Birdy//♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥As Rin walked, the Route stayed much the same- not enough trees to be considered a proper wood, but too many to be considered much else. It wasn't the most interesting thing in the world. However, they then came a spot which, although wasn't remarkable in the least, was a little different. Everything remained the same, except that here and there grew clumps of mushrooms, ones with white stalks and red tops that were dotted with yellow. One of these mushrooms was almost stepped on by Rin, and identifyable as an item.
Rin found a Tinymushroom! x1
Not too remarkable, but at least it could sell for something. As the Tinymushroom was discovered, two of the still-growing ones began to shake. They continued to quiver, until- ~Paras?~
a little grunt of surprise came from the Paras that had just emerged from hiding and spied the trainer. It seemed a little nervous, but it wasn't fleeing, rather than staring straight at Rin. The Paras stayed rooted to its feet, not moving and not knowing what to do. Rin stopped and looked down to find a very tiny mushroom at her feet. She picked it up and tossed it around in her hands before understanding what it was and placing it within her cloak. Airi watched her trainer and then wanting to copy her, saw a similar looking thing and tried to uproot it, but was taken by surprise as a Paras came into view. Surprised, the Charmander began to stpe back and quickly ran behind her trainer's legs, grasping them as she peeked out to view the Pokemon. Rin stared down at her timid Charmander and then back at the Paras that also seemed to be stunned. Kiyoshi chuckled a little and then went over to the Paras and spoke politely, "You don't have to be scared, we won't hurt you. The worst that Rin can do is stare at you- trust me, and Airi won't harm you unless Rin orders her. And well, me? I'm just here for the ride." The Weavile daemon chuckled to himself as he rubbed the back of his head with a claw and a wide grin placed happily on his face.

Paras watched as Airi moved to hide behind her trainer, smiling. He had been a little worried about the Fire type, since, well, she was a Fire type. The Paras didn't feel it was too wise to attack someone with an obvious disadvantage, the mushroom Pokemon being a fairly sensible Pokemon. It looked at the trainer for some time, studying the 'morph first, then the Weavile daemon. It took note of the other Pokeballs at Rin's belt; she had other Pokemon. It could also see that Rin's daemon had much more emotion and life, while she herself appeared a bit... Well, dead? Paras wasn't sure how to describe it.
The Bug streched, feeling much more relaxed in front of he trainer. The Paras was a fairly sensible yet trusting Pokemon, and from what it could see, it could trust Rin. Of course, this might just be her pretending, but for now Paras felt fairly relaxed around her. The bug looked at her, wondering if she would fight it or not. After all, it was difficult to get a trainer battle since Paras weren't a very wanted Pokemon, so trainers often didn't even bother fighting them, and a lot of trainers picked super effective starters like Rin had.

Kiyoshi cotinued to look at the Paras. It seemed quite timid and quiet, and chuckling to himself, Kiyoshi turned to Rin and the Charmander that hid behind her legs and called, "He's just like you Airi." The Charmander peeked out surprisngly from behind the Eeveemorph's legs and stared out toward the Weavile and the Paras. He was like her? How were they similar? If they were the same could they be... friends? The Charmander slowly stepped out from behind her trainer and limply stared at the mushroom Pokemon, thoughts running throughout her head. She didn't trust easily so was a little sceptical but Kiyoshi spoke softly, "Go on Airi, he won't hurt you." The Charmander slowly made her way over to the Paras and then when quite close to the Pokemon stretched out a little orange hand in hopes of a greeting. Kiyoshi smiled as the two began to make friends, and then he stared up at Rin. The Eeveemorph continued to have that emotionless expression on her face and stared intently at the bug Pokemon. Kiyoshi didn't know what to make of it, Rin didn't seem like she thought it was a threat but she didn't trust too easily either. He looked out at her confused. Rin came to a quick decision and once again she rapdily span around so that her back faced the Pokemon and spoke quietly and in monotone but quite harshly to, "You can accompany us if you want." Kiyoshi looked out to Rin and then after his shock smiled with a slight blush. Although quite rude to others Kiyoshi knew the true meaning of what Rin said. Rin meant that she wished the Paras to accompany the three of them on their journey, not as a Pokemon party per say, but more of a companion intended for Airi. The Eeveemorph just didn't want to seem soft or trusting. But Kiyoshi knew she had good intentions.

