Yelping as Star Scratched him, Wooper shook himself, trying to concentrate. "Gaah! Oh, no! Fanged Mud bites again! Star, I'll help you!" He struggled towards her, watching her rub her side and wince in pain. Abruptly, the haze around his eyes cleared, and something clicked. "Hold on...wait a second..." He brushed some of the mud off of him and hopped on top of it, able to stand on it quite easily now that the Confusion had worn off. "We were in the battle! Heck, how'd we get in THIS mess?" Jumping off the mud, he yelled, "Ready, Star!" and although his tail and legs ached, the Wooper sucked in his breath and let loose the strongest Water Gun he could muster. He thought frantically: what had happened in the past five minutes? His mind was fuzzy, and all he could remember was something about biting mud...this was too strange. The last thing he had known was Star's Sweet Kiss attack--well, he'd have to carefully avoid that from now on. Whatever that attack had done, it had taken a lot out of him, and he knew the battle would be closing in a few moves.

Star giggled atanding up and shaking her fur, mud flying everywhere. She Growled with pleasare, using the attack, then went with a Tickle then a Scratch, hoping to lower Wooper's defense and attack before hurting him. Sky was laughing along with Buziel while Cloud simply grinned. She had never been confused, but it seemed to intoxicate you, or something of the sort. The Wooper didn't seem to remember what had gone on. Interesting.

Wooper winced a little as he felt his Attack go down, but no sweat—he could only use Water Gun, which was a Special attack, anyway. He barely rolled out of the way of the Tickle in time, although he felt the scratch hit right across his shoulders, stinging badly as he slid on the mud. The feeling of the cool stuff was quite relaxing on his aching shoulders, however. Grinning along with the others (although he was not exactly quite sure what they were all so amused by) he stomped the wobbly ground in a Mud Sport, then diving forward and giving another nice, solid Water Gun. He frowned a little—it was pretty clear that Star wasn’t so tired, even though he certainly was, for some reason. Ah, well, losing his independence would somewhat suck, but it’d be nice living with the winged Trainer and Star.

Star was soon covered with mud again as the mud sport sprayed mud everywhere. She laughed as his water gun hurt her, short her back a bit, but cleaned the mud off her fur. She stood up afterword and shook her coat before going with another couple Scratches.

Wow, she must be quite used to water, Wooper mused to himself, grinning appreciatively as the Water Gun pushed Star back and cleaned off the mud in one go, so the glimmering blue fur was visible once more. After shaking herself and spraying droplets of water every which way, she had dashed forward, claws extended. Concentrating, Wooper yelled, "I'm not goin' down quite yet!" and rolled out of the way in the same technique he had used to avoid the previous Tickle. The maneuver was impressive on the muddy ground, although he was a Wooper, so perhaps it was not quite as admirable as it could have been. However, as he dodged the first Scratch, he felt his shoulder twinge where it had been Scratched before and he flopped to the side awkwardly, unable to get up in time to get away from Star's second Scratch, which caught him in the horn and sent him into the mud face-first. "Yah!" he yelled, struggling upward and gasping for breath somewhat, he leapt at Star and used Water Gun, knowing that this move would probably be his last if he couldn't dodge Star's Scratches from now on.

Star danced out of the way of the Water Gun, a simple spray hitting her fur. She did like water, after all. She had laughed at his call and went forward with another two Scratches. She had other attacks, but Scratch seemed her faveroite at the moment.

She really did seem to like the water, even if it was damaging, even giggling a little as she bounded forward for her next attack. Wooper was surprised, but he shrugged. All the better; if Star likes water, we can go swimming together! he thought, satisfied. He was a little apprehensive because the Kitu seemed to be fighting on her own accord, without much input from her Trainer. Taking instructions from a Trainer was the key to getting stronger faster—after all, that was why most trained Pokemon were stronger than those found in the wild, since they had a human to help think of ideas and to hone their abilities. But if the winged Trainer wanted to let him be more independent, that was fine, too. He enjoyed his independence, and even if he decided that he hadn’t minded traveling with her, Wooper wasn’t too keen to relinquish it soon.
He was so caught up in his thinking that Star’s claws were inches from his belly when he realized that he was being attack. Thinking fast, he fell backward into the mud, and Star’s paw swiped through the air where his stomach had been moments before. But Wooper had forgotten that she had a second attack—and with the other Scratch, he flopped limply, weak and tired. How could she have so much energy? Ah well…~Yo, Star, good work. Hope to be on your team, eh?~ he said, thinking of Pokeblocks and Blackglasses before fainting.
Wooper was defeated! Star gains 2 levels!

