It's been a while since she got her first Pokemon, Luminous a.k.a Lumi. "Lumi-chan. Let's do our best as a traner." She said to the Shiny Vulpix. The Vulpix happily nodded. She's happy to see her trainer's smile. Although they were not close enough. They have just met. But they are friends already. Shine hoped that they could be best friends. But she knew it'll take them sometime. This journey will help.
"Humm... This is route one, right?" She asked as she examined her surroundings. It was quiet an open path. Maybe it was made like that so they won't get lost. She could see many trees around and sounds of something rustling on the ground. Maybe it was because the wind that blew them. The grasses moved. She wasn't sure what made it move though.
Walking was not Shine's things. She was rained already by her sweats although they have just walk for 10 minutes or so. "I'm sorry... I'm not a good trainer." She said. Apologizing to Luminous. The Pokemon nodded once again. She understood Shine's condition. Shine's really weak. That's true. Her small build told her everything.
"Well, while we're resting, why don't I tell you about myself? So we can be closer." She said to the golden fox. Shine loved to watch the Vulpix's deep eyes. Her eyes were golden colored. Really shiny just like her furs. "Well, let's start with my ambition." Shine said as she took a notepad from her bag. She immediately drew a design of a cloth and then showed it to Luminous.
"I want to be a designer. My parents are both great designers. So I want to be just like them." She said to the Vulpix. The Pokemon didn't know what a designer is. But it noticed something strange from Shine's little silver bird Daemon. Shion. +What's wrong?+ She asked to the bird. Of course, in a Pokemon language in which the girl didn't understand.
Shine was busy drawing a design of a cloth for Luminous while the two were chatting. +Shine mustn't know this.+ The bird said to the golden fox. The fox was curious as she approached the bird that roosted on a nearby tree roots. +What is?+ She asked the bird.
+Shine's parents were not designers. Her real father was a drunk. And her mother worked as a saleswoman. One day, her drunk father burned the house down. Trapping her mother and her inside the house. Shine was helped by Michael, her neighbour's son.+
+Eeh?+ The fox commented as she looked surprise. To find that her trainer had actually suffer through a lot was really surprising. And Shine didn't show any grief at all. +But just now she said...+ The Vulpix asked, and the story was continued by the silver bird. +Yeah. Shine was then adopted by her neighbour. However, she can't recall what happened back then. She didn't remember her true family. And she thought that Michael was really her brother.+ The bird continued.
The both Pokemon and Daemon looked at her. She was enjoying the wind and continue designing a cute cape for the Vulpix. +Well, her neighbour family decided to keep it a secret from her. Would you do that for me as well? For her sake.+ The bird added. The fox nodded and promised to the bird that she won't tell a soul. She swore that she would protect the girl. It made her like her trainer even more. Although, not knowing the truth might be a little unfair for Shine.
"Heeey! Shion! Lumi-chan! What are you guys doing there? Come here! I made Lumi-chan a cape!" The girl called for the two. They both looked at each other before running back to the girl. [/blockquote]

A Pokémon heard Shine's shouting. She seemed to be calling two people over. She was holding something, too. Something nice! She said something about a 'cape', too. What was a cape? Was it what she was holding? If so, then this Pokémon wanted it. And what would it do about that? Why, it would take the thing, of course! Simple, easy peasy! Just a quick steal, then it would be done.
The Pokémon shot into the air, darting forwards and streaking past Shine's hands quickly. The Tailow landed a few feet away, where it examined the cape and tried to figure out what to do with it. It seemed like a fairly normal piece of soft cloth stuff. It was very big, too. Too big for a small Pokémon like Tailow. It ended up with the material draped over its head, and began to cry out in alarm and flutter its wings madly.
Eventually, it managed to free itself from the cape. Tailow blinked as the cloth fell to the ground. What was it for? It looked at the Pidgey daemon, Vulpix and human. It would be too big for the daemon, so it must be for the Vulpix, then. Tailow hopped closer to Shine, leaving the cape. ~Erm, hi, trainer! What is that thing for?~ it asked her curiously. Shion would be able to translate its words into human for her.

