Spearow saw the Smog coming. She sped up, aiming to continue with her Peck. No. A little poisonous gas attack would not dash her chance of winning, not now. She winced- as she thought that, the little poisonous gas from earlier came back to pain her in the form of her Poisoned status. She kept goining. Billowing clouds of purple plumed out around her. Still she went on. Pain racked her throat, the force of the cloud pushing against her wings.
She moved away. Not by choice. The Smog attack pushed her aside. Hissing like an angry goose, the Flying type curved in an arc, dove and made her attack again. This time, her Peck could work. It was her final chance, and she knew it. The next attack would certainly end this, but Spearow wanted to deal another blow.

Sai sat in the tree and watched, hopping he would be able to see better with an above view of the battle and thankfully he was. He saw Spearow arc out of her tackle and come back in from another angle. He bet that the Smog had been to much for her. Well, it show that the battle was soon to be over, but he still wouldn't let his guard down.
"Flare, use Smog again and put your heart into it."
The Fire pokemon looked, around wondering why his trainer had ordered another smog, until he noticed that he hadn't been hit yet. That must've ment that Spearow had ducked around and was coming from another angle. He took a deep breath and looked around for Spearow. Oh, where was that bird? He kept looking, but didn't spot the Spearow until it was to late. He released his Smog attack but was still hit by the flying type's Peck attack. The smog clouded around the two pokemon obscuring the battle's outcome from view until it dissipated.

Spearow coughed as she breathed in the Smog attack, but she had to deal her blow. She needed to. She sought out Flare and struck him hard with her beak, but it was only as she took her leave that she realized she'd made a huge mistake. Her being stubborn had made her meet her match. What had she been thinking, to make such a stupid mistake? She felt herself fall, and her eyes drooped. If only she'd held back. Then she might have one. If only she wasn't so reckless.
As the smog drifted away, it became clear that Flare had won this battle. The Magby was still standing, Spearow was not. This battle was most definately over.
Spearow was defeated! Flare gains two levels!

Flare's throat burned with the effort of blowing out his latest smog combined with the effort off all the previous smog attacks. He smiled as Spearow took the bait and came into the fog after him. He and his trainer had both known that her pride would be her downfall. He watched her fall to the ground and couldn't help but drop to one knee, panting heavily.
Sai smiled a bit, seeing that Spearow had been defeated. He pulled out at pokeball." Nice job, Flare. Now go, Pokeball." He yelled as he threw the ball at the bird pokemon, which was absorbed it and began shaking.

The Pokéball shook and rocked, backwards and forwards, over and over again. The process repeated itself for a while, and it seemed that perhaps Spearow had not been defeated by enough to allow it to be caught. But, then again, it was fainted. Fainted Pokémon very rarely escape capture, and those that do are generally at higher levels. Spearow was poisoned, too. The Pokéball clicked at last, sealing the bird inside.
Spearow was caught!

Sai smiled and released the Spearow from the pokeball." You said you didn't have a name so I think I'll call you, Ava." He looked at her and then to the tiny fire type that had allowed him to capture he" Good battle, both of you. I can honestly say I'm proud to be your trainer and your friend." He gave the both gentle hug, being careful not to hurt them and the dug two potions out of his bag, spraying each of them with a bottle and getting help from his riolu, Nate and his Pichu, Sparks to massage the the tired battlers.
After the two resently battle pokemon had fallen asleep (both from exhaustion and comfort), He returned them, pulling their pokeballs on the sash across his chest. He got up and decided to keep exploring the route instead of moving on to the town he heard was at the end. After a while of walking, everything seemed quiet, even the excitable Nat had gone slightly drowsy in his arm as Sparks chittered and hummed happily on his shoulder.

