; one for Vulpix, and one to show that she had officially captured Sunkern. With the right training, this Vulpix could turn out to be pretty strong. And a Grass-type could be useful along the way.

ic// Vulpix tried to remain as still as she could as the Pokéball absorbed her. She did a good job of it for the most part, but freaked out at first. Well, it was a bit of a shock to find oneself inside a Pokéball. She calmed down, however, and made herself at home. The Pokéball barely shook before pinging, indicating a catch.

"They're in good hands," Karasu decided, smiling a bit. Mizuki didn't reply. Instead, she silently picked up the two Pokeballs. She released Sunkern, holding her in her arms. Since this little one had hatched under her care, that pretty much made her a mother.
She knew how to be a good mother; do the opposite of what her mother did. No matter how much this Sunkern changed, she'd always take good care of her.
At first, Karasu didn't get it, but then he saw the look in her eyes. He understood; he was there when she lost everything. He'd help to look after this Sunkern. It would at least justify him not being able to help Mizuki when she needed it.
Sneasel just didn't get it. What was up with them? Well, she had a feeling that she'd understand eventually. She'd just have to be patient.