The girl didn't look at the time as she finished her drawing of the cape. Interested in making the small cape, she immediately took the needed tools and began to sew the fabric. She loved sewing. Hoping that she would be a good designer someday. That cape was more like a cloak rather than a cape. It seemed like she changed her mind. But whatever it is, it still looked a bit like a cape, though. It was pale pink colored. And it matched the Vulpix's fur a bit. Although, maybe the child didn't like pink that much.
She was holding onto it until a certain Pokemon swoop down and snatched it from her. "Aahh!! My cape!" She shouted. The both Pokemon dashed to her. Wondering what was attacking them. Shion immediately flew to Shine's shoulder while the Vulpix jumped right next to her. Cautiously watching over the whatever Pokemon trapped in Shine's hand-made robe.
As soon as the Pokemon managed to break free from the over-sized cape, it revealed itself to Shine and the other two. It was a Taillow. A rather young and energetic Taillow. It chirped as if it was talking to Shine. But the girl had no clue what was going on as she had to ask Shion to translate it for her. The silver Pidgey nodded and translated whatever the Taillow was asking her. He had become an interpreter now. For every words she and the Taillow said.
+Erm, hi, trainer! What is that thing for?+ The Taillow asked. It seemed like it was asking Shine about the cape the Taillow snatched earlier. Which was now dirty because it fell to the ground. "That's a cape. It protects you from the cold wind." She answered honestly as she approached the cape she designed and decided to re-design it later. After all, it was now dirty and she had to wash it first if Lumi wanted to use it. The fire Pokemon won't need something like that though.
"Do you also want a cape? I didn't know if I can make a bird Pokemon like you a cape, but... Here. I made this with the leftover of the fabrics. Sorry that it's pink." She said to the Taillow as she offered a small collar with bright gems on it. "Ehee, the gems are just toys, but it helped, right?" She said as she gave it to the Taillow. "I wanted to make a scarf for Shion. But since it's made from leftovers, he won't like it. Besides, he doesn't like pinks. Maybe you do." She said to the Taillow.
"By the way, what are you doing here alone?" She asked. Although, the Taillow might just flying around. But she just can't help curiousness. Can she? [/blockquote]

Tailow's eyes shone with delight as it saw the pretty gems on the pink scarf. It was so shiny and nice! She twittered in delight, draping it around her neck. It suited her nicely. ~Oh, this is wonderful! So sparkly and pink and pretty and warm! Thankyouthankyou!~ she thanked Shine, very energetic by now. Tailow were known for flying to the warm climates, so it was only natural that one would like her own bit of warmth wherever she went.
This same fact also meant that it was rare to see a Tailow at this time of year, since most of them had gone to warmer regions for the winter. Shine's question was perfectly justified, since it was so unusual to see one of these birds. There were a number of possibilities as to what might have happened, and they were made even more unusual by the fact that this Tailow was fairly young. Shine was fairly lucky, it seemed.
Tailow squished her foot into the snow, making a footprint. Why was she here alone? She didn't like being alone. It made her sad. She wanted a companion. ~I'm grown up enough to leave my mummy and daddy now, but then it was time to leave for winter. It was my first time and I got lost. I was distracted, see, by meeting a Starravia. I'm very lonely without the flock.~ she explained, sounded quite sad. It seemed that it had been her curiousity that had got her into this in the first place.

Shine was happy to see that the Taillow loved the scarf. The swallow Pokemon cheerfully jumped around and thanked her. She was happy. This Pokemon was so energetic. Even though it was actually cold around. There are snows on the ground. It won't be a problem for Lumi since she was a fire type. But for Shion who disliked cold weather, it would be quiet a problem. And Shine was rather odd not to notice that until she saw the Taillow jumping around happily as it received her scarf. She looked at the Pidgey and apologized as well as promising him that she'll made him a black one, which was his favorite color later.
Then Shine asked her question about the Taillow. What it's doing and why it's alone. The Taillow immediately stopped moving and froze. Silence overwhelmed them. That was when Shine regretted her question. She looked at the Taillow with a scared face. She was afraid that she touched the wrong topic. The Taillow pushed her feet to the snow and then started to tell Shine her story. She said that she was a grown up now and was flying to warm country. However in the middle of that journey, she was separated from her flock and now she was alone.
Shine immediately apologized to the Taillow. She was one poor little Taillow. Being separated from her friends sure was sad. And there's nothing she could do. Shine could try looking for the flock. But knowing that Taillow was a flying Pokemon, it would be hard to find the flock. Maybe they are far away now. Or maybe they have arrived at that warm country. Still, looking for a clue won't hurt. Besides, it's not like Shine had anywhere to go. Gyms and contests wasn't her goal. She would try one or two, but they weren't her destinations.
She was there to train herself, yes. And helping a wondering Pokemon is what a breeder do. Or at least that was what Shine thought. She patted the Taillow's head and promised to her that she would help her. "I'll help you find your group. We might still be able to find a clue or two. Where did you last see them?" She asked. Offering a help to find the flock. [/blockquote]

Tailow shook her head. She felt a little uneasy that Shine was aplogising for her. She didn't really think she was worth all this fuss, and to be honest felt a little embarrassed by it. She looked at the ground, shuffling her feet awkwardly. ~You won't be able to find the flock. I was on the verge of abandonment because I am weak, and they left me at the beginning of winter to beat the cold.~ she explained, nodding a little as she went. She looked at Shine, right into her eyes. Tailow's were slightly sad.
~Life goes on, right? I can live without them. Unfortunately, I can't form my own flock, because I'm not that strong... I need someone else to help me. Hey! I know, I know! You're a trainer, right? Well, you make Pokémon stronger! What if you were to catch me? Oh, we could have a battle first as well!~ Tailow twittered in happiness, obviously very keen for her idea to become a reality. She was ready for a fight!