Star nodded, smiling at Wooper's words. ~You too,~ was all she could think to say. Sky threw a Pokeball out and returned Buziel to his. She walked up to her blue Kitu and picked her up twirling her a bit, praising her. She wasn't really good at giving orders, but the Pokemon needed their own independence too, right. Plus, wouldn't they know better with attacks and such?

Wooper was fainted as the Pokeball hit him, but he quickly found himself weakly awake inside the Pokeball. Being used to his freedom, he found it seriously alarming, and while he did want to stay with Star and the winged trainer…geez, this was all too much. Instinctively he whacked the side of the capsule powerfully with his tail, whomping it again when it didn’t give. Then he remembered that this was part of being a Trainer’s Pokemon. He paced up and down—he didn’t like it much, but he’d suck it up if he had to, he supposed, and at this point, the Pokeball which had been shaking in the mud suddenly stopped and announced Wooper’s capture with a loud ding.
You caught a Wooper!
Name: ---- Species: Wooper Gender: Male Level: 6 Ability: Water Absorb - This Pokemon heals up to ¼ of its’ maximum Hit Points when hit by Water-type moves. Attacks: Water Gun, Tail Whip, Mud Sport Personality: There is no other word for it; this Wooper is cool. He enjoys spicy foods (especially red Pokeblocks) and he is very collected most of the time. He prefers to be more independent and he always welcomes an opportunity to enjoy himself. This can lead him to be somewhat leaderly at times, and while he doesn’t consciously vie for the center of attention, if a group ends up leaderless, he has no problem stepping in, taking charge, and galvanizing others or helping to find a solution for a problem. He talks in a somewhat strange way, saying, “Yo” and “S’up” and all that, and he also has a great desire to own a pair of Blackglasses.

Stay on Route 1 and try for another battle or proceed to Route 2?

Sky heard the click of the Pokeball and turned to pick it up. "Thanks," she murmered to the Pokeball, glad that he had atleast wanted to go with her. Plus her career, a Breeder, perhaps a trainer as well, accepted more Pokemon. She would find a love for him.
She set off again, avoiding most of the shallow puddles, but walking through the deeper ones. She was odd like that. Though she had no shoes, she couldn't get them wet, she let her pant legs get soaked.
There's still a bit more length to this road. Try for another battle.

As Sky set off, the clouds in the sky fell away considerably, and where only rays of light punctured the cloud cover when Star had been battling Wooper, now sunshine streamed through energetically. Struck by the light, the puddles that Sky splashed through positively glittered, producing gleaming droplets. The air was moist, but not oppressively so, and the darker clouds were completely gone, leaving only fluffy white ones sailing across the heavens. Now that the storm had passed, various bird pokemon called out to each other every so often, mixed with the cries of small mammals and buzzes of insects.
Near the end of the Route, there on the path, covered in muck and ferns was…a Pokemon. She lay feebly in the mud far to side of the path, whimpering quietly, so only those with good hearing would be able to pick the noise out from the rest of the cries. Ferns covered her green fur, and dirt darkened her creamy colored tail, so it would be hard to find her even if one heard her sad murmurs. Upon closer inspection, one would find lacerations all over her legs and back, one of her eyes blackened, puffy, and half-open. A few bits of dark red congealed blood lay around the harsh wounds that would most definitely scar, and due to the fierce rain of the storm, the wounds that had just began to scab were freshly bleeding once more. Who could have done this? And why?

