Tyrogue shot forward once more in an attempt to land damage on Airi. It was fast, powerful and full of anger, determination and revenge and Airi was weak as it was. Rin watched as the Tyrogue grew closer and just as it was a second from making contact, Rin called out, "Ember, now!" Rin thought that she might as well make use of the boosted fire power whilst she had the chance so Ember was the right move to use. As she finished calling it out, Aiir had been sent backwards from the hard impact of teh tackle, her small, claw like feet were skidding along the ground and sending debree high into the air as she did so. Airi had been dealt quite a lot of damage and the tackle didn't help her situation. However, at the beginning of her skidding process, as she was still being sent along the ground from the force that had hit her, she had sent several powered-up embers forward. Hoping that in the time she had sent it, the Tyrogue was still in front of her as she skidded backwards fromthe attack and that the froward directed fire attack would hit before he had time to move. But that wasn't necessarily what would happen.

Birdy//♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥Tyrogue had been expecting his Tackle to make Airi faint. So much so, in fact, that his guard was down while he watched the Charmander fall backwards with a pleading expression, hoping desperately that he had won. The flames suddenly found themselves on his face, making him howl in pain and surprise. Wha...? The Ember had struck almost before he'd realised it was there, and the Fighting type toppled over, overbalancing from the force of the attack.
The tired Pokémon struggled back to his feet, panting. Urgh, he didn't feel so good. The Tyrogue was shaking with the effort to stay on his feet, but it was all too much. The tired Pokémon collapsed, falling. He tried to keep in the battle, but he couldn't open his eyes any longer. As they closed, but body relaxed, the Tyrogue fainting. Well, just in time, huh? Paras cheered for his new friend, thinking Airi was very brave.
Tyrogue was defeated! Airi gains two levels!

Airi panted heavily watching until the Tyrogue completely fell into a fainted position. Seeing her opponent collapse, Airi gave a wry smile before her eyes closed in relief and her body slumped to a stop onto the ground with exhaustion (kinda how I feel at the moment ^_^). Rin turned as her ears twitched at the sound of a THUMP onto the ground. Looking over in interest she saw that her Pokemon had collapsed into a pile on the floor, and her eyes spread wide in surprise. Quickly running over, she knelt down and checked her Charmander over. Airi was covered in bruises, scratches and her flame was low on her orange tail, her breathing had now come to a steady pace and Rin stroked the small lizard's head, sighing. Kiyoshi ran over to where Rin and Airi were and in worry he looked to Rin and said, "What's wrong?" Rin sighed and continued to stroke her Charmander, eyes locked onto her orange, gentle face, "She fell asleep." Kiyoshi sighed in relief as he stared at the sleeping Airi, her stomach gently rising and falling as she was elegantly bundled up, asleep on the floor doozing from the battle. The Weavile daemon then began to giggle at the innocent Charmander.
Rin looked at her brave Charmander and rubbling inside her cloak pockets pulled out a potion gently spraying it on her Charmander's wounds as she slept. Then finishing the health check gently picked up Airi so that she was layin alseep horizontal to Rin's arms. Rin then looked at the fainted Tyrogue and then back toward the path. Kiyoshi looked at the Tyrogue and gently picked him up before placing him into the bushes before he awoke once more. Then the daemon placed himself by the side of his human. Rin looked forward in the path, and continued along Route 1 as she said, "Kiyoshi, Paras let's keep going."