Paras backed away at first as Airi came towards it, unsure of what exactly she was doing. Pausing to watch cautiosly, the mushroom smiled as it saw she was being friendly. It reached out with an orange claw and shook paws with the Charmander, grinning as it had made a friend. Paras then whirled around to face Rin in surprise as the trainer asked if it wanted to travel with them. Oh, so she did talk. Paras was shocked; not many trainers had wanted it around in the past, and it didn't really want to lose its new friend so soon after making her. ~All right, but no Pokeballs for now.~
it agreed. Paras looked about; was it just it, or had it heard a soft growl coming from somewhere? The bug shrugged, although inside was incredibly nervous and still looked about to check. One time, its hearing was proved correct. A Tyrogue sprang from the bushes nearby, striking a karate pose and trying to appear threatening. Paras backed away slightly, moving towards Airi for protection. They would protect each other, right? The Typrgue looked at Rin in a slightly cocky universal 'bring it on' manner, hoping the trainer would give it a good fight.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Rin's eyes locked onto the Tyrogue that erupted from the bsuhes as Airi stood firmly with her arms outstretched to protect Paras. Kiyoshi stood in front of the small Charmander and Paras and eyed the Tyrogue, suspicious of his actions. Rin understood the glare that the fighting type posed and she thought carefully about which Pokemon to choose. Haruto would be too weak, his poison sting would be the only move to deal full damage and it wasn't strong at all. Then there was Mio or Airi.... Mio would be super effective against the Tyrogue, but there was a problem with her personality. Then again, Rin and Mio would have to bond eventually... And Airi wasn't as strong as Mio... So who would she pick? Rin whose back still faced the four Pokemon behind her, rapidly swirled around as her cloak flapped from the movement and she outstretched a hand as she agressively shouted, "Airi let's go!" The Charmander instantly heard her trainer's orders and looked behind her at teh Paras before nodding at him with a faint smile and jumping over the Weavile daemon who bent down to let the fire type through.
Facing the Tyrogue, Airi looked into his eyes and stared, waiting for an order from her trainer. Rin was a little angry. This Pokemon had just randomly appeared and thought he could do whatever he liked, did he? Well, Rin extremely disliked people and Pokemon who thought they could do whatever they wanted and then get away with it. Rin hadn't chosen Mio for the fact that agianst a Pokemon like Tyrogue the Ralts' mobility would be limited and overrun, especially against an aggressive opponent so Airi it was. "Metal Claw!" Airi nodded and crossing her arms around her chest her hands began to glow a bright silver before the Charmander rapidly stared toward the Tyrogue and locked her gaze. Then darting forward she uncrossed her arms and aimed at the Tyrogue to let loose the fierce attack - her complete trust in her Trainer and in protecting her new found friend.

Birdy//♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥Tyrogue watched and waited impatiently as Rin decided which of her Pokémon she would use to fight him. In the end, it seemed she'd decided upon the timid Charmander who seemed to be protecting her friend, a wild Paras. Tyrogue's thoughts were confirmed when the salamder launched into a Metal Claw attack on her trainer's command. Tyrogue were odd Pokémon in that all of their stats were exactly the same, so this Pokémon knew that Airi would be able to tell exactly how tough he was by a single hit. The Fighting type prepared himself, ending up attempting to dodge but failing, wincing as steel claws raked down his side.
Still, that attack was over for now, at least. Tyrogue knew it was now his turn, and he smiled as he realized that he could get his own back for that painful Metal Claw. He could always use a simple, basic Tackle, but where was the fun in that? His Fake-Out attack was stronger, plus it had a 30% chance to make his opponent flinch ((yeah, it works differently here, it can be used any time so there's only a little chance of flinching)). That would be much more useful, in the Tyrogue's opinion. The Fighting type snarled intimidatingly, suddenly and surpringly lashing out in a Fake-Out.

