Demyx trodded through the snow, leaving a line of clear land behind him in which his pokemon, and Eevee, and his daemon, Myde, traveled. "Why don't we stop a while," he suggested, holding his sitar up above the knee-deep snow. "Deal," replied the shivering Myde. They settled in a clearing and Demyx cleared some of the snow away for them to sit.
Demyx sat with myde on his right and the Eevee on his lap. "You need a name, you know," the semi-vaporeon morph told it. "Yeah?" was it's reply. Demyx nodded thinking for a moment. "~How 'bout Dyme?" Myde asked. "I like it," the newly named Dyme answered. "Cool," Demyx anounced, smiling, "Dyme it is."

ooc// By the way, you might want to write Dyme's personality and pick its gender in the PC, it'd help me when I refer to it in my posts. Also, the Metranome is entirely random- I used a random number generator and then matched the number to an attack on this list.
ic// A Pokémon was smiling, rather pleased with itself; it was nice and warm despite all the snow. It could see a trainer, his Eevee and his daemon up ahead, and so decided to listen in on them for a little. After all, it wasn't as if there was much else for it to do other than wait for spring, which would come in about a week's time. The Pokémon heard the daemon, 'Myde', and the human, 'Demyx', give the Eevee the name of Dyme. It seemed like they'd combined their names for the fox. Also, they seemed to like the letter y.
Well, it didn't have a name, and if it did, it would choose one without any letters from the last half of the alphabet! The Pokémon darted forwards very slowly, revealing itself to the group- a Munchlax. Quite rare, Demyx was very lucky to meet one. They were quite popular, but like Dyme didn't have the best moveset ever. It presently waved its arms about in a Metranome attack, and ended up firing a Giga Drain at Dyme.

"Whoa!" Demyx wasn't expecting to see a pokemon, espesially not one quite so rare, "Uhhhh..." He quickly dug through his pack and pulled out his pokedex. Holding it up, it read, Munchlax; the big eater pokemon. It wolfs down it's weight in food once a day, swallowing food whole wit almost no chewing. Just then, the Munchlax used an attack, Demyx didn't know what it was called, but somehow it ended with a Giga Drain fired at Dyme. "Dyme!" Demyx called, "Dodge, or something!" He obviously wasn't very skilled with pokemon battles yet. Dyme move out of the way just in time, his swift body moving him just enough. OOC: I will; I hadn't decided what I wanted it to be yet. He'll be male, with some sort of personality. And Myde and Dyme are anagrams of Demyx, but without the X And I chose yawn for the egg move XD

Munchlax frowned as Dyme dodged her attack. Aw... what a shame. Well, she'd be able to hit him some other time, right? The Normal type prepared herself for a retaliation, but got none. Ha! The Eevee hadn't attacked! Brilliant, that made up for the dodge, sort of! Munchlax smiled, looking kind of cute as well as pleased. This battle was entertaining so far... she just needed to think of an attack to continue it.
The Munchlax eventually decided on something. She began to charge at Dyme, in what was clearly the basic move of Tackle. She wasn't moving very fast, for obvious, weight-related reasons, but for the same reasons the attack would have more 'oomph' in it if it hit. Munchlax's weight made her attacks more painful, but they also meant they would be easier to dodge.

Demyx smiled, seeing that Dyme had evaded the attack. "Uh..." he floundered, at a loss for words when the Munchlax used another attack. He could dodge again, or he could attack himself. He decided, in only a second, to attack the wild pokemon. "Dyme," he called, "Use tackle! Try to attack from the side." He called the last part softer than the first, hoping Dyme wouldn't be as hurt than if he hit the Munchlax head on.

Being a slow Pokémon, Munchlax was aware that she didn't stand much of a chance at dodging. Rather than attempting and so failing, she simply puffed up her tummy. Dyme hit that, and Munchlax took a little damage. Not too much, though, since her fat absorbed the impact. Oh, right; that was another little advantage a Munchlax had. They had a good defense as well as a good attack, but very poor speed to make up for it.
Munchlax was aware that she hadn't scored a hit yet as well. Her Metranome/Giga Drain thing had been like a normal Giga Drain, but Dyme had dodged it like her Tackle... would she ever manage to hit the stupid fox? The Pokémon hoped so, because there wasn't much point in fighting a battle if you couldn't hit the opponent, was there? She charged at Dyme in another Tackle, still slow to her dislike, still easy to dodge.

