Mina twitched he head forcefully to stare at the chubby Teddiursa that seemed to like its backchat, aiming a delicate 'tch' at the Pokemon before the scratch hit and casued some pain on impact. Standing a little way away she uttered a smirk at the Pokemon and smugly stated,
"And why don't you stop trying to think up so many poor nouns to call your opponent whilst you're in the middle of a battle?"
Rima didn't understand what Mina or the Teddiursa were saying but it seemed Ven was arguing with the Shiny Meowth's concentration as usual. Sighing, she cupped her hands over her mouth and called out encouragingly,
"Mina! I want you to run closer to me, make a distance between you and Teddiursa!"
Mina's felin ears twitched and with a graceful backflip, jumped away from the chubby bear and landed a few feet in front of Rima. Rima nodded and smiling with a clenched fist whispered to her cat Pokemon,
"Now use a growl, and don't move from that spot."
Mina didn't know what she was doing this for, but Rima probably had a plan like she always did. So she let out a delicate, purring growl that would lower the opponent's attack and nothing else. Without any rage being taken out, Mina satisfied herself with a small, quick chuckle and raised ehr head and slanted it to the side with a wry smile and shouting calmly to the Teddiursa,
"Come and get me, Chubby."

Teddiursa felt no attack. Nothing. Haha, how funny. Was it possible that the obnoxious Meowth had had enough? She was still in the battle, it saw. That was so strange. Why would she go away? It heard the Growl, feeling a little angry as it's Attack stat was lowered. Was it so she could use the Growl? No, she would have been able to do that anyway. Teddiursa snarled, unsure.

In the end, Teddiursa chose to do what Mina had told him. The reason wasn't because she had said to get her, it was more thanks to it's competative nature. It wasn't one to let things like this go, especially when she'd called it chubby. Teddiursa yowled, lunging forwards for a furious Scratch attack. It was, of course, near to Mina because of this.

Rima saw the Teddiursa come close to her Meowth. Great! Exactly how she planned. It was slow when it came to movement, if Mina could keep her distance throughout and then lunge in for attacks sometimes, she could easily make it easier. If only she knew a special move that could be used from a distance... Oh well, that's what she was going to get the TM's for later. She shouted as soon as the Teddiursa lifted a foot,
"Pounce onto its arm and use Bite!"
Mina listened and acted immediately, she leapt off teh ground and opened her jaw as the bear claw came closer. It scathed her as she passed it, scratching her back slightly but she clasped the same arm that had just scratched her in her jaws. And clamped down tightly.

Teddiursa felt more pain than it had been expecting. More pain than it had braced itself for. Howling in pain, Fake Tears leaked from it's eyes to lower Mina's Special Defense stat. This would mean that the cat would feel more damage from it's moves. Teddiursa shook it's hurt arm madly, trying to shake the shiny Meowth off. Eventually it managed to break free, although it most likely wouldn't be using it's arm too much in a hurry.

Teddiursa whimpered sadly, stroking it's painful arm. Scratch was out of the question- what was it to do, then? Oh, right! Teddiursas learned Covet at level 1! Teddiursa sent a stream of pink hearts at Mina. Unlike it's Scratch attacks, this was a regular speed and power. However, Mina's Defense had been lowered.

OOC:// I'm not sure if I'm allowed to just suddenly through a TM at Mina and let her gain a move during the battle. So I won't, but I just wondered is it allowed? Or do I have to wait until the battle's over?

IC:// Mina was shrouded with the pink hearts as they hit into her and burst like several pins stabbing into her body. This hurt! Who could have thought such pain was felt from cute, pink hearts? The Shiny meowth was feeling a little weak now; several attacks had already hit and battling was no easy feat! But she managed to stay upright and focused, turning back to look at her trainer for some guidance. Rima stared at the abttling, pursing her lips to one side in thought. What now? Scratch seemed out fo the question for the Teddiursa so getting too close wouldn't be much of a problem would it? But those fake tears could only hit from close range and in order to attack, Mina needed to get close.... This was prolematic. But Rima had no choice,
"Use scratch Mina. Use the move we trained with! See if it works!"
Mina nodded. That move that had seemed so natural but Mina had only ever used it once.... Oh well. They had to practice to see what kind of opponents it was effective against. She ran at full speed toward the chubby bear and when she was quite close, pounced into the air and sent her front two legs strecthed out forward - claws spewing from the tufts of fur. As she passed over the Teddiursa she crossed her front legs in a downward motion as she flipped forwadrd. Hoping to scratch the Teddiursa's face in a cross like pattern as she did so.