OOC:// Sorry I completely forgot about this, but I love your new siggy identifier thingy! It's brilliant!
IC:// Airi was taken by surprise as the fighting type lashed out in a fake out attack, dealing some painful damage to the small fire type. The Charmander took a couple of stumbling footsteps backwards as she was attacked and then shook her head to refocus herself. The small lizard Pokemon then locked her gaze on the Tyrogue; she had more to do in this battle then her last one, her first one. In the last battle her only aim was to grow stronger and somehow make a connection with her trainer. Now her aims were different. She needed to defeat this Tyrogue for many reasons. Firstly, to become stronger as she grew and learned more about battling, secondly to deepen th bond she had started to form with her trainer Rin, and now she needed to protect her newfound friend, Paras. Rin watched as her Charmander suddenly realised the seriousness of protecting someone - just like Rin needed to protect Kiyoshi like he had done so many years ago. Rin closed her eyes gently and nodded before concentrating seriously again and calling out, "Growl Airi and unleash an Ember." The Charmander listened to her trainer. Closing her eyes as if gathering power she limped her body and then suddenly let loose an aggressive growl hoping to lower her oppoent's attack and then opened her jaw and bent her spine slightly as she shot fiery balls toward the fighting type.

Tyrogue watched as the Charmander now had her turn to attack, watching carefully so not to miss any tricks she and her trainer might be playing. He also watched as Airi made herself intimidating for a Growl. It worked as usual, lowering Tyrogue's attack stat a little bit bust just enough to make him annoyed. The little Fighting type then snarled as he saw Airi prepare the Ember with rather obvious movements. He didn't really fancy being hit by it, but since he wasn't fast enough ended up finding the flames tickling his back.
Letting out an audible snarl of great pain, Tyrogue's face darkened as he looked at Airi. The little Charmander had just hurt him a lot, and she would pay for that. He supposed that at least he hadn't been burned, but it was still his turn and he wanted that Fire type to go down. Tyrogue bounced a little on his heels, readying himself for his next attack. He then tensed his legs before springing, powerfully racing towards Airi. He was determined, and wanted this Tackle attack to hit. He looked quite capable of hurting Airi quite a bit with this Tackle.

Rin watched as the Tyrogue was tipped over the edge. Expected of a short tempered, fighting type of Pokemon - however, Rin remained calm as the Pokemon rushed toward her Charmander in a powerful Tackle attack. Kiyoshi continued to stand protectively in front of Paras whilst the little mushrrom Pokemon peeked out to watch his newfound friend. Rin then instinctively called out, "Airi counter with a Metal Claw, directly in front of you, don't rush forward." The Charmander nodde and sweat rolled down the side of her face; she trusted her trainer but wasn't sure what this would do. Not even dodging? That could prove dangerous... Nethertheless, Airi propelled her arms forward as her claws glowed. Rin's hopes for this were that although the Tackle attack would hit and the impact would send her skidding across the ground, she hoped that the Metal Claw would deal greater damage as the Tyrogue made a collision with the Charmander - and in doing so it would absorb some of the attack.

A Metal Claw again, eh? Tyrogue was starting to think Airi was quite predictable; despite the fact that she probably knew Scratch and Ember too, she was only ever using the Metal Claw. Tyrogue personally would have given the Ember a try, since it could burn. The Metal Claw struck hard against the Tackle, and for a moment the two Pokemon were locked together snarling until the more powerful move, the Metal Claw, managed to drive Tyrogue backwards, making him cry out but stay on his feet.
The humanoid Pokemon had to admit that he felt Airi was pretty good. He had probably come off worse that turn, but he still hadn't felt too much damage since as the Metal Claw had protected Airi from some of the damage, the Tackle had dome the same for him. Now it was his turn again, and he was choosing between his two offensive moves. Tackle might result in the same thing, while the Fake-Out might just stop Airi from attacking. Tyrogue lunged forwards in the said Fake-Out, hoping to make the Charmander flinch.

