I figured I might as well as least post in this forum, seeing as how I'm still debating on getting a character made and joining up. My attention has definitely been snagged though, considering I've been visiting the site on and off for the last two days since I saw the add at another forum it was posted at.
The only thing keeping me on the edge about joining is that I'm usually iffy about joining in randomly with boards like this, because I feel like there's going to be a big interesting plot that I have no place in at all, and I end up just sitting. (Also, I've gotten used to joining sites and...never getting posts, basically).
So I guess I'm just testing the waters with this post, sort of. What goes on right now, site-and-story-wise? Anything good?
(Annd as a quick question. I noticed the 'careers' section. Does a character need to be in a career? Or can they simply be a traveler that has a few pokemon for safety?)

Well, firstly I liked to say welcome, whether or not you stay, you'll alwyas be welcomed. ^_^ Anyway, plot wise? Well so far there has been a slight plot (but I've only just come back so I don't know too much) and basically there are two teams thaat have come to Enera, and tremendously they are very basically good and evil and characters are encountering starnge circumstances from now and again. But it's best to PM Birdy, I'm sure she'll help out . And yes, you do need a career. You can't just go about travellnig willy nilly (as I like to call it). But no matter which one you pick: trainer, cooridinator, ranger or breeder there isn't much difference except for the use of the Pokemon you have. So just pick one that suits you best. I hope I was helpful, and nice to meet 'cha. I'm Angel ^_^ that's what everyone calls me anyway

Cool. I think I'll wait a little bit to PM anyone and just sit on this board for a bit (Got plenty of homework to keep me busy anyway xD)
But since my character would need a career, I'm wondering if you guys have any link to some sort of information on the ranger occupation? I tried looking on wikipedia for what the job entailed, but all I was able to find was information/synopsis-es on the games, and information on how their styler-thing works.

Have you checked Enera? I think there's a paragraph about it on this link that I think might be able to help. P.S Click on the THIS LINK part above

Yes, you can be a ranger As for the plot... well, right now there's an evil team called Team Tsuasa, and some ancient ruins have been uncovered. Inside those ruins were found a warning which was ignored by Team Tsuasa. The team then moved on to releasing what it warned about; Spirit Pokémon. Light Pokémon then started to appear, fighting the evil. It'll be advanced a fair bit next Thursday, provided we have plenty of active members.

Ohh, so that's just starting. I'd read that part in the ad that was posted that I saw, didn't realize it was a just-starting-now plot. That's cool.
I'll start working on a character then. I found a bit of info on rangers on the bulbapedia site, but it's kind of thin so it only gives a sort of vague idea. Would it be unheard of for a 21 year old to have reached Top Ranger rank? (I'm not looking at it for the rank so much as the freedom the rank gives them xD )
And one more question (Sorry, lots of them it seems) I didn't see anywhere in the 'pokemon rules' about what level a new character can have a pokemon at? And...I'm assuming the daemon pokemon don't have levels xD
Also, I don't think I read anything about it in the pokemon rules, when

I'd advise you start around the midway Ranger Rank at most, so you have something to work for. Rangers don't fight in Pokémon battles, they use their sytlers to ring around Pokémon. They use these Pokémon to help them in their missions, and once they've been used they leave. They have a partner Pokémon too. You can either get this from the lab, or you can have already. Level 21 is the VERY MOST you can have, but you can get it higher later. Daemons aren't allowed to fight, since they're you soul, not a Pokémon.

So then my question is, I read in the career rules and such that Rangers in general are allowed to go wherever. Even though they technically need to be given missions, an Area Ranger would be allowed to do that? (Or perhaps I could just say that their mission was to try looking in to/investigating the new happenings that are going on? )
I figured that, with the daemon thing xD I'm already looking around for a good partner pokemon.

Yeah, there's a Ranger Base in every town, so just pick one and get a mission.

Alright, I think I've got just about all the questions answered xD I'll get to seriously working on a character. Should be up within a day or to, done in between homework and such.
