Sky nodded confidently. "Really," she told him simply. She released Shadow, the Buizel standing in a defensive position infront of them. Cloud noted this and turned to the Taleo, turning into the same thing, though obviously healthier. He sniffed the injured Pokemon, trying to figure out what he could do to help. He simply didn't know what to to. "If you want to battle," the Staraptor Pokemorph began, hair covering half her face, "You'll have to move out back to the route first." She pulled Star's Pokeball out as well, releaseing her, to help Taleo.

”Fine, fine.” The man backed back out onto the main body of the route, seeming apparently unconcerned. His Murkow followed him, throwing a dirty look at Shadow as he did so, flitting here and there and giving the occasional caw, talons curling as he anticipated the fight to come. He began hovering in the middle of the Route, waiting for the first attack but looking like he might attack Shadow at any moment. The Glameow dæmon noticed Star and shot a meaningful look at her human, to which he smiled and said to Sky, ”Hoi, hoi, none of that, now. I see you trying to move that Taleo and if you try stashing him away somewhere else or catching him and running away, I and the rest of my Team will be having something to say about that…something that may involve you in far worse than being beaten in a Pokemon battle. Unless you were intending for us to go two on two—my other Pokemon against your delightful—shiny—Kitu. But one on one is fine as well—just making sure no one has an unfair advantage, eh?” The way he lingered over the word ‘shiny’ anyone could see he was planning to steal Star in some way or another. He drew a Pokeball from his belt, finger on the button and ready to release the Pokemon inside.
Taleo blinked blearily up at Cloud, reaching forward with all the strength she could muster to gently touch his muzzle to hers. Strange. She could tell he was a Taleo, but a…not-Taleo as well, a different kind of being, living and otherworldly at the same time. Remembering the tales her mother had taught her about human daemons being a familiar or spirit of some sort, she backed away again with a bit of fear, then wincing and flopping limply as she put too much weight on a particularly deep avulsion on her front right shoulder. ~Are you on…his side? Him…and the other one, from Team Tsu…asa.~ Her voice rasped so only Cloud could hear.

Sky gave the member a dirty look. "You wish!" she snarled, "I'm simply trying to help her get better. You know what that is, right?" She gave an innocent, slightly pitiful look. "You know, help? Ummm... Let's see here... Be kind… not hurt… ecetera?" She changed her expression again to glance back at the Taleo. "Stay put; don't strain yourself, Kay?" She winked and smiled kindly. Moving out into the open with Shadow, she let him choose the first attack, which was a Water Gun. "Lets get this started," she told him.
Cloud, however, touched his own muzzle with the hurt Pokemon's, causing Sky to lift her hand to her nose before looking at her daemon, nodding when she saw him. "No," he whisphered back, only for her, "We are not with them; we are against him, if anything. Do not worry."

The man laughed lightly at Sky’s reaction. ”Sure, you might be ‘helping’—“ he drew quotes in the air with his fingers when he said helping, ”—it get better now, but it’ll always be a namby, pamby little thing if you’re her trainer. Why, if it joined the great and wonderful Team that I’m in now, its power would surpass all Taleos around the region! But you just selfishly want it for yourself, I see—not for the greater good.” He shrugged, pointing at Murkrow. ”And that marks the difference between petty Trainers like you and noble people like me. Murkrow, deflect that Water Gun with your wing and try an Astonish. Nothing wrong with a good, flinch-inducing Astonish to start a battle.”
Murkrow cawed in assent, then surprisingly curved through the air right in front of the Water Gun, using his wing to bat the water backwards. The attack still hurt, but he had sustained less damage than he would have with the defensive measure. Cawing again, he glared and Shadow and suddenly darted towards him, trying to clap his wings around the Buizel’s ears with his Astonish and hoping to startle him enough that he would flinch and couldn’t attack next turn. As his happened, the Taleo in the bushes wriggled weakly, sniffing the scent of the dæmon-Taleo that still under her nose from the muzzle bump. He seemed like a strong creature, fit and able. Unlike me, now. How will I ever live my life without limping? She sniffed, turning away, trying not to let Cloud see her eyes welling up with tears of self-misery. ~Is your trainer strong enough? I fought against another person from Team Tsu…asa earlier, but he was so strong, so strong…

"Why don't we just let Taleo who she wants to go with," Sky growled, waving for Cloud and Star to come out, "Why don't we let her choose whether she wants to go with the 'honerable and nonselfish' Trainer, or the 'petty, selfish' Trainer, shall we?" Her voice had lowered dangerously. She could just take the Taleo and run, or fly, to a safe place, but she might hurt the pokemon more.
Star came out of the bushes to stand behind her Trainer while Cloud lingered a bit longer. ~She should be,~ the daemon said, ~If not with Pokemon, than with words or stamina; she will fly, though it will exhast her, to get you to safty. Do not worry.~ His words were soft and kind, but not without their usuall disintrest and calmness.
