Riza stared in amazement at the Route before her. "It's so... GREEN!" She practically squealed as Kaiser, Leafeon-formed behind her, laid his ears back against his head at her high-pitched voice. Riza didn't seem to notice, but pulled a Pokeball off of a magnetic necklace around her neck. With a toss, a flash of light poured out and became a Buizel. "You need a name. What should I call you..." She pondered this for a few seconds before the Buizel said, "You know, I had a name in the wild. I was named Rinika."
"Rinika! It's a perfect name!" Riza shouted happily.
"Welcome to the family, Rinika." said Kaiser with a smile. At that, Rinika bounced happily through the grass and poked her nose into every hole and bush as if the world couldn't be better while Riza skipped happily along and Kaiser trotted behind her, shifting into a Growlithe.

~Nyi, nyi!~
~Do, ran ran RAN!~
The sounds of argueing Pokémon drifted across the route. The source was directly in Riza and Kaiser's path; if they hadn't heard the squabbling, they would certainly see it. As the scene came into view, there was a Rattata, Weedle, Hoppip and Mankey desperately trying to separate two Pokémon. Among the paws and tails and grunts, it was difficult to see or hear them now the other Pokémon had tried to stop them.
As Riza came into view, the Mankey spotted her. He pointed, and the Pokémon looked at her. Well, that is, all except the arguing ones. They were still being restrained, just they were now moving slowly closer rather than slowly apart. Mankey called out to Riza. Well, Kaiser. ~TRAINER! OVER HERE! HELP!~
The fighting Pokémon turned out to be a male and female Nidoran. They were trying their best to claw at each other, neither of them having much success. Mankey turned to Riza again. ~Please defeat one of them or something. These two do nothing but fight and annoy us!~ he exclaimed.

"Erm..." was all Riza could say. She had never seen two Pokemon trying to fight each other so much. "Don't just stand there, Tell Rinika to use an attack or something!" Kaiser said behind her. Rinika only looked back at Riza, waiting for a command. "Umm... Rinika, use Quick Attack on the male Nidoran and umm... Sonic Boom on the female Nidoran! All of you other Pokemon, move!" She had heard that female Nidoran had poisoned spikes... or was it the other way around? Before she had time to really figure it out, Rinika crashed into the male Nidoran using Quick Attack and the jumped in the air, releasing a Sonicboom on the female.

Both Nidoran easily dodged the attacks, then rushed forward and began to fight furiously again. The other Pokémon instantely rushed forward and attempted to drag the two raging Pokémon apart. ~N-no! Stop! Stop it!~
All heads turned to a puppy Pokémon. The Growlithe padded towards the female Nidoran, and nodded. They appeared to be friends. Growlither smiled, her pale teeth glimmering in the light. ~Think ahead. If you catch both Nidoran, they'll still fight! But, if you only catch one, they'll never see each other again.~ she declared. The Nidoran nodded, smiling. They liked that idea. ~So, if you want a double battle, fight me instead of the female. You do have other Pokémon, right?~ she asked, eyeing Rinika.

Erm... yeah, I do!" Riza was still a little confused. Catch one... but which one? She pulled a Pokeball from the belt around her waist. She tossed it into the air and yelled, "Come on out, Twilla!" Once more light protruded from the Pokeball, but this time it shaped into a cat-like Pokemon, with flickering flames coming from its body. It was a Pylenti, a little female, and she stared out at the other Pokemon calmly but cautiously. "All right, our first battle, and a double battle at that! Come on Twilla and Rinika, we can win this!" Se was beginning to feel more certain about herself; she wasn't one to hold on to nervousness for long. Now she was rather excited. Kaiser turned into a Taillow and flew to her shoulder. Although he usually tried to hide his feelings under a sensible and serious look, he was excited as well.
"Rinika, use Quick Attack on the Growlithe! Twilla, use Scratch on the Nidoran! Come on guys, we can do this!"
Each of the Pokemon immediately jumped to attention to use their respective moves on the target oppoents, Rinika racing at the Growlithe and Twilla running at the Nidoran with her claws extended and the flames burning on her back.

ooc// You're not fighting using the Nidoran, you're fighting the male Nidoran and the Growlith using two of your Pokémon.

