Suppet was a little offended to see Mario and his daemon talking about what they would name her. Hey! They had to defeat her first! Why was it some trainers acted like things were over before they actually were, eh? All right, admittedly she would faint unless she dodged this, but still! It was a little rude of someone to be acting as if this was the end, even if it was. Shuppet wished they would discuss that when she was fainted or something.
Her Knock-Off had hit at least, meaning Aero would be feeling very tired, so at least she had done something good. Sort of. The Poison Jab hit, and she felt herself become poisoned thanks to her previous exposure to the attack. The Ghost type had managed to cling on though, and she was proud of that fact. However, poison weakens the Pokémon- that's what this did, and Shuppet went down with a final Screech for good measure. It wouldn't do anything now the battle was over, but hopefully the trainer and Pokémon would find it annoying.
Shuppet was defeated! Aero gained two levels!

Mario smiled as he looked at Shuppet fainting. He took his pokeball out of his pack and smiled. "Alright Shuppet, you're mine now!" Mario smiled as he threw it at her, hearing the clicks as he smiled softly to himself.
...click...
....click....click....
...click...
"Wow..., it should confirm its capture by now...," Mario mumbled softly to himself as he sighed deeply and looked at the pokeball. Aero looked at the pokeball and nodded softly to himself, knowing that he had gained levels and beated Shuppet.

ooc// Remember to deduct a Pokéball from your items
ic// The Pokéball bounced off the Shuppet's head; had she been awake, she would have easily batted it aside. However, while fainted, there was absolutely nothing she could do about it. The Pokéball tapped her and drew her inside without any problems, but then it was the time where Pokémon were given the chance to escape, and Shuppet was putting up quite an admirable fight against the sides of the Pokéball. The device was rocking madly with the force of the Ghost type.
Shuppet inside was slamming herself against the sides of the Pokéball, desperate to escape. After all, Mario had been so offensive with his certainty she would be captured, so now she really wanted to prove him wrong for the sake of her pride. Unfortunately, being a fainted Pokémon, she was incredibly weak and couldn't put up a fight for long enough. As she sank back down into a slumber, she vowed to herself to remain a proud, solo Pokémon.
Shuppet was caught!
Name: Species: Shuppet Gender: Female Level: 6 Ability: Insomnia Attacks: Knock-Off, Screech Personality: This Shuppet is pretty disobedient, having a strong sense of pride and prefering to do things her own way rather than anyone else's. She doesn't like Mario too much for capturing her, but this feeling might wear off after a couple of routes. She's good in battle, even if she doesn't listen to her trainer, and is quite mischeavous.

Mario smiled as he successfully captured Shuppet and smiled. "Alright, you're part of my team Shuppet and I'm going to name you Fantasma," Mario smiled softly to himself as he walked down the route after he picked up Fantasma's pokeball and grinned softly to himself. ~Well Aero, you did well today for your first battle,~ Selena complimented him and smiled. ~Yea. I had to use only Poison and Dark-types because she was a ghost-type, that I give a thumbs up to Mario for that,~ Aero replied and smiled softly as Mario looked at them and smiled. "You know, Fantasma may be hard to get along with because I felt like I was being a bit overconfident about the battle and she may be peeved about it. But, if I can get her to be okay with me while we're on our journey, she's not that bad. I can tell by it," Mario told them and smiled as they continued to walk down the path and smiled.
"Also, Aero, you may have to be involved in a few more battles until we can access into a pokemon center," he told Aero as Aero nodded softly to himself, waiting for another pokemon, or even better, a trainer to arrive.

A few Pokémon looked Mario's way with curiousity, but none actually strayed onto his path. Instead, a trainer was heading his way. She was skipping, her daemon fluttering about around her head, every now and then switching into a different Pokémon. She spotted Mario, Selena and Aero on the path in front of her, and came to a stop. Oh? She smiled, pleased to be seeing another trainer. She waved, wondering over to meet them.
"Hello! My name's Jess, and my daemon's called Jeremy!" she beamed as she introduced herself. Hm... well, trainers usually battled when they met, right? Would it seem odd if they didn't battle? It might be a good idea to battle for the levels and everything, but Mario's Farfetch'd didn't look in shape for a battle, as though he'd just finished one. "Could we battle? Please? You might want to use a Potion or a Pokémon other than your Farfetch'd, because he looks too tired to fight." she pointed out, not one for unfair advantages.

Mario nodded as he looked at Jess. "Nice to meet you Jess. Mario's my name and Selena's my daemon," Mario introduced himself as he took a potion out. "And yes, thank you for letting me know about it," Mario smiled as he used a potion on Aero as he smiled softly to himself.
"Well, now that we introduced each other, fancy a battle?" he offered Jess and smiled as he looked at Aero as he sighed with relief after being sprayed by the potion.

Jess smiled. A battle? Now he was talking. Also, he'd taken on board her advice on healing Aero. That was good; she loved seeing Pokémon be happy. She had a Pokéball in her hand quickly. "You betcha, mate." she grinned. With a flick of her wrist, she threw the Pokéball. It released her chosen Pokémon in a flash of red light, before moving back to her hand again. She caught it easily. "Leslie, Scratch!" she called.
Leslie turned out to be a Sneasel. She winked at Mario and Aero, smiling confidently, clearly excited about the prospect of battle. The Ice type guessed that the Farfetch'd would be her opponent, since she could see Mario was holding a used Potion, Aero was fully healed, and Mario had one more Pokémon- considering this was route one, he would have had to have recently caught it and there were no Pokémon Centers on route one. She launched herself at Aero in a Scratch attack, incredibly quickly like all her species.

