ooc// I'll talk to her at school.
ic// The Pokéball began to judder and shake as Ekans was absorbed inside; a perfectly normal reaction from Ekans. However, as a new trainers, Alex would probably find this rather frustrating. Would the Ekans be caught? The Pokéball moved slowly to the left, jerked back to the right, jerked, moved slowly, and kept repeating an irregular pattern. However, finally, the Pokéball pinged, indicating a successfull capture. Phew. A faint hoot came from somewhere far away; night had begun to draw in.
Ekans was caught!

Alexander smiled, and he picked up his newly caught Ekans, whom he would name, 'Hydra'. It wasn't a very accurate name as a hydra usually had more than one head, but it still was a snake, and to Alexander, it fit nicely. Placing the Pokeball on his belt, he turned to Thistle. "Well, I suppose I should heal you-" Alexander knew it was getting dark, and new that it was not safe to simply walk around with a poisoned Pokemon. He walked over to Thistle, and knelt down. He pulled out the Antidote from his coat and sprayed it on her arm-and it immediately healed. Thistle looked at him, and nodded as if in thanks, however her attention was soon drawn to the sky as she looked up at it in awe.

ooc// Okey dokie, then.
ic// A scamper of feet could be heard as a Pokémon scurried away from something. It sounded distant. Oh, wait- I stand corrected. It was near, very near. A yelp sounded as a Rattata scampered away from a rather large Poochyena, who gave it a half-hearted playful snap, just to scare it. Hehe. Scaring Pokémon was fun. The dog hadn't noticed Alexander yet, and sat cleaning a paw.
At the same time, another Pokémon was heading towards them; a Lotad. The Grass and Water type was trying to find a nice spot to rest for the night, and looked quite disappointed as it came out to where Alexander was. It too hadn't noticed him. Well, they were both about to leave; Alexander would only have enough time to interact with one. Which one would that be? Lotad or Poochyena?

Alexander looked up from Thistle, and was about to join her at looking at the stars when the noises around them caught his attention. He was always taught to keep his senses open, and immediately, he stood up, and watched the darkness that began to spiral around them. Masquerade watched as well, her yellow eyes ready to alert him if any thing caught their attention. "Alex, there is a Lotad-" she nodded to the direction the Lotad appeared, "and a Poochyena." She nodded to the Poochyena. "Is Thistle ready? Then decide."
Alexander then looked over to Thistle who still seemed to watch the stars. "Thistle." Thistle seemed startled, and she turned to look at Alexander, "are you ready for another battle?" Thistle stood, and nodded. Even when tired she still seemed ready to give it one more go, "alright-I want you to start off with targeting the Poochyena, start it off with Scratch." Thistle nodded, and stood, her claws sharpening as she searched for the Poochyena, and then called to it, ~"Poochyena!"~ The Sneasel crossed her claws again, sharpening them one last time, ~"will you accept my invitation to battle?"~ Thistle then began to ran forward, slowly increasing speed as she prepared to use scratch.

Lotad trundled off. Poochyena glanced at Thistle. Hey, a Sneasel! They weren't usually seen around here. Perhaps this one had been travelling during the nights from some colder place. However, the dog Pokémon didn't see the most obvious explanation for now. Hm, a battle, eh? Possibly... but it was so happy just wondering about at night! However, it didn't seem like he had much of a choice. Thistle's Scratch struck him, and he cried out in pain.
~Hey! I thought you'd asked if I wanted to battle, so at least wait for a response before attacking me!~ Poochyena snarled. In answer to Thistle's Scratch, he dashed forwards in his own attack; a Tackle.

Thistle was quite proud that her Scratch hit. It may not have been the most fair way to attack, but it worked. Thistle was caught off guard when the Tackle hit her, and it sent her sailing back, even though she kept her feet on the ground. Thistle knew she couldn't take a lot more of these attacks, and knew if the Poochyena was going to try to give her a strong attack that she would have to dodge or suffer fainting. Thistle was to determined to simply faint and fail her trainer. After all, if it weren't for him she would still be getting yelled at for carving designs into the lab's floor.
Alexander watched as Thistle was sent back, and he quickly set up for her next move. "Shake it off, Thistle! Follow it up with an Ice Punch!" Thistle did so; forgetting the tackle and simply looking for ways to win this battle as she did with the Ekans. her left 'hand' glowed a powder blue as she quickly charged at the Poochyena, ready to unleash her attack. Whether or not it would hit however, it was hard to say.