Dyme danced away from the Munchlax, but was still in the eye site of the wild pokemon. "Dyme," the Eevee's trainer called, pointing at the wild Munchlax "Use yawn! Then try and dodge!" Hopefully, the attack would cause the incomming attacks to slow down even more and eventually the sender would fall asleep, but that was only the plan. Dyme sat down, still pretty far from Munchlax, but not too far, and yawned.

Oh, what? Dyme had dodged again?! OK, Munchlax was absolutely furious now. The Normal type hadn't delivered a single hit yet! And now the stupid Eevee was using a Yawn! That made Munchlax feel pretty tired, but that didn't stop her being angry. In fact, she wanted to just leave right now. But she didn't... after all, perhaps she might get better luck now. It was clear that she was dealing with a wimpy Pokémon who didn't seem to think he would be able to take a single hit.
Well, the little fox could take all his pride and flush it down a toilet if he wanted to, but Munchlax wasn't wimping out! She was going to stay in this fight until the very end! Munchlax prepared herself to use a Metronome, but then decided against that. There was no knowing what attack she'd generate, and it might be something bad. Instead, she opted for a good, solid Tackle attack, charging at Dyme with as much speed as she could muster; in total, about as fast as the previous turn had been.

Demyx watched as the Munchlax only seemed to grow tired, and try to attack with a tackle again. Maybe there whas something different Dyme could do to do more damage...? "Dyme," he called softly, "See if you can wait untill the last moment and jump untop of the Munchlax. Use tackle." Dyme nodded, understanding his trainer and waited for the wild pokemon to grow near.

Munchlax was unaware of what Dyme was doing. He hadn't attacked yet, even though Munchlax's Tackle was taking up like, two moves or something. Then the Pokémon felt the effects of the Yawn come in closer. Her eyelids drooped, she prepared to sleep... but then she realised what her hold item was. Munchlax rarely go far without food, and this was no exception. She, rather proud of herself, pulled out a Chesto Berry and ate it happily. She was now wide awake, and still coming strong in the Tackle. It was nearly at Dyme.

Dyme, at that moment, took the chance to jump, hoping to land on the Munchlax, and he would if she kept that pace. He readied a tackle in mid air, ready to go out with it; but, unfourtonetly, he had jumped too late. The Eevee was hit with Munchlax's tackle and thown to the ground.

ooc// Sorry, but I gotta point out a rule to you here. You can't dodge more than three turns in a row, and you've dodged four turns in a row. The rules says that after dodging three times in a row you have to wait two turns before you can dodge again, and after that you can only dodge twice in a row max.

ooc// Thanks. You do know that Pokémon can still attack if they've been hit, right? Cos they can.
ic// Munchlax grinned, overwhelmed with joy as Eevee was hit by her attack. He wasn't even retaliating, something which made her a little wary of traps that Demyx might be setting about the battle. Well, she would try and avoid something if a trap did spring up. Eevee's body falling did give her a painful jolt on the head, but it was half as bad as an actual Tackle. The Normal type wasn't sure whether to be happy, puzzled or cautious. In the end, she chose to be all three, which was a rather odd mixture.
Now it was her turn to attack, right? She supposed that now she'd landed an attack, a Metranome wouldn't hurt, would it? Well, if it was a move which hurt the user it would, but that was besides the point. Munchlax grinned as she wiggled her fingers, points of light coming from the two she was using. When they faded, she was ready to use the attack. Her eyes widened, hardly daring to believe her luck with this one. She stepped back a bit from Dyme, raising her arms. Electricity crackled from them, and then she sent it towards Dyme in the very accurate and powerful move known as Thunderbolt.

OOC: No problem, and yeah I know ;D
Dyme was just begining to stand up again as she was hit with Munchlax's thunder bolt attack. He was flung back a bit and landed on his belly, standing up quicker than last time. "Dyme," Demyx suggested, "Why don't you try yawn again? Munchlax probably doesn't have another berry...." The Eevee sat down and used his attack, silently hoping it worked.
OOC: Wouldn't lightning bolt be so much more effective? Thunder is just a sound XD