Rin watched as Tyrogue shot forward in another Fake Out attack and unleashed the power upon her timid Charmander, sending her flying above the ground slightly and crashing back onto it as she tumbled aong, her tail winding around her small body as she did so. Airi looked like she was suffering quite a bit now... She'd had the fight with the Skorupi before as well, and although she hadn't sustained much damager, the tough Tyrogue was bringing her down quickly. Rin had hoped that using Metal Claw so much, the secondary affect might come into play, but it had yet to eb activated, since Airi's attack had not risen. Plus Metal Claw was the strongest move that Airi knew... BUt with the Tyrogue speed and power, it would probably be safe to keep her distance since she was tiring too. Rin stared out to her Charmander and her chest began to ache as the small lizard slowly stood herself up, the scratches and bruises on her body standing out against her sunlit skin. The fire on Airi's tail was burning still, but it was a smaller flame, slightly flickering in the faint breeze... Soon enough, Airi would be struggling even to keep her footing... Rin tore her gaze from her Charmander and stared out toward the fighting type, "Use ember once more." Airi began to pant before taking a deep breath and shooting fire at her opponent, thank goodness tehre was no flinching but that didn't ensure the remainder of the battle.

Birdy//♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥Tyrogue watched as Airi got back to her feet, the little Charmander the picture of determination. The Fighting type smiled, expecting her to launch into another Metal Claw so he prepared himself to dodge another physical move. Because of this, the little Pokémon was shocked to find burning pain over his body; an Ember! Snarling in frustration, Tyrogue realised he'd been caught by surprise. The snarls grew louder as he found that on his arm, the pain wasn't fading and there was an angry red blotch; the stupid lizard had Burned him!
Alright, that did it. Airi was going down. The Tyrogue's eyes were narrowed as they fixed the salamander in their sight, the Pokémon tensing his legs to charge. He suddenly began to sprint for his opponent, charging furiously at Airi in a strong Tackle attack. Would this one hit? Would Airi manage to hang on through another attack?

Rin stared as the Tyrogue grew to his ultimate rage and sprinted for an extreme tackle attack. Rin felt teh skin around ehr mouth twitch in anxiety, although that had rarely happened lately - but although she knew that her own reactions were not quick enough she was surprised to find that Airi herself had quicker reactions. Although Rin had not ordered an attack, although she was a timid and shy Charmander, although her attempts had failed on the last battle, Airi had managed to avoid the attack... The Charmander had realised that the Tyrgoue's rage had mde him sligthly clumsier and she had shifted her weight so that the Tyrgoue passed in front of her and she growled laoudly in his ear as he shot past, hoping to lower his attack. Then aiming for his back she shot another ember. Airi was panting tremendously as she released the fire balls again and Rin watched as the flame on the lizard's tail had grown larger and burned brighter. Kiyoshi turned to Rin and said seriously, "It's her ability, Blaze. It increases her fire power when she's low on health." Rin stared out at her panting, large tail flamed Charmander. It was good Blaze had been activated but it meant that Airi was seriously low on health. They needed to wrap this up, and fast. Hopefully the extra powered ember attack would deal enough damage... though it was highly unlikely.

Tyrogue was at last becoming tired too, panting very lightly as he turned quickly on his heel as soon as he realised that his Tackle had missed so not to risk any time with his back turned to a Pokemon growing more and more desperate. When he faced Airi, not too worried about his now slightly lower attack stat, he could see she was so weak her Blaze ability had kicked in. He tried to dodge the Ember, but his kind were not the fastest and the flames touched his skin, the boosted attack makng him cry out in pain.
Now he was showing his damage a little more, but it still hadn't been enough to make him faint. He wknced from the Burn, panting quite heavily as he stood there facing his lizardy opponent for a moment. The battle could go either way, but it was his turn and he hoped to defeat her before she could get back at him for it. The Tyrogue raced ahead in a determined Tackle, although even if it hit this move probably wouldn't be enough to make her faint due to his lowered attack stat. It did seem quite accurate, however, as though it would hit.