ooc// Yes, Rima can teach a TM to Mina during the battle.

ic// Teddiursa attempted to wriggle out the way of the criss-crossed Scratch attack. Unfortunately, despite it's efforts, Mina just managed to catch it with the brutal move. It was off target, but most of it still swiped over Teddiursa's face. It howled in pain. The seriously hurt! A face was a sensitive thing; the eyes and nose hurt especially when struck. Teddiursa experienced this thanks to Mina, and did not like the fact at all. Teddiursa did not have much left to fight until it fainted.

Since Lick would have no effect and Scratch would involve using it's damaged arm, Teddiursa had no choice but to use another Covet attack. The little pink hearts were smaller this time, the attack's lower power reflecting on Teddiursa's low power.

Mina landed swiftly and sharply, but as she did so she was hit once more by popping pink hearts, each one inflicting pain. Her spine curled up, her hackles raising as she hissed. Mina was losing patience and health, and fast. Ven watched, as well as he liked to see the feline suffer, losing a battle to a chubby teddy bear was probably too harsh. He looked up at Rima, staring at her for inspiration. And then it hit him. He stared up at his huamn, wiggling his flipper like tail against her leg and saying in a sarcastic tone,
"Rima, what about those? We bought them remember. One of them would be useless against this opponent though, bare that in mind."
Rima jolted and threw a fist downward into her other hand as she realised it. She rummaged around in her pocket and pulled out one of the things she had bought. She drew back her arm and threw the object calling out to her Pokemon,
"Mina! Grab this!"
The Shiny Meowth startled and looked a her trainer as something came flying at her. Mina turned around and leapt into the air, clasping the object in her mouth like a frisbee. When she landed she looked at it adn realised it was a disk, staring at it, it had a slight blue tinge to it and was suddenly absorbed into her body.

Mina didn't know where the disk ahd disappeared to, or even what it was - but she had never seen one before so it was to be expected. Rima watched in happiness as the TM move was learnt by her Shiny Meowth and pointing dramatically at the Teddiursa, yelled proudly,
"Mina! Aerial Ace!"
Mina showed her trainer a puzzled look. Aerial Ace? Since when did she know that? But then she realised.... A TM! That disk must have been a TM! Spinning round, a smug smile on her face, Mina dashed forward with the power flying type mouth that coudln't be avoided, a silver trail following behind her movements as she lunged in for a speedy and unavoidable attack.

Teddiursa watched with some interest as Rima threw Mina something. What was that thing, that little disc? As a wild Pokémon, the teddy bear didn't know much about man-made items. The Normal type had, of course, heard about a human's miricle move discs before, but it had never seen one so of course could not recognize one. It heard Rima order the Meowth to use an Aerial Ace. At first, Teddiursa frowned, deeply confused, but then it identified the TM for what it was.

Unfortunately, Aerial Ace was a strong move. Aslo unfortunately, it was unavoidable. Put this together with a severely weakened Pokémon like Teddiursa and the outcome would not be too good for the bear. It was hit, of course, by the powerful attack, flung backwards by the force. The force of it flinging Teddiursa needen't have happened, however; it had fainted before then.

Teddiursa fainted! Mina gains two levels!

Mina watched as the Teddiursa fainted. She had won and learnt a new move too! Fake Out. This SHIny Meowth sure was getting stronger. Passing the unconscious bear she made her way elegantly back to Rima, snutting at Ven (the daemon) who never really believed in her. Ven rolled his eyes and gaev up the argument for today. Mina looked up at Rima and said,
"Is it alirght if I return to my Pokeball now? I wish to rest."
Ven translated and Rima replied,
"Not just yet! I have something else for you."
She scurried around in her pocket for something and pulled out a purple coloured disk and gently put it on Mina's head. Mina absorbed the second TM and learnt the move Shadow Ball. With a range of new move types, the Shiny Meowth returned to her Pokeball.