Growlithe and Nidoran were both hit by their attacks. Growlithe first, for Quick Attack was a faster move. The puppy let out a low 'oof' as the Buizel pounded into her chest, sending her sliding backwards a little. She swayed low to the ground, but caught herself before she could fall and growling in anger. A warning growl, emitted by instinct. She turned to Rinika, who must have been still near that soon after impact, her jaws wide as she prepared to use Bite.
Nidoran failed to restrain himself from whimpering as the claws slashed along his body, making him erupt in pain. The little Pokémon remained where he was for a moment, not daring to get up and face the pain again. But the female would think he was a wimp. That would not be good, then she'd have something over him. He roared as he reared up, dashing towards the Pylentyl, using Peck.

"Yeah! All right!" exclaimed Riza, jumping into the air happily. Kaiser flew of her shoulder and didn't seem to pay much attention to Riza's excitement. "Watch out!" he yelled at Rinika and Twilla.
Rinika, having just landed a Quick Attak, was slightly unbalanced. A moment later she felt teeth meet like needles in her shoulder and let out a yelp of pain.
Twilla was faring much better. She had always been more cautious, and knew to keep her enemy in sight. As the Nidoran charged at her with a Peck, she leaped up to dodge her opponent.
Riza, now realizing the battle was still going on (whether from her daemon's warning or from Rinika's yelp), was immediately shouting commands. "Rinika, use Slash! Twilla, you use Scratch again!"
Rinika turned to the Growlithe as best as one can when their opponent is latched to their shoulder like a leech and swiped her claws at the Growlithe's nose, letting out a fierce snarl.
Twilla, meanwhile, was still in midair when she extended her claws to scratch the Nidoran she had just been able to dodge.

Growlithe was surprised how much the Buizel had changed for the battle as the fighting spirit had left her to her instinct. Well, it wasn't surprising, in that sense. She blinked as she jumped backwards from Rinika's snarl, saving her from what would have been a painful attack as her claws swiped a few centimetres from Growlithe's face. Woah, that was a close one. The dog wouldn't have dodged if Rinika hadn't snarled, alerting her and making her wince away from the terrifying sound. Growlithe barked, surprised at how feral her own voice sounded at the moment, then, snarling, lunged forwards for another Bite.
Nidoran let out a squeal of anger as Twilla dodged. He ran below her, beak-like mouth ready to Peck her when she came back down to earth- nothing could jump forever that couldn't fly. Including the Pylentyl! Nidoran then noticed that Twilla had extended her claws. She was about to come down. Uh-oh, that was not good news. Not in the least. The Nidoran attempted to run, but Twilla landed first and attack. Retaliating while the claws still scratched, Nidoran turned around and prepared a Peck.

Rinika had been fully expecting her claws to hit the Growlithe, and was more than surprised when her claws met nothing but air. And then she realized the puppy Pokemon was no longer biting her shoulder. Where could the Growlithe be? Well, alerted by the Growlithe's own snarl, she was easily able to figure that much out. She whirled around and instinctively jumped back in the way one does when they are being charged at by an angry and quite potentially dangerous dog. Without even waiting for Riza's command, she let out a couple Sonicbooms at the oncoming furious ball of fur.
This time, it was Twilla who wasn't doing as well. The Nidoran had been waiting for her attack, thogh she hadn't been planning on the counter-attack. That is to say, she was hit by the Nidoran's Peck attack. She let out a mew of pain (being a kitten, after all) and retaliated using her claws in a frenzied Scratch attack, not caring where she aimed and rather aiming everywhere.
Riza, meanwhile, felt like the battle was a bit out of her hands, seeing as to how her Pokemon were doing everything without her command. Instead, she cheered her Pokemon on and, picking up her cue, the Taillow-formed Kaiser flew in circles over the Pokemon's heads and did the same.

Growlithe winced as the Sonicbooms collided with her, despite her efforts to twist out the way. She just wanted to hit. To get the attack in successfully. She wasn't going to give up just because of a little pain. She wouldn't even give up under a huge mount of attacking Buizels! To her, there was just her and her target. The space in between didn't matter, it was just a thing in the way. She charged straigt along that space now, growling and snarling madly, wincing every time she stepped on her front left paw. Perhaps a Sonicboom had hit it? Not much time to ponder that; Growlithe was now lunging in the attack she wanted to use to badly. Her Bite began, her jaw widnening.
Nidoran wore a puzzled expression as Twilla began randomly Scratching, attempting to move to one side and dodge the flailing claws and paws at the same time. This was not an easy feat, and on more than one occasion Nidoran was struck by the raking claws, crying out in pain. Finally, he leapt back a metre or so, then attempted to make his way through the claws to use a Peck.

