Etoile and Reuben were walking down Route 1. Not really expecting much but at the same time waiting for something interesting to happen. Etoile was hugging her Togepi egg and keeping it as warm as possible. She was afraid that as she was an Ice Faerie shge might make the egg too cold - she didn't want the Togepi inside to die. That was for certain. Reuben was floating alongside her and just staring ta her. Etoile looked like a mother. It was funny and disturbing at the same time. He didn't know what to do. Instead he decided to change the subject,
"Hey Etoile, have you even thought about introducing yourself to your new Lapras before we battle with it."
Etoile stopped and looked at the Shuppet daemon by her side. He had a point, but Etoile didn't want to leave the egg... Reuben rolled his icy eyes and then flew in front of Etoile, gazing at the egg,
"I'll look after it - don't worry."
Etoile nodded and smiled as Reuben surronded the egg in a psychic aura and allowed it to float beside him as the Shuppet's eyes glowed to indicate he had control.
Etoile rummaged around in the icy white shoulder bag she had brought iwth her to hold all of her items in. She reached out and a Pokeball was in her hand. She held it up and a bright red light released from the ball - spewing out across the grass in a large monster shape. The red light faded away to reveal a large Pokemon with blue, grey and cream colours. Etoile squealed in joy as she was overocme by happiness - looking at her very own Lapras. She ran over to the giant (compared to her) Pokemon. She inspected it - circling it to determine what kind of Pokemon her new Lapras was. Reuben felt quite awkward and a little sorry for the Lapras. Especially when Etoile hugged the Pokemon tightly. The Lapras, finally speaking up said,
"And what do you think you're doing little girl?"
The Lapras was staring down at her like she was an idiot. He was partly confused but mostly wanted her off of his neck. Etoile
looked up at the Lapras' eyes and smiled sweetly,
"I'm Etoile! Etoile de Glace, it's nice to meet you Ryuu! I hope we become a good team together!"
The Lapras looked down at the girl. This tiny creature was his new trainer? He didn't particularly want a small, insignificant little girl to be his partner but he couldn't do anything about it. Instead he lifted one large flipper and pushed the girl aside gently, a little annoyed,
"Ryuu? Is that what you have decided to call me? Am I allowed no say in my own personal affairs? And please do not show me such affection when it's our first meeting."
Etoile picked herself off the floor and smiled again; she wasn't annoyed that she'd been tossed aside.
"Yes. You're name's Ryuu. And you may avoid my affection, young sir, but I am able to do as I wish."
Etoile teased her new Pokemon as something nearby rustled in the vegetation. A wild Pokemon?
