It was a sad sight to see, really. To watch the Poochyena just lay there, almost lifeless. Memories from his old career jumped through Alexander's head. Masquerade simply nudged him on the arm to break him out of it. Thistle panted and then sat on the ground, picked up a rock and began to carve it. "Well, Thistle? Do you want him on our team?" Thistle's ears flicked, and she replied, ~"No."~ Which Masquerade translated, "well, that gives me more reason to try and capture him, then." Alexander smirked and sent out an empty Pokeball to try and catch the fainted Poochyena-hopefully his last Pokemon catch for awhile.

Poochyena was consumed by the red light of the Pokéball, which, having taken him in, began to shake about as usual. After some shaking, it slowed. Then it sped up again. It grew faster and faster, and almost seemed like the Poochyena inside was going to burst out again (to, I imagine, Thistle's delight), but then, however, it slowed again at a much quicker rate than previously. Finally, it fell still. Poochyena had been caught.

Thistle rolled her eyes at the new member of her 'family'. She didn't mind the Ekans, in fact he was rather pleasant. But she just couldn't stand that Poochyena. "What do you think we should name him, Thistle?" Alexander asked. Thistle wasn't pleased with his little game, and she pretended not to hear him as she continued to carve the rock. "Well?" ~"We should name him Brutus. He is a brute after all."~ After Masquerade translated, Alexander shrugged, "Well-that will be his name then. Brutus."
