The dark sky cried, it's freezing tears pouring down on a peculiar boy and his odd daemon. The first thing odd about the pair is that they were both male, which is very rare itself. The other is that the boy didn't seem to mind the falling rain at all. Actually, he seemed to enjoy it. The daemon was in it's vaporeon form, dancing around in the puddles. The boy, who's name happened to be Demyx, had dirty blond hair and wore a black coat, a long zipper going all the way down.
Demyx was carrying a sitar as well. He strummed a few notes and the rain changed directions, circling him. "What do you think of that, Myde?" he asked his daemon, smirking as he played some more. Myde, with a flick of his tail, splattered water all over his human. "~It's nice,~" he shrugged, shacking water off his body.
They approached a house. They had been told a professor lived there, on that helped young trainers. "Hmmm..." Demyx began, glancing at Myde, "Ready?" The vaporeon grinned back, "~Of course.~" Demyx dropped all his water and walked up to the door and, holding his sitar in on hand, tapped lightly on the door.

Professor Pine was inside the laboratory as usual, writing some complicated scietific theories down, pausing to check a few calculations and the like, occasionally scrapping something. He heard the knock on the door, and hurried over. He adopted his trademark smile as he opened the door, his Noctowl daemon, Telepa, on his shoulder adopting her trademark bored look.
A boy with a sitar? Why was he carrying a sitar? Most trainer he met went around with lightweight stuff. A sitar would just get in the way, right? He didn't seem to mind the rain, but there were plenty of places he could have come from which got so much rain no-one cared ((like where Birdy lives.)) His daemon was the same gender as him, which was pretty rare, but Pine had learned not to care about people's unusual traits. Sometimes they made him really dislike the person, but of course he couldn't say that to them. "Come on in, and tell us what Pokémon you'd like." he told Demyx.

Demyx nodded, holding his sitar now in both hands. He stepped inside and relized how many papers there were. He remembered how destroyed papers can get when they get wet, so, forgetting about the professor for a moment, he dragged all the liquid off of him and Myde, letting it play in the rain a little longer. He turned back to the professor, acting as if nothing had happened. "Ummm..." he began, "I haven't really thought about it..." Myde, still a vaporeon, padded over to the noctowl daemon. "~Hello,~" he greeted the daemon.

Professor Pine sighed. Demyx hadn't thought about it... well, that wasn't of much use to him at all, was it? He didn't see how he was supposed to give him a Pokémon if he didn't know what he wanted. Still, it was his job to make sure this kid got a starter. There was always a way; as the saying goes, where there's a will, there's a way. Usually, anyway. He put his hands in his pockets, unsure of what exactly he should do. "Well, you must have some idea of what you'd like, otherwise you wouldn't be here, would you? What Pokémon do you like? Fluffy ones, strong ones, and so on." he requested.

Demyx looked down for a moment, thinking. "I like fluffy ones, and water types..." he replied, returning his sea blue eyes to the professor, hoping that would help some. Myde transformed into a squirtle, climbing up onto his human's backpack, holding onto Demyx's shoulder as well.

Professor Pine nodded slowly. That was a little more helpfull than 'I don't know', but still more was to be desired. Fluffy and/or Water type... there were quite a few of those in the world. He supposed he could narrow it down from there by squeezing more information from him. He wondered how he would manage that, exactly. He could ask more questions, but maybe it would be easier to list some of the Pokémon that were fluffy or Water type. Perhaps both, to make the list shorter and easier to think up.
"OK, I can think of some fluffy Water types. Slowpoke, Spheal, Buizel and Beavern. Of course, Azuril, Eevee and Bidoof are fluffy too, but they aren't Water types, however their evolutions are. If you like any of those, tell me and I'll happily show you one." he told Demyx.

Demyx titled his head for a moment, considering the names he had been given. He'd seen most of them before, exept a Slowpoke, Azuril and Eevee, but he'd heard of them... and a Beavern? What was that? "Could I see the Buizel and Eevee?" he asked Professor Pine. He glanced at his daemon, who was now a mudkip and watching as his counterpart decided on a pokemon. "~What's a Beaveren?~" Myde wisphered in his ear curiously. "And what's a Beaveren?" Demyx added.

"Sure!" Pine nodded, grabbing two Pokéballs from his large filing cabinet. He prepared to release them to show the boy, but before he could do so Demyx had asked another question. He didn't know what a Beavern was? Well, that was perfectly understandable. "A Beavern is an Enera-exclusive Pokémon. They're very friendly and good swimmers... hey, it's easier if I show you one." he smiled, taking out a third Pokéball and releasing the three he now had.
The Eevee blinked as it emerged, spying the trainer. It was aware of the fact that it was cute and popular, and so began to show off a bit. It looked the sort who would be loyal but proud. Buizel was a tough Pokémon, perhaps a bit rebellious too, making a powerful leap onto a table where it smiled at Demyx, arms folded. Beavern moved a little closer to Eevee and yipped a greeting, the Eevee smiling back at it. It looked quite cheery, if a little shy. Pine looked at Demyx. "We have shiny versions of both Buizel and Beavern, if you're interested."

Demyx smiled as Professor Pine released the three pokemon. The Buizel and Beaveren were both water types, and seemed friendly, but the Eevee, he knew, could easily comunicate with the human because of it's evolution's DNA injected in him, besides, it could evolve into vaporeon, and that was on of his faveroite pokemon.
He looked at the Beaveren, it was soft and nice, then went to the Buizel, patting it on the head and smiling, then finally to the Eevee, stroking it's silky fur and noting it's personality. He stepped back to glance at them all once more before turning to the professor. "Could I have the Eevee, please?" he asked politly.

ooc// Pokémorphs can often communicate with all Pokémon... then again, Demyx is probably special since he doesn't look much like a Vaporeon, so maybe he can only understand certain Pokémon. Whatevers.
ic// Professor Pine had sort of guessed Deymx would pick the Eevee; there was something about him which made him think of Vaporeon. Probably... could he be a Pokémorph? It was very possible. He returned the Beavern and Buizel to their Pokéballs and stashed them in the drawer, handing Eevee's Pokéball to Demyx. "Eevee's quite a popular Pokémon, but they're still rather rare. They're generally quite hard work, but I'm sure you'll be up to the challenge." he smiled.
Telepa the Noctowl daemon then took off his shoulder, grabbing a drawstring bag off a shelf and dropping it into Demyx's hands from above. She nodded respect to him once she'd landed again on her human's shoulder. Eevee padded to its new trainer's side, impatient to leave. "Well, good luck, and have fun!" Pine waved goodbye. It was now time for Demyx to head out to Route One, which was presently covered in snow thanks to winter.

"Thank you, Sir," Demyx replied, smiling as he took the pokeball and caught the bag, "I am!" He slung the bag over one shoulder, next to his own original one, and picked up his sitar. "~Thanks~" Myde thanked the two, hopping off of his humans shoulder.
Demyx turned and left, his new Eevee padding on one side, his daemon on the other. "Let's go, guys," he told them, casting once last smiled at the professor and closing the door quietly behind him and stepping out into the cold rain.
OOC: Thanks ;D
