Sai smiled as he watched the charm attack work like, well, a charm. But he instantly frowned as the Seedot released it pent up energy. He knew the only way to deal good damage with out it backfiring would be to use Sparks's secret weapon now. This would be the little Pichu's first time using it in a real battle, though this was also the Pichu's first real battle. "Sparks, make your mother and father proud, use Volt Tackle." Sai encouraged, one of his arms straight, indes finger pointed toward the Seedot.
The Pichu froze for a split second, the usual childish, carefree smile replaced by an angrily determined face. He couldn't feel the usually electrical charge run through his body, instead he felt anger, white holt and boiling his blood with every movement. The next second, he darted toward Seedot like greased lightning as he ran he was hit by the Bide but plowed on through it, the pain only dimly registering in the back of his mind as he charged. He was approaching Seedot, fast, and probably wouldn't be able to duplicate the speed or power of this Volt Tackle again or at least not in this battle. So, this one had better count

Seedot smiled as Sparks moved through the Bide. Even if the Pichu was ignoring the pain now, all the damage of two attacks in one powerful blast would definately have a huge significance on the mouse. He would probably even end up fainting or something. Well, perhaps he'd need a little prompt to get him to faint, but still. Seedot felt it would win, even if the stupid little Pichu was using a powerful Volt Tackle. People went to ridiculous trouble to get a Pichu with the move Volt Tackle. Stupid, really.
Seedot's body flashed as it used a Harden to prepare itself for the impact of Volt Tackle. This move would hurt Sparks as well- perhaps that prompt needed to make him faint. As the electrified Tackle struck the acorn Pokémon, it doubted whether it would win after all. This move was so strong... even if Sparks fainted, which was likely, Seedot would have fainted before then. Sure enough, Seedot fell, its world swaying and blurring before turning completely black. Whether or not Sparks fainted now, he had won the battle.
Seedot was defeated! Sparks gains two levels!

Sai gritted his teeth in nervousness, his daemon, Hiroki mimicking the gesture out of nervous habit as she sat on his shoulder in the form of a pikachu. They'd both known, even before Sai called it, that the Volt Tackle would be risky at best and disastrous at worst. But still, it was the best shot they had at hitting Seedot with out drawing the battle out too much. So, they watched as little pichu charged at the acorn pokemon.
Sparks had lost all thoughts of anything besides himself and his targeted opponent as he charged, rage siring, red hot into his mind as he thought of how powerless he was to help his parents when the were attacked by that evil group of humans. He remembered how he'd joined up with Sai in hopes of getting stronger so he could make Team Tsuasa pay. Those thoughts were all pushed aside as he rammed into the Seedot, full force. This was it, the moment of truth and nothing else mattered. The pichu thought.
Not expecting the harden that the Seedot used, Sparks's contact with the acorn pokemon forced him backward after the blow wore off. He swayed left and right drunkenly as he struggled not to got down, watching his opponent do the same. He smiled when he saw the Seedot fall and turned to walk back to his friends. He made it a few steps before stiffening and falling flat on his stomach, unconscious. He'd won that's all that mattered to him.
Sai instinctively threw a pokeball at the fainted Seedot but didn't even pay any attention to it. He rushed over to pick up the little pichu who'd fought hard and show impressive, hidden power. Just as he touched the small pokemon he noticed something it its hand, a heartscale. He no idea where sparks had gotten that but before he could ponder it the pichu began glowing. Could he have be what he thought it was? He watched as the glow became a glorious shine. Was it....Evolution?
He got his answer as Sparks stopped shining, leaving an equally as cute pikachu in the place he once lay as a pichu. Normal this would've been though cause for celebration, but Sai tended to the still unconscious Sparks. Spray the pokemon with a potion from his bag, he began the usually message he gave battling pokemon, the pokeball that he'd thrown at Seedot all but forgotten.Sparks valiantly became a Pikachu.

Seedot was unconcious through all of this, but it would have tutted at the Potion. Seedot didn't really see the need for healing when you could just wait, but that was just the view of most wild Pokémon who hadn't encountered Potions. Seedot itself wasn't likely to get over its aversion to Potions, but that was just its own mind. The Pokéball Saitori through and forgot swept it neatly inside, and began shaking. With Seedot inside, the Grass type was now given its chance at freedom, which was done without the notice of anybody.
Inside the Pokéball, Seedot pushed and shoved to escape. This was a capture device, it knew it. How could anyone think this to be anything else? This was definately the inside of a Pokéball. The wrong side, to him. The acorn pushed harder, feeling a little give in the thing now. Did that mean it was close to freedom? Then again, what exactly was freedom? Was being a trainer's Pokémon any less free than being a wild Pokémon? Not really, was it? And Saitori seemed pretty nice. Was it really so bad? Seedot stopped struggling, and let the Pokéball catch him. It was actually quite nice in there.
Seedot was caught!
Name: Species: Seedot Gender: Level: 8 Ability: Early Bird Attacks: Bide, Harden, Growth Personality: This Seedot is always trying hard. It has a goal, a big goal, which has always been there for it. It desperately wants to be stronger, something which will only settle if it ever achieves level 100. That want isn't that strong, but it does want to evolve into a Shiftry as soon as possible. Has a slight aversion to man-made items.

Sai looked up from his solemn tending of Sparks when he heard the familiar ping the Pokeball's successfully a captured Pokemon. He seemed caught between going to the item and caring for his fallen Pikachu. Only after been scolded that it was rude to leave the Seedot like that and receiving promises, from both his daemon, Hiroki and his Riolu starter, Nate, that they'd look after Sparks did he go and pick up the Pokeball containing Seedot. Kissing the Pokeball, he then placed it on his belt.
Looking back, he saw the Hiroki and Nate still tending to the Pikachu as they promised. He walked over to them, reaching out with gentle hands, and scooped Sparks into his arm." Silav Town is close, let's go..." He said solemly as walked on.