Paras was thinking as they walled, thinking hard. The timid little Pokemon had unsurprisingly never battled before in his life, but he wanted to give it a go. The mushroom wasn't sure whether it would be all that wise a thing to do. After all, it might end up like poor Tyrogue! Still, battling looked like fun, and as well as feeling instincts that told him it was a bad thing, Paras felt instincts telling him to do it. After all, maybe this way Rin would catch him and he would be with his Charmander friend Airi forever!
Finally, Paras made up his mind. He decided that battling would be a fun, happy experience, and he should try it would. If he fainted or caught- well, he didn't care about that too much. He wouldn't mind being caught, in fact. He looked up at Rin, wondering how she would react. She was rather unpredictable and a little strange, but he could see she was nice. ~Rin, I would like to battle. But not Airi; she's tired and it wouldn't be right fighting a friend. Send out someone and I'll fight them!~

Rin stopped and looked down when she heard a small, quaint voice. She saw that the little Paras who she had allowed to accompany them was looking for a battle, obviously wanting to become stronger, or that he wanted to prove that he could be a useful member of her team by fighting and then hoping to be added to it. Turth be told, Rin had never truly intended for a Paras to join her team, she already had a part bug type and she wasn't too enthusiastic about a Paras or Parasect... So even if she did catch Paras, having him on the team would not be a priority... But at least he could then meet up with his friend more than if he were left behind. Besides, Rin knew what it was likt to be forever seperated from your loved ones, and although the two had known one another for mere moments, a srtong connection was definitely there. Turning to her side so that she faced the Paras head on she looked down at him with intenses eyes, "You're certain about this." It was a statement rather than a question but she wanted to see the true intent behind the bug/grass type - and it was definitely present. Looking down at the tired Airi in her arms, Rin nodded and stepped away from the Paras, Kiyoshi following beside her. When she was a distance away she turned back to face the Paras and nodded as she pulled out a Pokeball, "Haruto, it's your turn." Miyu released a red blob from the ball and the light quickly faded to reveal a Skorupi. The Skourpi was prety confident when he saw an opponent in front of him. He was determined, strong and strategic - trouble was he didn't like to take orders. This battle was so that Paras could have a good fight and so that Rin could teach her Pokemon to trust her, or at least follow what she said. Miyu looked from her Skorupi and hoped for the best from him, hoped that he would listen to her. Then she looked back to Paras and Kiyoshi smiled smugly as he crossed his arms and whispered, "This should be interesting..." Then he called out, "Alright Paras, you can go first."

Paras smiled as Rin accepted his battle request. He could see that he wouldn't be a whole lit of use to the girl, especially since she'd released a Skorupi. Still, Skorupi were more for offense, while Paras like himself could bring a whole range of new annoying stat changers to her team such as Poisonpowder, which would be useful on thei own but perhaps could be very handy if Paras had a more offensive Pokemon to help in a double battle, or if he learned a couple of TMs. He didn't want to leave Airi too much, and knew there had to be some way he could be useful.
Well, he could prove himself now, in this battle. Haruto the Skorupi hadn't moved, meaning he would get the first turn, right? Rim confirmed this, and Paras started to attack. The mushroom raced towards Haruto for his first move. He was surprisingly fast for a bug type, which would probably make this battle a little harder. Paras, now he was attacking, seemed a lot stronger than he had first looked. He was using a Scratch, the claws moving forward to try and strike a heavy blow on his newest scorpian like opponent.

Haruto was no stranger to the move scratch. In his previous battle with Airi, the Charmander that he had fought and was now commanded under the same trainer as, she had often used the move scratch with her retilian claws. The scratch brushed against his side and he winced from the pain, but it was the first move and the pain itself was brief and wasn't as painful as expected. Rin watched as her Skourpi focused back onto the battlefield, "Haruto use a Bite on Paras' claw." Haruto listened to his new trainer and clicked his tongue at the sound of her voice, opening his mouth he let loose a Poison Sting. The purple barbs shot toward Paras, despite the orders of a different move. Haruto had heard correctly, she had shouted Bite. But why should he use the move Bite when he could use Poison Sting that was supereffective against a Paras opponent, and when it had teh chance of poisoning him too? It made more sense for a Poison Sting than a Bite so he followed his instincts and disoebyed his newfound, arrogant trainer. Rin narrowed her eyes at her Skorupi. He had disobeyed her purposefully. What did he thinK? That she was trying to get him to feel pain? She would never inflict pain to those whom sne trusted, trusted enough to have by her side. Yet here he was. Her first captured Pokemon whom didn't seem to give a damn about her opinion or tactics. Kiyoshi watched as Rin's rage began to start its rapid growth and he looked out, disappointed at the Skorupi who had taken control of the battle. Soldiers were meant to follow orders and fight fot those they cared for, not take control and ignore those that cared for them in risk of their own pain. The daemon was disappointed in the Skorupi extremely.