Hearing that the Taillow was abandoned by her friends saddened Shine even more. Of course Shine was a little mad at the Taillow's friends. They mustn't abandon her just because she's weak! Was what Shine thought. Then again, it might just be her and her little knowledge of the world. This world is crueler than she thought. The taillow made sad face and then looked at Shine. She saw the Taillow's eyes. The window to their heart. Yes, that deep dark blue eyes were sad. Those eyes told her that the Taillow was hurt. And was trying her best to keep up and looked normal.
Shine patted the Taillow's head once again. Sometimes what someone needs was just a little touch to the flesh. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." She said to the Taillow which was then interpreted by the Pidgey. Then the Taillow smiled and told her that life goes on. She can't just stand there forever. She had to become stronger. And that was to form a new flock. Then she asked Shine for a battle. The Taillow wanted her to catch her. But she won't let Shine catch her that easily. Shine had to battle her first.
The taillow was determined to battle Shine. Well, if Shine lost the battle, the Taillow would have made her own flock. But to help her become stronger, a battle would help her. Shine smiled at her and nodded. Shine accepted the battle as she looked at Lumi, her shiny Vulpix. "Would you lend me a hand. Lumi?" She asked the Vulpix. The Vulpix smiled. She knew that the trainer did the right thing. The female Vulpix nodded and agreed for a battle. The two of them get readied for fight. With Shine trying to focus and synched with her Pokemon and Lumi exercising a bit before the battle starts.
"Let's do this together, Luminous." She called for her Vulpix who nodded as she mentioned her full name. The Vulpix was ready for fight. Shine could see the Taillow was also ready for the battle. And then they started the battle. "Lumi, use Tail Whip!" She cried out. The Vulpix heard her and immediately started her attack. The golden furred Vulpix ran to the Taillow's side and wagged her fluffy tail on the Taillow, tickling her so she would lowered her defense. [/blockquote]

Tailow gave a delighted twitter of excitement as Shine sent forward Luminous the Vulpix. Ooh, a Fire type! And such a pretty one, too! The bird was very pleased to be fighting against a Pokémon like that. She felt the Tail Whip lower her defense. She knew that move! Tail Whip! She'd learnt most of her battling skills from watching the flock members fight against other Pokémon. The head of the group, a hardened Swellow, never lost any of its fights. How she longed to follow in its footsteps!
If she was to follow in his footsteps, though, she'd want to make some changes. She would be nice to her friends, and perhaps her flock would be this trainer and her team. The Flying type decided to try out an offensive move first. Swellow had done that to test his foes, so she should too! The bird swooped at Lumi with some expert flying skills, zipping in with an impressive Peck attack.

The Taillow seemed delighted to see the golden furred Vulpix. Luminous were confused with her acts, but whatever the Taillow was doing, she didn't care and didn't want to understand. The Vulpix managed to lower the Taillow's defense using her Tail Whip move. And the Taillow was getting more excited. Which confused the three of them. Shine, Lumi, and even Shion, who always seemed to know what was going on. This time, even the silver bird didn't know what the Taillow was thinking. But whatever it is, it must be good.
Then, the Taillow's expression changed. From the happy face into a more serious face. She closed her beak and flapped her wings faster in order to gain speed. She swooped forward to Luminous. Directly to her body. The Taillow's beak shone bright. The beak then hit Luminous's shoulder. Jabbed her right into her shoulder joint and made a painful damage. The fox Pokemon cried out in pain. Which made Shine panic. +Don't move, Shine. Focus on the battle, let the girl hold her pain. The faster you finish this battle, the less pain she gets.+ The silver bird advised. She looked at him and then stopped from approaching the fox.
The golden fox looked pained. At first that was painful, but after a few more seconds, the pain disappeared little by little. It was still painful, but she can still hold the pain. She looked at Shine and waited for her next command. The girl looked worried, but then shook her head and made a serious face. She'll do what the bird said. To finish this battle quickly so that both Pokemon won't get hurt much. "Use Ember!" Shine commanded. The fox immediately do what she said. She ran until she get closer to the Taillow, and then shot a few fireballs from her mouth. Hoping that it would hit the Taillow. [/blockquote]