A small, rotund Pokémon was going about on it's stubby feet. Some thought it's kind were in fact pretty cute, others thought little of them. However, most people agreed that it's final evolution was pretty strong. The Pokémon was one of them. It knew that it evolved next fairly soon, at a relatively low level, and for that reason it was out and about fighting wild Pokémon, training, levelling up so it could be really cool.
When it saw Sai, an idea hatched into it's mind. A trainer. This was perfect! It could level up by defeating this trainer, and if he seemed nice, it could join him! After all, it would need a leaf stone to reach it's final evolution, something which trainers could by but was rarely found on the routes. The Pokémon revealed itself to the trainer; it was a Seedot. ~Hey! You there, trainer! Yeah, you! Fight me! Come on, I dare you!~ Seedot yelled at the top of it's voice.

Sai's eyes lit up with joy at the sight of the little Seedot. Another cutie that could potentially be added onto his team, plus it evolution still managed to be cute and cool. Then realization him t and he sighed. Thre cause of this sigh was that he didn't have any pokemon to use that weren't in at a disadvantage. Flare and Ava, both who had a type advantage were worn out and sleeping from their battles with each other and Sparks was an electric type who's moves wheren't very effective. But still yet he didn't want to use Nate since he was already up in level.
He looked back at the Seedot and looked it over, glancing back at his Pichu, he nodded his head." Looks like you're up, Sparks. Don't let the type difference get to you." He said, with confidence in his voice.
The little Pichu jumped down from Sai's shoulder with sparks jumping from his cheeks." Gweat! Mes gonna gets a battle." Sparks lisped in an excited manner, it was easy to tell that he was still quite young.

Seedot was delighted to see that it's opponent was a Pichu. It didn't actually know any Grass type moves, but any Electric type moves which the little mouse knew wouldn't have much effect on it. Grinning, Seedot hopped from one foot to the other, getting ready to fight. It didn't have the best of movesets at this stage, but gradually it would get better and better. Right now it only knew one offensive move, which could either prove useful or something which dragged the battle on for ages.
This was what Seedot used now. Standing still, power surged through it. It seemed to be using a Bide attack, a Normal type move which would deal back double the damage Seedot recieved over several turns.

Sai watched in slight annoyance,t his could prove to be bad if the Seedot chose to only use bide. It would take a beating and give back double what it took. He sighed a bit and wondered what to do. Twitching his large eevee ears, he decided there was only one choice for now." Sparks, use Thundershock!" He spoke calmly.
The little pichu jumped up excitedly and the crouched down a bit, cheeks crackling with stored up electrical energy."CHU!!!"He let it out in the direction of the Seedot. He'd make his trainer so proud he was gonna win.

The Thundershock attack struck Seedot, the little acorn Pokémon shaking as he took in energy for it's Bide. The Thundershock was an Electric type move, so was not very effective. This would mean that if the Bide struck Pichu now, it would be just a little stronger than an ordinary Thundershock. It didn't look like the Bide would be released just yet. Perhaps Sparkey would be best off using stat changers- then the Bide would not have any more offensive moves to fuel it, and would be less powerful anyway.

Sai winced a bit, thinking about the judgement behind his last move. He's wanted to get some damage in but was using bide the best way to do? He knew the answer to that was no. Hiroki looked at Sparks with a slight grin, she wasn't worried for her little bro at all. It was just a lasp in her companion's judgement after all it was his first battle with this pokemon." Use charm, Sparks." Hiroki hollared, odd to see a daemon giving battle orders, but Sai didn't seem to mind.
Sparks smiled a bit, it made no difference to him who gave the orders, he just wanted to battle. He made an extremely cute pose, eyes bulging as little heart fluttered around him

Seedot gritted its teeth, the Bide attack proving hard to hold in now. Just... a little... longer. Until Sparks had made his move, so that the Grass type would be able to deliver the most damage possible. The Pokémon felt its attack stat lower with the Charm. Gah. Maybe it would have been better to release the attack earlier, after all. Oh, well. What was done was done.
Now it was time for Seedot to be relieved on the energy fighting to be let out. The little acorn gasped in relief as it let loose the power it had stored up, which was about the strength of a Thundershock. This wouldn't hurt too much, but would still inflict damage on little Sparks. It was pretty much an ensured hit, too.