Rima saw the Teddirusa unconscious. She didn't really want another normal type added to her team... But she couldn't leave it there... Instead Rima placed Pichu gently on the floor and walked over to the chubby bear, Picking him up - boy was he heavy! - she placed him next to a tree, in hope that more of his kind would smell the honey near him and come to his rescue. Rima returned to Pichu and Ven and smiled down at them, hands folded in front of her and bending down slightly,
"Shall we carry on the Route then?"
Ven gave a small smile and muttered a small chuchkle, Pichu staring at him n wonder, before he replied,
"Alright then."
So the Vaporeon daemon, Pichu companion and human trainer continued down the Rouet in hopes of doing some training.

ic// A faint singing could be heard in the distance. It made you oddly drowsy... but why? The singing grew louder as Rima grew nearer to the source, all the while making everyone within earshot of it feel sleepy. Eventually, the sound became words rather than a faint humming.

~In de jungle, de might-y jungle, de Arcanine sleeps to-night! In de jungle, de might-y jungle, de Arcanine sleeps to-night! Oh-weee...~[/color] and so on. Ven the daemon would be able to translate the lyrics.

As the song grew louder, the cause of it walked- or rather, flew- into view. A Swablu, a pretty rare Flying type. Swablu were not known to make people sleep with their singing, but they could learn the move Sing and as a result, their singing made people drowsy. This one was bobbing up and down in the air in time to its singing, and its face lit up as it saw Rima. Falling silent and fluttering over, it spoke, knowing Ven would translate. ~Hihi, trainer! I just saw another trainer with a big, strong Arcanine! Do you like my singing?~[/color] it asked happily.[/size]

OOC:// Sure! But before you do can you tell me what's with jaxamar's random post at the end?

IC:// Rima's legs began to grow slightly weak and she suddenly felt the song of a Swablu. It was obvous the singing was of a Swablu because all Rima could hear was:
"Swa, Swa, Swablu, Swa, Swa, Swa, Swablu, Swa, Swa, Swa, Swa, Swabluuuuuuu!......[/b]"
Pichu began to feel incredibly drowsy, being a small, innocent, baby Pokemon he was more vulnerable and he fell asleep on Rima's shoulder, losing his grip and falling. Rima managed to catch him before he hit the ground and sighed with relief. When Rima looked down at Ven, the Vaporeon daemon looked at her and jolted backwards a little,
"No way am I translating THAT! You know how terrible my singing is!"
Rima pulled a disappointed, baby like face, her mouth going to one side in annoyance. She really wanted to know what the Pokemon was singing! She sighed and held the sleeping Pichu in her arms like a baby.

Then the song grew louder and the Swablu appeared, fluttering by Rima. Rima smiled happily! A Swablu! A Swablu! of all the bird Pokemon out there, Swablu was the one Rima loved the most! It began to say something and Rima's eyes quickly looked below at Ven for his help. Sighing heavily he said,
"It just saw a trainer with an Arcanine and its wants to know if you like its singing."
Rima pouted a little. It was obvious that the Swablu was a little more enthusiastic than that - after all she had heard the TONE it had used, just not the words. She smiled happily at the Swablu, wanting to cuddle it, but unable to with Pichu in her arms. Instead she enthusiastically replied,
"I love your singing! It's beautiful and full of energy! Nice to meet you I'm Rima!" she pointed down at the Vaporeon, "This is my daemon Ven, don't mind his grouchiness. And Pichu here is accompanying us. I have 6 Pokemon with me too but it'd take too long to introduce you to all of them. Anyway... What brings you here?"
Rima waited patiently for the Swablu to answer, a wide happy smile still on her face.[/font]

ooc// He and I have agreed to travel together for some part of the route, and for some reason he must have felt the need to randomly remind me of that. It's all right, you can just ignore it. Obviously, don't ignore it when he posts in character, which will probably be after the battle.

ic// Swablu gave a joyous somersault in the air as she heard that Rima liked her singing. Hooray! The cheerful bird looked at Ven and then to Pichu. ~Aw... what a cute little Pichu!~[/color] she chirrped, fluttering about the mouse excitedly. Exactly why she was excited was anyone's guess- in fact, she'd quite like to know that fact herself.

