Soon, Aero was hit by the Scratch attack as he slid back and moved his stick around as Mario looked at Aero. "Aero, use Night Slash on her," he told Aero seldomly, but still smiling as he looked at Leslie as Aero nodded.
Then, Aero charged towards Leslie with the Night Slash attack as he was close enough to her as he smiled softly to himself, geared with determination as he chuckled softly to himself.

Leslie managed to dodge the Night Slash, but unfortunately she wasn't too careful with how she did this and the Sneasel ended up crashing into a rock painfully. Not as painful as the Night Slash would have been, but painful none the less. In fact, it was possible that she wouldn't be able to take much more from this battle; Aero might just win if he could land one or two more hits without fainting. Jess was tense, unsure of how exactly this battle would go, and slightly worried for her Pokémon. "Leslie, we can do this, I know it! Scratch! Use that rock to push off from!" she called.
Ah, a little strategy was being mixed into the battle. With a smile, Leslie flicked her wrist, testing it for the attack and partly trying to look menacing. It worked a bit, but most of it was thanks to her being part Dark type. The Sneasel moved as quickly as she could, settling her feet against the rock and launching herself at Aero hopefully before he could react. This Scratch had a lot more power in it, but if it hit, Leslie would need a little time to recover, meaning if Aero was hit he would be able to deal an attack for certain.

Aero turned around as he saw Leslie launching herself towards him as Mario didn't have time to tell him to dodge as Leslie landed the scratch attack and flew back a bit. He got up and panted softly as he was getting exausted from the battle. "Come on Aero, Poison Jab on Leslie. We can win this Aero!" he told Aero as he nodded and got his attack ready as he charged towards Leslie and smiled softly.
"Alright Leslie, let's finish this once and for all!" He told her with a look of determination in his face as he ran towards her, his stick emitted a purple light, showing the poison there as he just ran towards her.

Leslie could see how easy it was for Aero to strike back at her once she had got up close. Oh, dear. That wasn't too good, was it? She breathed deeply. She could do this, she knew she had it in her somewhere. She had to! The Sneasel attempted to dodge, but since Aero was starting from a position practically next to her, it was impossible to do so. She cried out as the Poison Jab struck, shuddering. It had failed to poison her, but she still felt a little queasy. Jess hoped she'd be able to pull off another couple of attacks and dodge still. "Come on, Leslie! Scratch!"
The Sneasel had it in her somewhere, and she would manage to do this. She could win, she knew it! Aero was weakening as she was, and his defense had been lowered earlier, so her Scratches would deal more damage than usual. But still... she felt so weak, on the verge of exhaugsion. She tried to ignore this as she struck out at the Farfetch'd from her current close range. The attack was likely to hit, but unlikely to do much damage due to how weak Leslie was feeling.

"Aero, dodge the attack and go for a Night Slash again," he commanded Aero as he dodged Leslie's attackand got to a distance close enough for him to unleash Night Slash as he panted softly to himself. "Looks like we're in the same boat Jess. It's either one of us who take home the win," he told Jess as he looked at her. "Oh dear Mario," Selena sighed softly to herself as she looked at Aero going for what could be the final attack of the battle if Leslie fails to dodge.

Leslie was very surprised that Aero had managed to dodge her attack despite the seventy-odd points of difference between their speed stats and the fact that the attack had seemed very likely to hit. It would have been barely effective at all, but it would have been something. And now Aero was using a Night Slash. Leslie knew she'd be able to dodge this, but with her muscles aching like they were on fire, it was hard. She ducked, but the Farfetch'd managed to hit her, just barely.
Leslie tottered about a little, black dots clouding her vision. She could cling onto the waking world, she knew she could... but it was hard. So hard, while the darkness was so welcoming... she fought her heavy eyelids until she just couldn't stand it any more, falling to the ground and loosing. Jess returned her with a sad expression, then smiled up at Mario. "That was a fun battle, even if I lost. Here, take this. Well, see you around! Some day, we'll fight again, and I'll win!" she grinned as she headed off for route two. Perhaps Mario should head that way, too, for stronger Pokémon.
Aero gained two levels! Mario earned $450!

Mario smiled softly as Jess handed him the prize money and looked at Aero as he gave him a thumbs up. "Well Aero, this battle went well and let's head on over to Route two before anything else stop us from our win," Mario told Aero as he sprayed the potion on Aero. ~Congrats you two! I was a bit worried when you two went a bit overboard,~ Selena chuckled nervously as Mario shook his head abit and smiled softly. ~Well, let's head there quickly!~ Aero smiled softly as Mario nodded as they ran towards Route two, Selena flying above them as Mario smiled softly.
