It's a slightly Grey, but lovely morning on Route One. The bird's are singing, the wind is blowing and the Cubone are running down the road at breakneck speed. "Wait Doc! Slow down! Honestly. How can something with such short stubby legs move like Rotom after a five gallon Espresso?" Serenity says panted from her mad dash. "I don't know. But I do know we'd best catch up to him before he gets into trouble." Blake replies as he rushes after his new Pokemon.
Lucky for both human and Daemon Doc doesn't get much farther before he finds something to hold his interest, a huge pile of leaves. "Now this looks interesting. I'll play here till Blake and Serenity catch up." Doc says to himself and with a bouncing leap he dives deep into the leaves, scattering them into the air. All too soon Blake and Serenity catch up and see Doc having fun in the leaf pile. "So cute. He's just like you when you were little." Serenity coos. "Well, I guess, but we'll have time to play in a little bit. We've got to find some Pokemon and do some training." Blake says as he delves into the leaves. "Ha. Gotcha." Blake says with a smile as he grips something in the leaves. "Got who Blake?" Doc asks from his position next to his trainer. "Wait....if you're there. Then what do I have?" Blake says worriedly.
Ooc: Blake can't understand pokespeak, but Serenity translates and relays the info. Just to make this clear.

As Blake said his words, the object in his grip... did nothing. Hm, if it where a Pokémon, it would probably move, right? Well, it seemed that Blake had in fact held a Pokémon; the object was warm and furry. Long, even deep breaths were coming from it. Purple fur was beneath Blake's hands.
It seemed that the Pokémon was a Rattata. It must have found a nice cosy pile of leaves to sleep. And now Blake was disturbing it... it would be best to leave it be; it looked very young, like a baby, and was bound to be very unhappy if Blake woke it up, plus mum and dad were bound to be close by. After all, the parents would hardly leave their babies unattended. Yes, this thought was proved right; an angry warning hiss and a pair of red eyes came from the undergrowth. It appeared to be two Raticate, although they remained hidden but for their sounds. They were definately not something to cross, and they looked furious. I'd run if I were you, Blake!

Grinning sheepishly Blake gently releases the baby and carefully covers it back up. Slowly but surely Blake and his group move away from the pile of leaves before breaking into a mad dash away. After about twelve minutes of mad dashing the group stops to catch their breath. "Are they following us Serenity?" Blake says as he gasps for air. "No.....I think....we....whew....lost them." Serenity pants her hand clutched to her brest. Doc is laying on his stomach gasping for air. "I don't see why you two should complain. I'm the one with short stubby legs."
Both Daemon and human look at one another, both wanting to scold him, but decide not to. "Anyway, we can't just run from every Pokemon we come across. We'll never get stronger that way." Blake says as he leans up against a tree and sighs.

ooc// -cough-past tense-cough-
ic// A Pokémon was watching them in the trees. So, them as well? She shook her head. Raticate were so protective over there young, and were too easily agitated at this time of year. Hopping to a lower branch, it was visable that she was a Treeco. A scar was other her right eye, indicating a fight. She called out to Blake, saying words which his daemon Serenity would be able to translate.
~You too, huh? Them Raticate a pretty vicious, ain't they? Don't mess with 'em. You'd regret it, you would. When they 'ave young 'uns, they's pretty scary. Got me scar that way, I did. Nearly clawed me eye out.~ she had an English cockney accent, and as she mentioned her scar she pointed at it.

"Ouch. That looks like it hurt. And I know alot about scars."Blake says he points to his own scar on his face. "Yeah but those Raticate didn't have to get all upset like that. We're just a Cubone, a human and a Daemon, not some crazed Skarmory looking for a meal." Doc says thumping his club on the ground. Serenity looks up at the Treeko and smiles gently. "Why don't you come down? We're worn out from running so you don't have to worry about Doc attacking you." Serenity say gently.

ooc// Past tense!
ic// Treeco shook her head. ~I'm perfectly comfortable up here. Gives me a vantage point, tree does. See danger comin', I can.~ she smiled. She looked like she was experienced but, that said, she couldn't be at a much higher level than Doc. All of a sudden, her eyes widened in fear, her mouth open in a silent scream as she stared at a fixed spot. ~Speakin' o' danger, I gotta run. Be back!~ she said, lunging into a mass of leaves covering a branch.
A few mere seconds later, a man came whistling down the path, banging a stick against a lot of things; trees, bushes, the ground. A few Pokémon cried out as he disturbed their homes. At his side trotted a Poochyena. They didn't look the friendly sort. When he spotted Blake, he smirked. "Hey, kid! Have ya seen any rare Pokémon about!" he called carelessly loudly, eyeing Doc hungrily.

ooc:/ Oops. Finally got it. Sorry. Used to writing in present. My bad.
Blake frowned and stood up and dusted himself off before he looked the other trainer in the eye. "We haven't seen anything that could be called 'rare'." Blake said. "That's right. All we've seen is a single Rattata!" Doc growled at the Poochyena.
Serenity could sense that trouble was brewing between these two trainers and quickly moved to quash it. "Now now. There's no need to get aggressive, we are all humans and Pokemon here aren't we?" Serenity said trying to keep the peace.