Tailow watched as the Ember came towards her. Oh no, an attack! And it looked like it would be a strong one too! She didn't think she really wanted to be hit by this... so she would have to dodge, right? The bird tried, but failed, to do that. She was hit by the Ember, and it was even more painful than it had looked. That must be the Tail Whip in effect; her weakened Defense stat meant she was taking more damage from each move. She should look on the bright side, though! She was still battling, and she hadn't been burned by that move.
Tailow was ready to continue. After all, you couldn't mope around about a single hit, could you? She would be brave and move on regardless, fighting through the pain. Yeah, that way made it sound more impressive. Anyway, she fluttered to a point a little higher in the air so her next swoop was a little better. She aimed to land another Peck attack on Luminous, since that was the only offensive move she knew at this stage.

"Oh, I wonder if she'll be alright..." The girl muttered as she watched the Taillow hit by Luminous's ember attack. The fireballs managed to hit the poor bird's wings. And it seemed to burn a few of his feathers. However, the attack didn't manage to burnt Taillow's body. Which would be luck for the Taillow. +If you mean the Taillow, she'll be alright. Taillows are usually rock headed.+ The Pidgey added. It's true that whenever a Taillow got negative effects like BURN, PARALYZE, SLEEP, or FROZEN, it'll got its attack increased by one and a half. Thanks to its ability, guts.
The Taillow swooped down to Luminous. Again with her beak shone bright. She's going to do the same attack as before, which Luminous tried to learn the beat but failed as she got hit. "Luminous!" Shine cried out. The fox Pokemon got her back injured by the Taillow's peck attack. She felt like an old man with a crane now. Her back hurts like hell. She tried to stand, however although she managed to stand, the pain still hurts her. "Quick, use Ember!" Shine commanded. It would be hurtful if the girl asked the Vulpix to use physical attack like Tackle. So, for now, she'll go with Ember until the Vulpix was able to gain herself back to her normal condition. [/blockquote]

Tailow was pleased to see that on just the second turn, Luminous was already showing signs of pain and weakening. Tailow didn't feel extremely weak, but it had only taken one hit. Then again, her Defense stat had been weakened earlier. This Ember would be quite painful, as she had just learned. She didn't want to be weakened further or experience a Burn, no way. The bird managed to dodge, the heat barely singing a few back feathers.
Yes! She had managed to dodge successfully! But she couldn't resist that kind of extreme pain again. She needed to even her defense. Flying types didn't have very good defenses anyway, so she should definately make sure that wouldn't be a problem any more. She opened her beak and emitted a twittering and adorable sound, making herself look as cute and helpless as possible. This was a Growl attack; if Lumi's attacks were weaker, they'd deal the normal amount of damage on her with her low defense.

It seemed like the Taillow was stronger than she thought. The little bird had managed to dodge her Vulpix's ember. Which was actually shot pretty fast. Well, the bird grew quiet fast as well. She was a quick learner. It's good for the Taillow that she managed to dodge. "Great job on dodging Lumi's move, Taillow." Shine exclaimed as she watched how happy the Taillow look. The bird then smiled a serious smile this time. More like a smirk though, she flapped her wings to get her stay on the air and then opened her beak. She let out a cute cry. The golden furred Vulpix didn't knew what the swallow was doing as she was affected with the growl.
+Growl made your Pokemon's attack stat decreased.+ Shion informed. The girl listened to him before she focused her mind on the Vulpix. "Lumi, use Faint Attack!" She cried. The Vulpix smiled as Shine mentioned that one attack. That was her egg move, a move she learned even before she grew up. The move she knew very much and had mastered from a long time ago. This was an attack which hits without fail. The Vulpix disappeared as she launched the attack. It then appeared behind the Taillow and tackled the poor bird sneakily. [/blockquote]

Tailow was rather pleased with herself for sucessfully lowering Lumi's attack stat. Hooray! That meant that her lowered defense stat would be made up for! After all, if she took more damage but Lumi dealt less, they cancelled each other out, right? Whatever, Tailow was certain it worked. Then- the fox vanished into thin air. Just like that; poof, gone! Woah. Where had the Vulpix got too? Tailow's wings picked up speed as she looked around frantically. Soon her question was answered. Lumi reappeared directly behind Tailow, attacking the bird with the strong Faint Attack.
Tailow dropped a little in height, crying out in alarm and pain. Oh, what?! Where had that come from?! The Flying type had been totally unprepared, and vaugly recalled this move. Faint Attack, right? It was unmissable, so not the best of moves to be faced with. Ah. She would still go on, though; this was her first battle, and she didn't want to give up. Instead, she tried to block out the sting of the two attacks that had hit so far, and launched all her feathery joy at Lumi in a sharp Peck attack.