Sky walked along, Cloud investigating the bushes around the path. He heard a soft, almost inaudiable wimper as water droplets ended falling from Sky's last puddle. He stoped abruptly, causeing his human tohave to back step a bit before turning around. "What?" she asked, tilting her head slightly, to which the Daemon's reply was, "Shhhhh...." He heard it again, that time Sky did too, and began to search as a Mightyena, with his human at his side.
Cloud soon came upon the pile of grass and such that seemed to be faintly.... breathing....? A bird Pokemon cawed as he brushed off the coverings of the Pokemon. He couldn't speak; who had done this? Sky came, looked over his shoulder, and gasped, immediutly searching for a Potion to spray on the poor Taleo. She found it and went to spray it, but decided she should move the Pokemon first, and clean it off a bit, from the dirt, grasses and leaves.
OOC: I wonder what color a Pokemon's blood is....?[RandomQuestion]

The Taleo’s eyelids fluttered, and opened as Sky and Cloud approached her, and she gave out a weak yip of protest as Sky bent over her. The Trainer took out a strange bottle and she flinched, bracing her weak body, limbs shaking as the savaged muscles attempted to tighten. Suddenly, a liquid sprayed over her and she felt much stronger. Better, too. She was still incredibly weak and hurt all over, but at least she had the strength to lift her head and properly inspect her surroundings. ~I…I…~ she whimpered fearfully, suddenly giving a light squeal of surprise as a shadow fell over the three of them, accompanied by a few crunches and a loud rustle that signaled the violent parting of bushes.
”Hmm, there it is! How kind of you to find it for us, Pokemorph,” came the sneering voice from a young man who wore some sort of black uniform, although there was nothing on it to distinguish exactly where he had come from. His dæmon, a smug looking Glameow, sniffed around beside him, throwing a distasteful look at Cloud, who had become muddy from getting the plants off the Taleo. ”I’ve been looking for that dang lil’ doggie all day—good find, too, not so common and with quite the strange moveset, y’know? We got to her before the storm, but she got away from us when it hit. Well, that won't be happening now!” He leered at Sky, motioning with his hand for her to move away from the grass-type puppy. ”Now step aside and let me handle it, and all will be good.” He held up a black Pokeball with a T emblazoned on it. Meanwhile, the Taleo’s eyes stretched in horror with the sight of the man, scrambling weakly backward best she could and showing her little needle-sharp teeth. They crackled with weak electricity for a few moments before her head flopped down on the ground again, still too feeble to defend herself even with the Potion. The wounds were still there, but at least she wasn’t on the verge of death anymore.

Sky listened to what he said, before responding, Cloud growling at him. "No," was her simple reply, pulling out a pokeball herself. Buziel's, who she had names Shadow, and another, empty one, but she kept that hidden. Her wings flew up to surround the Taleo, but also making her look more intimidating. "You can't have her," she said after a moment, "Not after her reaction to you. She obviously doesn't want to go with you."

”Oh really?” the man sneered, watching Sky’s wings with a fairly creepy amount of interest. ”I…see. In that case, I shall have to force you to step aside.” He grabbed a Pokeball from his belt and whipped it out, tossing it directly in front of him. The red light formed into the shape of a bird Pokemon—a Murkrow. It folded its wings confidently, nodding its beak to Sky in a bit of a condescending way. There wasn’t actually enough room to battle right where they were standing, though, considering that the clear part of the route was behind them and the Taleo was far in the underbrush, after having scrambled back. If Sky wanted to have a Pokemon battle, she would have to move away from Taleo—something the man eagerly anticipated.
Team ???'s Grunt's Murkrow || Level 7 || Attacks: Peck, Astonish, Pursuit
Taleo’s heart thudded with relief when Sky shielded her with her wings, but she could see the second Pokeball that was hidden behind her back. Nervously, she ducked her head. This Trainer looked nice, but what if she turned mean like the other one? Flinching she continued to back away, trying to blend in with the undergrowth and hoping to simply escape. Unfortunately for her, the Tsuasan member spied this, although he didn’t give it away with expression or speech.