The Grunt's eyes narrowed as he heard Blake speak. He didn't know they were lying, of course, but he was still angry. No-one in this route seemed to have seen much! He could hardly believe that he'd come to the wrong place! After all, he couldn't be wrong, so it must be everyone else who was wrong.
He glared at Serenity as she tried to keep peace, his own Ekans daemon giving her a threatening hiss from her position draped around his neck. "So? What does it matter that we're the same species? The Pokémon aren't, and I quite fancy that Cubone of yours. Hand it over, and no harm will come to you, that's a good boy." he smiled menacingly, reaching out to grab Doc.

Blake's hand lashed out and grabbed the Grunts arm and twists it, hard. "Keep your hands off Doc. If you wanna battle then let's battle." Blake said with a growl in his thoughts. "And you know what they say about people with Poochyena for Daemons right? All bark. No bite." Doc said snickering at his own joke. Serenity quickly steps back as she sees the battle begin to escalate.

ooc// His daemon is the Ekans, Poochyena is his Pokémon.
ic// The Grunt snatched his hand from Blake, gritting his teeth so not to shout aloud in pain at the twisting. His daemon's tail rubbed the red marks on his wrist with her cool smooth tail, soothing the pain a little. Yes, that would be better. The Grunt smiled at her breifly, before glaring at Blake. "Right, insult me, will you? Well, come on then! Let's see what you're made of! You'll see that Poochyena's bite is oh so much worse than his bark! TACKLE!" he screamed, livid in fury.
Poochyena snarled, angry like his trainer, racing at an impressive speed towards Doc.

Ooc/ There are times I think I would miss Godzilla.
Ic/"Let's Rock and Roll Doc. Ancient Power!" Blake shouted as Doc summons the power of the ancient earth around them. Rocks tear themselves from deep in the ground and hurtle at Poochyena. "I guess I'm the one who's a little boulder" Doc said cracking another joke.

ooc// What happened to Poochyena's Tackle?
ic// Poochyena didn't find the joke at all funny, but was struck by the Ancient Power. He whined as the rocks pelted against his furry form, all because he made his attempt to dodge a little too late. Oh, that was not very good, now, was it? The dog was in pain as he got to his feet. Ancient Power wasn't the strongest of moves, but it was stronger than anything Poochyena could do. The Grunt's face was swisted into a snarl. "Poochyena, Tackle!" he said.
Poochyena, like before, ran forwards by giving the ground a sharp kick, gaining speed as his paws struck the earth in a repepative pattern, over and over again.

Ooc:/I'm learning new stuff all the time.
ic:/ Doc braced himself as the Tackle slams into his mid section and he skidded back. He growled in his own throat, that last Tackle was just as strong as the first. But Doc isn't about to let his trainer down as Blake ordered another Ancient Power. Stones once again rose from the ground and hurled themselves at Poochyena.

ooc// Aw, you're so good to make all these changes. I know plenty who'd yell at me for saying that. Happiness might just come your way
ic// Poochyena snarled, springing as high as he could. A stray clump of Ancient Power struck him, but the rest of the attack went harmlessly past underneath him. Yes, brilliant! He'd dodged the move! The dog smiled an evil doggy grin, toungue lolling out. Hehe. He had them now! The trainer and the Cubone! Haha!
The Grunt smiled. Poochyena clearly had a bundle of emotions bundled up inside him, and it was time to let them out in a way that would be useful. "Poochyena, Howl!" he called. The dog raised his muzzle, letting out a long, low wavering and motivating howl. His Attack would be raised by this.

Doc snorted, he wasn't going to be scared off by a little bit of howling. He tensed his whole body reading another Ancient Power, but then he realized he felt different. His whole body felt energized, like he had tapped into some deep reserve of power he never knew he had. With a roar Doc unleashed the Ancient Power at Poochyena.
Ooc:/ Ancient Power has a chance to raise all stats. Just in case you didn't know.