Swablu nodded as Rima stated that it would take a while for her to introduce all six of her Pokémon. She wondered what kinds of Pokémon she had caught and met, but she supposed she might find that out at some point anyway. ~I'm just flying about the route, I guess. I like it when I see nice trainers. I like to see their Pokémon; some day, I want to have seen all the different Pokémon in the world!~[/color] Swablu grinned, landing on Rima's head. ~What about you, what do you want to do?~[/color] she asked.[/size]

OOC:// Okie, dokie then I'll get right to it!

IC:// Rima smiled happily as the Swablu landed on her head, it didn't hurt - in fact it was quite soothing as the Pokemon was very heavy and the way it leant its head down as it spoke form the blonde covered head was quite amusing. And then the question came,
"Me?"
Rima stated, looking up happily at the Swablu. She then lowered her gaze forwrad, staring into space with an emotionless expression,
"I want to become a great Pokemon trainer and to be best friends with all my Pokemon, not just having a trainer-Pokemon relationship! And... and... maybe find out some clues as to where I came from...."
Ven sighed heavily once more, distress located in it. Whenever someone asked about the past or teh future it would always come to this depressing moment. He walked in front of Rima, hoping to get a better view at the Swablu. He tried to change the topic,
"And right now we're looking for Pokemon to battle so that our team can become stronger so if you don't mind....."
Ven held out a paw in the opposite direction. He really wasn't a fan of over etnhusiastic Pokemon, despite how he could be a times. But Rima's team were really lagging in strength so they needed a strong Pokemon to fight or a double battle at least.

Swablu gave a smile. A battle? She was pretty certain that Ven was asking for a battle. She would really prefer to continue to get to know Rima, and she especially wanted to know why Rima was searching to know 'where she came from'. What did that mean, exactly? Did Rima never know her parents? Or maybe she couldn't remember anything? Swablu could only guess as to what was the girl's reason for wanting to know that. She couldn't blame her; whatever the reason had been, Swablu was sure she would want to know the very same thing.

Well, Swablu knew that that fact was something she might learn eventually. At any rate, the time for it was not know. The bird fluttered her wing, rising in the air a little before landing softly on the ground. ~All right, I guess. I'll battle.~[/color] she told Ven. She didn't normally fight the trainers she came across, but she would give it a go.[/size]

Rima watched as the Swablu flew gently onto the ground. She cocked her head, unsure of what the Swablu was doing. She looked to Ven for a translation. But as soon as she saw her daemon she backed away a litt.e He was surrounded in atmospheric flames and anger was obvioulsy raging through his body as he glared at the Swablu. It looked like Ven didn't quite like this overenthusiastic and overenergetic bird Pokemon. Rima was shocked and then laughed a little, poking Ven with one foot and smiling - asking him for a translation.
"It doesn't mind battling."
Ven instantly realised what he had said. If he hated this Swablu so much he oculd have lied about the translation and said how it wanted to leave and never come back - he could have manipulated the situation to aid his emotions. But he didn't. Caught up in the moment he spewed the truth. The annoying truth. And he sighed as he slumped to the floor.

Rima smiled and looked at the Swablu. She now had 6 Pokemon to choose from that could battle it. Kei? No, he had just battled and was weak against flying types. She'd heal him later and fight another battle. Mina? No. She had just fought too and Rima doubted the feline would want to chase after an opponent that used the sky. Tamaki? No. He had fought Kei for a short while and was weak against flying types too. Arwan? No. He was the strongest one in the team, fighting the Swablu would make him too strong for the moment and the other team members would lag behind. Rima was running out of options. She now had a choice. Rini or Entei. Entei was a Legendary Pokemon so he was strong, but his level quite weak - plus the only attack move he knew was bite, and Rima doubted that an Entei grasping a fluffy, tiny Swablu in its mouth was considered fair. So there it was. It had to be. Rini! Taking a Pokeball from the front pockets of her dress, Rima threw a Pokeball forward and shouted,
"Introduce yourself to your opponent Rini!"

With a sudden flash of red light, the colour faded into the shape of a Pachirisu. A female. Rini blinked a few times before going on all fours and wiggling her tail - glad to be out of her Pokeball. Looking around she saw that her arch nemesis, the shiny meowth, was not around and then gave an evil stare at the Swablu opposite and saying in a kind, but confident way,
"Nice to meet you Swablu, Name's Rini. Ready?"