Ooc// Since Keows has said she'll be gone a while, is it possible for you to take over Sulteron's thread again?
Ic// Paras smiled as he saw Haruto disobey his trainer by using Poison Sting rather than Bite. The mushroom could see Rin's strategy behind her choice in move, and in his opinion the main advantage a trainer gave to their Pokemon was strategy and it made battles so much more interesting, fun and unpredictable. The Poison Sting did hurt, but even though it was super effective it wasn't that powerful to start with and failed to poison him, which in his opinion was most definately a good thing. Paras gave the Skorupi a mocking smile, as if making fun of his disobediance. In his opinion, it was a stubborn and childish thing to do.
Good, now it was his turn to attack. He could always try and use his only offensive move, Scratch, again, but he thought that it might be a good idea to use a different one in order to weaken Haruto and make him easier to beat. Both his other moves were status inflicters; one would induce poison, the other paralysis. He considered making his opponent angry with the irony of being poisoned after what he'd done, but thought that maybe having a slower and sometimes frozen opponent would be better. He took in a deep breath then blew hard, send a cloud of spores billowing out in all directions in a Stun Spore.

Haruto didn't have much time to react, as did Rin. The Paras let out a sudden burst of golden powder that echoed away from his body and engulfed the Skorupi as the wave hit him. Rin didn't blink as the yellow spore rippled around the Paras. The stun spore hit Haruto but continued going, it flewpast Rin's legs and created a small breeze as it did so. It didn't affect Rin and didn't reach the sleeping Charmander in her arms, and Kiyoshi had made quick work of it, protecting himself with an icy punch as the spores came close to him. However, Haruto, the one who the attack had been directed at, didn't get off so easily. Rin looked out toward Haruto. He seemed fine, whether or not he would obey her was a different question. As her brown tuft ears waved in the slight breeze, and her golden, blonde bangs flowed gently she called out to her Pokemon, "I said to use Bite." Poison Sting was effective against Paras but was weak even with doubled power, it was half the power of Bite and had a low chance of causing a stat change. Haruto however was not focusing again. He thought that his strategy was correct. And opening his jaw he attempted to let loose anoethr Poison Sting. However as he tried to move the muscles in his jaws, they would not obey. Just like he did not obey Rin, his muscles did not obey him, and several yellow sparks were seen quickly surrounding Haruto with quick shot bursts of spark. He couldn't move. Rin sighed deeply as her Skorupi, due to lack of trust in her and the inabliity to focus had caused him to be paralysed so very easily. And thus their move for this turn in battle was over without any effect on their part coming into action.

Paras smiled. Good good, Haruto ws showing clear signs of being paralysed by not moving. The mushroom knew that this was a good thing for him, since it meant the scorpian would be slower and occasionally stop altogether. Now he saw the effects come into play, he had a feeling that this might just benefit his opponents in the long run, too. It might teach his disobedient opponent a lesson, make him more likely to obey now he understood what it was like to be ignored. Well, that was good too, Paras thought; if everyone was happy and on good terms with each other, the world would be a better place.
Paras clicked his claws against the ground. Now it was time for him to take hold of this oppertunity forvan easy move while he still could, before his opponent regained movement. The bug let a snarl cross his face as he moved closer and closer to his foe, claws at the ready. He grew even closer, until he was almost upon Haruto now. His claws were ready to suddenly lash out for the Skorupi with a final strike, the Scratch attack seeming to have pretty decent chances of being successful.