Mario looked at Leslie as she was charging towards Aero and smiled softly. "Aero, dodge the attack and use Poison Jab on Leslie," Mario commanded Aero as he nodded and barely managed to evade Leslie's attack and commenced his Poison Jab attack on her as he ran towards her, a purple aura lighting up on his stick as he looked at her.

Jess raised her eyebrows, surprised that a Farfetch'd had managed to dodge a Sneasel. Leslie was surprised as well, but wasted no time in dodging Aero's attack in response. After all, a Farfetch'd had a base speed of 60, while a Sneasel's base speed was 115, well above average. She had found it easy to dodge because of that. Jess smiled. "Nice one, Leslie! Try that Scratch again, I know you can do it!" she called.
Leslie nodded, moving towards Aero. She was frustrated as well as embrassed that she had failed to hit a relatively slow Pokémon, but she should ignore that and move on, or the battle would be stuck in the same place. She shot forwards in another extremely speedy Scratch attack.

Mario remained silent as he let Aero take the hit and smiled softly to himself. "Aero, use Night Slash," Mario told Aero as he chuckled softly to himself as Aero charged towards the Sneasel and grinned with determination.
Selena looked at Mario as she sighed softly to herself. ~Mario, Sneasel's not the same as a Shuppet. Try to think of a different tatic to use,~ she warned him as he turned around. ~I know but...right now that's the best way to deal with, unless if he levels up and gains more speed, this is the best that we can do for now...,~ he looked at her as he sighed softly to himself and looked back to the battle, seeing that Aero is going to strike at any moment.

Jess smiled as Leslie finally did land a hit, and there was much discussion about tactics between Mario and Selena. She didn't bother listening, since it would be rude to interfere with what was said between a human and his soul. Leslie was distracted by it, and was hit by the Night Slash. Luckily, it was a not very effective hit due to types, but she still cursed for allowing herself to let her guard down. Jess could see this, and so gave her some encouragement. "Leslie, it's all right, you're doing fine! Now, another Scratch!"
As annoyed as she was, Leslie couldn't disobey her trainer. The Sneasel was very loyal Pokémon, and had complete faith in her trainer. She would obey her as much as she possibly could, with entire belief in optimism and 'if there's a will, there's a way'. The Ice and Dark type currently moved quickly in on Aero, aiming to get him back for the Night Slash by quickly darting in for a Scratch.

Mario looked at Leslie's attack and smiled. "Alright Aero, dodge it and then use Poison jab on Leslie," Mario commanded Aero as he smiled. Unfortunately, Leslie had managed to hit him with the attack as he growled softly to himself and readied his Poison Jab attack as he charged towards her, knowing that she got him back for the Night Slash.
~So Mario...are you going to call out Fantasma after this or no?~ she wondered as Mario looked at her. ~Maybe...but I know that she hates me for capturing her but eventually there will be a truce about it,~ Mario glanced at Selena and smiled as he continued to watch the battle going on.
Soon, Aero was approaching Leslie as he chuckled softly to himself. ~I must admit Leslie, you like to provide challenges for your opponent. That's good, because I like to as well,~ Aero told her and smiled as he was close enough to unleash his Poison Jab with his stick.
"Well Jess, I do have to admit, for my first trainer battle, you're not that bad. If we ever meet again after this, want to go through another battle?" he asked her and smiled as he looked at her.

Leslie smiled at Aero, having listened to his words and paid close attention to what he was doing at the same time. She attemtped to duck out the way of the Poison Jab, and it worked until Aero flicked his wing to one side and struck her anyway. Phew, that was kinda painful, but at least she didn't seem to be poisoned. That would have been terrible. Jess was clearly enjoying the battle, and gave Leslie a little encouragement, her daemon becoming a Plusle and cheering for her. "Yeah, sure. Battles are great. Leslie, this time let's go for a Leer!" she called to Mario and then her Pokémon.
The Sneasel was ready to attack, then her trainer ordered a Leer. Eh, whatever. She was more in favour of offensive moves, but since Leer would lower Aero's defense stat and put him more at risk of said offensive moves, she didn't mind too much. She didn't bother saying anything unlike what Aero had done, since she thought speaking in battle was relatively pointless and a little distracting to the speaker. Then her eyes were glowing, piecing through to the soul... a creepy look, but this was without a doubt a Leer.

Mario knew that was going to reduce Aero's defense as he couldn't do anything about it as he nodded softly to himself. "Aero, use Fury Attack on Leslie," he commanded as Aero nodded, charging towards Leslie as he got the attack ready.
~Mario...,~ Selena paused as Mario glanced to her as he smiled softly. ~Don't worry, I'm fine,~ he reassured her and smiled as he looked at Aero again and then at Fantasma's pokeball.

Leslie smiled as Aero felt the Leer, but the smile was wiped from her face as the Farfetch'd began a Fury Attack. She dodged the first strike, but hadn't been expecting a second. The Fury Attack hit three times in total, the Sneasel failing to dodge the move after that. Jess frowned. She would have to make sure she was ready for that kind of thing, and so was her Pokémon. That's what battling was for, right? To learn new moves and techniques for her own gain. "Leslie, Scratch again!" she called.
Leslie knew that Aero would now feel a little more pain with each attack, which was of course a good thing. The Flying type would be easier to defeat in that case, but she was feeling quite tired herself at this stage so knew she would have to be careful. The Ice and Dark type's claws were a blur as they slashed out at Aero in the Scratch before he would be able to move away after the Fury Attack.