Poochyena suppoed that he would get a say in whether or not he'd battle after all. Well, no matter; battles were good. He'd get stronger. The dog's lips were curled up into a snarl as he watched Thistle come towards him in an Ice Punch attack. The Sneasel was fast, but Poochyena was fast too. Being speedier than Ekans, he managerd to strike the ground with his paws quick enough to dart to one side, Thistle's icey clawed paw coming crashing down into the earth beside him. Phew, that had been close.
Poochyena gave Thistle a smirk over his muzzle. Ha! He'd dodged her move, and she hadn't. That was pretty good going, in his opinion. Hopefully, it wouldn't take long before he was stronger, Thistle was defeated and he was on his way. That would be great. Fun. He pawed the earth, before taking the next Tackle attack with a bit more speed and confidence. It wasn't as strong as last time, however.

Thistle's eyes narrowed in anger when she realized she had missed. The ice that would have formed on the Poochyena now formed on the ground, and Thistle yanked her claws out as soon as she could so that she could focus on the battle. However; her eyes could not help but drift off to look at the figure her missed Ice Punch had made in the dirt. "Thistle, focus! Dodge the tackle!" Thistle's ears flicked, and she quickly responded by jumping forward; just out of the path of the tackle. Thistle sneered, and turned to face the Poochyena once more. It was dumb-luck that had allowed her to dodge the attack, and Alexander seemed to ignore the fact that Thistle would benefit from a good healing.
"Thistle, now strike it with another Ice Punch!" Thistle nodded, and charged at the Poochyena again, this time using her right hand instead of her left to try and hit him.

Poochyena smiled over his muzzle. Even though Thistle had dodged, which was admittedly very annoying, he had still made a hit, at least. As a Sneasel, he imagined that Thistle would dodge attacks a lot. Also, she'd probably keep using Ice Punch even though she probably had quite a few other attacks at her disposal, knowing trainers. He snarled, fur raising as he prepared himself for the upcoming attack.
He attempted to dodge the Ice Punch again like he had on the previous occasions, but Thistle was too fast and caught him on the left flank as he tried to shoot out the way. He growled in pain, before turning around, taking several hurried pawsteps back, and charging at the Sneasel in another Tackle.

Thistle could not dodge the Tackle because of its close range, and with a smack, Thistle was pushed away. Pain shot through her and she sent out a screeching-yelp, but she refused to back down and loose. She turned to face Poochyena, and awaited Alexander's orders. "Thistle, use screech!" Thistle quickly reacted, setting out the high pitched screech. "Follow it up with another Ice Punch!" Because both of the Pokemon in the battle were at least partly Dark-type, Alexander knew that using a dark-type move on the Poochyena was not the smartest move. Masquerade, seemed to be sensing Thistle's pain, and simply looked at Alexander with her yellow eyes, which he did not see as he was focused to much on the battle.

Poochyena felt his Defense stat be weakened. Oh, dear. That couldn't be good, it never was! The dog definately did not want to be hit now! If he was, it wouldn't be so great. The Dark type Pokémon gave a low 'uff', preparing himself to dodge. However, as he zipped to one side, it was too early and Thistle simply changed course, striking him another, even more painful freezing blow. He whined in pain.
Poochyena didn't look like he had much left in him; one more hit like that, and he'd be out. Well, he wasn't giving up, that wasn't the sort of Pokémon he was. Charging at Thistle, he was using a Tackle.

Thistle smiled when she felt her attack hit much harder then it was originally intended. This Poochyena was challenging, but the Sneasel knew that simply being tackled wasn't going to hurt her as much as the Poochyena wanted it too. When the other Tackle came at her, Alexander did not even tell her to withstand it, and Thistle was knocked back. She was panting, but was not going to let herself give up. "Thistle, use Screech again!" Thistle quickly reacted to using screech a second time, and awaited Alexander's words to follow it up, "then use Scratch!" The move was basic, but it was the move that Thistle had started out with, so why not use it to finish it off?

Poochyena yowled, worried, as his Defense stat slipped considerably again. Oh, dear. That wasn't good, no-serie! There was nothing Poochyena could do about that, however, other than try to avoid the oncoming attack. The dog was very pleased, overly so, to see that Thistle was finally using an attack other than Ice Punch, but wasn't so happy at the results. He shook violently, swayed dangerously, before he crashed forwards with a heavy thud. Well, he felt he'd fought well. Everything had to end sometime, anyway. The dog gave a final bark, thumped his tail in a wag, then fell silent and still.
Poochyena was defeated! Thistle gains two levels!