As the attacks connected, Riza was smart enough to review the situation before thinking once more that she had won. This was what she had learned from this, her very first battle. It wasn't really in her personality to stop and worry about it, but then again, she'd never had to deal with a real Pokemon battle before. What alerted her most was the Growlithe; she attacked with a single intent and refused to give in. The Nidoran was also focused on attacking, but was more timid than the Growlithe.
Riza turned her attention to Rinika first. "Rinika, let the Growlithe get close, then use Slash! And Twilla, keep using Scratch, but aim for the Nidoran's face!"
Rinika raised her needle-sharp claws, ready to strike, but was too late for the Slash; the only thing she managed to do was make her left arm the target, and yelped as the Growlithe bit into her fur and skin. But her attack wasn't fazed; rather, she took advantage of the opportunity to Slash at the Growlithe's face, seeing as to how close the Growlithe was to her.
Twilla heard Riza's command as well, and waited for the Nidoran to come close to Peck before swiping at the Nidoran once more, much like Rinika was with the Growlithe, but in a less powerful swing.

Growlithe murmered a muffled 'uff' of triumph as her teeth successfully met Rinika's arm. The dog Pokémon bit down harder, wanting to get in as much damage to the Buizel as possible before she managed to shake Growlithe off. She hung on with all her might, hearing Rinika's yelp of pain, giving her a little motivation. She smiled through her living mouthfull, glad that things were actually working out for once. She then felt claws raking down her face, and screamed in pain. This made her let go on Rinika's arm, and she shrank away from the pain and the Buizel. She understood that Rinika would have retaliated at some point, but hadn't thought it would have been quite that painful. She pawed her tender nose, wimpering. She then growled, which turned into a lunging attack, jaws open. Another Bite, but the Slash had hit her nose and so her balance, and so she was unlikely to hit this turn.
Nidoran was waiting for Twilla to attack first, so for a few moments, the two just stood motionless, waiting for the other to do something. Nidoran lost his patience first. He cried out his frustrasion at the bad position, running up to Twilla to attack. Before the Peck could strike it's mark, the Pylentyl had bent over and Scratched him. He let out a squeal of anger and pain, then lunged in with the Peck from earlier.

ooc// sorry it took so long to reply, my laptop had been having many problems so I shipped it to Dell for them to work out, and just got it back. But in the meantime, I made a lot of new sprites on my other, internet-less computer ^-^
Riza gasped as the Growlithe bit into Rinika’s arm, not realizing that it was part of the little Buizel’s strategy. Then Rinika slashed at the Growlithe’s exposed nose, causing the puppy to let go, but not without a token of its effort. Rinika’s paw went up to the arm where the Growlithe had bitten, and it was obvious that the Growlithe had bitten hard before Rinika could deal her blow. In the meantime, the puppy Pokemon had shrunk away, whimpering and pawing at her nose. Then, as if she hadn’t been whimpering a moment before, she growled and lunged at Rinika, but it was clear that the attack from Rinika had done more than just harm the Growlithe, it had disoriented her too. Her balance seemed off, and her attack would be easy to dodge.
Twilla had managed to Scratch the little Nidoran, abruptly ending the Peck attack before it could hit her. But the Nidoran wasn’t giving up yet! They were already rather close to each other, and so when the Nidoran charged in with a Peck, squealing, it crashed into the Pylenti’s stomach. Twilla fell backwards with a yowl, unbalanced by the Nidoran’s attack.
Riza was ready to give the commands, being more sure of herself in commanding her Pokemon. It was also beginning to look like they were listening to her more, too, waiting for her commands. ”Rinika, jump up and use Sonicboom at the Growlithe! Twilla, keep on going with Scratch!”
Rinika leaped up into the air and swung her tail in an arc, causing crescent blades of wind to fly at the Growlithe. Twilla, meanwhile, twisted over to Scratch at the Nidoran while she caught her breath.