The Scratch attack hit as expected since the Skorupi who was being taregeted was paralysed. Rin watched as the claws dragged down Haruto's side as he wasw powerless to repress it. His neck winced as he tried to pull away and his eyes showed pain and annoyance from the inability to move. Rin looked out and as Paras was still pretty close she hoped that this would work and that Haruto would listen. She closed her eyes and looked down at the fiery lizard in her arms, before ignoring ehr disbelief in her Pokemon and she stared back toward him. She had to believe he would listen otherwise there was no hope or encouragment at all, "Haruto. Listen to me, and trust me. Use Leer and Bite. Just once you must have trust in me." Haruto heard his trainer and he rolled his eyes back to try and see her as he tried to shrug off the paralysis. Her words echoed inside his mind and in a moment of confusion adn panic he glared at the Paras that was directly in front of him, hoping his leer would work. And then he pulled his jaws open, fighting the parlaysis he endured and attempted to clamp them down hard on Paras' nearby claw. He was paralysed but his attacks had managed to come through, but then again they could miss.

Birdy//♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥Paras watched as Haruto was affected by the paralysis again, and it seemed he had also suffered from the Scratch quite badly, too. The Leer lowered the mushroom Pokémon's defense stat, making him a little worried about how the Skorupi might just manage to follow that with a damaging attack. He took a step back, watching him carefully. As the Bite came forwards, he moved to dodge, but from that close a range even a paralysis slowed Pokémon would be able to land an attack a lot of the time.
The Bite struck on Para's leg, rather than his claw, the and the Pokémon began to squeal in pain as a result. He struggled furiously with great energy, attempting to pull himself free of the Bite's painful grip. He was a little scared as to what would happen if the paralysis locked that shut jaw the next turn, but tried hard not to think about it as he made his move. He trusted his instincts and lashed out with a close range Scratch attack, hoping that this way Haruto's instinct of letting go of something causing pain would kick in.

Rin watched as Haruto obeyed her commands for the first time. But she saw the pain he was in. Fighting the paralysis was hard and it wouldn't work all of the time.... But if she healed her Pokemon Paras could keep inducing a status... Rin thought this out carefully, and as she did so she saw Paras unleash an undodgeable scratch. Annoyed at her lack of concentration she watched as Haruto released his grip in pain from both Paras na dthe paralysis... Rin knew he wouldn't be able to attack at any rate like this... but paras was a stat-inducing Pokemon. "If Paras induces stat problems he can't attack - don't forget that Rin." Rin looke down at her daemon. He had his eyes closed and arms crossed, and when he felt Rin's gaze on him he opened one eye and looked up. He then smiled and gave a short chuckle before closing is eyes again. Rin thotugh about what her daemon had said, he never wasted his breath so what he said was important... Stat moves... If Paras used a stat move that would mean that he couldn't attack... That was it! Even if Rin kept healing Haruto and Paras just paralysing or poisoning him again, Paras would not get any damaging moves in. Eventually Paras would have to stop in order to fight! Rin gave a small smile and her ears twitched once more, she then ramaged in her pockets of her coat.
SHe pulled out a yellow bottle and threw it at her Skorupi. It slowly lifted into the air and when it was near Haruto, Rin threw out a small dagger that pierced the bottle. The bottle then broke and the contents poure over teh Skourpi. Haruto wondered what had happened but then felt the force eeping him tied down disappear and he could mvoe again! Shocked he looked back to his trainer in astonishment "Now that I've helped you a little, planning on listening to me?" Haruto gave a smug smile and said confidently, "Only if you're planning on winning, girl." Rin smiled confidently at him in reply (maybe these two had a lot in comon despite their annoyance towar one another), "Why of course I am." Haruto then looked back toward Paras and shot him a Leer; it was as much as he could do this turn. Then after he had completed his attack he stated, "Your move bug. Give it your best shot." Haruto was ready this turn.
